Zimbrick Acura was one of six dealerships we visited when looking for a new car at the end of 2024 and we were really impressed by our experience here, especially compared to the other places we visited. We were able to check out the various cars on the floor without being hounded or bombarded by questions until we were ready to engage with a salesperson. While other places were clearly trying to sell us on their cars, only asking as much as needed for a potential sale and showing off their entire lineup, Acura's Joseph Gapinski got to know us, actually listening to what we wanted and needed. He was deliberate with where he directed our attention, ensuring his recommendations aligned with what we were looking for and taking care to mention features that would be especially applicable to us. He was understanding when we mentioned wanting to visit more places to get a feel for what's out there, and he was there for us when we returned to reassess. Throughout our visits, Joe was patient, thoughtful, and attentive--never pushy, and ever helpful. When it was freezing outside, he brought the cars we were interested in indoors so we could comfortably review them without ever facing the wind. He often picked up on our potential concerns and addressed them before we even got a chance to voice them, like when he noticed that the liftgate for a trunk was too high for me to comfortably reach (yes, I'm vertically challenged) and he demonstrated how it could be adjusted lest I thought it was just going to be an inconvenience to tolerate. When it came time to discuss numbers, he was transparent about the process and helped us navigate the options, sorting through the pros and cons, to determine the best route for us. Financing was stress-free and so much easier than expected, nothing like our previous experiences and all the horror stories out there. Our finance person was James and he was similarly affable and transparent, and just as easy to work with. He explained the papers and potential add-ons in layman's terms, made everything super easy to understand, and gave us the space to determine what made sense for us without any pressure or underhanded tactics. We ended up buying a new car here without any of the usual headaches typically associated with car shopping, and it's all thanks to Zimbrick Acura and Joe! We really appreciate Zimbrick Acura's authentic atmosphere and how Joe's considerate, customer-centric approach made each visit a delight; his attention to detail and genuine desire to connect with his customers shows just how much he (and by extension, Zimbrick Acura) cares. "The Best (Non-) Car Buying Experience I Have Ever Had." I was sitting in my La-Z-Boy recliner on a Saturday evening when I came to the conclusion that I was going to look for a "new" car. I immediately began my research that weekend and started my search on the following Monday by visiting another luxury car dealership in the Madison area. Unfortunately, it was a less-than-satisfying experience. They were unwilling to come down one dime on the asking price. I was told that they were in possession of the car for only a week. OK, your decision! I'll take my money elsewhere, and I did. Their offer for my trade-in was average. My brother, who accompanied me, suggested we check out Acuras (at Zimbrick Acura), as he and my sister-in-law are extremely satisfied with their RDX (purchased at Acura of Madison) From the moment we walked in Zimbrick, I was immediately impressed with the way we were treated. Joe Gapinski, who met us at the door, referred us to salesperson Roy Fennman because he said that Roy would have more knowledge about the kind of vehicle that I was looking for. I was somewhat disappointed because Joe was the type of person I wanted to work with (i.e., low-key and up-front). Roy did not disappoint. He has been selling cars for years, and he knows what he is talking about. He was genuine, honest, and friendly. My original intent was to purchase a used car; however, Roy showed me a new 2024 2.0L TLX Tech that I, of course, immediately fell in love with. It was not a "bait and switch." Roy gave me his price on the vehicle which included a $2,000.00 end-of-year reduction. I countered his offer. Roy said that he would need to consult with Glenn Beckwith (New Car Sales Manager). This was not a "Let me talk to my manager" waste of my time but a real presentation of my offer to Glenn. I sat down with Glenn and made my case regarding the reasoning behind my offer. He immediately responded with a "yes," and we shook hands. No stare downs, no games; just two people making what I believe is the best kind of deal--one where both parties leave with a good feeling. I asked Glenn to make his offer good until the next day until 5:00 pm so that I could look at two pre-owned vehicles in Illinois that I had previously inquired about prior to coming to Zimbrick. Glenn said he understood, prepared my request in writing, and signed it. Long story short: The next day I purchased a 2022 with 15,500 miles in Illinois. Again, remember that my original intent was to buy a used car. If you haven't looked at Acuras, I encourage you to do so. The TLX I looked at was a beautiful and was a smooth ride. And, If you are looking for an excellent car-buying experience, I also encourage you to visit Zimbrick Acura and meet Roy and Glenn. They're the "real deal." read more

I was headed to Madison on business and had car trouble on the highway as I arrived. I brought my car to Zimbrick Acura the next morning for diagnosis -- the service was phenomenal. They got me in right away and gave me a loaner vehicle so I could get on with my day ... then called me later to say that the parts I needed were backordered, but had a temporary solution so I could get back home. This is going to sound very weird: I actually look forward to bringing my Acura in for service here. There. I said it. Why? They are extremely efficient, and they manage to make me feel like a rockstar every time I go in. Now, I love my little Acura--but having a fling with one of the brand spanking new, sporty little numbers they provide as loaners makes the whole experience feel adventurous and decadent. I had a wonderful experience regarding requesting an allocation, ordering and delivery of my new NSX My sales person Corey Reilly worked hard to keep me informed, to address my questions and to be the kind of enthusiastic, well prepared NSX Specialist that Acura is looking for. He went out of his way to pick me up from work to simplify delivery, coordinated seamlessly with his excellent colleague James in Finance and the highly engages Sales Manager Dave. My radio and navigation system went out on my Acura. I took it in to Zimbrick who immediately determined that a small fuse had blown. I was glad it was only a fuse until I pick up the car and was charged $100 for replacing a two dollar fuse. I complained but got nowhere. They have since lost several thousand dollars of my service business to other repair shops. read more

