This is one of three locations in Fort Wayne. Food is great and consistent but this location is my least favorite just due to the layout. I've always heard about Zianos but we have never been. We had planned on one of our favorite Italian restaurants for our late Valentines dinner but it was not open. So... we decided to try Zianos. Located in the end of a strip mall, I was a little surprised at the appearance. While clean, it's not a romantic atmosphere at all. Not what we were hoping for but it wasn't too busy, so we at least had a quieter meal. Elizabeth was our server and she was very kind. We ordered breadsticks (at 99 cents per order), and some meatballs for an appetizer. The breadsticks were so good... we ordered the second round. Perfect. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The meatballs were also good. For our main dish, we both ordered the Chicken Marsala. We love a great chicken Marsala. This was different than any we have had. The sauce was thicker than what we are accustomed to having but the taste was pretty good. All in all, the food was good for a fair price. Our server was a little zealous at one point, removing a dish before we were finished, but she did give us two coupons.... For one order of free breadsticks. That should make up for it... Would we go back? Yeah. Does it compare to our favorite local Italian restaurant? Not really. If we were ever back in Fort Wayne again on a Monday when our restaurant is closed, that would be the day we would go. read more

We ordered delivery from Zianos after arriving pretty late to our VRBO (highly recommend Sycamore House!) on Friday evening. Zianos was quick, affordable, and had a few fun menu items like Shrimp Alfredo Pizza. We were completely happy with our order! Zianos was our new place to try when our favorite Italian was closed. The place is nicely decorated, but small. In an alcove of sorts by the restrooms, there was a conglomeration of unsightly items that belonged in a closet. Due to the small size of the place, one does not feel privacy but it is more like the feeling of fast food Italian. Maybe like a nice version of a Fazolis. To begin with, let's talk food , we began with the famous 99 cent breadsticks. Yeah, you're just gonna wanna go ahead and order a second order too. They are so flipping good. We got marinara, Alfredo, and cheese sauce to dip them in and they were delicious. I'd go for those alone. We also had the meatball appetizer and they were good! The meal we had was Chicken Marsala. It was unlike any Marsala that we are used to, BUT it was very tasty! I'd order again, for sure. Our server was polite and helpful. She grabbed our appetizer plate too soon instead of checking with us first as there was still bread to be eaten, but she apologized for that. She was clearly very motivated. My family and I love this place. Well known for the breadsticks (rightfully so) but we really enjoy the pizza, lasagna, and the fettuccini alfredo. We've been dozens of times and have never had a poor service. The dining area isn't large but we always seem to get a seat without having to wait very long. read more

