Had dinner here twice in the last month. Both times the food was very good as was the service. Last time I ordered the Tomahawk Steak. It was large enough for two and was cooked perfectly and was good as any steak house serves. My only complaint is that the sides they serve could have been better. Limp steak fries and grilled peppers were not the sides that should accompanying a great steak. The price for three people was over $360 plus tip. There are other Italian restaurants that serve food that is just as good and you don't have to rob a bank to eat there. read more

The food here is simply sensational. This was our second time at Zero Otto and it was a wonderful meal. The radiatori cooked in foil is one of the best pastas I've ever had, really delicious. The special short rib homemade ravioli were also excellent, along with the risotto, salads, and pizzas (margherita and sausage/broccoli rabe). Without going into Bronx or NYC, you can taste and experience high quality Italian dishes with elegant and rustic atmosphere. Was here for a birthday. They did the French tasting. Everyone loved the food. I can't have gluten and they accommodated.

The food was delicious. Our waitress and bus people were nice. What was terribly disappointing was how the entire team (waitress, two bus people, manager) rushed us through our meal. They hovered, reaching in to take platters before we had the chance to finish, three different people coming by to ask if we were done with each course - before we were done. Truly ruined the experience. We were a party of four. Our friends were told when they arrived that "time was tight tonight." We all found that odd (isn't that something you say to your staff and not customer?). The same two hostesses discussed (in front of our friends) the need to "flip the table." At the end of our meal (again, kudos to the chef, delicious), the manager brought our check and I told him everything was delicious but that we had felt very rushed by all through our meal. His response: "We have a big party coming in." When I replied that should not impact our experience, he said: "we have 2-hours for each table." I told him we arrived on time and had only been there an hour and a half - he shrugged. No apology. No awareness that his explanations were unprofessional. Our friends swear by the location on Arthur Ave. We may go there one day but honestly, I think we've been permanently soured. read more

I've only stopped by Zero Otto Nove for a function so my experience is limited. We were served a six course meal and each course was better than the last. The service was unusually good for a large reception. The food was even better. Most of us who indulge in what has now become by presidential decree former Cuban contraband enjoyed the changing colors of the leaves on the outdoor patio. The pasta dish carried the night. It was tagliatelle with truffles and I believe it is on the regular menu. While I'm not in Armonk often I'm going to plan a trip and enjoy the restaurant on a normal night. I look forward to it being better than the reception I attended, which in itself is a tall order. read more

Let me start by being fair. I have to eat gluten free. So, I did not get to try the pasta or pizza. But, I did get to try several other dishes and while there was nothing particularly wrong, there was very little flavor. The only term that I can come up with is "bland." My food experience, which involved the octopus appetizer, a meatball appetizer and an eggplant special were acceptable -- but not worth a return trip. The octopus was properly cooked, but actually rather bland. It was not cooked in an exciting way. The meatball tasted a bit like it had too much bread and while the sauce as better than jarred, it also was not very flavorful. I did like the eggplant, but not enough to remember why. My wife told me that the margarita pizza was good. But, my daughter found the pasta to be under cooked. She likes al dante, but this was closer to crispy in her opinion. I don't think that I will seek out this restaurant in the future, but I would not avoid it if I was asked to return. read more

Came here with my husband and mother-in-law for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. Ambiance/Interior Decor was lovely. This place gets BUSY!!! Make sure you make reservations! What we got: Margherita Pizza - Our favorite pizza here. Love the sauce and the crust! Eggplant and Zucchini Parmigiana - So good!! Fettuccine with Black Truffle Special - My favorite!! So worth the $35 price tag!! Rabbit Ragu Rigatoni Special - This was pretty good but the pasta was a bit too al dente for our tastes Fragola la Romana (Strawberries & Cream dessert) - This was okay. Probably wouldn't get again. Service: Service was amazing. Our water glasses were always filled and the waiter plated our meal for us so that we didn't have to worry about divvying everything up since we were eating family style. read more

