Staff not trained on allergies. That's incredibly dangerous as they have nut products. My husband is deathly allergic to nuts and I'm allergic to berries. They have a great range of flavors -- I'd say around 25 or so -- with everything from classics such as Rocky Road to more specialty flavors like Licorice and Banana Pudding. Such a fun little ice cream shop! I really like that you can see where they make the cones, it's a fun experience for the kids! All the ice cream is homemade and super delicious! I personally had the chocolate peanut butter- it was OMG! So so good! Not to crazy sweet! They even have a fun sign you can take a photo in front of! Stumbled on Zinger's after literally parking in front of it during a trip down to Cannon Beach. This is the kind of gem you want to find in a busy beach town where there are sweet shops on practically every block. The ice cream in made on-site at this cute, clean shop. There was a line on the week night we visited and one person taking orders, scooping and ringing up customers. She had it down though and we were served and eating creamy goodness in no time. The flavors are interesting but totally accessible. Think Banana Pudding, Birthday Cake, Rocky Road, Lemon Custard and Marionberry to name a few. We were in seaside today and my wife saw someone walking around with a very good looking waffle cone. This was not any ordinary waffle cone, mind you. This specific vessel for ice cream was the perfect size - not too big and not too small. But most importantly, the cone itself was well constructed. It was clear, even from a distance, that this edible geometric wonder could hold a scoop of deliciousness while providing ample support. It would not drip out of the bottom and the top offered an appropriate sized crater for the cold treat: it did not sink down into the hole. We set out to find the shop from which this came, and found it in Zinger's. The shop itself was clean and nice and the staff were super friendly. They had a good variety of flavors too. Stopped by Zinger's on the walk back to our hotel for some pre-bed time ice cream. There's quite a few ice cream shops that try and entice you with the smell of their waffle cones along this street, but I highly recommend letting Zinger's be the one to drag you in! And yes, they have waffle cones. The shop itself is cute and clean. No seating inside provided during COVID-19, so just be prepared to grab & go. Flavors are mostly traditional with a few fun ones but nothing too wacky. I ended up going with the banana flavor and it was SO good. Tasted incredibly fresh and not like a super artificial banana flavor. Loved it. I went with a bowl because I hate how messy cones get, but my husband got a cone and thought it was delicious. I got Butterfinger and grasshopper pie (mint chocolate cookie) in a waffle cone. Both flavors were delicious and rich and creamy. Big scoops at a good reasonable price. The waffle cone was okay; I haven't had waffle cones in years and thought I'd give it a try, but it didn't blow me away, so I won't be getting it again (not worth the extra $ for me, at least). My husband and I spent 10 days in Seaside/Cannon Beach. We came to Zinger's for ice cream at least 4 times! The shop is super clean and smells amazing as you walk in. They make all of their ice cream homemade and they also make homemade waffle cones. They offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors. Our favorites were the cheesecake, triple berry, & strawberry. The lemon pie was delicious too. It had chunks of pie crust throughout the tangy lemon ice cream. There are several other ice cream options along Broadway in Seaside, but not all of them compare. One shop advertises "gourmet ice cream" but when you get inside the place you see that it's just Dryer's brand ice cream for $6 a scoop. I highly recommend visiting Zinger's! It's delicious! The employees working there were always helpful and really happy to offer samples and suggestions. read more

We used to love this place, but after the attitude I received today, we will never come back. We pulled into town late due to traffic and our first stop was Zingers, we were so excited, it was 15 min til close but in the employees eyes they were ready to close then, they looked annoyed and not very welcoming. At least the dude I dealt with. I was bummed they didn't have pistachio ice cream. I get it. I opted for fruit ice cream and chocolate for my wife. I wanted waffle bowls, they said they didn't have enough people to make them (there were about 4 people standing around and 1 gal helping a huge family) one employee was even helping himself to his own ice cream it appeared. So I opted for waffle cones, he looked and they only had 1 left so I didn't order my ice cream just got my wife's. The kid behind the counter started to flip me attitude and told me "that's what you get for coming in so close to closing".... Excuse me? Then, he tried to hand me the cone, and I said um... remember I asked if you can you put it in a large cup so it doesn't spill? He tried to put it in a bowl, I said please something deeper? He handed me this little cup and said that's the biggest one I can give you ( I can see there are 3 more sizes available) I said whatever. He walks to the register. Rings me up for 8 bucks (double scoop) and the says very annoyed with a hint of sarcasms as he's turning around (no longer facing me) "have a good one" no smile. Way to make me feel welcomed. So that kid got no tip from me (and I tip everyone!!!!!) I walked across the street and up towards the beach to the Tuckered Bear. Got a double scoop pistachio in a waffle bowl with an extra bowl for good measure for $8.50. She got a tip!!!! 2 star review... Each star signifies a finger. Zingers can get my middle finger....
