I really didn't believe anyone when they told me before that you could fall asleep during acupuncture, but I did under Zoe's care! I really appreciate Zoe's gentle demeanor. She's very down-to-earth and made you feel listened to and cared for before each session. I've gone to a handful of practitioners, and the needles Zoe uses almost felt like nothing to me. I'm not sure if it's the type of needles she used or her way of inserting them, but any hesitation I had about the sensation was incredibly minimized given how easy the set-up was. It's pleasant to hear the nearby train rolling by, and as I mentioned, I often fell asleep. The waiting area includes books, water, and tea. It was easy to schedule each follow-up appointment either online or after a session. I would greatly recommend going to Zoe if you are looking for acupuncture. The first session, which included a consult, was $100, and each subsequent 1-hour session was $70.

But even after dysport, that one eye had no difference, even after 1-2 months and following appropriate post treatment recommendations. So results were asymmetrical. 2 mo post treatment I contacted the DA number via text to update my injector, maybe I needed more units to that one side or maybe placement was off and they said they'd let her know to get back to me to discuss. I followed back after 2-3 weeks since I never heard back from Rachel so I texted them again and received similar response. 2 mo after first reaching out, I have not heard from Rachel. As a health care provider it is difficult getting time off for an appointment to follow up with the same injector so I might have to go back to the Elk Grove office now (although it seemed that the dysport was too diluted there initially)

Destination Aesthetics has been helping me stay looking younger for over a year now. What initially felt like an insecure, over-the-top male indulgence has become a simple quarterly routine, made comfortable and easy by Veronica. Even though I only see her every three months for Botox touch-ups, she always remembers me and treats me like a valued client. Every visit, she is diligent, precise, and takes the time to make sure everything is done correctly. It never feels like she's just trying to rush through another appointment or get me in and out the door. On top of her professionalism and attention to detail, Veronica is genuinely friendly, personable, and makes the entire experience comfortable. And for those who are nervous about needles, don't worry--she'll hand you a stress ball and use a little fan that somehow makes the whole experience feel a lot less dramatic. If you're considering Botox and want someone who truly cares about her clients and takes pride in her work, I highly recommend Veronica and Destination Aesthetics.

I've been seeing Dr. Angell for years at this point, so clearly I'm all in on this place. I'll…read moreshopped around a lot before settling on trying out this clinic, and it was the only place that made me feel comfortable and like I wasn't about to be taken for a ride. Dr. Angell doesn't care about making money off of you. She cares about your aesthetic goals, and the best way for you to achieve them, even if it would mean a loss for her. I went in initially for a lip flip and forehead Botox, and she essentially said she could do it, but I'd get the best results from a lip lift, which is surgical and permanent. Every other clinic I went to told me that I'd need 4-8 units for the flip and 1.5-2 vials of filler to get the results I wanted, which is just an obvious cash grab. Dr. Angell and her staff actually listened to me, understood what I wanted, and didn't try to oversell me on anything. That was enough to cement that this is the place for me. There are so many other reasons to love this place. The decor is tasteful, it's always clean, the staff is SO nice, and my results are always perfect. I've had issues with Botox migrating in the past, and that has NEVER happened here. I've also never even bruised, even when I decided to dabble in lip filler. It also doesn't feel like you're in a sterile doctor's office (even though you technically are in a doctor's office), and I feel like I'm just talking to my friends. The last thing I'll touch on is my incredibly horrible needle fear. I know it's strange to get injectables when you have a full-blown panic attack getting your flu shot, but I'll tell you, these people take CARE of you. My first appointment, I was literally sweating, crying, and on the edge of passing out, but they literally held my hand throughout and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I know it seems silly, but I've never felt more supported in a medical setting. The laughing gas doesn't hurt either, but I'm so comfortable there now, I don't even need it and don't cry! So, it's a little bit of exposure therapy tossed in as a freebie! I know this is long, but I could seriously go on forever about how amazing this place is. If you try it out, you will end up with amazing NATURAL results. I'll close it off with a story. I seriously won a bet at a dinner party when a gal who was talking about celebrities with cosmetic enhancements said, "Everyone who gets stuff done is so obvious. I can tell immediately." I mentioned that work is only obvious when it's bad, but good work is something you'd never notice. I bet her that she couldn't tell who had gotten anything done at the table. She guessed the people with obvious work, but I wasn't on her list. She said, "You just look young because you have great skin." I literally had to show her my receipts to prove it. Part of me thinks she still doesn't believe it, but that's the kind of practitioner you want in your life.

