The arrangements were flawless - everything was exactly as we had arranged. They texted me an update on their arrival and were barely even delayed. Jeff and Jeremy were nice and professional and the van is unique and cool. The moving itself was as efficient as I have ever seen. They clearly have a lot of experience and know exactly what they are doing. In my case they were racing against the end of the day (when my building's super was going to close the elevator), so they piled stuff on the top of the truck to make sure they could make it in one trip. They could have easily drawn out the process (and extending the time might have made them more money) but instead they finished earlier than expected. The price ended up being towards the low end of the range they had quoted me via email. Some shout outs to their colleagues, too: I emailed Mighty Van because Lightning Van suggested it. The guys told me they were glad I had used JuggleBox. I will recommend them to everyone I know and use them again myself!!

This time around I didn't price shop- I have had good experiences in the past with West Side Movers and wanted to stick with a company I have come to trust. Matt easily generated a quote based on a list of my items. COIs for my current and new building were generated within hours of booking my move. Vadim, Stevo, and the driver showed up on time just before 0800. Over the past two moves I have accumulated way too much crap...but they kept good humor throughout. Stevo masterfully disassembled and reassembled a horrific ikea bed like it was nothing! They handled my bulky sectional with ease. They got my monstrous 8 foot long credenza in the perfect spot. They took better care of my trash picked furniture than I do! Not a single item was damaged. We did end up going into overtime, but I think it was reasonable considering the sheer mass of boxes and other items...not to mention taking apart and putting back together the giant storage bed and a glass dining table. Vadim and Stevo made a stressful experience secure, efficient, and pleasant. I feel confident in my decision to stay with WestSide Movers (and Stevo!) for move # 3.

But they still came one hour early so I was able to do the move really fast. They also worked really fast and nothing was damaged. Even before moving day they were good at communicating which was a good sign. On the day of the move it only took 2 hours from start to finish. I did have elevators in both buildings though. I was happy with the service I gave them a good tip. Total moving costs from studio to another studio with very minimal furniture (bed frame, mattress, desk, chair, guitar) cost me $365. Really good prices for a Manhattan move. Other places were saying they'll charge me $500, even $700. I'm really happy with the service and would recommend it.

I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and was pretty worried about how this would go. They sent three guys who were punctual, professional and exceptionally hard working! One did most of the wrapping and packing while the other two brought the furniture and boxes down and did most of the loading on the truck. At some point while they packed and emptied my apartment I fell asleep on my sofa. The guys were nice enough to pack around me and move everything else until I woke up so they wouldn't disturb me! Really really thoughtful. I've lived in the city for years and have moved a handful of times and none of the previous movers compared to these. You can tell it wasn't their first rodeo. After a few items were wrapped, protected and loaded with care I relaxed and realized they'd do a fantastic job. They packaged things like the TV and larger plants so carefully that not even a single leaf was broken! Crazy but true! Yes, they charge for packaging some stuff in boxes but it was very fair and discussed ahead of time. I didn't have issues with the estimate being low and final price being higher as I read in other reviews. The estimate they gave me was pretty spot on. I was given a range depending on how many boxes they had to pack and it was on the lower end of the range. The only issue I had was that the truck got a ticket and the company called and asked to split it. I didn't like that because it's pretty standard that all delivery and loading trucks get ticketed in the city. I've never heard of the customer sharing that. They didn't press the issue tho so in the end it was fine. I gave them 5 stars because the service was hands down the best I've had and will definitely use them again! I highly recommend them-

We had a three man crew, and one man seemed to be very confused about where to go and what to do at all times. I have moved twice in the city before and both times have been way faster and efficient. My partner and I ended up helping unload the truck and boxes ourselves just to keep them moving along. I also had to supply them my own blanket to wrap a computer monitor in because they did not know how to pack it. In addition, I found that the extra costs were a bit much. We were charged a driving time of 30 mins to get to the first location even though the apartment was a 10 minute drive from the warehouse. We were also told we would get a $60 "box credit" which helped cover TV boxes on the day of the move, but then we got charged an additional $100 for other materials used (blankets, tape, wrap, etc.) Normally moving companies do not charge you for tape. They got our belongings from point A to point B, and nothing was majorly damaged. However, I am not sure we would use this moving company again.

I did think it was a bit strange that everything was done via email and there's really no other way of contacting them. That said, they were extremely responsive to email, which was fine. The movers themselves were personable and worked efficiently throughout the process, which I appreciated. Beyond that - there were issues. Firstly, the team arrived about 20 minutes late. I did appreciate the heads-up text, but on one of the most stressful days of your life, it's worth noting - especially as it was early in the morning. More importantly, I was under the impression that loading the truck was part of the service I hired Intense Movers to provide. Nope. Instead, that responsibility was completely handed off to my partner, who stayed with the truck while the movers brought items down for him to load. There was no discussion about this. In fact, it was initially suggested that I use only 2 movers but I requested another to be more efficient. I didn't realize that they assumed my partner was an unpaid 4th. Items with "this side up" stickers were completely disregarded. They brought everything down however they wanted to and handed them off to my partner however was most convenient for them. Also, a couple of guys who were not part of the moving team entered my apartment unannounced, to say hello to the movers. They did not clearly identify themselves, though it seemed like they may have been affiliated with the company. Regardless, having strangers invite themselves into my apartment during the move was pretty inappropriate. Lastly, when it came time for payment, you can only pay by cash or Zelle - which, to me, is sketchy AF. I had planned to send it via Zelle to their company account as instructed. However, the lead mover was insistent that I send the payment directly to him instead, saying he needed to pay his workers immediately. He was so insistent about it that it made me feel really uneasy. In the end, if I could do it all over - I definitely would have chosen someone else who was more professional.
