I was stressed, suffering from horrible sciatica and struggled with infertility. I call this place magic because it really has done amazing things for me, it cured my back-pain when nothing else could, it's brought me peace and relaxation and MOST of all I truly believe it helped me become a mother of two beautiful amazing little boys. I felt at home as soon as I met Zoe. She is very thorough and has a very welcoming personality. In the consultation meeting, we talked about 30 minutes about my lifestyle and what brought me to accupuncture. She then explains what to expect with the treatment. While I was having my treatment, she talked through everything she was doing and answered my questions along the way. The bed is heated and she puts a heater on my feet during the treatment, which I love because my feet are always so cold. It is a very relaxing experience and I always nap once she has placed all of the needles and leaves me to relax. Her office is in the purple victorian right next to Bows and Arrows, across from Safeway. I love the victorian, it's warm and comfortable and has really cute details. There has been street out front each time I have went, but I'm sure there may be times when I will need to park further ahead on the block. read more

I went for my first appointment with Zoe on 26 September. I am having some female issues and im very stressed and I wanted to use the traditional Chinese medicine approach. As soon as I met Zoe I filled out my forms and we had a chat about my issues. She asked all the appropriate questions, took notes and put me at ease. She took my pressure and checked my pulse and tongue. She then proceeded to insert the needles. The one I actually felt we're the one on my head and my ears but the slight pain went away rather quick. Zoe told me to focus on my breathing and I quickly fell in a super deep sleep. Woke up smiling, stress free and extremely relaxed :) I travel a lot so won't be able to see her as much as I'd like but I will be back in a month. This is my new pampering method. Zoe is absolutely wonderful! She takes the time to comprehensively ask you about your lifestyle, sleep patterns, food intake, etc. Very compassionate, gently and friendly. I have had acupuncture previously before, but the person never asked questions such as what I eat and how I sleep to get an accurate overall picture. I was very happy to see Zoe do this. Every time I leave here, I feel so relaxed and calm followed by the best night's sleep. I used to go to this guy down in South Sac but I felt that it wasn't working, so through Yelp I decided to go to Zoe. And thank God I found her, otherwise my tension headaches and neck pain would still exist today! During my consultation appointment, I spoke with Zoe about what was going on with my neck and shoulders, along with my lifestyle and health history. She was very attentive, and invested a lot of her time into getting to know me. I can tell that she was very compassionate, because she had an understanding of what I went through and gave me advice that could help me spirtually and emotionally. I suffer from mild tendonitis, especially towards my elbow, and early symptoms of carpal tunnel. Zoe used this electric shock stimulator to activate my nerve that radiated down to my hands, and now the tingly feeling is gone! One thing that I would advise you all is that acupuncture takes a lot of TIME. One treatment can help reduce pain, but it will not go away immediately...so it'll probably take you more than one treatment for your symptoms to go away completely. This was my first acupuncture experience. I went for lower back pain and was unsure of what to expect. I can tell you that I will be a returning client. Zoe is very professional, friendly and listens well. She gives you the information you need without bombarding you with too much. If you haven't tried acupuncture as an alternative form of medicine I highly recommend it. Just take the time to research it and see if it fits you. The entrance for Zoe's place is on H street. You will find an open door and a set of stairs. Climb the stairs and it's the door on the left. It's a comfortable place and very clean. You will be greeted with water or a variety of hot, herbal teas. She also has showering facilities if you feel the need for one after a massage (I don't think you'd need it after acupuncture). For my consultation appointment, Zoe was attentive, and asked all the right questions. We also had a great rapport. She knows how to make her clients feel comfortable and understood. After reading Zoe's yelp reviews and her website, I decided to give it a try when I was deep in the midst of postpartum (teary and anxious all of the time). I've been seeing Zoe for over a year to keep my menopausal symptoms under control, specifically hot flashes and sleepless nights. After my first acupuncture session with Zoe I knew I finally found a healer. She listen to my story and after taking a detailed health history, knew exactly what my body needed. That night I was able to sleep a full night with no periods of wakefulness with greatly diminished hot flashes. The herbal remedies she prescribed greatly enhanced the acupuncture treatment. The hot flashes are all but a thing of the past with an occasional "tune up" needed to keep them in check. Zoe's technique is very gentle and relaxing. I had my 1st session with Zoe a week ago. I had a difficult time finding the place and accidentally went to another purple home that has the same address number. The resident was livid by my error and I honestly felt lucky to have walked away without being harmed. Call me an idiot but it was an innocent mistake. So be careful folks! My primary issues are osteoarthritis pain in my knees and hip but I also was interested in the aspect of acupuncture that balances the meridians and supposedly helps alleviate stagnation. I did my research and knew that it takes more than a single acupuncture treatment before any relief from pain is achieved so I wasn't expecting a miracle cure. When I finally arrived almost 30 minutes late, shaken and embarrassed, Zoe