George and his crew showed up at exactly 9A for a between 9-11 arrival. The earlier start suited us perfectly. The comms were very good to get coordinated. We did a walkthrough and reviewed paperwork and then it was down to business. All items packed and loaded by 10:30A. The destination was approximately 45-1hr drive. My husband and I chose Zip to Zip based on the seemingly positive reviews. We had such a horrible experience that we did a deep dive and found that others left negative reviews for very similar reasons to the following: - During the quote conversation, we told them about all of our furniture and an approximation of boxes. They showed up with a 500 cubic ft truck and said they'd need to take two trips. Terrible planning. - Quoted 4-5 hours, took 8 hours. Very inefficient. - We were quoted $1100-1300 and $350 for packing materials. We were told we'd have to pay once the truck was half unloaded. The total was $2400 with nearly $1000 of that being on packing materials. A gross underestimation and we had no choice but to pay to retake possession of our things. They also charge a 20% credit card fee. - Despite them asking multiple times if something was going and us responding "yes, everything is going", they left an 8x10 rug on the living room floor. We had to call them to come back and get it. - Used a ridiculous amount of boxes (rather than reusable padded blankets) for padding, shrink wrap and tape to blatantly drive up the cost of packing materials. - Folded up our expensive king mattress like a taco, wrapped the hell out of it with shrink wrap, then left it in the bedroom to go make the second trip without setting up the bed. My husband had to do so. - Despite wrapping everything, for some reason they did not wrap our ladder shelf at all, which now has a loose shelf and isn't stable. - Inverted the knobs on a cabinet to protect them but did not replace them the correct way upon completion of the move - Left us with all of the shrink wrap trash To sum it up, this was a truly awful moving experience. Zip to Zip was great to work with from start to finish. They are very responsive via all forms of contact- Yelp message, email, text, phone. They were upfront about rates & fees and suggested ways I could lower my cost, such as paying in cash and moving on a Sunday. Several days prior to the move I received confirmation texts and emails, which made me feel reassured that they would be reliable. I also text questions several times while packing and always got a quick and courteous response. The day of the move a team of 3 arrived within the promised timeframe. They very carefully wrapped up all of the furniture so that it was well protected, disassembled a treadmill and platform bed. They needed to take the basement door off in order to move some larger pieces, and they rehung it without issue. When we arrived at the new house, everything was unloaded with care not to bang up the walls or furniture. Overall, I would highly recommend zip to zip. I have used 3 different moving companies in the past, and this was my best overall experience. read more

They brought a large truck that fit our 2 bedroom worth of stuff and moved it in one shot instead of a smaller truck we are used to seeing from past movers that took 2 trips. Movers were hard working and courteous. Our move took 5 1/2 hours total as was anticipated. The move went smoothly as we had reserved 2 parking spots also from the city to make it easier. read more
