We did the Top of the World Tour with the ride-along guide option and it was absolutely amazing! Courtney was our guide and she was incredible--knowledgeable, fun, and made the whole experience even better. This was my first time doing anything like this, so I went in with no expectations, but it completely blew us out of the water. What a blast! Can't recommend this place enough. High quality equipment and amazing terrain. Do the full day! There is too much to see in 1/2 day. 1st: Quick and easy check in. We picked a time that wasn't very crowded. Review of the equipment was clear. 2nd: Getting to the terrain is simple. A right, left, left, right.... Don't get intimidated that you have to drive there. 3rd: Riding! There is SO much to see and do. You have to head up to that overlook. Views are AMAZING! Get started on the easy terrain to build up some confidence if you're new to ATV's. We very carefully made our way over to the rock formations, well worth the efforts. We saved the dunes to the end. It was sweet! Use your online map, makes it very easy to navigate. Tip: BRING WATER. Give yourself time to clean up your machine on the way back. We can't wait to return. Just so cool. read more

We had an amazing experience with these guys! We rode in a pack of three through the hills, sand, and down to the reservoir. I absolutely enjoyed every moment. Come prepared to get a little dirty from the sand. They supply you with helmets and goggles to wear and make sure you are comfortable before taking off. We did a 3 hour tour during our trip to St George. We have five in our family, so the tour guide let one of our children ride with him in the front of the group. The three hour tour was awesome! Beautiful scenery, rock climbing in the RAZR, good hills, sand dunes, and lots of great photo ops. Cost was a little on the high side, but I do admit it was worth every penny. This was my second year renting UTVs from SUAC during the busy Memorial Day weekend. The customer service is top notch and the fleet is most impressive. Dan took the time to mark the map with all the must-see spots and best routes to take. We got a flat tire while we were out riding, and River showed up within 30 minutes to change the tire. We really enjoyed the 3 hour guided tour. Talon, our guide, was very helpful in explaining all of the safety and operations of the UTV. He also moved it at a good pace so it was a lot of fun. We went on dirt trials, climbed up and down rocks, and drove on dunes. The vehicles are easy to drive, so while the terrain looks tough it's not too bad. We left at 9 am to get in front of the 110 degree heat; when we finished at noon it was hot but not unbearable, the vehicle has a roof to block the sun. My daughter and I visited Hurricane, Utah, on our trip to Zion NP in November 2021. We took a day out and rented a Kawasaki KRX 1000 UTV for fun at the Hurricane sand dunes. Our experience at Southern Utah Adventure Center was a positive one. The staff person was friendly and helpful in checking us into our UTV. While we got lost on the way to the sand dunes, once we found them, we had a blast! As a side note, the Kawasaki KRX 1000 will go anywhere on the dunes. It's a very capable machine with amazing traction and it's very fast! Don't hesitate to rent from Southern Utah Adventure Center. Their equipment is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. My family and I decided we wanted to rent a boat last minute on July 4th weekend. After calling a couple who had no available boats, I decided to give SUAC a call. They said they had an available ski boat that seats 8. I had to call back a coupLe times and ask questions and each person I spoke to was cheerful and helpful. We had to tow the boat ourselves to the sand hollow launch which was fine for us because we had a vehicle and hitch to do it (they are located about 10 minutes from sand hollow lake).The boat seemed newer and was perfect for our family. The staff forgot to put life jackets on the boat and we didn't realize until we got to the boat launch so we had to go back to the shop to get them. For the inconvenience, the staff offered to add an extra hour into the reservation at no charge. We had such a great day thanks to this place and the staff! read more

Good and not so good. Good....nice location, fun tours, friendly guide, clean restrooms and equipment. We would definitely come back and recommend to others. Not so good....tour time was cut short due to leaving the facility 20mins after the start time. Although the management was receptive to our disappointment and offered our group free shirts, I would have preferred the correct amount of time out on the dunes. Tip: pay attention to your start and return time. If you leave more than 10mins after your start time due to others being late or staff not ready, mention it to your guide. Hopefully they will make sure to stay out on the dunes longer to make up for the late start. read more

Great value! I rented a Jeep for the Full day. We had an absolute blast. Easy check in and check out process. They guy at the counter gave us a really good route on the map to take. Very scenic. The route was not challenging as far as off roading goes, mostly fire roads. I added some more challenging stuff on my own though and made it totally worth it. We were still able to hit 90% of the route he gave us even with my detours for more challenging stuff. The views are breath taking. Definitely look these folks up if you're visiting Zion! read more

We looked at electric bikes at all the shops in St. George, finally deciding to go with Open Rode Motorsports. Dave and Kent were great to work with. They were patient as we tried numerous bikes. They let us ride them as much as we needed to make sure we had the right bikes for us. We bought two bikes. We went back a week later and some new models had come in that we hadn't tried out. They offered to let us exchange what we had purchased for a different model if we wished. They just wanted us to be happy with what we had. You couldn't ask for a better company to work with. Their prices were very reasonable (lower than any of the other three shops we looked at). And they did everything they could to make sure that we were happy with our purchase. Later, we rented bikes for our entire family. They were wonderful to work with, very accommodating. I highly recommend this company. read more

Dan was our MAN, well okay he was just our guide but he was amazing! We showed up 20 minutes prior to our departure time and we were out of there 5 minutes before 7:00 pm, our departure time. So be sure to be on time. We were incredibly tired after a very long day of hiking at Zion and I was worried we wouldn't have the energy to push through one more activity but Dan got us all going. He didn't do a long boring run down of directions. "Throw it in H and drive. Speed is your friend." I loved when he said to not think too hard about how. "If you can drive a car then you can drive a buggy." We got out and felt like it was another land. We were transported into yet another landscape. Red dunes as far as the eyes could see. The best tour, in my opinion, has got to be the sunset tour. We watched the sun go down at Sand Hollow lake. It was gorgeous. We got to get in and rub our toes between the red sand. Dan brought water and granola bars to keep our energy up. It was a nice touch! This was my 10 year olds favorite part of our trip and I may have to agree! read more

I want to preface this review by saying there were some positive parts to my experience. The driver/customer service rep was incredibly friendly; he brought snacks and water, took pictures for us, and just made us feel comfortable overall. That being said I was pretty disappointed by my "adventure." My friend and I signed up to ride an ATV with a driver for the sunset tour and we had expected an exciting ride where we would feel the rush of atv driving in sand dunes and off-roading. Unfortunately that didn't happen. It felt like our driver was driving very timidly and carefully. There were no whoops or shouts of joy like I usually experience when I ride atv's. While the views were okay, this is Zion and there are beautiful views everywhere you turn. Basically, we were most excited about riding in the atv's but that ended up being the biggest disappointment. Basically, it you're looking for a safe atv experience this is the place for you, but if you're looking for excitement or the rush of riding an atv in then I'd say go elsewhere. read more