Horrible. Avoid at all costs... they ruined my face and my eyes are extremely hallow now…read more. I had RF microneedling done here and experienced concerning changes to my face afterward. I left a review on Google and the provider contacted me a month later and called me, but during the call she repeatedly interrupted me and did not seem interested in understanding my concerns. She asked me to send photos and said she would call me back on Monday after reviewing them. I sent the photos as requested and never received a call back. After waiting, I followed up myself. Instead of a phone call or any meaningful discussion, I received a brief message stating: "Thank you for sending your photos. They have been documented and reviewed. No further action is necessary." There was no explanation, no in-person evaluation, no follow-up care offered, and no attempt to address my concerns or provide support after a cosmetic procedure I paid for. Regardless of outcome, patients deserve to be heard, taken seriously, treated with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I would strongly encourage anyone considering RF microneedling or other procedures to carefully consider the level of post-treatment care and support they may receive. This is not how ethical providers handle unhappy RF microneedling outcomes, especially when a patient clearly feels harmed.

I had my first visit in February. It was literally my first visit to a med spa and I really wanted…read moreto try microneedling with prf and undereye prf. My visit was fine. It matched my expectations. I had paid for my services online ahead of time. I was told not to do that again because they can meet or beat the price in the center. Cool. I pre-paid for 3 more sessions. My overall goal was to do a monthly session for all of 2026 and then space them out to every other month in 2027 to reach my goals. My sessions in March and April were uneventful. I did notice that whenever I had the "salesperson" from my first visit, my total for undereye prf was more expensive. But, whatever. I also bought on a few add-ons that were recommended. Such as the tinted sunscreen, anica gel, and face masks. My last visit was booked for May. I work a 15 min drive away. I always leave 30 min ahead of time to account for traffic, the parking garage and all that. I did the same in May. Unfortunately, there was an accident on the freeway. Traffic was completely stopped. I called the number in the confirmation texts and let them know I would likely be 15-20 minutes late. I explained I totally understood if I had to reschedule. But, I didn't want to keep driving there if I wasn't going to be seen. I could get off at the next exit and just go home. First, they couldn't find my appointment. Then, after a brief hold, they did. They said it was absolutely not a problem at all. They would see me soon and to be safe. I arrived. Parked on the third level of the parking garage, tried to open the door and it was locked. I then ran down three flights of stairs and then up the elevator. I stood behind a couple of ladies checking in, and interrupted the ladies working's conversation to check in. Immediately they said I was 22 minutes late and would not be seen. I said I called, they left a note. The lady said that was the call center and they don't get to determine that, but she'd talk to her manager. After a few minutes, she came back and said the manager said no to microneedling (my prepaid service), but could do under eye. I said no thank you and said that was incredibly frustrating that their back of house is wasting my time. Eventually, the manager was available, after I could see her watching the conversation from the hallway. She explained that I could possibly still do partial services, if we rushed to the back right now. I explained I didn't want rushed services or partial, but I did want to communicate that there should be a better system in place. I don't think she was actually listening. Eventually she said I could do microneedling, but it would be a long wait. So, we went from rushed to waiting (which I normally do here anyways). She said she was willing to offer this because I was upset. I declined. I confirmed my prepaid services were transferable. She offered a credit on my account to compensate for my experience. I booked my services at the Walnut Creek location. There was no credit added to my account. And, truly, this experience on Alhambra ended up being a blessing. The experience at the other location felt luxurious. It felt genuine. It was like night and day. While I haven't decided yet if I'm on the search for an entirely new provider or not, I know for certain, this location for sure lost my business.
