There are like four areas of the cave to explore with some really cool things to look at. Mostly rocks and things collected in the area and through travels. It wasn't totally what I was expecting when you think about exploring a cave. It kind of felt like one giant gift store you paid to get into. But if you have time to kill it is worth exploring.

We stopped here not expecting much, but it completely surprised us. This wasn't just any ghost town--it was once a booming mining town in the late 1800s with over 1,500-2,000 people, all chasing silver that was somehow found in sandstone (which is basically unheard of). Walking through the area, you can still see preserved buildings like the old Wells Fargo office and other remnants that give you a real glimpse into what life was like back then. The museum is small but packed with artifacts, and the guided tour adds a lot of context to the experience. What really makes this place stand out though is the setting. You've got these insane red rock cliffs surrounding the town, so it doesn't just feel historic--it's actually beautiful too. There are also trails nearby if you want to explore a little more. Overall, Silver Reef feels like a hidden gem that most people drive right past. It's quick, unique, and surprisingly fascinating. If you're anywhere near St. George or Zion, it's 100% worth the stop. Beautiful grounds which include yucca trees, cactus, and sagebrush. Great off the beaten path place to be still and look around. I really got a sense of good energy from there. Very cool. So goon set his drone out to follow me, buzzed behind my car guessing to get a plate, buzzed me a couple times....I flipped it off a 2-3 times and it eventually left....how rude.

There's a cake from early 1900's. Yes it's famous around the world as oldest wedding cake. There's also a couple of slabs of Bacon from the same time period. It was just let "Hanging" by a woman who passed away and it was forgotten a decade or so later. There's a lot of personal artifacts from original pioneers and settlers. One room I really enjoyed was the Indian Artifacts room. They have a very large clay pot 20" diameter that is over 10,000 years old. Was found buried and full of corn. They reportedly planted some and grew corn. Takes about 30-45 minutes to go thru. Very nice and informed staff. Great outside displays and plenty of parking. Check it out when in Hurricane Utah

I had never heard of any of the movies myself, but I also don't consider myself to be a fan of western movies. So that that as you will. There's a large gift/souvenir shop that you walk through to get to the movie sets. They ask for a donation of $5 per person by way of a donation box at the door. The gift shop has a variety of items-some of them made locally and others made in China. It's a strange mix. I would assume this place is on the route for tour busses, because I saw a few of them during my visit. Plenty of parking out front, even with the busses.
