It's your typical greasy bar fare, and not exactly a highlight. So if you're heading there, I'd suggest snacking before or after. Go for the game-day atmosphere, not the meal. read more

Probably the worst fish n chips I've ever had in my life. McDonald's puts more effort into their fish sandwich than Zipps. The fish nuggets had awful batter and it all fell apart. The French fries were a mound of sogginess. I've had their BLT and that they make decent. There is too much inconsistency across the board. They should just remove this atrocity from the menu. Service is to the point and all business. Ambiance is loud it's a sports bar masquerading as day care for some folks. But some folks swear by this place and you either drink the punch and talk about how great it is or you don't. With Off 87 closed now they have no reason to raise the Bar and try to make it happen. read more

Lot of issues with this visit to Zipps. First, my party arrived about 10 minutes prior to the end of happy hour but it took 9 minutes for the waitress to get to us. I do appreciate her hustling to get the order in on time but I shouldn't have to worry about getting my order in on time. Furthermore, she did not seem to understand the happy drink prices which confused me. The waiter was nice but I will say he visited us too often. He also told my party that Zipps was busy that night because someone had called out and got fired. I'm nitpicking here but it just gives the impression of dysfunction. The highlight was the fried chicken club sandwich with the herb mayo. Honestly the reason I came in, so good. But everything else was not too good. I got a pepperoni and bacon slice and nearly have the crust on the bottom was gone? Toppings were falling off and it was very messy. And the onion rings just are not good here. I understand I could have raised my concern to the waiter and I'm sure Zipps would have brought me a new slice, but that doesn't change the lack of confidence I now have in this restaurant to supply me with a good time and good food. The food is MID and overpriced (what business charges extra for every side of ranch), it's LOUD, it's outdated, and service is either pretty good or REALLY bad. Simple dishes are always okay but anything more "complicated" on the menu is almost always cooked wrong or tasting weird. I ordered two orders of the golden mild wings and pickef them up, which is a 30 minute drive from my house and they were absolutely dry with no sauce on them. I called the restaurant. The manager said if I could not bring them back there was nothing he could do but I could call the corporate office. The least they could do is offer a coupon or something for my dissatisfaction. Standard bar food? Maybe but really substandard in our opinion. The overall experience was meh and I doubt we would return to be honest. First, we didn't realize (and we were not advised) that we arrived during happy hour so the beer was one price and when ordering a second, again nothing said to make us aware that the price was now $1.50 more. Not a big deal BUT great customer service would include keeping communication open with your customers and informing them of a change. Second reason for a 2 star...we get that things have changed since the pandemic BUT again...charging extra for some extra pickles for a burger? One order had wings with onion rings...the rings were not eatable...way way over fried and just bad that we sent them back to the kitchen. Tuna melt was an interesting sandwich, open faced and smothered in cheese although report was that the tuna was actually ok tasting. Cheeseburger and onion rings, with again, another order of overdone rings. Cheeseburger was good with a good tasting sauce on it. Lastly ordered the fish and chips, which I have to say the fish was good. Not greasy, a bit of thick crust but overall not a bad dish. The fries were soggy even though they were ordered extra crispy. The manager came buy to ask about the onion rings...nothing came of it but at least she heard how unsatisfied those who ordered them were. Hands down one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had. They sucker you into buying upsell items such as add ons for drinks, but after 3 cut you off. Mind you, we have been sitting for nearly 3+ hours hanging out watching the World Series and suns game on Halloween. The manager was a younger kid, completely rude and not understanding and tried to pull on over on us with the pricing of our check and a few other things. We have never felt so uncomfortable on what should've been a fun night out on Halloween. We will never be back, they need training in humility and speaking to people. 125 bucks wasted. read more

