Has become one of my go to for take out. The chicken scarp grandma pie is one of my kids favorite. The regular thin crust is good, not the best I've had, but does the job. I bet it's much better fresh out of the oven if you eat it there, but because it's thin crust, when in the pizza box for even 10 mins makes it a little floppy. Stopped in for a late night slice of pizza and was pleasantly surprised! The grandma slice is light, airy and crispy. There is a good balance of sauce and cheese. Literally the best pizza I've ever had. I've lived in NYC, Houston, Nashville, and near Orlando. This is the best New York pizza I've ever had. My mom and grandma liked it so much while coming to visit that when we were leaving, they wanted to risk being late for their flight to grab a slice before they go!! Stopped by Venice pizza the other night and was disappointed by the lack of choices. We've been there in the past with the last ownership and now it just seems really limited. I wanted 2 Sicilian slices with pepperoni but only one was left. My bf wanted the arrabiata pizza but they didn't have that either. I got the last Sicilian and a regular slice with pepperoni and my bf got the chicken parm and grandma slice. We also got a side of fries and knots. My husband and I were everyday customers at VINNIES every week we spent an average of over $70 plus dollars a week The last and final order about three weeks ago ended our ever going there again ... two of the things we ordered was one of their special salads., it was disgusting with rotten slimy pieces of avocado which ruined the salad making the whole salad taste rotten it was inedible.. the second item was a chicken cutlet with lettuce and tomato wedge .. the chicken was old dried out and hard it too was disgusting and had to be thrown out too ..... when my husband told the proprietor he never offered a refund or replacement of food instead this ungrateful proprietor when my husband went to pay our bill had indeed charged us for that rotten food and did not make good he words were " oh I'll make good on it next time " excuse me ???? I first heard of Venice Pizza when I received an advertisement for it in the mail a couple of weeks ago. While I'm generally unimpressed with pizzerias in Westchester, Venice stood out to me because they claimed to be "bringing the Bronx and Brooklyn to Westchester". Since I'm from the Bronx and have had my share of Bronx pizza over the years, this instantly caught my eye. Since none of my colleagues bought lunch today, I suggested we order from Venice to see if they lived up to their claim. Looking over the menu, they have a nice selection of pizzas as well as other Italian dishes and some desserts. Since this was our first time, we decided to get a large plain pie as well as some garlic knots and mozzarella sticks. I have to say, the pizza was pretty good. The crust and cheese were just right; the sauce was a little sweeter than I like, but as a whole the pie was a success. The garlic knots were fine - I love carbs so I enjoyed them, but they were neither better nor worse than ones I've tried elsewhere. The mozz sticks were good - I liked that they remained intact while dipping and eating vs. having the cheese too oozy or the breading fall off. Delivery was fast, and everyone was pleasant enough which was an added bonus. Overall, this is probably the closest I've seen to NYC pizza in Westchester. With the relative mediocrity of pizzerias in the county, it's nice to know that Venice is close by. I'll definitely order again to check out more of their selection; I think I've finally found my go-to pizzeria in White Plains. read more

New owner, same good pizza. Venice Pizza has now ben in business over 5 years, and a few months ago, the founder/owner sold the business to a new owner/operator. I'd stopped by the pizzeria near the beginning of this year whil it was still with the original owner, and was impressed by the pizza, though I didn't update my review. Then ownership changed during the summer, and I gave the new owner time to see how the pizza would be once he was settled in. And today, I had a perfect opportunity to find out. I had a short window to get to the pizeria, pick up my order, eat a couple of slices, then get back to the bus stop for my trip home. The trip was well worth it. The 16" large thin crust pies had a crust that was thin, but not overly so, with just the right proportion of sauce and cheese to make for a well balanced slice. That balance aplied not just to the the crust/sauce/cheese proportions, but to the sauce itself - well balanced, nicely seasoned, not overly sweet - just a good, classic pizza sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed two slices (oh, to be young and able to eat half a pie without consequences again), then took the remaining 14 slices, boxed up (I'd bought 2 pies) with me to the bus stop,waited a few minutes, boarded the bus, then exited at my stop, and walked home with enough pizza for 7 more meals. If I stick to 2 slices/day, I'm set for a week. Not a bad outing. read more

My partner and I were visiting White Plains to look at apartments and stopped here for a late lunch. We got a couple slices of the chicken parm pizza, a slice of the margarita, and some garlic knots. Both pizzas were good, for my taste the margarita pizza with the sliced plum tomatoes was a real standout winner. Garlic knots were excellent as well. This is unfortunate that I am writing this review, I've been supporting this business for several years now. Their pizzas are good but after the service I've experienced, I will no longer support their business. I called asking about slices and the owner was very aggressive, condescending and rude over the phone. I wanted to order a couple of slices and he insisted that I order a whole pie. He stated that because of covid, they aren't making slices which is a complete lie as I've been there many of times and saw slices on display. As one person on a lunch break, I am unable to finish entire pie by myself nor have the time to wait for a pie to be mad. After being lied to, I told him that I would have to call him back since he said it would take 45 minutes. He simply hung up and didn't acknowledge what I had stated to him. This type of behavior is unacceptable and barbaric. The owner is a CON and LIAR. Considering these difficult times- customers are trying to support local businesses. Needless to say, I will not be returning nor suggesting this business to friends/family. read more

Today was such a nice day that we decided to go to Cranberry Lake Preserve right here in Harrison, NY. After a 2 hours hike, we wanted to grab some take out to go, and stumbled across this place about 10 mins away. I spoke to the owner, Julio, who was very friendly. I ordered a sausage and pepper roll, while my son got the lasagna and my wife got the buffalo chicken salad. My son devoured the lasagna and absolutely loved it. My roll was pretty good as well and wasn't all that doughy. My wife's salad was plentiful with the chicken and lettuce. There are two outdoor tables with seats which we just took advantage and ate outside. The owner along with the staffs are super attentive and place is extremely clean, even the restroom. Glad to see that especially with covid happening. Definitely giving this place 4 stars. By the way, they can make gluten free pizza out of cauliflower pizza crust as an option. Glad to put the stamp on this and the fact that this is my 300th Yelp review place. Alright!!! read more

If you're thinking chicken scarpariello does not belong on a pizza, well think again. The thin crusted grandma style slice, topped with chicken, sausage and cherry peppers had the vinegar tang of the simmered dish, along with a nice thin crust pizza substrate. One of the better slices i have had anywhere, not just in Westchester. Had I not ingested the chicken square, I might also have waxed poetic about the large triangle of pizza margherita, also thin crusted, tasting of quality ingredients, needing only a dusting of pepperoncino. Didnt even bother to taste it. Cheese seemed poor quality and looked plastic. Kids wouldnt touch the pizza. I didnt even bother to try it - it looked that bad! Grilled chicken was rubbery and so thin! Tasted like nothing. Buttered pasta was fine. Garlic knots were actually fresh and great. Would not bother ordering again. So lany grrat pizza joints in the area. So sorry to write such a bad review - especially in these times when I know restaurants are struggling.