The sales people in this place are the rudest I have ever seen! I walked in there and I was ready to purchase a RDX after doing research online; all I needed was a test drive to make my decision. First I was waiting for 30min so somebody would help me, and then when they did they treated me very badly and were hesitant to let me do a test drive. Then once we finally went to test the car, the sales man that was helping me made a comment like - this car was fully redesigned and Acura wants to target young and successful people - as if we weren't successful enough or good enough to buy the car. EXCUSE ME? So because I look young you assume I don't have enough to buy the car? I was very offended and disgusted, since I was very interested in that car. In the end I went to another zimbrick in town and purchased another car. On fish hatchery road they treated me very well, and aided me with all my needs. I am very offended and was never mistreated in such way in my entire life. read more

Zimbrick Acura is dirty, just like every other Zimbrick in town. They over-quote and refuse to even answer simple questions. It is $125 just to walk in the door. Acura of Brookfield starts at $74. Hmm. read more

100% satisfied I had been researching the Acura MDX for about 60 days online when I decided it was time to visit a few dealerships. Wisconsin only has 3: Bergstrom in Neenah, Acura of Brookfield, and Zimbrick in Middleton. I live in Wisconsin Rapids, so they were all a trip for me, but I travel for work so it's not inconvenient to visit any of them. After visiting all three, the reception and assistance I received from Dave Kreuser and his sales staff at Zimbrick was unmatched. They were more knowledgeable about the MDX than I was (which is saying something, considering I knew more about it than the sales people at brookfield and bergstrom). They also knew how it compared to the BMW X5, the Infinity QX60, and the Lexus RX which are its main competitors. After I narrowed it down to Zimbrick, I then began corresponding with Dave via email and phone. This was late fall, and I did not want to purchase the vehicle until mid-April. While other sales people became dismissive upon learning my time horizon, the staff at Zimbrick did not. Dave worked very hard at getting me a fair trade in value for my Subaru. In fact, in his original valuation I had accidentally ommited that it was manual transmission (which lowers the value, KBB agrees), and he still honored his original valuation after discovering this. He also gave me immediate discounts on the MDX without any game playing. He told me right upfront would he could do for discounts - and that was it. I appreciate that, rather than trying to haggle on the day of the sale. My wife and I had a monthly payment threshold that we would not cross, and Dave was very accomodating with preparing numerous illustrations to show us how we could reach our desired payment. After we narrowed down our color choice, they were able to locate the exact trim we were seeking (tech + entertainment, not a common trim), and happened to have one on the lot. At that point, 4 months after our original meeting, we purchased the car from Dave, and will be picking it up mid April. Being is sales myself, I am very impressed with Dave's follow up and tenacity to earn my business. I am not an easy customer, and he knew right away that I wouldn't be buying any time soon. He treated me with respect and conducted himself with integrity throughout the process. In conclusion, I am very excited to take delivery of my Acura, and would highly recommend Dave and his sales staff at Zimbrick Acura to anyone interested in the Acura product. -Jeff read more

I have been taking my RSX to Zimbrick Acura for years and have always had excellent service! They have always taken the extra time to explain things to me about my car, so that I knew what was being done was necessary. I recently took my car to get new tires at a different garage and that was a big mistake! All they did was give me the run around and cause me to wait. In the process, Dan at Zimbrick, was helping me with the front end alignment on my car and he called the other garage and explained to them what Zimbrick had done to correct the front end alignment, so that they could realize they were making the mistake! Because of Dan's assistance the other garage had to replace my tires due to there error! I will always go to Dan and Zimbrick in the future. They have helped me make a frustrating experience perfect! Zimbrick Acura will say anything to get a sale. We were told we could stop by anytime we are in the area for a free car wash. All was good for years until this morning. Shane Maertz is a total JERK. He did not want to assist us and was very rude! Even a woman next to me in the waiting area thought Maertz was rude and very unprofessional. When we asked for the name of the general manager because we wanted to complain, Maertz said go ahead I have worked here 25 years and the GM is my friend. This is the second incident I have had with MAERTZ. The first incident occurred when he lied about breaking the antennae on my MDX. This guy should not be in customer service. Except for dealing with this jerk we have had good luck with Zimbrick. Will definitely not buy from Zimbrick again. There is another Acura dealer in Appleton, WI that will be getting our business! read more

On 12/26/11 our 2008 Acura TL broke down in the Wisconsin Dells. We had just purchased it earlier that year. It was a certified used vehicle so it was still under warranty. We called Acura Roadside Assistance and they sent out a tow truck that jumped us so that we could drive to the nearest dealer to have the car looked at and fixed. The closest Acura dealer was Zimbrick of Middleton and we dealt with Shane (the manager) in the service department. They replaced the battery in our car and then informed us that our car now had a check engine light on. We asked if they could pull the codes and tell us what was wrong or even clear them and see if they came back. He told us that we would have to take the car in its current condition with the light on because he said, "It's the day after Christmas and I just don't have the manpower to deal with it.". My Husband reiterated to Shane that he please just pull the codes so that we have an idea of what we were dealing with, Shane refused. We were worried about taking the car as we were traveling from Minneapolis to Chicago and it already broke down on us once. Plus, with the delay of the battery ordeal we'd be getting into Chicago during rush hour. We decided to cancel our hotel reservation that we had for that night in Chicago and called Acura of Brookfield. They said they could get us in first thing the next morning to scan it and see why there was a check engine light on. So we spent the night in Brookfield and that dealer took great care of us! They even reserved a rental car in case it was needed. I just wish that's who we would've went to first. Oh, and I forgot to mention earlier...Zimbrick of Middleton put a three inch black scuff on the drivers side rear quarter panel of our white car while it was in the shop. When we noticed it and went in to ask Shane to take a look at it he became extremely short with us and was down right rude. He implied to us that it was there from before and it clearly was not. His level of customer service was appalling. read more
