BE AWARE WITH AUTO SHOP SCAM! I just want to let you guys know the very frustrating experience with INTEGRITY AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE in Monona I had last week. I went to this shop because the VW dealership next appointment is for September and this shop will take it right away. I told the attendant that my VW Passat TDI has a CEL (Check Engine Light) on, and I checked with a professional scanner tool and had active code P040C00, About EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) temperature sensor circuit low. I asked if the work on diesel engines, he say "yes". Next day I received his phone call with the diagnostics and confirmed what I told him. The estimated repairs will include replace -EGR cooler, -EGR valve and -EGR temperature sensor, total estimated $2,400. I asked why he want to replace the EGR cooler if I don't have any coolant consumption? and Why the EGR valve if I don't have any code about it? I just approved to replace the EGR temp sensor, for $300 parts and labor. plus $120 for diagnostics. And had to wait for two days for sensor. When done, I came to pick up my car and canceled $470 with my credit card. Next day, as soon I got in the interstate the CEL was on again. I scanned again and has the same fault code. I opened the hood and checked if there was any lack of connection and found that still has the old rusty/dirty sensor on. I took a picture of it and went back to the shop. I politely say I want my money back, because I have same code, same problem, he was about to make excuses about the fault code, then I confront him with the evidence of the picture of the old sensor. He went ballistic and kick me out of shop because he has "zero tolerance when someone call him liar". Guess what, I have zero tolerance with the SCAMMERS and lack of INTEGRITY. read more

Really happy with the service here. I discovered them through Groupon, which had a great deal on an oil change. When I called it was easy to get an appointment (I do wish they had later hours on weekdays), and the morning I arrived they were ready to begin work right on time. The oil change was finished quickly, and I really appreciated that they didn't try to upsell me a lot of extra services like some places do. Check out was quick and easy and the staff person (he seemed to be the only one there) was friendly and professional. The waiting room is nothing special, but it's clean and comfortable. I bought a groupon for an oil change for $13. This is super cheap! Was able to get an early morning appointment with less than a week's notice. Glad I didn't have to wait forever as I really needed this oil change. I was in and out of the shop in about 55 minutes, which was only a little longer than they'd estimated so no real complaints. I've been going here for years. Matt is very nice, knowledgeable and easy to work with. They do their best to fit you in at a convenient time, even when they're very busy. Can be a bit spendy at times but other times their prices knock the socks off of the competition. Service is fantastic! They were speedy, were able to work with my timeline, and provided a quote which someone who isn't education in auto mechanics to understand! My one very very slight negative is their loaner car is not one I would want to use again. It's a 1990's Grand AM, window on the front passenger side gets stuck down, and it isn't car seat friendly - no anchors. But to recap - service is great! read more

I took one of my trucks in because of it burning excess oil. Matt told me that it would be the intake gaskets and to bring it in. I did and after being told that I also needed a Tie rod, ball joint. thermostat, Gasket, heater core, alternator, (there are other parts that I approved of as well) Also when removing the dash they broke a integral part of the glove box and I had to bring the truck back to have them"fix it' I was expecting them to replace whatever they needed to do to make it like it was when I brought the truck in...NOPE... What I received was a wire attached to one side of the glove box so the glove box when opened wouldn't spill out everything onto the floor....Of course this was a crap fix and soon broke...I had to once again bring the truck back to have then attach yet another wire jury rig fix.... The biggest problem is however that I brought in my truck to reduce the oil consumption, and when Matt told me that it was the intake manifold gaskets I trusted his professional opinion. I picked it up my wife drove it to work and back and ALL of the oil was gone... I brought the truck in yet again and Matt said" well I guess its not the manifold intakes huh": Now I don't have money to throw down a hole... Matt said he would run some kind of conditioner through the system.... It didn't work and after spending $3,3746.81 on this invoice alone(I have spent well over 13,000.00 to date with this company...And the truck that I brought in now uses TWICE THE AMOUNT OF OIL NOW THAN BEFORE I BROUGHT IT IN!!!! I talked to Matt yet again 2 weeks ago and he said he would have a tow truck out to my place to pick up the truck to bring it back to his shop.....IT NEVER CAME!!! I left a message the next day for Matt to contact me by the end of business that day.... No call ever came...IM DONE....Today I am filing a complaint with the B.B.B. as well as consumer protection.... read more

They did a 27 point check and topped off what was included in the oil change without trying to "up-sell" me anything. Very friendly service personnel. I had purchased a groupon for an air conditioning service. I arrived early and they got my vehicle in right away. Turned out that I had more problems than just needing refrigerant. Everything that was done was explained to me satisfactorily as well as the diagnosis of what further problems I had in my A/C system.I set up another appointment to address those issues. read more

We heard about them through a Groupon and were very pleased. It was a no frills looking place but the work was really good. It was great I was running a late. I had just got done with work they were super nice and still got my car right in. I thought it was cool to watch the oil change be done on my car. I am by no means a car savvy person I know where my gas goes in and where to put windshield washer fluid so I am always a little worried that I might get take an advantage of. But that was 100% not the case here. I was told a couple of things that could use some attention but I was not made to feel like if I didn't get my tires rotated right now my car would break before I got home. I will definitely take the drive across town for service work to be done here. All thanks to Groupon. read more

I have found Matt to be very respectful and honest in my dealings with him. They do quick and quality work. The only slightly negative thing I could say is it is something hard to get ahold of him while he is working on cars and getting an update on the status of the vehicle. I am very pleased with the work that Matt did and I really appreciate that it's a local business. I initially got an oil change here, where he did a thorough inspection of my car and told me things that needed attention in the future. He NEVER pressured me to get something done right away (or make me feel like he was holding my car hostage, like some other places do when they tell you that EVERYTHING is wrong with your car RIGHT NOW!). He sent me a quote via email for the work that he recommended. I then ended up getting that significant work done about 2 weeks later - new front brakes and a transmission flush. I'm used to pretty quick communication in my daily life, so I found myself feeling like communication was a bit delayed, but since it appears it's a one-man shop, I can understand that the email responses were not same day. However, that would be the only reason that I rate this a 4/5 instead of 5/5. read more

Was quoted $738 to fix my AC, when I questioned the seemingly high quote they were very rude. I brought my Jetta to an high end European car mechanic who quoted me $320 for the same job. When I showed him the Integrity Auto quote, he said: "WOW, what a ripoff. Is this a solid gold part or titanium? The fan controller is $199 from the dealer." I had a very bad experience here, would not go back and would not recommend it to anyone else. read more

Matt was great to work with. It is a little difficult to get a hold of him to make appointments as he is very busy throughout the day, but when he does answer he can usually get you an appointment within the week. He is very understanding of budgetary constraints and explains each issue he believes needs attention. I never felt like he was trying to sell me services I didn't need. He was always very friendly as well. I will absolutely be going back for all my auto maintenance needs. read more
