I knew I was going to like this place right away, when I heard of this place's existence. I love to find Polish places to patronize for my Polish mother when she comes to visit me; unfortunately, the Austin area has a dearth of Polish places. I feared this place was going to be too far away, but nope not too bad. This place is authentic; the guy who runs it has lived in Poland. In addition to the hot meal items, they sell Polish non-perishable foods. They offer traditional Polish cuisine as well as things like french fries, so you get the best of both worlds here. They don't leave Pierogies or fries sitting under heat lamps all day; they make them fresh and piping hot! I don't remember the last time I ate Pierogies; maybe never, so I thank this establishment for providing that new experience. The fries rocked too! Even the ketchup rocked! My Polish mother approves too! She says we should come back! read more

This place is a hidden gem. I stopped by because I love different types of sausage and this place doesn't disappoint. I did not try any of the hot food there but it is on my list to do. I grabbed 4 regular sausages and 4 cheddar sausages to take home. I also grabbed a jar of home dill pickles and a large jar of pickled beets. Both were really good. While in the store I had a good chat about sausage making with the owner and I highly recommend any of the homemade items they have here. I will be back. read more

Finally made it out and it's worth the drive from Georgetown. Their kielbasa is the best you'll find around. If all you've had is store bought Polish sausage, you have to go here. They have a variety of snacks, candy, and other dry goods too. Oh, and you have to get some pierogis...so good! They have a hot menu too but I didn't explore. Discovered Ziggy's on YELP. It was had to locate because they only have a couple of small black and white signs. I'm sure it is because of some Leander Code Enforcement rules. Ziggy's is next to Great Value Storage and Dragon-Rock Martial Arts. And under the big YELLOW billboard advertising Service King. All the samples were great. They make so amazing Kielbasa's. My favorite was the Serrano. Nice flavor with just a touch of heat. I had the Minimus. The Kielbasa had the perfect snap to the casing . Again, great flavor. Only thing that could have made it better would be to butter and toast the bun. I'll ask for that on my next visit. Definitely on my 'Keepers List'. read more

We stopped by for lunch and we will definitely be back! In fact, we almost went back the same day for an early dinner, it was that good! We had the Potato & Cheddar and the Saurkraut & Mushroom pierogis with a side of Grilled Kielbassa and then the Strawberry pierogis for dessert. While we waited for them (it didn't take long) the owner gave us some samples of the other sausages (all made fresh) and the smoked cheese (smoked there). We also browsed around the small store and bought a few things. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. I've been looking forward to getting droid from Ziggy's. When I saw they had extended their hours during COVID to better serve the public we had to make it happen. I grew up with a German Grandfather and Polish Grandmother so we loved kielbasa, pierogies and dill pickles. Eating these tonight were like a wonderful trip down memory lane. Actually it was so good I had to message my brother sister and cousins and tell them about it. Didn't feel right having dinner like them without sharing it with the family like we used to! The Cheddar Kielbasa was delicious. Warmed it up when I got home and it was perfect. I love the smoked/dry sausage taste. Also had some meat sticks but they didn't even last the drive home! The dill pickles were in a Ball Mason Jar just like Grandma would make them and they tasted great. Loved looking in the jar to see the chunks of garlic, dill and mustard seeds. Real food with real ingredients all made right there in the store. Saved the best for last the pierogies are deep fried. I haven't had them like this before but they were GREATNESS! The tray of sour cream was generous and a perfect fit to accent the taste of the pierogies. Service was wonderful, store was exceptionally clean and well organized. We are so lucky to have Ziggy's right in our backyard. Everything is made fresh, and the food is as authentic as it gets. The pierogi's tasted just like my grandmothers, as does the homemade applesauce. There's so much to offer at this one location you have to stop in to experience it for yourself or check out their online marketplace. Randomly found this place. I really wanted to give this place one star but its pretty clean, the front desk employee* customer service is overkill which can be annoying at times. The Food is way too bland and flavorless. Definitely needs a revamp on the menu. i sampled a couple things and had that gut feeling it wasn't going to be great but with this place being a local business i decided to go through with it. Definitely not coming back tho. Reply for owner- i wouldn't call it excellent customer service is more like the retail Employees who constantly ask if you need help every two minutes it gets annoying but thanks for the "corporate" reply. read more

Missing the old Polish butchers and delis from the NE, a Google search found Ziggy's. Mind you, I love TX BBQ and good Tex-Mex, but my origins still crave having a good Polish butcher/deli available. Stopped by this weekend, wondering if a true Wigilia could be possible, and was not disappointed. The pasztet was delicious; the pierogies (traditional sauerkraut and mushrooms) delish; and the kielbasa pretty good as well. My wife has Polish roots so when I discovered Ziggy's, it was a no brainer. We literally drove 90 minutes there today just to try it out and have lunch. First of all, let the owner know if you are a newbie, that you're a newbie. He was great about explaining their products and gave us a delicious sample. My wife ordered the regular Kielbasa with onions and I ordered the bratwurst with krout. We also ordered the perogies and the potato pancakes. The sausages were meaty, tasty and not too salty. Just perfection. The perogies were crispy goodness. The potato pancakes were beyond delicious. The food and service was wonderful. It felt good eating sausages without fillers...I mean, you could taste the freshness. We went back in and picked up some sausages to take home. I did not regret the drive there. This place rocks. The sausages are all made in house and are delicious! We had 4 different one and all were the best versions I've ever had. The kielbasa stands out only because it was the first note I had. Once I finished them all it was hard to decide which was best. They also have a killer fermented selection. The sauerkraut was phenomenal as were the beats. The Danish cheese was gooey and Smokey. Too die for! The owners are extremely knowledgeable about their products and the process to make them. So glad I found this place! I absolutely LOVED the potato pancake with apple sauce. Reminded me of the German potato pancakes my mom made me when I was little! The cucumber salad wasn't amazing but was definitely good. The Squealer Kielbasa was a perfect mix of salty and sweet. The combo of the grilled peppers on top of the meat with a potato pancake and applesauce on the bun gave it a unique taste. My wife had a hankering for perogies ever since we went to NYC and didn't have time to go to Veselka so I came to Leander to hit up Ziggy's. I got 2 bags of frozen perogies and 2 sausages to make at home. Perogies went into the air fryer and sausages in the cast iron skillet. I preferred the jalapeño sausage and would do the perogies in a pan next time cause we like them more buttery but otherwise quite tasty. Finally! I've been waiting for this place to open! Organic, locally-sourced kielbasa in a variety of flavors! My favorite is Serrano (perfect amount of kick) followed by the Original. We chowed down on Polish deliciousness including brat burgers, patty burgers, pierogies, potato pancakes and packis (donuts). I love meat. I first had a pork burger in Iowa and fell in love. Pork, the other white meat! Way more delicious than chicken and way better for your health! Chowing down on a pork patty has me feeling lots better than a beef burger. The owners are very conscientious bout how they run their business and prepare their food. Definitely adding this to the dinner rotation! When I saw there was a place opened that sold perogies I so wanted to check this place out! Went here earlier today with my mom. We had ordered potato and onion perogies, potato, cheddar and bacon perogies, and mushroom sauerkraut perogies. My mom's favorite was the mushroom sauerkrout ones. The ones I tried were very well seasoned and very tasty. I had to order some frozen ones to go! They also sell kielbasa and decided to bring home the cheddar ones! This is a very nice place, all homemade and food all very flavorful! Glad it's nearby to where I live! Will have to stop by again real soon to try out more! read more
