Just had a car wash for $12. The entire back of the car was dry. Didn't even get wet - completely untouched by the car wash. Sides/front got wet, but bottom 10% of car not wet either - still dirty. Vacuums were out of order as well. read more

Low-quality car wash, pricy but comparable to other car washes in the area. Zips Car Wash is easy to find and navigate. As soon as I pulled up to the self-pay kiosk, an employee came out to assist me. This seemed unnecessary and he recommended their current offers multiple times. I don't live close enough to this location to make it worth it so I was annoyed having to decline multiple times. I would have preferred to use the kiosk myself. After paying, one employee waited at the entrance to pre-wash my car. At comparable car washes, they have two employees directing cars and pre-washing them. The car wash itself is short so it's quicker than other comparable car washes. It did wash my car okay, but did not dry it well. After leaving the car wash, I parked by the vacuums. Only half of the vacuums I parked beside worked. Overall, my car looks clean, however, I likely will not return to this car wash. read more

I started going to Zips in March of 2022 and was asked each visit I went if I wanted to join their membership program. I finally relented in September so when I called to cancel in November you can imagine my surprise to find out that I've been paying for not one but two $35 memberships since March for cars I don't own. Be weary of handing a card to these folks because they'll probably sign you up for a membership you didn't purchase. That being said I hate for one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch, and many of the young kids working there went out of there way to assist me when I needed it. Update: Zips customer service has informed me of their "no refunds, no exceptions" policy so I was forced to go through my credit card company. I stopped by the location to talk to the manager who promised to call me back but did not; so tonight I filed charges with the police. This kind of thing has never happened to me, but the most astonishing part of this experience has been how little management and corporate cares about the incident. Technician scratched my hood with the wand of the pressure washer. When i complained the manager took my name and took pictures and said the owner would be in touch. Paid $16 for a very quick and low quality car wash. The pre-wash was only sprayed on half the car. After the wash, the car, the bumpers and the rims were still dirty. The drying time was short and did not dry the car very much. Half of the vacuums did not work and the other half were barely functional. We still have to do a bunch of cleaning on the car. Terrible car wash experience. Zips needs to care about the quality of the service they deliver to their customers. Had much better service under American Pride. read more

Can't really complain about a complimentary car wash for Veterans. Is it perfect? No, it's never going to be as good as a real detailed washing, but for a 3 minute machine scrub, it serves the purpose. Kudos for them for honoring our well deserved veterans! read more

I went to get my car washed today and was told they didn't recognize the sticker for my membership. I told them it's the same one that has been working ever since I started my account. The guy was extremely rude and treated me like I was lying. He didn't offer to help me with my membership he made me back out with 2 cars behind me. I will NEVER do business with this place again. Let me just say this is the worst place by far. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE and WILL DO ALL I CAN TO HAVE IT CLOSE. I went there yesterday, after having my car serviced at Westgate Dodge. This was the wrong choice. When I arrived there, I was greeted by Robert. Robert was excellent and his attitude toward the customers is fantastic. I signed up for the trial basis but had planned to cancel and go back to RIPTIDE in Wakefield. Well, let's get right to the point. Once my car was leaving the wash tunnel, I proceeded to dry off my vehicle. I went to the passenger rear, and that's when I saw my back tail light cracked and a big hole. Then on the back tail end of the passenger was a cantaloupe size dent with the pant missing and scratch severely down to the surface. I was upset when I saw it and asked Robert to come over. I said, "Look at what the car wash did to my vehicle. Robert immediately called over Julian, the manager, and that's when everything to a turn for the worse. Julian insisted that my car was damaged at Leith Westgate Dodge and that I was not telling the truth. THIS IS WHEN I BECAME UPSET. I explained that my 2020 Dodge Durango had a complete walkover because I was making plans to get a new vehicle. The only damage to my vehicle was a scuff mark on the bumper that was not bad and was scheduled to be buffed out. I explained that my service advisor does a walk-over when I arrived for service and before I left because were discussing my trading and upgrading. Because of me being upset. Julian proceeded to yell at me which became a shouting match where he threatened to call the police on me and have me removed and banned from ZIP. I could not believe this!!!!!! Julian never apologized and never helped me fill out the incident report. KUDOS to Robert!!!! Who not only helped me but admitted to me that the damage was fresh because when he rubbed his hand over the dent, paint was on his hand and mine and was coming off the vehicle. I can truly say that I have never experienced anything like this before. Once the manager saw I was not backing down, he walked off to go detail his own vehicle. No empathy was shown for me, the customer, and I was told by the manager, that this is why"Black Women, and our people, and then, walked off. Once I finished the incident report, Robert, helped me take a clear front and back pic of the incident report. I still was in disbelief at this incident. So I made a police report with Wake Forest PD, which spoke to the manager and service advisor at Westgate Dodge, to confirm my vehicle had no dent or busted tail light. BEWARE!!!!! Why would anybody buy this ?? Took my truck to the Wake Forest was end up with bad scratches on both sides and the tailgate was told to come in so they could take pictures 2 days later so I did. Heard back after a week saying a claim was failed nothing for over 2 month then finally get the area managers number, he then gives me the store managers number. After calling store manager 3 times he finally answers and said he would call me back around midday. As you guessed finally got a call at 3:30/4 pm by another person (assistant manager) and said that they reviewed the tape and the claim was denied. Why would you take pictures and say that the brushes from the wash probably caused it and then say no it didn't ?? Beware use these wash the will damage you car and now I'm out $300/$400 just to have it buffed out hopefully that will cover most of the damage. read more

