After hearing the commercials for Zerorez on the radio my boyfriend contacted them to clean my family room, bedroom and furniture. I was doubtful that Zerorez would be able to remove the stains in my carpet after I had a different company try only 2 months earlier. I went to work and came home and my jaw dropped. The service technician arrived on time, but acted like he was in a hurry to get done and move on to the next job. After the carpet was cleaned, I couldn't tell that it had even been cleaned. There were still traffic areas that I felt were still dirty. Probably the worst cleaning that I have ever done on my carpet. I would not recommend or use them again. read more

Fantastic job! I must admit I was a bit worried after reading some of the other reviews which mentioned pressure salesmen before the work began. I did not experience that. Steve was professional and courteous, and he did an outstanding job. He arrived on time and called 15 minutes before arrival as promised. The carpet looks great! I would NEVER recommend this company. In fact I am SO disappointed in Zerorez that I opened up a YELP account just so that I could share my experience with others. After explaining my carpet situation of having pets and having urine stained carpet I was assured it would be no problem just an extra charge, which I was happy to pay for. I scheduled my appointment and was given a window between 11-1. I was called about 10 am to see if I could have them come earlier. I said yes and then waited for an hour for them to get there. I was told 1030 and they showed up at 1130. Then upon seeing my stained carpet, and taking pictures to then send to the manager, I was told they would not clean my carpet at all. The tech then went on to say that my carpet needed to be replaced. I explained that I am just renting and the owner lives in another country. I am just trying to maintain the carpet. He told me my house is a, " health hazard" and " I shouldn't even be living in these conditions". After he left, and feeling like a second class citizen who has been humiliated about her home, I called Horizon Carpet Cleaners, who came out within an hour. I ended up paying A LOT less and my carpet looks beautiful. Simply based on customer service alone, I would never recommend zerorez to anyone. When we finally got in touch with them we learned someone was scheduled to show up later that day...way too late for our schedule. It's unfortunate that they didn't follow through as promised. He was Very rude!... he obviously had a time crunch and was fitting me in. because, he saw too much work and told me that I need to go somewhere else or get new carpet... when I originally spoke to the lady she told me that they can get pet stains out of the carpet. after, I spent a whole day moving furniture out of my house to have the carpet guy come and tell me no, he couldn't do anything. I have taken my time to write this response. I was not happy with the service. This was my first time using Zerorez and my carpet was not even a year old and very little traffic. The salesman (and I will refer to him as such) told me that stain guard comes up in a steam cleaning and that I needed to re-apply it now. I did, for an extra $125.00. This was not discussed during my appointment phone call where we set the price. AND Not only was this not true, but when I called the company that I bought the carpet from they said new carpets are stain resistant and don't even need stain guard. I also found out that stain guard is usually good for a couple years. I called Zerorez and complained. They said they don't instruct the workers to pressure customers. I actually felt lied to. They said it's an option and I chose the option...I said that I was lied to and mislead. Result: IF I hire them next year, they will credit me the $125.00 toward my next service. Buyer beware! I will never use Zerorez in Phoenix again. Their representative does not explain the charges and when you ask for a receipt with charges they say they will email you one. When you get it you will be surprised. I had one small area rug cleaned after having 5 full rooms completed for $250. The representative did not explain the cost. As I found out later after retrieving my email bill, that I was charged $21.50 almost as much as a full room for what took one minute to clean. What a rip off and dishonest way to do business. It's cheaper to buy a rug cleaning machine and do it yourself. What's worse is that they did that same little rug for free last time. What a bunch of deceitful cr**ks. Learn from my experience. DO NOT USE! Im selling my house and needed carpets done. My husband calls them on a Wednesday- They had no openings until the following week, so we set an APPOINTMENT for Monday. Their claim to fame is 2 hour window. We get a call on Friday prior to validate the day and time. Monday is here, its 4pm...5pm..we call them they're closed. NO SHOW. We literally took apart beds, moved furniture...had scheduled a photo session by a pro photographer the next day to get pics posted of the house... Zero REZ SUCKS. Basically they lied and said they couldn't reach us, and left a message. BULL they have my husbands number and he doesn't have his VM activated. So ok... My husband speaks to the supervisor, thx $75 off ... ok new appointment for Wednesday same time 4-6pm. Noon I get a call that they are on they're way. WTF no thanks! Husband just kept getting put on hold. NO SOLUTION. Called another carpet cleaner they are coming same day to do what Zero Rez cant. Such a horrible experience! read more

