Fantastic, locally-owned outfit. We wanted to do a guided trip to the Narrows, which was unfortunately closed due to high water flows. Zion Guru suggested another slot canyon adventure at Kanarra Falls (which I would have never known existed). They arranged for the permits / transport etc... Our guide Tyler was excellent: made us all feel safe during the trip, was super knowledgeable about flora/fauna/geography/history, and all around a very nice human being. We also rented e-bikes from them to bypass the shuttles at Zion, on their recommendation. And it was indeed the best way to see the Zion canyon. Thanks Zion Guru for making our vacation super duper! read more

The staff is extremely friendly, all of them! Everything was ready when we arrived. The reservation process online was easy. Nonissues with any bikes. We will definitely use them again. read more

Zion Guru made my hike up the Narrows fantastic! We were referred to them by our fellow explorers the day before. Upon arrival we we greeted warmly and helped immediately. Our group had no experience and the man who helped us was very kind to explain our options. We were fitted and on our way in no time. Walking through the icy water and rough terrains was a breeze in their bib overalls with attached water proof socks and shoes. We were never cold and our feet stayed dry all day. The return process was also a piece of cake! read more

Could not be happier with Zion Guru. They outfitted my husband and me, as well as our kids. We all stayed dry using their advice and gear. The folks that helped us get ready were eager to help and answer our questions. We had a blast in The Narrows. Thank you Zion Guru! read more

Loved the Narrows and loved our guide, Rob, who balanced safety/guide duties with entertainment/information. We learned a lot about the history and geology of Zion, and thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring. read more

Great place for rentals! The staff help you get set up and help make sure you feel comfortable with your equipment. We rented both the e-bikes for a full day (highly recommend) and gear for the narrows - both worked great! read more

Great experience resting electric bikes for the whole family! I would highly recommend!!

Zion Guru's waterproof bib, boots, and walking pole made all the difference for our hike up the Narrows! My friends and I were warm and didn't have to endure the 40-degree water. I would definitely recommend them to others. We were able to pick up our gear the evening before, and we even got a short overview of the hike, the different paths we could take, and what to bring on our hike. read more

Wow! They went about & beyond! There I am indecisive on what to do. Ah I can't think of the guys name who helped us (my fellow vegan friend). Was extremely helpful & asked what we liked. From here he made a recommendation. Our day he planned for us was perfect! read more

So we are totally obsessed with Jonathan and let me tell you why. We showed up in the middle of our long road trip completely unprepared. We didn't know everything was sold out and closed etc. We came there on a recommendation from another place where everything was also sold out. We were going to take a shuttle to the top and hike a little and head out. I was skeptical because of the heat and my intolerance of it and Jonathan walked us through all of the trails and told us all of the challenges. He listened patiently to all of our questions like, "How long will that take?" and "Is that cool to see?" He suggested a hike that was a lot cooler (temperature) and an easier level but with a great view. He was right. We would come back to Zion Park just to see Jonathan. He also saved me a lot of pain and agony of walking in the heat. Long live Jonathan!!!! read more

The staff at Zion Guru was extremely helpful and very informative in guiding our family to conquer the Narrows at Zion. We had an event full time and it was Thanks to the Zion Guru staff and a special Thanks to Sandy Aguirre who suggested using E-Bikes which made the journey to the Narrows a special experience . read more

This was our second time renting equipment from Zion Guru and the service was nothing like the first time. We walk in and there was no one else in the building at the time. The guy at the front desk looked like he was in the middle of something so we waited for someone else to greet and assist us. Another staff member walked in but looked like he was busy helping another person outside. After a couple of minutes, we asked the the guy at the front desk if we can rent some gear for the Narrows. He says "sure" and just stares at us. We ask if they provide a shuttle service and the guy rolls his eye and point at a flyer saying I need to coordinate with that provider. He asked for our shoe size and that was it. We tried everything on and the guy left and some young kid helped us check out. Not once did they give us any insight on what we were going into or offered any tips for the hike. Not that we needed any but it would've been appreciated for first timers. We asked a couple of questions but again, we got an eye roll and a short answer. We felt like we couldn't ask any more questions after that. Our first time renting was last year in July and the 2 guys that helped us set the bar really high apparently. They were so upbeat and spilled out all this info about the trail before we can even ask. Told us signs to look out for for flash floods, what to bring and not to bring and recommended other hikes that don't require equipment. Since it was our first time we had a lot of questions and they answered all of them. We really just wanted to walk out the door but due to the Covid situation we didn't know if other places had shuttle services and didn't want to take the chance of going to the Narrows the next day. So we bit our tongue, checked out and left. read more

