    French dip sandwich
    Nancy T.

My favorite item on the menu. Love the French dip. Consistently good. Flavorful au jus and the house made vinaigrette with the side house salad is so good!

Seattle omelet! Prosciutto, smoked Gouda, tomato--drizzled with pesto. Can't be beat!

I've been enjoying the South Hill Grill for years. Between the breakfast, the delicious burgers and the sushi selections you can't go wrong. But today I tried the new mushroom ravioli with brown butter.mizithra and it was very, very good. They gave me a side of Alfredo and a side of the miziithra butter. IWhen you combine them, it's a magical experience.

    Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast

We came here mid-morning on a Sunday and it wasn't crazy busy. We were seated right away at a tall table, which was fine with us. The staff were friendly and the place was kept clean throughout our visit. Pricing isn't terrible in today's market either. The pancakes were excellent and eggs cooked to order. The chicken fried steak was also very good. I asked for my potatoes to be extra crispy and they were done exactly right. It is pretty loud inside so if you're coming with someone that has a hard time hearing, that could be an issue. Overall, a very nice breakfast.

Poke sale is amazing , fresh fish, good portion ,mixed fish would definitely recommend it !!!!!

It wasn't what I expected... I was looking for a healthy option and ordered the hummus with vegetables. The cukes and bell pepper were fresh but the carrots! They appeared to have been cut days earlier and were all dried out, neatly hidden under the hummus bowl. It was disappointing because I love carrots, and it's not that hard to keep them so they look appetizing. The hummus looked exactly like super chunky peanut butter. And the pita bread was fried, the chips were too thick and hard, very difficult to enjoy. (The menu DID say they'd be fried, so that one is on me.) I lost my appetite. To be fair, one of my seat mates had the chicken pot pie and declared it "good." The other ordered the pork chop and loved it. Maybe next time I'll get the pork chop :-( Three stars.

Lots of TVs and high tops and a laid attitude

My black and blue burger was pretty good. Very tasty. Very juicy. Good they served it with a knife. Our Pretty Woman sushi roll was good. Very artistic on the plating. My wife's salad look good... Which brings us to the reason for 5 stars: the menu has something exciting for everybody. Service was friendly and professional. We were there mid-afternoon. Not too crowded. Good news: we got happy hour pricing on the beer! But, I can also believe that it can get really loud.

Sashimi dinner and salmon roe with quail egg ,amazing food and service, would recommend to anyone

Great service service ,amazing food and fresh fish everyday ,love this place great variety of different food

    Original location.

This is one of those places, I didn't think I'd like, but I did. A friend suggested we meet there. It was noisy and crowded and we had to wait to get a table. But we soon found out why it was so crowded. The food is excellent and the menu offers some good old fashioned American dishes that you often don't find much anymore. First time we went they were in their old location. Second time was in their current one. Both times I had the Chicken Pot Pie and I absolutely loved it. The place has a fun vibe, but I would not recommend it for quiet conversation, but for great food in a fun atmosphere, it is great. We will go back.

Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

They are like overly fancy, to the max pickle. I'm not saying it's a pickle, because they are not "pickled", but, but, how do I say it....fresh, crunchy, tasty, with a good "kick". The flavor is abundant. The pepper lingers on your tongue after you finish. Glory! Try it with a beer. I'm telling you. You will be satisfied with this starter. This is all I ate. I'm losing weight. Have to look good for my new lady. BTW- great ambiance. Large hole-in-wall. Dimly lit. People talking. Not loud. Good energy. Lots of different kind of whiskey. And other spirits. 4 good beers on tap. Several imported or mico-brew beers. Full bar. Wine, etc. Staff is pleasant and efficient. I had my dish 3 minutes after ordering. Like busy bees. Kitchen is wide open for viewing. I like that touch. TV at the bar. Two high chair sections, one at the bar. Lots of seating. Good temperature in the restaurant. I like this place. That's probably the highlight of the whole experience. I started with the Cheshire Cat mocktail, which was a bit oversweet for me. For main course, I had sea bass for $48 (pan-seared fish served with onion-potato gnocchi, charred asparagus, mushrooms, and asparagus coulis). It was decent, but the portion felt small for the price. Salmon rillette ended up being the best dish! It was rich, savoury, and delicious when paired with pickled onions (the bread was slightly burnt - I hated it). Ended the meal with a vanilla gelato dessert - just okay, not too wow. The restaurant was so packed and seemed understaffed, so service took forever. I left feeling a bit disappointed, especially after looking forward to it so much