Pizza here is. Amazing. Sat at the bar, because it was too crowded and at table would take over an hour. My bartender was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of all the drinks and wines. Stopped by for an ad hoc lunch today. The pizza as an appetizer was great - we got the caprese with arrugala fresh mozerella and cherry tomatoes. The crust was crunchy and chewy. A great start. We then shared the roasted potatoes and each got a dish. The dark meat chicken dish was fabulous (chicken scarpariello) there were 7 drumsticks/thighs and a great sauce. My buddy had the chicken breast with wine sauce and another had the baked rigatoni salernitana. The main plates were all large and delicious. It was nice to have the potatoes on the side because the chicken dishes were just the meat and sauce so it needed the side. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. They made us feel like we were taken care of but left us alone as well. I can't give the place 5 stars because we did not try the wines although the list was good looking. We also were short on time and I couldn't convince my team to stay for coffee and dessert. I'm sure the next time I stop in will be for the full treatment and I can raise this to 5. read more

Had very good entrees at both other Zero Otto locations. So we tried the pizza here. Review is only for their Margherita pie -- it was a disgrace. Mostly crust -- the cheese and almost non-existent amount of sauce started halfway up the pie. Although asked for lightly baked, crust was too charred and crunchy- inedible really with a bad after taste. Two tiny specks of basil. We got take-out but ate it right away. If I were in the restaurant I would have returned it. Only good thing- no grease at all. I'm thinking they didn't want to spend the money to sprinkle some good olive oil on it, along with sauce. And 15 bucks for this small sized pie..$15 down the drain. My advice- I have no idea if entrees are as good here as their other sites, but avoid the pizza! read more

It's funny when you return to your hometown after a few years away and you notice things have changed a lot -- in this case, this location has changed a lot and for the better. The redesign of the place was incredible -- high ceilings with an old school look. Formerly Route 22 restaurant, Zero Otto Nove serves up delicious Italian specialties. We came in on a recent Saturday night and the place was packed! We went over to the bar where Arturo helped us out, making some tasty cocktails for us and making sure we were all well taken care of. The food was good - we shared a couple pastas, a grilled octopus dish and a couple of pastas. And I thought for the price point, the food was a good deal. Disappointing. Large, airy dining rooms but bare wood tables and hard chairs--not a luxury feel to go with their luxury prices. Food was good but not exceptional and quite expensive. Mains were served without any accompaniment--not a vegetable or noodle in sight unless you ordered their overpriced sides. If you're hungry and order an appetizer, an entree, dessert and a glass of wine, you'll push $100 per person. IMHO, not good value. Plenty of very good Italian restaurants around at much more sensible (and justified) price points. read more

After sitting down they asked us to move our seats several times and constantly interrupting our conversation. Went for the first time with a good friend who had been there before. I ordered one of the pasta specials that had Cauliflower and spicy grated cheese. While it was good it was lacking something. A little disappointed that they had no Merlot. Shared one of the chocolate and Nutella desserts which was excellent. The restaurant is decorated very nicely but as others have said it is a little loud in there and with a larger group it would be difficult to have a conversation. I did feel like the waitstaff was a bit overbearing. Stopped by our table on numerous occasions to check on us. It was not like they needed to turn the table over and seat another party. This is a nice new spot with good food and lively atmosphere. The skirt steak with arugula is cooked to order and is very satisfying and flavorful, without being too weighty. The pizza is excellent, as are the foil-prepared past dishes - just like they are at Roberto's on Arthur Avenue. Yummy! Downside is the bar service, which can be a tempting place to sit if there is a wait for table. You can watch the game on the TV while being ignored by the overwhelmed bartender. read more

