I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews on here. My husband and I were happy to escape the city and experience this ranch. A few things I've noticed people complain about: 1)Attention parents: This place is not a petting zoo. If you allow your kids to run wild and run out of sight, don't be surprised if a chicken or nursing dog gets upset and reacts. I was shocked by the way some parents allowed their children to handle puppies that were 4 weeks old. These are ranch animals and they react as such. You're in their environment. Respect it. 2) If you're here looking for a large screen TV, I don't think ranch life is for you. My husband and I spent our days hiking. We were only in the cabin to sleep. 3) The WiFi worked great for us. Again, who needs WiFi for an entire vacation when you're right next to Zion National Park? We found this place charming and very relaxing. It's located close to Kanab where there are some great restaurants. Also, you're right next to Zion National Park. read more

We were very excited to stay here but unfortunately we had a disappointing experience. So there's WiFi, but it doesn't work on the cabins across the street. So make sure you are WiFi enabled if you need it. And there's no cellphone signal. And the tv didn't work, it was a tube TV with built in vhs lol- didn't know those things were still around. And it's OK if remote is what you are going for, but guests need to buy into it, not be forced into it. We had a bit of work to do so not having the WiFi was crippling. Also we needed the fridge, but it had a big ol hair in the middle of it. On the plus side they have horses, ducks, chickens so it's fun for kids. And there's a restaurant but not sure what that's like. read more

I came here for lunch on my way through Zion about three months ago and it was delicious and the service was great so I didn't hesitate to book a cabin for New Year's Eve and dinner in the restaurant. I had cabin 170 which has a clear view of the bison reserve but the cabin itself is really worn and tired and in need of an update (paint is peeling everywhere and at the end of December the wood-burning stove doesn't work?) The New Year's Eve dinner was a fixed menu of three entrées and was not made aware to me when I made the reservation (which they couldn't find when I arrived!) so it was a little disappointing to see that my $65/person choices were beef, chicken or beef. I chose the beef stew and it was dreadfully disappointing. For a half a pound of mashed potatoes with a sprinkle of meat and carrot and very little atop. The salad was good, as was the flourless chocolate cake. The hostess is quite young and has much to learn, but the waitress. (forget her name, but she's from Alabama) is a complete and total delight. If they complete a cabin renovation, I might revisit back for $350 a night for a king size studio unit that's peeling from the ground down, not worth it. read more

My boyfriend and I took a road trip over Christmas with Zion Mountain Ranch being our last stop. Before this stop we stayed in 5 other hotels and had no issues. I was so excited to stay here. We chose this place to spend Christmas thinking it would be the perfect cozy cabin to spend our holidays in. Two weeks prior to our stay I even called to add an additional night and upgraded to a "nicer" cabin. Boy, I was so wrong to do that. We checked in at 9pm on Christmas Eve. Immediately upon walking in our cabin I was disappointed. Such a lack of decor, scratches on the wall, basic everything.. for the most expensive place in Zion you think they would add a little charm. However, that I could live with. What I could not live with was the night's sleep. Mattress must have been the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. One of those hard, spring mattresses that make a noise every time you move. The fireplace was not working, so only were able to use the loud and overbearing AC/heater unit. The toilet was making a noise as well. I think when other cabins flush, it creates a chain reaction of just noise. Lastly, they had a duvet blanket at the end of the bed. I would be surprised if they washed it on a regular basis. There was no cover on that blanket. I didn't get any sleep that night and literally woke up Christmas morning in tears. I went to the lobby first thing in the morning. They didn't offer me another cabin, they didn't apologize. It was decided that I was to check out. They gave me a coupon for the lousy breakfast and that was it. I spent Christmas driving 8 hours back home. I was expecting them to give me reimbursement of some sort. Nope. In addition to my initial $500+ spent they charged me the $75 dog fee after I checked out . I was there for less than 12 hours. We didn't even use the shower during our stay. I am still in shock that $600 was spent for those awful 12 hours. I tried to reach out to them for even a partial amount to be returned. Nope. Tried emailing the CEO. No response. These people don't care about hospitality. They had a pretty ranch and put some pretty animals around and expected that to be good enough. They will take your money and run. They do not care about the customer's experience, all they care about is a quick dollar. I love to support small, local businesses but it was the worst experience I have had with a hotel. Never again I would suggest staying elsewhere. If you love animals, visit their farm but sleep somewhere else. I also forgot to mention, if you have dogs you're not allowed to walk them in certain areas because their dogs will attack your dogs. Talk about comforting. This place could be great but they left such a bitter taste in my mouth I would give them zero stars if I could. Give yourself a better night's sleep and money saved and stay somewhere else. read more