I have to say I was so disappointed in the customer service I received from Zerorez. I had heard great things about them and was excited to use them. When the serviceman arrived at my house he spent 20 minutes walking around telling me just about every mark probably wouldn't come up. We lieterally went through each room with a tooth comb. The service was fine but the next day I noticed three areas where the carpet was now unraveling. I got a follow up customer survey and explained why I was dissatisfied with the service. I got a prompt phone call afterwards and they were investigating the issue and then the customer service rep called and said the tech told them my dogs must have done it. I told them I found it very hard to believe that with as thorough a walk through as I had to do with him that we magically didn't see three areas of carpet unraveling. They said they would investigate further and nothing.... this was over a month ago. read more

I had Zero Rez come out to my house after hearing about them day after day on the radio. One thing I liked, was how the radio host talked about all the pets he had and how Zero Rez really helped with that. We had a problem with a cat that sprayed in 2 rooms after our other cat had kittens. I will say that the initial customer service people who set up the appt were very nice. However, when the guy arrived to shampoo our carpets, he smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. No one in our house smokes and I can't stand the smell. I felt like that was unprofessional, but not a deal killer. When I told the guy the problems we were having, he said the cat urine treatment would be a separate charge, which I expected, but that each area would be a separate charge. An "area" was no bigger than a small slice of bread. So...if there were multiple area in each room, it would have cost us hundreds of dollars, at least! And they are relying on a black light to see the urine, which doesn't really work that well because the room has a lot of light in it, and the carpet is thick. Needless to say, I just had him shampoo the rooms, hoping their "empowered water" would do the trick. I also got a quote for how much it would be to clean our couches, and after I paid that price, I may as well buy new couches. As far as the carpet goes, I felt like they were cleaned well enough, but nothing that would make me pay for their "empowered water" again. And especially because I want a company who I can afford to continue with. Their $139 for 3 rooms is apparently a "first customer deal" , but I definitely would not be able to afford to keep up with a higher price next time. And, if I am going to be loyal to a carpet cleaning company, I want to be able to afford to do the extra things that I want done around the house, like the couches, etc. About 2 weeks after they cleaned the carpets, the smell was still there, and I ended up having another company out who was able to treat the entire room for cat urine and it was one price for the whole room. They use a special chemical also. I understand that cat urine is hard to treat, it's just that this company seems to be made for rich people, not the average hard working American. read more

Technician was on time and professional and he appeared to care about doing a decent job cleaning the carpets in my 4 rooms. . BUT don't expect to want to leave your home when these guys are there. This company has a very insulting policy of not letting the homeowner leave if they have NOT paid in advance. I was going to leave to pick up lunch at the local drive through - didn't even have to tell the tech (home was empty) but seemed like a common courtesy. The tech was apologetic and said was only "following policy" but needed a check or credit card from me before I could leave?!?! He told me that the company had a couple larger high dollar jobs that the owners left and forgot to come back and then disputed the charges?? I don't know about how you readers feel about this but that is a cost of doing business in my book. You can't be successful thinking that all of your customers will "rip you off". The only real satisfaction I received from this company and their services was that their scheduling options and availability were easy to work with. Other than that I was definitely unsatisfied with the cleaning I received. The three rooms I had cleaned looked good after the tech finished but after the carpet dried I could see areas of the carpet where the tech lacked focus on even after i had specifically pointed out those areas prior to him starting. Ill note, my carpet was not heavily soiled with anything other than normal traffic spots so it should have come up with regular cleaning as its been done by other carpet cleaners ive used in the past. Secondly, as highly rated as this company is I expected to get a quality check phone call after my services were completed and never did! I did however get an email survey in which I explained these same complaints. I then received a follow-up call and unfortunately missed this call. I was asked to give them a call back to discuss my concerns and called twice, left messages to return my call and NEVER heard from them again. I need to start by saying they never cleaned my carpets. I wish there was a way to write a comment without leaving an actual review or leaving a star rating. Since there is not this is the only way I have to express my dissatisfaction. Earlier this week I got a flyer in the mail advertising 3 rooms for $119. I really just have two rooms that I feel need to be cleaned at the moment (plus I was going to have them do my stairs but we never made it far enough to get to that) but the mailer says the max size of each room is 250 sqft. Well each of my rooms is just over 300 sqft (about 640 sqft total between the two) so I called to ask if I could just have two rooms done for the price of the three and they told me "no" and that each room over 250 sqft counted as two rooms so I would have to pay the price for four rooms. This makes zero sense to me since it would certainly be easier to clean two rooms (especially since they are connected) of just over 600 sqft than it would be to clean three separate rooms of the same square footage. I don't appreciate the way they do business so I would definitely not recommend anyone call them. read more

I have tried to use zerorez twice as advertised on a local radio station for 129.00 for a 3 room special. Because I live in the north valley they wanted to charge 70.00 more. I called again, deciding I would pay the 70.00 more. I guess I made a mistake in saying that I have an area rug the size of my family room. I was then told they would charge more for an area rug. I have an area rug in my family room that every other company considers "carpet". It is a regular carpet fabric with a mat under it. It was placed in my home by a carpet company. Even though it is less square feet, Zerorez wanted to charge more per square foot because it is not "tacked down" and they don't consider it carpet. It cleans and is cleaned by every other carpet company that I have had and is priced out as a room carpet. Don't believe these guys...I was told that the radio ad states "other conditions may apply". More conditions apply than honest advertising. read more

