Visited here from CA to see family. Zips just hits the spot with every visit. Not a lot of choices in Suncrest, BUT so glad Zips is here, it's my go to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Biscuits and gravy were good, the burgers are just way better than Micky D's, and the fries with their different sauces, YUMMO! Staff is always nice, and are regularly cleaning tables. This Zips is a well run restaurant. It's always clean and the staff always seem to be upbeat. I've usually come here for breakfast...yes, breakfast. They do table service every morning and it is excellent. Guaranteed you won't leave hungry as everything here is on the very large size. The breakfast burrito is the size of my forearm and it is stuffed with goodness. It's also just $10 and worth every penny. Eggs, waffles, bacon, it's all very good. How this pace isn't packed every morning is beyond me. Clearly word hasn't gotten out. read more

I have always loved Zips fish and chips some of the current locations no longer have the same fish. This was excellent today same as I have been getting at Zips for 50 years plus. I have tried two other Zips recently that have commercially frozen fish. Very poor in my estimation. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and well-staffed. Every time I come to this zips, I swear I won't be back. This time, it's because I wanted onion rings but no drink. The cashier convinced me to get a meal (despite me already having said no to it), because I could get a "free" drink. It seemed easier to agree than to fight. Not only was the combo upcharge as much as the onion rings, they also tacked on $2.50 for an upcharge from fries to onion rings! So they were more expensive than had he taken my order the way I wanted. Besides that, it wasn't explained that the chicken strips (not popcorn chicken like other zips) had fries. Had I known, I wouldn't have gotten the onion rings at all! On top of that, they charge 4% for card transactions, which is higher than the top 3% charge credit processing companies charge (I worked in that industry). On top of ALL THAT, they had 5 people up at the front and none of them helped me, they waited for the kid who was cleaning in the back to come up, AND A FLY wouldn't leave me alone while I ate and angrily wrote this review. We love this zips. Several of the girls that work there are super so nice and the service is great. Sometimes it is slower but that's because the food is made fresh. I was shocked at the comment I saw about the "lady wearing a tank at the fryer" sounds like the poster was insecure about herself and came across very stuck up and entitled. She obviously has never worked in a kitchen in the summer. Doubtful you would servive the fryer in a sweater in July! Also the man that left likely left because it was busy. You can hardly see in the kitchen I know this because we go there weekly for breakfast. You would have to be bent over looking in to see the fryer. It's a shame that entitled stuck up insecure women post things like this about small businesses. read more

After asking about the specials I was told things like, "the bacon burger meal is on special, as well as papa Joe's and 4 cheeseburgers" no prices on anything . I ordered a bacon burger and medium fries for $14. I waited a very long time and what I got was pathetic. A "burger" that had more lettuce than meat, both bacon and hamburger were way overcooked. The most pathetic part was the super thin overcooked patty of meat they give you. How much did that weigh before you cooked it ? Two ounces?? So you basically have to order a burger w multiple patties to taste the meat. That'll probably cost $12 just for a hamburger, no thanks. Not at a fast food place read more

I went to ZIPS for some food tonight and I was pleasantly very surprised at the customer service I received from a young man named Charles . I really feel like he went above and beyond to create an amazing experience he was smiling polite respectful helpful and very thorough . He listened to me talk even though it had nothing to do with my order . He did not cut me off he was not rude he did not rush me. I asked him about the living environment out here in 9 Mile and instead of just you know saying oh it's whatever he actually explained it to me and it was nice and it's very few and far between that you actually get that . So thank you Charles for creating a atmosphere that made me proud to be a part of society today because normally I'm pretty disappointed in people . You made a comment that it was your first job you're doing amazing with this being your first job . More responsible than your years! Now on to a second part apparently this place is just beaming with great employees because I called in to talk to the manager about what had happened and her name is Franny . She was also very polite I did kind of feel like in the beginning when she said hello that she thought I was going to say something bad but by the end of the conversation she was smiling you could hear in her tone and she appreciated the call . My family and I try to support local businesses. This one is a gem, it not only has the usual burger menu that all zips has but we often get the breakfast's which are wonderful. The majority of Zips don't have. Also has fast friendly service too. Dine in or dine out it's same quality food. read more

The absolute worst drive thru I have ever experienced. I have eaten there many times and the food is average. I can deal with that, after all it is a fast food hamburger joint. What I cannot deal with is the drive-through and the Service through the drive-through. I quite literally had to wait 25 minutes to get to the window to get my Melted ice cream. We were stuck behind one car that had a very large order and instead of asking that car to pull ahead and let all the other cars continue to get their order, (like they do at every other drive thru) I sat there at the window for 25 minutes! When I finally got to the window, they handed me my ice cream, which had clearly been put in the cup at least 10 minutes prior, so it was literally ice cream soup. It was dripping and got all over my car! Unfortunately, I have have stupid enough to have been stuck in this drive thru at least twice before behind these huge orders. I called the manager when I got home and her response, " I tell people only getting ice cream to just come inside" ok so how would I know that when I order? How is that the solve to holding up all cars for one? I can't go around any cars and get out of line with this drive thru, you are trapped. When I got off the phone I was even more irritated. I live in Suncrest and will stay home and eat toast before I ever give another dime to that Zips!!! read more