So there are many great reviews and a few bad ones. My wife and daughter stayed in mid February and the weather was perfect. Our room was a cabin as we expected, not a plush marriot room! If you don't know how to turn on the gas fireplace, then don't complain about it and stay in a hotel. The bison were not onsite due to fencing issues, it's been 6 months from what I can gather from other reviews, but it's a working ranch and they have many things to deal with and the grass may be better in the field the bison are in right now. They have a nice firepit that we along with another couple enjoyed, after eating the best bison filet I have ever had. The breakfast has real scratch made biscuits and real gravy like southerners eat. I would expect if you don't like Zion mountain ranch or if something goes wrong, they will not discount or refund your money. I will be back. read more

I loved the entire look of this place. It was so cute and cozy. You really felt as though you were in the middle of no where. The cabin was beautiful and the ranch was beautiful. Unfortunately, I can only give this place one star. The two women working at the front were, quite frankly, incompetent. One of them (the younger one) couldn't find our reservation for the longest time (yes, it was there!) and she was so rude to us. She also kept getting our room number wrong, and jus seemed completely out of it. Our room did not have a DVD player, (yes, they have those and you can borrow DVDs from the office). However, our room was missing one, so we couldn't watch anything because the TV has no channels. Our fireplace would not work either. We attempted to call the office several times, but literally no service for our calls. We got kind of freaked out, because there was no way to call for help if we needed it. The office is close enough, but closes at 10:30. Thus, we were scared for a large portion of the evening. The worst part was the morning for check out. We were not feeling well, and attempted to contact the front desk so many times to request a late check-out, to no avail. When we went to the front, they told us that they would be charging $50 because we checked out late, and they "called us 3 times each." We explained that we tried calling them multiple times, but our Phones would not work in the room, and the rooms did not come equipped with phones. They were completely unreasonable and ridiculous. They did end up only charging $20, but it was not about the money. read more

This place is beautiful! Cozy cabins with great views. My son loved feeding the ducks and the chickens. I loved spending time with the horses. The fire-pit at night was very pleasant and we made smores. Being woken up by roosters in the morning was special. Seeing bison hanging out on the other side of the fence was a unique experience. All the humans and the animal were very nice and friendly. The food at the restaurant was only ok, but we did not mind. Exactly what we were looking for: a lot of outdoor time with nature. Limited TV and cell was a plus. Highly recommend and we will be back. Thank you for the fabulous time. read more

This place is a little pricey for a place in the middle of nowhere. The house salad was very non substantial for 10 bucks. Add $6 for mushrooms plus tax and tip it came to $19. This place is MAGICAL. My fiancé and I stayed two nights too short. It's past Zion National Park and offers a nice quite, peaceful, and magical scenery. The property itself is so beautiful. There is wide grassland where Buffalo graze. There are also beautiful horses, goat, and chicken. It just seems so freeing. The cabin itself was so beautiful. It served more than our expectations. There's room for you to park right next to your cabin. We walked in and it was just breathtaking. It's a wooded cabin with beautiful simple decor that makes you feel like your on a ranch. There was a nice leather couch, fireplace, wood table, and simple wall decor. There was a nice small porch outside too that you could sit on and enjoy the morning sounds of the ranch or watch the beautiful night stars. It was a little chilly for us but we definitely enjoyed it. They also have a delicious restaurant right on site. It's a little pricey, but food is good. We had the zucchini salad (AMAZING), pasta dish, and prime rib. The second night we had the Bison burger which I would say sounded way better than it tasted. Was a bit disappointed by it. But you shouldn't let that deter you from going there. It's all still amazing. Staff are super friendly and welcoming as well. I would totally recommend ZMR to anyone. I had the luxury of staying in Cabin 123 (I believe) last week and writing this review has been on the forefront of my mind. Let me begin that we made the mistake of booking only one night, and immediately regretted the way we planned because we really. Did. Not. Want. To. Leave. If you're doing Bryce and Zion- Stay here for the duration of both, it's THAT incredible. The cabin was meticulously cleaned and had the most warm and welcoming bathroom after escaping the cold. I want to come back to Utah even just to take a bath in that tub. On top of the grounds being beautiful, the cabin, all the animals, mostly the staff was so warm. Whomever checked me in, a quaint and delicate woman, could bring peace to the world. She was so beyond lovely, and took time to explain a little bit about their slice of heaven and fur friends. Flying home to Long Island was especially difficult after this stay at ZMR, we are so grateful to you. read more