was waiting for me in the lobby and welcomed me with a big smile. Zoe is very warm and caring. I felt that she was genuinely interested in my well being. Everything is very clean, warm and inviting. Zoe moves with confident professionalism that made it easy for me to totally relax during the treatment. I was first drawn to Zoe based on the positive Yelp feedback. Having read her sight her credentials impressed me. I made an appointment with Zoe for smoking cessation, as well as several other ailments. Right away I felt good being in her presence. She is warm, friendly and personable. She took a good medical history and asked very in depth questions (this impressed me as my medical doctor isn't this thorough). Her offices are spacious, clean and warm. I only felt two needles go in that felt uncomfortable. There is absolutely no pain with this. The treatment was so relaxing that I actually fell asleep. I noticed immediately that the stress/pain I carry in my back was gone. I was hooked! This would have been a five star rating except: Unfortunately, Zoe told me that for smoking cessation I should come once a week but her next available appointment was three weeks out. (And It took me two weeks to get in for the first appointment). I wish this was explained to me when I made my first appointment (so that I could have booked weekly appointments). This was the biggest disappointment. For someone who is finally ready to give up smoking with the help of acupuncture having to wait weeks for appointments is a pain. I went home and read up further on smoking cessation with acupuncture and read that needles need to be inserted into the ear lobe (none of mine were). I felt like this first session was an expensive introduction; albeit a relaxing one. The only other downfall was, this was my first time trying acupuncture and I would have like more of the process explained to me. Lastly, it being Midtown, parking was an issue. I ended up finding another acupuncturist in Folsom (closer to where I live, cheaper) who got me in the same day I called and am seeing twice a week. I love Zoe! I have had quite a lot of accupuncture treatments over the years, so not new to it. Had an accident that required surgery, wanted to get accupuncture tx afterwards to help with pain and minimize pain drug intake. I was referred to Zoe and made an appointment. She is not only very serene and puts you right at ease right away, but she has a very healthy glow about her, something you want in a healer! She is extremely talented and knowledgeable. She gave me my treatment, and some nutritional advice which I appreciated very much. I was thrilled that I only needed to take pain medication for a few days after the surgery - I was given enough for a month! I had one follow up visit with Zoe, to hopefully speed up recovery. My orthopedic doctor was visibly surprised at how well my bone healed, and how quickly it healed, too. When I started treatment with Zoe, I had just recently left my job on medical leave and was in a very dark and hopeless place. I had been sick for years before that and had never found proper treatment for myself and had taken a rapid decline in health. This was 4 months ago. Today, I am about to start back at my job in less than a week and I am feeling better than I have since I was 16 (I am 25 now)! I have honestly never met such an accommodating and warm hearted healer as Zoe and largely attribute my good health to her wonderful treatments. I have been suffering from pcos symptoms since my teens and had never found the proper treatment since I am non insulin resistant/lean and don't necessarily fit the mold for pcos. I also had developed a digestive disorder that was compromising my health greatly. Zoe was the first acupuncturist who really looked at all my symptoms and I think she really understood where my problems were originating. I have gone to many naturopaths and acupuncturists over the last few years and she is by far my favorite. Each session with her is so relaxing and she has this amazing way of helping talk through what emotional/mental issues may be preventing true health in the body. I am normally a very anxious person, and now I have this great sense of peace since getting treatments. I no longer display pcos symptoms and am feeling happier than I have since high school! I met Zoe after doing lots of research for ways to improve my fertility. I had never had regular periods and most months would go without a period. When my husband and I stopped using birth control, we thought we would just wait to see if we got pregnant. Turns out, it was not going to be so easy. So I tried to improve my diet, fitness routine etc. When that didn't work, I was referred to Reproductive Health at Kaiser. My husband and I met with the doctor there and decided to start me on Chlomid/Femara. So we would first use medicine to induce a period, and then track ovulation and take medicine again once I ovulated. We did this for a couple of months until I looked into acupuncture and read lots of reviews about the benefits and the great experiences other women had. I thought I might have to go as far as the bay area for appointments until I came across Zoe's website. Zoe is located right here in Sacramento!! I made an appointment with her and when I met her, she had just returned from maternity leave herself. I immediately could tell she had lots of experience helping other women who face fertility issues. She knew exactly what I had gone through and she asked lots of questions about my health history in order to get to know my body better. I was still on the Chlomid/Femara routine, but something else tells me that it was my first session with Zoe immediately after ovulation that helped get me pregnant! YES! I got pregnant, the same month I had seen Zoe. I saw her twice before I had a positive pregnancy test at home. After that, I went to her every 1-2 weeks throughout my first trimester. Every session was even better than going and getting a massage. I would fall asleep right there on the table and would wake up feeling AMAZING! I am 25 weeks pregnant today!