Well I must say I called about the poor service that I had back in mid December they said they would write it down and sure enough I called and they redeemed themselves I spoke to a gentleman named Tyler who I believe to be the owner and he said it would be no problem and the order was spot on in a timely manner with extra fry sauce and tartar included with the burgers and fries and sour cream and salsa with my delicious taco salad as well read more

Monday 8:30 pm long wait 22 mins . Just got ice cream and milkshake ran out of chocolate ice cream for the last cone . And there was a hair in the ice cream cone. I am only giving them four stars just because I think they are a little pricey for a drive-thru hamburger place. Although I have to say I've never had anything that wasn't good. I think for the price of a hamburger that it should come with everything and lettuce tomatoes onions etc. instead of just meat and bun. Usually when I'm at a zips I think it's overpriced. "This" Zips hamburger patties actually surprised me. Might be my new favorite Zips.

I rarely give poor reviews, but I am very disappointed in the customer service (or lack there of) I received tonight. I pulled up to the drive thru a few minutes before 9pm. As I sat there waiting for a few minutes, the light on the sign is turned off. I pulled around to go inside. No one acknowledged me, just went about their business. One person was putting a sticky note on the drive thru window while saying "I just don't want to talk to anyone, so I put a sticky note with a sad face on it in the window". Finally, someone from the kitchen look over at me and said "yes". And i asked if I could still order. She said "no we closed at 9 (mind you, it's 9:02). I told her I had been waiting in the drive through line when someone turned out the lights on the sign. She said "yeah?" There were several (at least three while I was there) who tried to order as well. I have been in customer service for a long time and was a small business owner for 11 years. If I had a customer come as I was starting to close, I let them in because they are the reason I have my job. I realize fast food is a little different, but if someone had said at the drive through order line "so sorry, we are already closed" or if someone had acknowledged me when I walked in and said "I'm so sorry, we are closed" - that is respectfully. But the unprofessional behavior from the employees has left such a bad impression, with all of the other options in suncrest, I don't think I will be back. Good news travels fast, bad news travels twice as fast. Very disappointed. read more

We went by for breakfast this morning and I must say I could not have been more impressed. The young man handling the orders, I believe his name to be Tyler, did everything above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. The food was delicious and though it was a bit pricy, you got a lot of food for your money, so in the end it was well worth it. The food was hot and delicious and the service was beyond exceptional. This Place isn't local, but if your from eastern WA, you've been to or at least driven by a Zip's. I love this little yellow chain. In Spokane there not so little(about one on every other corner). The one out on highway 291 is by far the best. It's very clean, friendly staff and they have homemade cinnamon rolls. I mean BIG ones. The burgers are made the old way. What's"s cholesterol? I highly recommend the Big Zipper and a bucket of fries. The big burgers come on a hoagy type roll and they seem to taste better then a round burger. I say welcome to the lake. read more

This is the nicest Zips I visited on my recent Spokane vacay. We went to three or four all together. The food was pretty consistent. This one had a special double cheeseburger, fries and drink for $5.00. The price is right and the burgers and fries are good. Fry sauce is pretty good. Could be a little more tart. The restroom at this one has the most unusual toilet paper dispenser. If nothing else, stop and check that out. amiright? read more

Ordered a Double Papa Joe Burger was beyond sloppy, and I wasn't able to eat it. Looking at this burger ended all thought I had about eating this day. I will not eat today because of this burger. The Burger drooled at me. It drooled on my clothes. It drooled on the floor. When I returned the Grease Pot with a side of bun, I was informed that they could not refund the order. They did not have a manager on site. They could not reach a manager to complete a refund. The employee agree'd that it was bullcrap, refunded the cost of the meal from his own pocket. Yes, you heard that right folks. A Part-Time Employee making Min Wage made the situation right, while the managers and owners were not even able to be contacted. I don't think this employee will be reimbursed the $5.60 of the meal, or the $6 that he paid me directly. Yes, It is listed as $5.60 in store. Their Menu here lists it at $4.60. Wife Paid $9+ for an order of fish & chips as well. She didn't order a double, Should have been $6.99 + tax. Over-Charged both times! Price Gouging at it's finest folks! We ate breakfast here one day and have been back three times this week! This place is better than Cracker Barrel. Their biscuits are good. They split them in half, did them in butter and then toast them on the grill. The biscuits and gravy are great! Thick gravy with a complex flavor. The chicken fried steak is huge, flavorful and the breading is crisp and light. The french toast is amazing also. Lots of flavor and a good syrup, unlike McD's garbage. Even the wheat toast is a high quality bread with seeds. I never thought I would enjoy breakfast at a fast food place, but the great food and friendly people changed my mind.