Amazing location on the east side of the park, with everything you need to enjoy the outdoors. They have a fire pit with s'mores for star gazing. They have a farm to table restaurant, and comfy cabins. One desk staff person needs a few tips on making people's experience pleasant - she said no without suggesting alternatives. Basic service stuff. But I'd bring my family here for sure. It feels so remote but within 15 minutes to the park. And they will pack your lunch for your park visit. So pampering. read more

We recently stayed at the ZMR and here are the pros and cons: Pros: great location to explore Zion National Park beautiful meadows and views good restaurant associated with the accommodations friendly staff Cons: somewhat over-priced gas fireplace failed to function some of the repairs are substandard mice in our room We awoke on our second night to mice eating our snacks. We tried to scare them off but they just continued eating off and on most of the night. Needless to say we didn't sleep much that night. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was really nice having our own little cabin, petting the baby buffalo Betty, the mini horses and walking around the ranch. It got quote loud at night when a pack of coyotes decided to have a party outside our cabin, so we didn't sleep that well. We did a horseback ride with their affiliated company Zion Mountain Trail Rides, which was amazing. The area around the ranch seems to be under construction still which took one star off this review. It really felt like you were walking around on a construction site and not a high end ranch. The price I probably a little steep for what you're getting at this point, but once they're done with their upgrades I'd feel better about paying $$$. read more

This place is a joke. DO NOT BOOK. They overbooked us & we had 3 nights with them over spring break m. After arriving at 7pm from another national park & a day of hiking they didn't have a room for us & our kids. This is an area that basically has no where to sleep and we nearly had to sleep in our car. It was an obvious scam from the get go. The owners left the poor guy working the desk Dylan to deal with their lies. He deserves employee of the year. He went above & beyond & even called someone he knew at another resort to find us a Vrbo house. But the owners of this place are downright dirty & need to Learn how to treat a customer! It's shameful! Dylan needs a raise for being forced to cover for these shameful antics that nearly left us sleeping in our car in the desert! The Ponderosa & Zion Wildflower were both amazing, no reason to patronize people that do business this way!!!!! read more

Comfortable enough, but a bit of a stretch from the luxury status represented on the website. Like a previous poster said, the attempt is there, but the details are really overlooked. (We had no trouble with hot water.) Our tub/shower was basic, not fancy like the photos. Sofa in our cabin was *very* worn. Biggest reason for the 3 stars is having to kill 3 spiders, a large red ant (in the bed!?), earwigs, and other bugs in the bathroom. We also checked out the farm to table restaurant but decided not to stay based on price (very high - $12 for scrambled egg breakfast). Not sure what's up with the long dress uniform(?) on some of the ladies, but it felt a little out of place...and if it's an attempt to give an "Old West" feel, it doesn't really translate when it's inconsistent (not all workers wore this). In terms of convenience to Zion, I would not choose to stay again because I didn't like that it was at the opposite end of the park from the visitors center. 13 miles sounds close, but it's a slow drive through the park and not conducive to going back and forth. I would more quickly choose something in-park or in Springdale. read more

Love this secluded gem!! If you're looking to escape then Zion Mountain Ranch is it; stunning scenery, cozy cabins, nice staff. It's definitely a drive to get to restaurants, cafes (Kanab Creek Bakery-must try), groceries, etc. but it's worth it if you're up for an adventure. The views are stunning in every direction so we enjoyed the open road drives! I do recommend staying in the champagne suites because they come with a huge bath and are set far off the main road, or you can request a cabin off the main road- easy! Really a lovely find! read more