Zion Guru was amazing. They were so helpful in knowing what was open and fun adventures we could do during our stay. My cousin and I went rock climbing with Hector and his pup Luna. It was challenging but so fun. Hector was great and gave us good advice otw up the cliff. Everyone was very nice and genuine. While we were hiking the narrows we told everyone to go to zion guru for their gear because of how awesome they were. When we returned our gear there were three people that we talked to in there. so grateful for this team. read more

Great place to get all your gear rentals when in Zion. Prices are reasonable and are the same compare to all the other gear rental shops nearby. They have great customer service. Their return policy is reasonable. Their time frame for return is same day before they closed or by the next day. read more

Rented boots, socks, and walking sticks from here + ebikes. Super easy process and they were very helpful. We called ahead and reserved the e bikes over the phone and paid a deposit. We went in and paid the rest and got our shoes to hike the narrows. We've done the narrows hike before so we had some experience and didn't need too much information. I saw them answering and helping other people with their boots and questions tho. The E Bikes were awesome!!!!!! We rode them up to the entrance of the park, up the pa'rus trail and up past shuttle stop 3 and 4 and back out and they still had full charge. If you want to do e bikes- DO IT! They're soooo much fun. read more

We had a fantastic experience with Zion Guru! The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. We had a wide range of ages (73 down to 12 years old) and everyone could manage these bikes. We had such a great time, we came back for a second day. This is definitely the way to see Zion. We didn't have to wait or cram on to shuttle buses. We could go at our own pace, and stop when we wanted to. Truly, a perfect way to enjoy the park! read more

Zion Guru went above and beyond in customer service!!! We had a family reunion of 30 ranging in ages 6-71. Our family spent four days in Zion and our family went canyoneering at the Lamb's Knoll with Zion Guru. It was a highlight of our trip and we cant recommend it enough! Canyoneering with Zion Guru will be at the top of our to do list the next time we're back in Zion! We had a phenomenal time with our guide Nick. With two kids (8, 12), our collective group had a few nerves about our adventure at the start. But Nick did an amazing job to help us all build our confidence quickly. Before long we were climbing rocks, skinnying through slot canyons, and rappelling down 50+ foot drops with smiles on our faces. With his knowledge, patience, and professionalism, Nick made sure we had a fabulous time and a memorable experience. Both kids wanted to go again the next day! Can't recommend Zion Guru (and Nick!) enough! Terrific job all around! Thank you Zion Guru!! read more

We rent two set of gears from Zion Guru for Narrows as recommended by our Cliffrose Hotel. Gears are in very good condition and services are good when we tried and picked up the gears. The reasons for 2 stars rating is when we returning the gears to the stores around 7:20pm the next day. The person who manned the desk did not responded to our questions twice. We want to know where to place the gears and want to make sure Zion Guru record our returning of gears in good condition. He was playing with his cell phone and with both ear plugs in his ears. After I moved my handed in front of his eyes, he just point us to the shopping cart and told us to turn the wader inside out. We are late to our diner reservation. We ask him to turn the wader inside out for us. He refused. So I have to turn both waders inside out. This store should do that for their customers. Not to order the customer to do that and have the staff playing with cell phone. During the customer service time, this guy keep the ear plugs in all time while talking/shouting to us. read more

Totally recommend! They were helpful and so easy to work with! They even through in advice on how to be most successful!

This place is amazing. Tonya helped us so much and was so nice answering the million questions that we had. She even made a call for us to check on how bad the sketchy road conditions are for getting to the top of the narrows trailhead after today's rain. And they had the size 15 boots that I needed and were super chill about return times for the gear. They've got great people running this place. read more

Lovely time with my family. It was our first time at the Narrows and it was so much fun navigating through the Virgin River. It was nice and pleasant and can go at your own pace. We did have a person with limited mobility so I'd suggest to go for the full time. If you could afford hire their tour guide Rob. He talks about the history. We didn't but still had a great time. Rent their shoes, socks and walking sticks. You need these. It can be a little chilly in the morning but we did fine without. It was very pleasant It's not hot since you are in or by water and in the canyon. In mid June the water only went above knee once or twice. It was a great workout but so much fun and the scenery was breathtaking. read more

I hate walking into a place & not having a clue what to do, where to go, etc. so I really appreciated walking up to Zion Guru to rent Narrows hiking gear and immediately being greeted by someone. He directed us inside where another person greeted us right away and helped us get our gear. Another staff person helped us while as we finished getting our shoes and helped us pick out our walking poles. So smooth! Zion Guru got us on our way to the Narrows quickly and seamlessly (& there were five of us). Thank you, Zion Guru! read more