So I Must say, I have been to this restaurant many times before and in general I love this spot! Great for an easy pasta, pizza and or app... I enjoy the atmosphere and the kind staff!! The waiter was just so "arrogant" that no matter how the staff, including management more than compensated I still felt the need to express my pure disappointment! He knew nothing about the wine selection, ordered my dish completely incorrect (I have a high allergy to creams and butters combined with tomato) so when I ordered I asked that these not be added to my branzino...when my dish arrived covered in sauce "he let me know" thats how I had ordered it!! Meanwhile anyone with allergies can attest to the fact that we always say what we can't eat and are allergic too... My husband shared a steak they both felt it was over cooked we ordered a bottle of wine, unfortunately this was very light (but as stated above the waiter) arrogantly had no knowledge of the wine list as well!! I am sad to say this is not a restaurant I will be coming back to for some time, in fact I have a work dinner planned that I will be changing to another local spot...I was beyond disappointed read more

First time coming to this restaurant. Appetizer was okay but our dinners were fabulous! The reason for the 3 stars is that our waitress was really unpleasant. Did not tell us the specials (but told all the tables that came in after us that she was serving), did not ask us how our entrees were and didn't even say goodnight or thank you as we were leaving. My father and I recently went here for lunch, but we weren't very impressed, for several reasons. 1. When we arrived, you'd be hard pressed to tell the restaurant was open from the outside. Parking is in back, and the way the restaurant was lit, we weren't sure the place was open when we arrived until we tried the door, went in, and saw a few people inside. 2. The seating was extremely uncomfortable. We had what was nominally a table for 4, but there was very little space between the chairs under the table, with equally little space between the chairs and the table legs. About half the four tops in the restaurant look equally cramped. 3. Neither of us were impressed by our food orders. Dad thought his was okay but not great, as it wasn't especially Italian. I ordered a meatball parmigiana panini, which turned out to be a large meatball sandwich on round, dense flatbread, without any signs it had ever been in a panini press. I asked the waiter, who confirmed they don't have a panini press. 4. The saving grace was the good service; all the staff were helpful and attentive, but they're not responsible for the menu or the infrastructure. I asked if there was an owner I could speak to, but neither were there the day of our visit. read more