Like previous comments mentioned, the 2 times the techs came to my house they came before the scheduled window. Just like their time is valuable, so is mine, so please come when you say. The office staff booking appts. is very friendly, but trying to get someone to help you and care when they don't do a good job is the difficult part. Management cared more about how busy they were the day of my call, then about my not getting what I paid for. The first time they came to clean my tile/grout it did not come clean at all, truly no difference. Two corners of my wall were heavily scratched up by the tech and 7 holes where made in the grout. The tech wants to say it didn't come clean because it had been "color sealed" even though we showed him the seal and it was not. He obviously knows very little about his industry. Regardless of the seal, they should be able to get it clean. The 2nd team that came out had to put in some elbow grease and use a lot of the prep chemical but 98% came clean. However, the previous holes are much bigger and there are lots more. Once again it's our fault because they claim we have "soft grout". My tile is only 3 years old and yet this company had to come out 2 times to get it clean. Zerorez is pricey so I seriously recommend you spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Had Zerorez out last week on the recommendation of I-Heart radio. This was the only reason because they wanted $247 for cleaning my carpets. Most other steam cleaners would do the same for under $150. They did show up on time and the tech was very nice. He did go over all the carpets multiple times. He spent about 1 1/2 hours at my house. It took about 8 hours to dry which is a little better than the standard steam cleaners. The problem I had was after the carpets dried they were "crisp" in many areas. Like they were real dirty. I am having problems even vacuuming the lines out of the carpet that were left from the cleaning! Never happened with the other steam cleaners on the same carpet. I think the Empowered Water is a bunch of over-rated hype to get more money for the cleaning. Didn't do the job here and would not recommend them to you! Find a reliable steam cleaner and save about half the cost. read more

We used zerorez in April. We were happy with how the carpets came out looking good and everything was great. I also paid for the carpet protectant for all the rooms. Well now it's 4 months later and there is a spill on the carpet. I was told to use water since it was protected and it would be fine. Nope that did not work, so I called and was told I was supposed to use the em-powered water that they sell, not the tap water. WHAT!!!! No one told me I had to use special water to remove a stain, so not only did I pay 25 bucks a room to have it protected, I now have to buy special water to remove a stain that should not even be there!!! That is not right!! I would not have paid the extra money to protect my carpets if I had known. Spot shot had worked great all these years and now I cannot get a stain out of my carpet. Zerorez sent me a 'survey'. I thought great, but no...they sent me ONE question -"Would I refer them?" I didn't really get to give a full feedback. That one question was very unfair. They only asked if I would recommend..no, I wouldn't. But that's not feedback. Here's my feedback. The technician - Allen - was so kind, polite, hard working and respectful. What a pleasure he was to have in my home. He worked hard for two full hours and he did a great job. I really appreciate that Zerorez hires such quality employees. He obviously was knowledgeable and hardworking and he took pride a job well done. So, Zerorex cleaned my carpets and did a nice job. But it was a nice job. The same as I have received from any other and we have had two other companies clean our carpets in the last 4 years. I didn't share that when I was asked by the technician, because frankly, I don't like company bashing by other companies which has been my experience. So anyway, yes, Zerorex cleaned them and they look fine. Still traffic areas that can't be repaired due to wear and a small pet stain that is barely visible, but here is why I said 'no'. The price was twice as much as one of the other companies. The single room fee only applies to small bedrooms not living rooms and masters which are all over the size limit, so the advertised price was really a gimmick. I don't like gimmicks. Tell me the price. Let me decide. It was fine, just not different. Save a buck...go with less expensive. read more

I contacted ZEROREZ, with a coupon, to have my very-soiled carpets cleaned, using 'empowered water.' The young man sent to do three rooms took less than one hour and the finished product did not look much better than before he started. He explained that the remaining very dark spots/stains were from years of wear, and were actually not dirt/stains. And he added a $14 environmental fee that I was not informed of prior to scheduling. I immediately contacted my previous guy - he came out the next day to do the job right! My carpets are now sparkling clean!(it took more than four hours, using chemicals and detergents) Upon contacting ZEROREZ, they replied that, if I had not already had the carpets redone, they would have 'honored their guarantee' and sent another person to redo the job(using the same empowered water), but would gladly give me a $43 credit towards a future service - but not a refund to my credit card! If you are ever thinking of using ZEROREZ to clean your carpets, instead - pour club soda water on your carpets, vacuum and let dry! read more
