Had the best wine tasting at Zichichi Family Vineyard. We had a large group of enthusiastic ladies and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Steve and family were so gracious and I loved the barrel tasting. The view from the back deck was gorgeous too! Highly recommend!!

great stories, nice and quiet. met the winemaker and owner. service was great. wine was very very good.

Zichichi Family Vineyards located near city center of Healdsburg, CA. I have been a huge fan since 2005. In the early years their grapes were sold to several wineries which have well know brands. Dr. Steve Zichichi built his winery in 2006 and hired world class winemakers to start the journey of building a world class brand "Zichichi Family Vineyards". His line-up of wines can be found https://zichichifamilyvineyard.com/zichichi-wines Take time to make a reservation for a private wine tasting while in the region. I can tell you their customer service is as AWSOME as their wine.

Great tasting. Great barrel tasting. Host was a family member. Wine was just average. Not much there sad to say. Tasting room was spartan and unappealing. Might be the saddest place we have been to. This tour could be good, but you need better wine and tasting room. They are friendly though.

Zichichi Zins - both are sooo smooth!

We recently dined at Spirit Bar and had hoped to start with a glass of Zichichi Zin. Sadly it wasn't on the menu and sadly we drank through our last case at home. But as fate would have it, Steve Zichichi called the very next day asking if we needed wine. Why yes, yes we did! Earlier this year we purchased two versions of the 2018 Zins. This time we bought a few bottles each of the 2019 Estate Zin and of the 2019 Estate Zin North Block. Both are smooth and delicious. The Zichichis know their Zin! And, Steve himself delivered them directly to us! We still need to get to the winery. Now would be a perfect t time to enjoy the beautiful vineyards in their colorful autumn glory. If you like Zins I hope you get there soon too!

Beautiful spot for a picnic overlooking the Dry Creek region.

The only reason I have elected to give 4 stars, rather than 5 stars, is because the winery doesn't have wine for purchase. The winery only sells wine futures. You pay now (Summer 2015) and pickup next Spring 2016! While that may mean that they have phenomenonal wines, it still isn't the most practical setup. And, for a new customer, I have no way of knowing what the wine will taste like since they only offer tastings from the barrel with wine that hasn't fully matured. Other than the above, I have nothing bad to say about this winery. 1. Fair tasting fee amount ($10). 2. Tasting involves a fun experience (barrel tasting). 3. Friendly staff members. 4. Delicious wine. 5. Decently priced (red) wines....especially for wine club members. 6. Beautiful property.

One of the reasons that I recommend visiting Healdsburg over Napa is the laid back, friendly nature of the wineries. Zichichi is no exception. Not only did we taste a number of wines in the tasting room but we were also led back into the barrel room to taste wine straight from the barrel (an interesting experience, I highly suggest you try it!) I didn't love the wine that we tried in the tasting room but did enjoy some from the barrel and ordered a couple of bottles that will be ready in a year. I guess that'll give me an excuse to return to Healdsburg!

Absolutely stunning property in Dry Creek. The patio was absolutely stunning and I could sit out there all day drinking the fine wines produced here. Our wine educator was Amanda and she was friendly, professional, and let us know a lot about Zichichi and the way they make wine. We loved everything we tasted and will definitely take friends and family by to check out this gorgeous family owned winery!

We chose to drop in Marine Layer Wines. The tasting room is located in a very nice area in beautiful downtown Healdsburg across Healdsburg square. The vibe was inviting and family friendly. There was a cozy fireplace in the front as well. We ordered a glass of Lyra Pinot Noir and a glass of Aries Chardonnay. My Pinot Noir was smooth while the wifey's Chardonnay was crisp and refreshing. The wine was great quality. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Marine Layer Wines. The staff was nice and helpful. I made reservations for two adults and two young teenagers on a Tuesday morning and were the first guests to arrive that day. We were greeted with a welcome glass and were told they were setting up our table. That gave us enough time to do a couple of selfies and within minutes, we were escorted inside. Season Leef was our host/wine ambassador that morning and we loved her energy, attention to detail and how she treated us like we were members of the MacRostie Winery/family. She was more about understanding our palettes and pouring us what we gravitated towards to showcase the vast portfolio Heidi (winemaker) has been able to produce. Usually not a fan of Chardonnays but it was a neat experience tasting different variables and how each one is slightly different. We know we like Pinot Noirs so when we started diving into the reds, thats when we started figuring out what we liked. Ended up purchasing a bottle of their 2022 Nightwing Vineyard 828 Clone Pinot Noir :chefkiss: My two young teens are used to being at wineries with us so they're pretty good about keeping themselves occupied on their own (even with out devices). But, I really appreciated that Season brought over some paper and a pack of markers for them since they both still like to draw. Plus, we had a couple of good sessions of tic tac toe while we sipped and took our time. We had a great experience here thanks to Season! Seeing that they're dog friendly, we'll bring our 4 legged family member next time.

The winery fit right in and we loved the small location with the view of the vineyards. We booked a reservation for the Root 101 Wine & Food Pairing Experience. I've had cheese and cracker experiences in wine tasting before, but this experience was a stand out with their perfectly curated arrangements of small bites that paired so well with the wines we were presented. Having the food pairing with the wines really felt like it brought out an elevated level of wine tasting because most wine is enjoyed with food when you take it home. The team really worked hard to make sure this tasting was unique and we found each bite to hold its own experience. I've been to Walt Wines in Napa but this location was worth the drive and the experience! Peter hosted us and was very knowledgeable about the wines and the food - having a passion for both. We were very grateful to be paired with Peter for our tasting, he made it a great experience! I would highly recommend taking advantage of the food pairing experience as it helps the wines stand out and just offers something different to a typical wine tasting.

We did make an appointment and we arrived on time, greeted as soon as we walked in, and quickly set up for our tastings with Michelle...who was a fantastic host! Today we just did a regular tasting which included the newest version of their Love wine. A passion project for them with 100% of the wine cost going to benefit up and coming female artists. Another fun thing to note is each year they grant an artist the privilege of designing the label for the Love bottle. We started with the Love wine and then moved onto the Rosé, we thought both of these were excellent and ended up ordering a case of them so we can enjoy them yet again!