So much to talk about with 089. It's rustic vibes with beautiful outdoor seating. The service was TOP-notch, I was shocked at how good it was considering how busy they were. From wine, to appetizer, to entrees to dessert, everything was out of the kitchen extremely FAST. Our waiter served us our pizza on our plates, which has never happened to me before. It was such a kind gesture, he also took the pasta out of the tinfoil and served it on our plates. The antipasto Freddo was excellent and included Culatello which is the King of the cured meats. It comes from the upper thigh of the pig. It's only produced in 8 small villages in Parma, Italy- south of the Po river. It's very delicate, lightly salted and has a different taste than Di parma and San Daniele. It's aged less than most prosciutto. It's a rare product that now as of fall 2017 is letting producers from Italy import it into the U.S. They had banned the importation of Culatello for a while, but it's back! and 089 in Armonk is where you can find it, you don't want to miss out on trying this! Also, the Sicilian pecorino that is included in the antipasto is outstanding. It's a firm sheeps milk cheese that has incredible flavor and it brought me back to southern Italy after my first bite. Gorgeous bar area and there's roughly about 25 tables in the restaurant (not including outdoor seating) It does get a little loud in there when the place is packed but it's not too bad. I do recommend making reservations. The manager Tony was very accommodating, professional and generous. He made sure everything was going well and little things like that from a restaurant manager go a long way. It makes the dining experience more genuine. The tile Neapolitan pizza oven gets as hot as 750-800 degrees, so naturally the pizza cooks fairly quick. The Diavola pizza was delightful, spicy salami was superb and the sauce along with their mozzarella was great as well. Not sure if they make their own Mozzarella in house, but it's fresh, stretchy and delicious. The pasta was a special cooked in the tin foil which is known as "'Cartoccio". 089 loves the cartoccio pastas as they are not only great for presentation but adds another element to the flavor. Burrata and bolognese was mixed in with the pasta, the creaminess and sweet flavor of the bolognese was a great combo. The wine we chose is one of my favorites, a specialty from Calabria: "Ciro Cote Di Franze" which is the Gaglioppo grape. Excellent wine and I was thrilled to see that on the list. For after dinner cocktails if you're up for it, you MUST go with the tiramisu martini. It will light your world up and inspire a completely new way of thinking. For dessert, the fried shell with the ricotta cream in the middle and another shell on the bottom topped with powdered sugar. It was sweet, tangy and delicious. Overall, 089 in Armonk is a great restaurant that has quality Italian food in a friendly atmosphere. The original location is in the Bronx and they have another in Manhattan. This location doesn't get enough love. I would say this restaurant is a true gem and is vastly underrated in the county. If you haven't been yet, make sure to try it out! Hat's off to the kitchen staff, they do a great job. Waiters/Waitresses were working hard all night, worked fast but efficient and they were on top of their game. If my glass of water was half full, I didn't even have to wait 2 minutes before it got filled up again. Same thing with my wine. With expectations high we couldn't have been more disappointed. We shared the "Antipasto Salernitano Caldo" (stuffed peppers, eggplant, zucchini scapece, & cauliflower) which was enjoyed - a nice start. Everything went downhill from there... Two pizza selections - The Caprese- (mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, oregano,arugola, & shaved parmigiano) & The La Vincenzo (mozzarella, gorgonzola, cherry tomato, & basil) were both boringly (shockingly) bland and tasteless. What was also immediately noticed - the crust. While good there was just too much of it. Approximately 1-1/2 inches into the pie the crust overcompensated the mozzarella and other ingredients. Are we "cutting corners" here?? We certainly didn't expect to pay $30 for that much crust... Keeping in mind the place had three active tables on this Sunday afternoon - The Service was distant and indifferent. Waiters huddled together on their IPhones with customers being the last thing on their minds. We needed to ask for: 1-Refills on our soft drinks - we were informed no refills - just add'l charges - which resulted in $12 for four (4) SMALL glasses of Diet Pepsi - a true crime... 2-Waving a waiter down to request our bill... 3-Waving another waiter down to pay our bill..(our original waiter stayed stationed in the kitchen - guess he was hungry). Awhile back we visited the Arthur Avenue location and had a wonderful meal. To this day their thin crusted Margherita Pizza is one of the best I've tasted. The Italian ambiance was comforting and certainly added to the wonderful dining experience. Not in Armonk - This "barn like" dining room lacks warmth atmosphere. It screams 'fast food chain". No doubt when packed this place is loud. When leaving we noticed large families with children arriving for their pizza lunch. The preferred clientele perhaps?? I came here for a quick bite with a friend because we wanted to try Robert's new Restruant since we've gone to his other Restruant in the Bronx. I thought the food and service was just as good as his ot, however with the high industrial ceilings the noise level was a little bit too loud. I can't imagine coming here on a Friday or Sat. night - the nose level must be over the top! There is plenty of seating inside with the bar area in the back on the side. Went here a few times with kids for a Sunday night dinner. They are always very accommodating with food sensitivities and allergies, the service is impeccable every time. The only downfall is the noise level ( not anyone's fault just the way the space is constructed ) which is not conducive to having a conversation, but is not an issues when your kids spend their time mostly on their phones :) read more

One of the best italian restaurants we have been to in a long time. The food was 5 stars. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it was way too loud (not good for a first date if you are there on a weekend when it is busy.) and tables are crowded together. It seemed to be causing issues w the staff trying to get around to get their work done. Arugula salad was excellent and definitely could be shared by 2-3 people. The radiatore pasta in foil was to die for and we could have split it since there was so much. My husband had the veal ravioli special w corn cream sauce. Delicious. Both dishes were $23, which for the area I didn't think was too bad. For dessert we had the Cannoli which was yummy as well. Definitely will be back when we are in the area. read more