Unbelievably bad. I don't get on and write reviews and maybe I should when I am getting good service but this place needs to go out of business. There is a 30% chance that it will be open and when it is they have the worst employees and terrible service. They upped the price and took away almost everything. Why pay for a membership when it is close to 70% of the time?? there are broken pallets from machines that they brought in that have been sitting there for months and the employees just sit in the office and do nothing. The car mat machine has been broken for almost a year and no one even bothers to fix it. When the vacuums break or the handles fall off they just sit there and the employees leave them on the ground. Half of the vacuums don't even work and the vacuum doesn't get cleaned out but once every six months. skip this place and go to Sam's express which is a nice new car wash just down the street and it actually works. read more

This time I went I paid 13 dollars it ran me thought the wash in 2 minutes didn't spray my car with anything that I paid extra for and the dryer didn't even come on at the end. This was my favorite car wash, until, I needed customer service. They would not rewash my car or honor what I was told by an employee. I stopped on the way to church. I discovered that one wheel was not clean even though I paid extra for wheel cleaning. Because I had to go straight to church I did not see the grime still on my wheel. The manager on duty did not care or even bother to look. He just had the nerve to ask if I still wanted to pay again for another wash. This is the worst case of non service I have encountered in a very long time. I drove by the new car wash in Wake Forest to use this one, but not any more . If you are looking for a carwash that will have your car looking like it is brand-new and for a low cost, then this is the place to go. They have 6 options to choose from such as $6 for your basic wash and if you want to get fancy a $15 option. I chose the $12 option premium but will probably get the $10 option next time since there isn't much difference between the two. Only set back here is that you may have to wait about 15-20 minutes in line if the second lane isn't open. Overall, way better than the average gas station car wash and it is brushless/touchless. read more

The manager yelled at me for being in the wrong 'spot'. When I said 'ok' he thought I said something else and walked back to my car demanding 'what did you say??' I drove away. There is another place just like this one but cheaper and nicer down the road called 'sam's express' on Rogers rd. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. I recently cancelled my membership of $21.44 as I was moving. I had been taking my new Mercedes there for the past 5 months. I was recently charged $21.44 for July even though I cancelled. When calling customer service on the day the automatic charge was charged to my account a woman named Carla refused to reverse the payment because she didn't have any record of the cancellation. I remind you this would be for the following month usage and I wouldn't be using the car wash and I previously was told my the location manager the account would be closed before the next billing. Its obvious that Carla feels the $21.44 was more important than customer service. Carla without saying said I was lying and that she didn't care what I said she was charging me. When told she would have the owner called me I of course never got a call back. I definitely could spare the $21.44, but why would some lie about cancelling over that amount? Doesn't make any good business sense and this only means American Pride must be cutting corners not only internally, but on the products they try to sell their customers.
