Closest thing to Detroit style pizza you can find in this area! Crispy crust with cheese and tomato sauce on top. Very nice. This is a take out only place so don't come in expecting to sit. Terrible owner. I'm a delivery person and I walk in there asking for the order I'm picking up. This guy gets out of his chair in the corner and starts going off about how my delivery company sends people out way too early and starts practically shouting. He then tells his staff to wait 45 minutes before making my order. All of this before I even say a word to the guy. Rest assured I called support and they cancelled the order. Geez Louise! Amazing pizza at Joe's! The sauce, the cheese, the crust - it's all wonderfully fresh and flavorful! The awning outside gives it an old world feel almost instilling the excitement of a carnival. Service is efficient and well-run. Outrageously good pizza. Due to the fact that I live like 40 minutes away, I grabbed two pies, a Grandma with sausage (sounds inappropriate when I read it out loud) and a plain Detroit style, which is very difficult to find in the northeast. Both were really amazing and seemed to be made with high quality ingredients. Without question, I'm making the trip there again, and probably sooner than later. I'm an idiot for not trying this pizza sooner! Less than a mile from work and easy pickup window but what took them over the top was offering that fresh burrata on top!! So few places offer my favorite, decadent cheese and this cut the saltiness of "original" cheese pizza underneath. Joe's is honestly the best pizza we've had in tristate, no joke! I used to think nothing beats New York pizza but I was wrong! Joe's has the best crust, we even got dough from here a few times to bake at home. The service is always quick and amazing and super friendly staff. We at least have pizza from here a few times a month. It's our go-to dinner place for movie nights. My kid loves the cheese pizza here. The garlic break stick with cheese is to die for. Hang it up, Joe. I was told last night my order will be ready one hour and 15 minutes and I got there a little early then had to wait an additional 45 minutes in the Nicole Hurricane rain. Being told "20 more minutes" 3 times with no explanation was the final straw. To top it off, The $32 pizza had half of the pepperoni and mushroom that we have been accustomed to. I am ashamed to admit that I've lived in the lower Fairfield County area my whole life and did not try Joe's until 2020. I really have been missing out. By now, I have ordered every style of pizza and none of them have disappointed. I love the dough on their regular pizzas. It's just right in thickness and taste. Their menu is truly unique to the area as well. It is very hard to find Sicilian style pizzas and even Detroit style pizzas. The Detroit is on the heavier side, as the base of the pizza has heaps of cheddar and buttery goodness. The Sicilian pies are thick, yet light and airy. If I were to choose, my favorite has been Grandma's Pie topped with their homemade stracciatella. read more

The new item on their menu is the "Truffle Shroom Pizza". THIS PIZZA is so amazingly good that we came back here, (A 45 minute ride away) to take 2 pizzas home with us. First off, the crust is not super thin. Its perfect. There's a lovely chewy texture to the edges of this dough with its fully cooked crust all the way to the center. I despise soggy pizza and there is no sogginess here. Its the perfect vehicle for a proper amount of white cheeses. Probably the best pizza in the immediate area. The Sicilian is super fluffy, I love it, but if you don't like it, ask them to leave off the Parmesan cheese. The sauce us a little thick and over-spiced but that's my only complaint. It's quite good. Not as good as I can get if I want to drive towards New Haven or towards Mount Vernon but definitely can recommend. read more

I ordered a pizza yesterday, along with wings. At first, the driver delivered the wrong pizza. I had to call the restaurant and they had the driver switch them. Then I opened the pizza I received, only to find out they messed up and put garlic and spices when I specifically told them not to in the notes. See pictures. So I called again and they told me they made exactly what I asked?! Instead of calling Grubhub I was nice enough to deal with them directly and they told me they would remake one but it would take another 40 minutes. But they gave me an attitude insisting that they made what I specifically ordered. This morning I get an email for "adjustments for toppings" from GrubHub, an extra $6.38. If i take cheese and mozzarella off because of a dairy allergy from a $15.95 pie that usually comes with it and simple swap them with CHEAP onions and olives how can they make me pay over $21 for it?!? Basically they charged me $16 for bread and tomato sauce, and then $7 for canned black olives and a few slices of onion. Wow, what a deal. It arrived extremely late, I threw the whole other pizza out cause i can't stand garlic and there was a ton of it on it, I had dinner by myself after everyone else ate, and I have to pay more for this horrible service? No matter if the items that I finally received were actually good or not, the horrible service and experience deserves even less than one star. Never again. read more