Extremely disappointed that staff were not wearing masks. I truly do not understand just because the area is considered "green" during COVID you have travelers come and visit from all across the states including areas that have high cases. We came from CA where mask wearing has been mandated everywhere. Sadly the staff were not properly protected. If you cant be selfless to protect others at least be selfish and protect yourself by wearing one. Also outdoor dining was not offered but rather take out was the option. Unfortunately not the best stay and there are plenty of businesses in the service industry that have complied with ways in which to protect the staff and visitors effectively. I don't camp but I love nature and finding cabins like these in the middle of nowhere brings the best of both worlds for those who enjoy hot baths or showers at the end of the evening. I accidentally stumbled upon this place while driving from Kanab to Zion. Noticed hundreds of buffalo from the road and stopped to take pics of them and discovered this was a ranch with so many things going on! This place has cabins (small & large), a restaurant, buffalo, horses, goats, chickens, dogs, gardens, and beautiful scenery in all directions. Things I loved ~ Jacuzzi tub in the champagne suites (upgrade - it's so worth it) Rocking love seat in front of each cabin Fireplace that warms up the cabins very quickly Pet friendly The restaurant All the animals that roam the property Handmade soaps The grounds, everything is rustic & charming! Things that could use some tlc ~ Towels weren't soft and could be replaced Get rid of spider webs before arrival, cabin just needed a once over Phone in the cabin just for any emergencies *wifi is free but can be spotty so just something to keep in mind for someone who might depend on it. I highly recommend this place as an option for anyone visiting the surrounding parks and it truly is a rustic & romantic getaway. Take advantage of the restaurant because it's awesome and horseback riding. You'll also be around lots of different animals and some roam freely and the charming factor was on point here. This was such an amazing getaway! But, it truly is a getaway so if you need to be close to civilization, restaurants, gas stations, etc this will not be the place for you. We rented a cabin and included horseback riding lessons into our package last January. I don't remember the prices but I can say they were not cheap, but they fulfilled exactly what we were looking for so the price was not an issue. Our cabin was amazing with a huge king bed, claw foot tub, great shower, refrigerator, microwave, sitting area, tv, etc. We had the "champagne suite" Our front porch view was of the planes with buffalos grazing in the distance. There is a a restaurant on site which was very delicious. Late at night you can hear deer roaming about in front of your cabin... I loved feeling connected to the nature. The nearest gas station is about a 30 minute drive and everything closes at six, so prepare accordingly. If you arrive late (like we did) your key will be in the envelope at the front door office with the cabin number. Finding the cabin the dark might be a bit of a challenge but overall it's not too bad. We spent three days here and I loved getting off the grid and just relaxing and soaking up all of the natural beauty that was surrounding us. It is great for a romantic getaway or a family gathering. read more

The concept is great however the execution is not. We stayed there as they advertise a ranch with about 60 bisons. We stayed 3 days and never saw a single bison. They don't have any way to take you closer to them, that's very lame for a ranch! The restaurant was in renovation but they said they could accommodate dinner. We signed up but ended up eating a cold meal completely over priced. Finally they don't have real fireplace in the rooms :/ read more

My first time at Zion and I immediately fell in love with the park and this ranch. At $300 it was way pricier than many of the other cabins online, but we booked the day before during labor day weekend so beggars can't be choosers. Cabin was super cute and we loved everything about it. We were in #123 and you could tell they put a lot of thought and money into the place - love the decor, it was rustic but not cowboy tacky. Name brand appliances and a huge deep soaking tub w jets, super warm and comfy bed, rocking benches on both porches. I loved everything about it. BUT after a day of hiking, dinner in town, and hanging at the campfire we finally got back around 11pm. Filled up the tub to take a nice hot bath, but the damn thing wasn't hot. We tried other faucets and the other tub - there was no hot water. Sucks but whatever... So we drove down to the front desk, nobody was there and there was no after hours number posted. Which is fine because we wouldn't have been able to call anyway since there seems to be no cell reception outside of Springdale for T-Mobile, att and sprint. When we checked out the following morning, the girl said the manager wasn't there yet (10am on a Friday). She supposedly left her a message to call us but its been 12hrs and nothing so far. I really would still recommend this place to others even though it was slightly cob webby and I found mouse poop on the nightstand (but no mice), but just be warned that if things go bad, you'll have no one to go to since the manager/owner doesn't seem to give a sh*t. The place was empty except for a handful of other cabins so we could've easily moved to one with working hot water, but now my friend has to resort to disputing the charge with amex since the owner can't be bothered. read more