So it's been a while since my last review of this casual dining restaurant. This place can get busy because of its low price point for family meals. Our recent trip was unfortunately not a five star experience. I didn't realize until my order came out that the waitress had given me the wrong entrée. I was wondering, when chicken piccata came with mushrooms and realized after tasting it that it was chicken marsala. It was literally swimming in the sauce with only a small amount of pasta as you can see from the picture. The pasta was cooked al dente which is a good however the sauce was greasy and heavy. The breadsticks that are $.99 are always a steal. Unfortunately, I felt that the waitress did not really pay particular attention to the table never refilling the water and she quickly came in and threw down the check while we were still eating. After 25 minutes, I called them and they picked up the phone and instantly put it on hold without answering. Never did answer. I called back again a few minutes later and same thing. We left. While I don't live in Fort Wayne anymore, I ALWAYS ask my family to get Ziano's at least once when I'm in town. I traveled back for an extended time this winter, and, as luck would have it, I've been able to eat Ziano's TWICE and I'm not ashamed by it. From my own experience, I've never had a bad or even unpleasant experience eating or picking up pizza from this location, and I am so, so grateful for those bread sticks (a whole order of 4-5 for 99¢...whhhhaaat?!). I noticed that some other reviewers spoke about the lack of COVID protocols, but that couldn't be further from my experience. Everyone was masked and there are multiple dispensers of hand sanitizer on the main cashiers station. So, from my two recent experiences, I have to say I continue to be pleased with their service. Now to the good stuff--the food. So I won't lie that my family and I usually have our go-to dishes. My parents love the "classic" pizza, which is always a solid as far as my experiences have gone. It is pepperoni, sausage, onions, and peppers (and of course lots of lovely cheese). We got this both times we picked up in the last month, and it was just as great as ever. We do sometimes have to heat up the pizza whe returning home, but we live a few minutes away and who doesn't like just out of the oven warm pizza? When eating in, I've never felt that pizza wasn't the perfect temperature, so this is just a comment for carry out (but in my experience, carry out and delivery are always in need of a little love when you get them home so this is normal). We also got a house salad - - which was fresh and delicious. Pretty normal ingredients with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sweet pepper, and green onion. Cannot recommend the house dressing enough--it's a take on Italian dressing and I always ask for extra so I have some for another salad at a later date. This trip is the first time I tried the salad, and it's a keeper on my go-to list. Last, but not least, the bread sticks. Everyone has included them in their reviews because they are a MUST HAVE. An order of bread sticks is 99¢, but the order is not for the faint of heart. The first time my family came here, we figured an order was 2 since it was do cheap - - we were wrong. Each order comes with 4-5 bread sticks WHICH ARE HUGE. I won't lie that we order an extra order to have more bread sticks later in the week. My mom loves the Alfredo dipping sauce, while I am very pro cheese sauce. Both are great, and I'm sure their red sauces are great, too, for dipping. I don't know if you can go wrong. So happy that Ziano's has a location on our side of town--while Fort Wayne has numerous pizza places, this is my favorite. Service is always great, and the dine-in atmosphere is great (though I can't judge this during COVID because I've only done take out). This is my all time favorite! You can't find better bread sticks anywhere. Don't know what the secret trick is, but I can't resist them. All the entrees are great, too. I usually get the lasagna but today I had the daily special of Marsala chicken. One of the family owners, Jimmy, is friendly and will sit and talk with you when he has time! Not only is the food delicious at Zianos, but I would honestly come here even if it were for the breadsticks alone! By far the best Italian restaurant in Fort Wayne!! Make sure you order any pasta with Romano sauce with the perfect Alfredo/ marinara flavor. The space inside is definitely a bit tight. Absolutely horrible! Came in tonight for my daughter's birthday. we made a reservation in advance of course as well. When we show up, they act surprised that we are there and the hostess has an instant attitude. She walked in the back and mouthed something about our party and comes back out and asks us to go out to our cars for ten minutes so they can set us up. It's freezing out, we have babies with us and 13 people, but ok we do so. Come back in when asked and they had proceeded to sit everyone who came in after us and our table still was not ready. Finally we get our table and no one even greets us for nearly 30 minutes. Had to ask someone if he was our server. Finally order and get our food. The bill comes and they added someone else's meal to my bill. Somehow couldn't figure out how to take it off and told me they added a $10 discount. The bill was $79 before this all starts and be comes back with my card charged for $75. I asked how a $10 discount count be added and only $5 taken off? He didn't know he claims. Then the $5 that was taken off my bill was added to another persons in our party's bill. They kept the itemized receipt in the back and charged him more! seriously!? Just crazy that this is the type of "service" we get when trying to bring good business to your establishment. read more

This is awesome! I was so happy to find this place. It is great Italian food without the pretense and high prices of "fine" dining. Lexus was a delightful and attentive server. The Baked Chicken Mozzarella dinner was excellent great taste and the Breadsticks brushed with garlic butter and Romano Cheese with cheese were absolutely delicious. Five large, thick fluffy breadsticks. This order cost just under $20 with and a voluntary 35% tip added.the overall ambiance is great as well. Sure the dinner sized spaghetti is $10, but it's on the skimpy Son. Get it carry out to go and you'll get half a container filled to the skimpy Son. This is where I go when I have lasagna cravings, or fettuccine alfredo cravings. Zianos sauces are rich and flavorful. The marinara has a nice kick to it and lots of oregano. No free breadsticks to start, which is disappointing, but they're free if you have a coupon from a previous visit (they give these out to all guests). Otherwise 99 cents isn't bad. It's normal sweet fluffy breadsticks, good, but I prefer to save room for dessert. The garlic bread slice that comes with the meals is very crunchy like toast; if you want soft bread then get the sticks. I pass on the house salad, just a basic iceberg style, but no biggie since the pasta is the real star here. Dessert options include DeBrand chocolate truffles (great local chocolate company) and baked cookies covered in ice cream and whipped cream. The cookies are a challenge to eat, as they come in dishes straight from the oven, but with a mountain of whipped cream to enjoy while they cool down this is still my dessert of choice. There are some nice wine options, too. Atmosphere: Like a nice upscale restaurant but with sheets of white paper over the dark tablecloths, so it's family-friendly and also a nice place for date night. We went to Ziano's on my Birthday, Wednesday June 22nd. The location is in a strip mall, cute and clean. We were seated right away, then waited on by a bubbly server, that knew the menu very well and recommended some fresh baked YummY cheese bread. There's a nice choice of protein options of non-pasta dinners on the menu too, nice if you shouldn't have pasta. My favorites are both of the Tilapia choices, both served with pasta.