My mother has never been to Zipps before so I brought her to give it a try. Our server was Travis and he was decent. We ordered wings and 2 burgers, we asked for our wings to be extra crispy so he informed us it would be an additional 20 minutes. 1 hour goes by and our food is not ready at all. We asked Travis what is going on and he let us know that the entire kitchen staff is new, he said "Should I get my manager? It's been like this for weeks" we said "No, we would just like our food." Then Travis says "I understand how you feel being that you're hungover." We were not hungover. We told him we had a couple drinks last night so we don't want any today. I thought that was so rude of him to say that. We left with no food after an 1 hour wait. Just like he told us it would be an additional 20 minutes for crispy wings, he could have mentioned the staff if new and that the wait will be long since it's been like that for "weeks." "I recently visited this place on a football morning with a party of four. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were given the smallest table while plenty of larger tables were available around us. I understand if there are policies in place with it being football, but it was frustrating to be forced to split up and eat in pairs. We got there at 9 am. I brought this up to both the host and waitress, but they were dismissive and unwilling to accommodate us. It made us feel very outcasted, which was especially disappointing as we are generally easygoing. Even my young son noticed and commented on the situation! To make matters worse, other couples and solo diners were seated at larger tables with no issue. The food was another disappointment--the potatoes had several unlisted ingredients, which was unpleasantly surprising. We had left full plates of food because it couldn't be eaten and there was no concern, so we obviously just paid the bill anyways. Lastly, I noticed at least four waiters standing around, seemingly idle, while the host, who lacked warmth and professionalism, greeted guests. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience that didn't meet even basic expectations. 1. Nothing we ordered had any flavor or was worth the price. Cheese pizza was bland. Sweet potato chips were overcooked and bland. Nachos didn't have enough cheese and were bland. Chicken burrito was ok but gave my husband a stomache-ache after he ate only half of it. 2. We were overcharged. Tried ordering off the happy hour menu only to find out we ordered off the "late" happy hour menu instead of the "early" happy hour menu. Our eyes couldn't see that fine print. The waitress did not point out that there were different menus even though we looked at the menus with her and asked plenty of questions. 3. The manager did not care. 4. It's been a while since I've been to Zipps so I decided to drop in today. Service was fairly decent and was seated quickly. Ordered the steak rolls along on with a bbq bacon burger. Did not care for the steak rolls at all. I actually sent them back. The bbq bacon burger was really good and the fries were a little overcooked for me but not terrible. I really don't get all the negative reviews. I've consistently enjoyed my experience at Zipps. It's a sports bar and I'm not expecting high-end steakhouse. The burgers are great - the Cado with chicken is my usual, with a nice fresh side salad instead of fries. My hubby always gets half fries and half onion rings and I have a few. You can tell they are both freshly made - maybe some people don't like that? A Zipparita hits the spot or a nice cold beer. Never had a problem with their service either. read more

The service at this location is absolutely horrid. It seems like they hire extremely inexperienced people to get away with paying lower wages. I tried the wings, but something was off. The sauce they provided smelled like an old bottle of balsamic and it was supposed to be a buffalo. Additionally, the fries were very cold and most likely made the day before. I continue to return for the cocktails and sports atmosphere. Another visit and I will say that the service improved this go-round. If anything I was probably only disappointed with my meal as I order my usual bacon cheeseburger with half fries and onion rings. Unfortunately, the fries and onion rings were cold when it hit the table. I was going to send it back, but it would have meant everything as I add the onion rings to my burger... Oh no , what happened zipps! I think there must have been some major change here. If you like to drink a lot then come here and drink before eating so you don't care how the food tastes or about the lack of standard customer service. Employees take offense and give attitude when they get things wrong. Didn't find anyone really cared about doing a good job or providing customer experience. The food quality has gone down in the last several years. Specifically the chicken in the chicken dishes. Arrived and there was a wait ! No problem, I'm exited about the golden wings and chicken Monaco and the Ziprita . The host forgot us. I went Inside after an hour wait and was told we weren't on the list and after some insisting she flipped the page and realized we had been skipped. Luckily they were able to seat us within 10 minutes. Our order came out with a few wrong entrees. We advised the waitress and she said she would correct it. She never returned. At this point a manager was walking around and asked how everything was so I took time to tell him about our experience. The waitress with all her attitude walked over while we were speaking with the manager and in a very offensive tone asked if there was a problem. The food at this location is very inconsistent. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not. During this visit, we placed an oder for wings, requesting them extra crispy as we have done many times in the past. The wings came out soggy and chewy, so we requested them to be fried longer. The manager, Richard, agreed that their food is very inconsistent, but informed us that unfortunately, they can't fry them any longer than they had fried them, when in actuality, they were simply just unwilling to. We know this is the case because they have done so MANY times in the past. When my husband said exactly that to Richard, he responded that he 'guesses they can't make us happy' and walked away with the wings. Of course they took that order off the bill, but we ended up leaving the restaurant with several other unfinished drinks and food since they were unwilling to accommodate an order of crispy wings. Sadly, we will not be back due the lack of sheer rudeness and unprofessionalism from the manager, Richard, at this location. I ordered chicken wings as crispy as possible, 20 mins max per the server and they came out chewy with soggy skin. Sever asked "how are they" and I told him they were chewy and soggy and he said he will see what he could do for me, never heard from him again on the subject. I got a salad full of browned lettuce, I didn't complain just tried to eat some of it and when server picked up the plate didn't ask a word about why I didn't eat it. My ziparita was good .
