Called in an order, but was told they stopped doing that (which is fine, I get it). Again, not the $$ - its like $20.00. But just the culture of a haphazard way to run a business/organization. (BTW - This person has no idea how long we have been customers :)) And we see it throughout now. I would expect that from a Dominos/ Pizza Hut etc., not from a community establishment. But anyway, just wanted to get the off my chest. There are many other options for pizza, but customer service is so important. My chicken cutlet had a large cut halfway across it. Possibly it was cut to see if it was done, but don't they have a meat thermometer? Maybe they figured that with a salad on top, the large cut wouldn't be seen? I noticed it though. Worst for me though was the vegetable side dish. Instead of a healthy vegetable, I was given a mushy, over-cooked Cauliflower covered in Buffalo Hot Sauce and butter. I'm guessing that they had made Buffalo Cauliflower for an appetizer another day, and had some leftover, so they decided to use it as a vegetable side? Hey, if I wanted leftovers, I'd have eaten at home. The waitress who never read us the specials also never came by to ask if everything was okay. I'd like it if someone at Ella's realizes that good customers can recognize when things are not up to the usual high standards. We notice when leftovers are served as side dishes. We notice when entrees are cut into. We don't enjoy being given tables with sun glare. We used to enjoy Ella's, and we hope that this was just an off day.
