I love Zito's pizza and enjoy the 2 other locations in Orange. My experience at this location was not as great as the five-star experience I usually have at the other locations. There was only one other party in the restaurant when we went and our food took a long time to arrive. I had to go to the bar 3 times to ask about the beer we ordered and they kept telling me it was coming. They also took our appetizer to the other party and promised to remove it from our bill, which they did not. Zito's pizza is usually the best and this time the pizza was off. We ordered double pepperoni and there were some slices with only one piece in them. The salads and other food was good though, which is why I still gave it three stars. I think it was due to the kids that were there running the show. They seemed as if they did not know what they were doing. I think they needed some kind of manager there and if one of the staff that was there was a manager, this location could be in trouble. The staff were polite at least, but I feel like they did not have an over handle on the operation. I will probably avoid this location and visit the other two. read more

I admit I had never really tried Zito's since moving here to Orange in 2020 from LA County. So my wife and I had been looking for a good pizza place with good buffalo wings and boy did we find it in Zito's. Their ranch compliments the wings perfectly. On top of that, I find the staff approachable and helpful when I need it, if there's ever an issue, they've been a great help and it's a great place to stay and eat when there's a game on either on Sunday or lately with the baseball playoffs. read more

So glad I came here for lunch today. I was craving a meatball sandwich and a a salad, but didn't want a full sandwich or full salad. I was hoping to find a place that had a lunch special that was perfectly portioned. I did some research and found Zitos, which is about 10 min from my work. There is a variety of lunch specials to choose from. I loved the sandwich and the salad. You can tell the meatballs are not from a bag. They were so flavorful and juicy. The bread was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and there was plenty of cheese and sauce. This really was a perfect meatball sub. I LOVED the salad. I love traditional salads that pile on the mozzarella. The italian dressing was also amazing. I will be a regular now and order this special from time to time. I'd also love to bring my husband here for a date. I'd like to try the pizzas and the penne bake. The beer and wine are also greatly priced, so I'd definitely love to come back when I can enjoy some drinks. The service was friendly, and the pizza parlor is big and spacious. Zitos on Chapman in orange really let me down. I placed an order at 7:15 for delivery and an hour and 20 mins went by and it hadn't got here so I called and the manager said she was sorry that the driver had gotten lost and because of the rain she said she would personally deliver it. Which is all good but I never got a call letting me know that all that had happen I had to call otherwise who knows when they would of. I then called back because another 20 mins went by and another lady said that it was the drivers fault because the person who took my order should let me know they were behind and it would take longer then usual I told well someone is lying because I was told that the driver got lost she said she would of give me free garlic knots next time lol my pizza wings and garlic nuts got here but extremely cold!!! Ugh. It was a simple Turkey sandwich and it's the second time they made it with the heels of the bread, didn't bother to pull the stems off the pepperoncinnis and did not bother to cut it. It's a simple SANDWICH! The quality of food and customer service has gone downhill fast at this Zitos . The pizza isn't as good as it was a couple years ago. I pass this place all the time and finally decided to try it. We got a standard pepperoni pizza and chicken strips. These are 2 foods that I love even when they don't taste that great and I really just didn't enjoy them here. The pizza was just bland, it could have been an off day but I'm just being honest. The chicken strips were just gross, I'm sorry, but the inside of them and the texture was just bleh. This place is fine for after a sporting event with the kids and the whole team. You're so hungry anything probably tastes good, plus there's games for the little ones and beer for the adults. Last month I ordered pizza headed back to work to find out they didn't even cut it. I was at my office and had to tear my pizza apart for my co workers which wasn't pleasant. Called and they only offered 15% off next visit. I wasn't too happy about how the situation was handled. Then Steve Silverstein reaches out to me and made up for the unpleasantries. He is a very professional and takes time out of his busy schedule to ensure customer are having the pleased with their visit to his establishment. I came back today to give it another shot and my experience made up for the last time, service was great and employees were friendly and helpful. We stumbled upon this place a couple of weeks ago and got the meat lover to-go, totally loved it. My husband, toddler son and I went back today and ordered the same thing to-go. The cashier told me it would take 25 minutes so we went and enjoyed ourselves at Pandora nearby for that amount of time. Upon returning, there was no pizza. After awhile, she did acknowledge my presence but no one checked on the pizza. It took an additional 25 minutes of waiting for someone to go "search" for it and retrieve it from the back shelf. I asked the cashier how long it had been there, she said "Just a few minutes, actually". Considering we were #69 and they were processing #83 at that moment, I don't think so. The pizza was already lukewarm when she handed it to me, and now I'm eating lumpy cold pizza as I type. Do mistakes happen? Yes. Are there worse things than cold pizza? Yes. But is accountability important? Always. I would rather have been told the truth along and given an apology rather than a dishonest excuse. Discoverd Zito's 10 years ago and always had high praise for their pizza and customer service but after being forgotten while waiting for a "to go" order and receiving a like warm pizza it looks like we won't be eating here anymore. The young cashier knew she blew it and didn't attempt to rectify the problem in any way. I wasn't going to force an apology out of her. All she had to do was apologize for the incredibly long wait and offer to reheat the pizza. Instead, she let me leave with an inferior product. The staff working on November 2nd at 7pm were unsanitary when making the food. I noticed that 2 staff members were making bread knots. The younger male kept wiping his hands onto his jeans and going back to making the knots. The younger woman standing next to him would pull her phone out of her pocket, text, then go back to making knots. We all know that our phones are probably one of the dirtiest things we use on a daily basis and the fact that she would text then go back to making knots was disgusting. She also would wipe her hands on her jeans and sweatshirt often. So often that you can see 2 huge white marks from the pizza dough going across her legs on her jeans. I even saw her blow on her finger nails to get whatever is under them out and go back to the kitchen to make more food. Zito's, please get your staff to wear gloves when making food.