And then this lady proceeded to explain how her bff is a healer!!! All I wanted to do was get some food for my kids! Anyway!!! So she was busy complaining about her wine pour (I'm not kidding) and when We finally sat down they only they had was butter pasta left...no fruit no vegetables...luckily booze! After passing the Zion Mountain Ranch twice in the past ten years, I wanted to stay there: beautiful open surroundings, Bison roaming, isolated with a restaurant; what else would you need? Plenty more, the ZMR should step on the pedal, as many guests will write in the unfavorable review I am posting. From when we checked in, to the ungracious clerk, fielding lack of information of the ranch and the activities, to arriving at the guest cabin, to find a lack of resources of the ranch and the lack of operating the air conditioner and the TV ( a TV is provided, it is for a DVD,,.. who uses a DVD?) to waiting to be sat for dinner at the Coralwood Restaurant, where no one and I mean NO ONE appeared to inquire of a waiting list, while the restaurant was attended by patrons: strange. I won't mention WIFI or cell use, as it is non-existent, but it is out in the wilderness. If an emergency strikes, good luck. I left a note to the maid of no TV reception, and inquired at the front desk, while the clerk nodded to my request of a tv repair. Two men did show up at 5 pm, and deemed it is only a DVD player. Oh, wow, that would be nice to know from the beginning, especially when you are paying $220 per night. Linens are scarce too; we had one hand towel and one wash repel upon our first night. The next day, linens were not delivered until 4pm. Best advice: stay and eat in Springdale. Actually, both meals we ate at the Mount Carmel Junction and Springdale, was excellent, and food was also excellent. read more

If you really want to escape the crowds, you come here because you are really in the middle of nowhere. However, you are one with nature! This is for the people who don't want to camp but don't mind doing cabins! They have different size cabins for all types of family and/or couples. You'll have a rocking chair out front to watch the buffalos in the morning and ride on ponies and horses around the place. The restaurant is nearby and you can eat in or have food served at your cabin so you can enjoy breakfast on your deck. Personally, it's a wonderful little place to escape from city life. I'd come back again and again. read more

My wife and I just stayed here and weren't very impressed with this place the pictures on their website make it look great but when you get there it's a whole Nother story I gave it 2 stars because of the animals that was pretty nice also their website says that check in time is at 3 o'clock we got there at 4 ended up not getting into our room until 430 because it wasn't clean so someone had to do that while we waited... for the amount of money these cabins cost they should take a little more pride in this place its a very nice property but the cabins need work people don't wanna drive hundreds and hundreds of miles to get to destinations where all they wanna do is relax and then they have to go through this kind of stuff, we work hard for our money I don't want to feel like we just threw it away...Also there was an exposed wire at the bottom of the stairs as you can see in the picture that I tripped over and the TV is about a 25 inch which is very small which isn't that big of a deal but it's 20 feet away from the bed it's kind of tough to see the towels were old and had rips in them WTH ? But that was just our experience hopefully yours is better read more

This was the second to last stop on our national park tour. The moment we walked in Rhonda at the front desk had a smile on her face and got us into our cabin quickly. We have two children who were in love instantly and took a walking tour where they found horses and chickens to pet! Rhonda was quick to make our visit comfortable. Our room was clean and the view was amazing. We ate at the restaurant and the service was excellent. The food was fabulous and the portions were huge...for the first time I can remember, a shared meal (the home grown filet mignon) was served on 2 plates with double sides. We loved the place and know your fam will too. read more