Five stars for our tour guide extraordinaire, Noah, who led us for e-biking and hiking in Zion NP. We watched the e-bike video the night before our tour, which helped. As a rock climber, Noah shared insights and park info; he spotted climbers with excitement and ease. Zion Guru gets 4 stars for emails with two starts times and confusing parking accommodations. Would highly recommend ZG and Noah especially! read more

Could not be more happy and impressed with Zion Guru. We did the half day canyoneering tour. Super fun tour where you get to rapel down 100 ft into slot canyons. Our guide Ben was awesome! Super nice, accommodating, respectful and professional. We felt very safe under his care and he did a really good job explaining how all the gear worked and fit together. We also booked a shuttle into Zion through Zion Guru and rented a dry suit package and dry backpack for the narrows. The shuttle service in Zion is shut down at the moment but private paid shuttles are permitted. You should definitely book a shuttle to the hikes you want to do (especially the narrows) as they will close the road intermittently to through traffic when parking gets full. Jonathan, the owner of Zion Guru, fitted us for our dry suit and drove our shuttle to the narrows. Super duper nice guy and very knowledgeable. When we got back to the shop from hiking the narrows he saw us unloading, came over and asked how our day was (amazing!) and then offered to take our rented gear from our car back to the shop. Just above and beyond. Do yourself a favor and call Zion Guru for all your Zion needs. You'll be happy you did. read more

Bottom line I'm glad I went with Zion Guru. The main reason: I chose the Adventure Canyon Quest. And I'm glad I did. Though it was more expensive then one of the other Tours offered in Springdale, I trusted there was a good reason. First it was private, second Chris who was my expert guide, was patient, and supportive. I've never rappelled and def was pushing the envelope. I also wanted to experience Slot Canyons and Chris tailored the entire experience. I should also mention that I'm 72 so no spring chicken. I trusted Chris with my life! Had great time, felt safe and saw some amazing canyons and learned so much about geology and plants! Ask for Chris! Zion Guru and probably all the outfits that rent gear in Springdale are overwhelmed by the huge crowds that come to Zion. And each time I arrived, the store was packed and everyone trying on equipment for the Narrows. Fortunately I rented my gear in advance. But wasn't given clear instructions on how to gear up. So wore my socks and the trek was squishy. Not a big deal. The boots I was given was a bit worn, so asked for newer ones where the soles had great grip, cause you really need this hiking the Narrows. Also knew they rented trekking poles, but the gal I asked didn't have them. Asked again to someone else, and indeed they did. Apparently lot's of turn over... as in most of these outfits I presume. So it's good to ask several times, to be sure your getting your needs met. Would of given 5 stars if it wasn't for these minor issues. Otherwise everyone is nice, helpful and I must salute and mention the back office! They were quick to respond to my zillion questions. read more

Ben was great -- super calm , great teacher, zero attitude. The scramble uphill was super fun and the rappelling was fantastic. Everybody loved it. I just wish they would wear masks. read more

Highly Recommend Zion Guru! They are very knowledgeable and have top of the line equipment. We needed to change our date for Narrows due to light rain and it was no problem. We rented the bibs and Guru seemed to be only rental facility that had one piece bibs and socks. While other hikers that rented from different locations were complaining of cold wet feet, our group had dry warm feet. Couldn't be more pleased with our rental experience with Zion Guru. read more

Was very happy we rented eBikes at Zion Guru. They went the extra mile with great customer service. I'm really short and was worried the seat would be too high. They put on a special lower seat. I got a block away and realize it was too low. I went back and they put the normal seat back on and spent extra time adjusting it so it was just right. We had a blast! read more

My family and I wanted to hike the Narrows during Thanksgiving week. We checked out several outfitters in Springdale. They all had more or less the same stuff and more or less the same prices. But the service at Zion Guru was exceptional: training, support, letting us show up early to get equipment, friendliness, etc. Plus, they go the extra mile, like giving us double booties because the water was pretty cold. Next time around, I will go straight to Zion Guru. They've earned my loyalty. read more

Really fun time! My wife and I did the 1/2 day repelling trip w/Pierce. He was great --- super knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable the entire time. Only real complaint we had was the company doesn't supply any gloves, which is crucial for amateurs like us. We did a similar activity in Costa Rica, and the adventure company provided gloves, which made descending a lot easier on the hands. Also, would recommend long pants given the amount of contact with rocks, etc. Overall though --- great company with professional staff and recommended for a unique experience in Zion. read more