Totally my #1 place to stay near Zion National Park! We had an amazing getaway experience at this beautiful ranch. It was a breath of the fresh air, from dears, buffalos, horses just in your back yard to chickens chit chatting on the bench in front of their little gift store. Well, wow. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. My only wish is that we were able to get there during the daylight hours (but going through Zion in full moon light does not suck) and that we could have stayed a couple more days. We really loved the working fireplace in the great room with an outstanding hearth and chimney that obviously took someone a lot of time to design and implement, the great furniture, the comfortable bed, and the general attention to detail and design. We stayed at the Canyon Rim Suite. It really could not have been more perfect unless we had stayed there on "half price day" or something. There were just 2 of us in a room that was meant for many more, but too much space really isn't an issue. Great views too. We were in from Colorado, we see buffalo all the time, but yes, there were buffalo, and lots of them. We got to watch people do touristy things around a buffalo that very well could have ended up with a dead tourist - really entertaining. LOL. We'd very much like to return. Well let me say the potential is there..this place has 5 star potential but suffers a 3 star delivery. It's management obviously isn't concerned with the little things, and they add up to quite a bit. We had booked this as our final stay on our anniversary trip originally was planning for 3 days 2 nights but upon further inspection I'm glad I saved the money. Upon checking in there were 2 men at the desk, neither very enthusiastic about our stay. We were told " internet doesn't work well , and if you turn on the tv and flip channels you won't find anything" well why then a tv in every room? I had booked what was billed as champagne cabin with meadow view overlooking a herd of buffalo. No brainer. The photos showed a small studio with hardwood floors and a spa tub in room. Sitting Porch overlooking the meadow, buffalo in the background. Upon arriving to our cabin I had been given a 2 bedroom 2 bath 2 story cabin with 2 porches but no real view. I went back to the desk as there was obviously a mistake. They just told us it was a mistake but we could have the big one. They didn't seem to care really. I should have demanded what I ordered. Landscaping and exteriors needed a touch up quite some time ago. The cushioned bench seats on the porch were dated and had mice droppings all over them. Hadn't been cleaned in some time. Add the large wasp nest in the corner, well the porches were useless. Inside looked cute. Hardwood tile, custom bath, mini fridge, and but upon closer inspection holes in the walls Unfinished patch jobs in the drywall. Corner seams damaged from heavy use. The shower pressure is extremely high. Damage to the outside of the cabins. Animals living underneath. Beds are comfortable, decent sheets with high thread count. Mini fridge and a.c. work fine. Views from down the road are a amazing, quiet and no light pollution so stars are abundant. Restaurant was good but not great. They comped what we didn't like/eat. Looking through the window into the rear of the kitchen I wasn't impressed... lots of disarray/mess, cover that window or clean it up. Restaurant employees were interesting and polite with good service. So it seems to me these are all upper management issues. One thing I noticed all over southern Utah was many places sporting Native American themes, gifts, or souvenirs but no actual Natives in ownership or management. This place is no exception. With the large native warrior statue as the centerpiece as you enter the property. Standing proudly holding a large spear representing the deep connection the property must have with native culture I guess? As my girl is a federally recognized native we noticed this all over. Other than landscaping touch up and trail maintenance, the property is beautiful. There is honestly so much potential here. If utilized I'd be using 5 stars instead of three. I love this place and drive to the complete opposite side of the park just to go here. They have their own buffalo herd. The restaurant is EXCELLENT! Try buffalo bacon in the morning or the buffalo burger for lunch (evil, I know - but YUMMY). The horseback rides are awesome and affordable. Fun for the family. I've gone 3 times. Each time was different. They're building more cabins, so they changed the route. The guides are great. I used to ride horses, so it's nice to find a place that doesn't make you feel like a kid in a carseat strapped in the back of mom's van. There's freedom. We rode straight through the herd, with them chasing us. My glasses flew off and fell on the ground. The guide was so skilled she swooped them off the ground and we galloped to the fence. Hahaha. Awesome experience. Cabins are nice, roomy, make sure you go online and check everything out then make reservations. You can always stay in a tipi down the road... ;P P.S. Tate is quite cute. We fell in love with Zion national park and this ranch! The entire staff was wonderful! The location was easy to get to and convenient for exploring the park. I pulled up with my 3 kids and older mother later than we wanted because of bad traffic, we had called ahead. They talked us in and patched us through to the restaurant. The restaurant was done seating but let us place a to go order and then even had us just sit! They had great local craft beer and fresh food! Most of the food is grown in their own organic garden!!!! We pulled up at our cabin and it was stunning inside! A beautiful bed, couch, outstanding shower and tub, plus a fridge and microwave. The porch looked out onto a massive field with bison in it. The stars were so engulfing that you felt like you were being bathed in stardust! I have never felt so small and so engulfed in the beauty of our world as I did looking up into the sky! My kids two days later are still talking about it! We did an hour long horse back riding and my youngest got scared at the beginning he is 7. They had someone walk with him and talk him through it and by the end he was smiling, laughing, and trotting!!!! They have small gardens on property, horses, chickens, a rooster with his duck best friend, goats, miniature horses and a place for a fire! We had amazing meals while we were there and a truly exemplary time! None of us will ever forget this! This is worth every penny! It's not cheap but also not exorbitant! read more

Uhg. Cheesy, expensive "resort". The location is great but the experience is just not worth the pennies. The staff is generally younger and appears not to be well managed. Stay here only if every other logical hotels in the area are booked. read more

The only thing this place has going for it is the beauty. The owners obviously do not have any pride in their cabins and instead send out their employees to fix everything that breaks. We were here for 2 days and so many things went wrong with our cabin. The man who fixed everything ( Jerry) was very polite and quick to respond so that was another up side I guess. We were told by a young man named Jacob that the horses they have on land are very abused. I inquired as to why the Buffalo escaped so often and the same young man told me that they are starving. I do not recommend staying here. If they abuse the animals, appear to treat staff horribly a pretty view is not worth it. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner both days. The food was excellent but it did appear that the same staff was there all day? Everything was dirty in the dining room. Tables, floors, chairs. Overall I was unimpressed. read more
