I had time to kill before heading out again. I was looking for a spot to savor a coffee before moving on. This little cafe was buzzing with people enjoy their day out on the front patio. It's a cozy shop. There was a young man behind the counter and a woman that I assume was the owner. The staff was polite. I ordered a latte and an almond scone. The latte was well made and a typical variety. No complaints on that end. But the scone was just plain awful. It wasn't scone texture. It was stale and had a glob of icing that came off in large chunks. It was so unetiable that I had to throw it away. It wasn't cheap either. I did try a sample of a blueberry muffin and it was good. I also heard many people ordering their bagel sandwiches and burritos. So maybe it was just a bad choice. The atmosphere was nice and I did enjoy my meditative moment with my coffee.

Ordered the Cinnamon Roll Coffee with almond milk and the vegetarian breakfast burrito. Delicious! I'm glad I found this place rather than going to a conventional place like Starbucks. I like trying local places like this.

Backstory of Zoe's* Zoe's Coffee began as a Coffee Koisk in the City Hall at Westminster. Then during the downturn of the economy, Judy and Vaughn ( the owners) were asked about also opening a kiosk in another public building, the new Commerce City Civic Center. Because it felt a bit risky, and they both had other full time jobs, they chose to close the kiosk at Westminster and moved to Commerce City. In 2012, Zoe's Coffee continued to grow and in 2012, a full service coffee shop, near the corner of 112th and Federal, opened in Westminster. Upon leaving the City of Westminster after 32 years of service, Vaughn wanted to try something new. Judy has been and continues with her interior design business as well as helping out at Zoes. Zoe is actually there granddaughters name as well! Me and my wife come in here at least once or twice a week & we love Zoe's! One of our favorite spots to work from, grab coffee or also grab an amazing bagel sandwich! You'll even catch little Chai (tiny dog!) strolling around the establishment! As they back the blue, we back Zoes! (Owner Vaugh was an officer for many years here in Westminster) They always go above and beyond to ensure that service and the quality is always 5 stars! Please don't hesitate to come in and check out the coffee, snacks or even see Chai! Also note that is canned beer and wine by the glass/bottle!

We tried out this coffee shop and enjoyed an iced coffee and an iced latte and a cream cheese danish and a gluten free lemon poppyseed muffin. The muffin was absolutely excellent and I couldn't tell it was gluten free. The vibe is very chill and cozy with just the right level of background music playing. It has nice eclectic decor and the baristas were nice as well. I do think they got sidetracked a bit and forgot an item while they were talking but other than that it was a good experience.

It's a great place to have an early meetup for coffee. It's very cute and had been around for many years serving the community. I love supporting this small business.

Delicious food and drinks! Love the vibe here!

I came here one day wishing for a cool new local coffee shop but personally I did not enjoy my coffee from here. I came in on a Tuesday or Thursday around lunchtime so it was fairly empty and there was one woman and one girl working. The girl who took my order was being trained I believe and the lady making my drink was the trainer. I ordered a small hot vanilla oat milk latte and personally it tasted like steamed burnt milk with a slight hint of vanilla. So the taste of my coffee was disappointing but the thing that threw me off the most was the lady who was making my latte called my order out so as I was walking over to the counter, I heard her say "oops" and she pulled back my drink because my poured drink was about 1/4 away from the rim. As someone who worked in a coffee shop, you should always be topping off a customers drink, especially considering this drink was about $7 before my tip. The lady had pulled back my drink and I witnessed her pour a splash of oat milk back into the dirty steam tin and simply steam the little splash of milk quickly for about 3 seconds before pouring it into my cup. Mind you, besides the milk tasting somewhat burnt, my cup still had quite a bit of room from the top which was unfortunate considering I had just gotten a "top off" from the barista. Personally, I just think that while sometimes as baristas we measure milk quantities wrong, which result in under poured lattes, I would have at least taken the time to steam the milk correctly and rinse the steam wand prior to doing so. Overall, take my review with a grain of salt considering I have only been to this place once. Sometimes businesses can put out not their best product and it makes consumers think that defines their quality as a business. Personally my experience was just not what I wanted it to be for this place.

Delightful local coffee shop with breakfast and lunch selections! The atmosphere makes you feel like you are part of a caring community! Recycled books available in the corner cabinet for purchase. Try the cinnamon roll with the rich coffee for a sweet treat! Meet owner Judy and her adorable pup Chai! This is now my go to place to meet friends to catch up!

There is music but it isn't too loud. I ordered the mini-monkey bread (pictured), essentially a biscuit dappled with cinnamon sugar streusel. I didn't love it; I thought it tasted too salty. Still, I finished it so it couldn't have been that bad! I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla (eggs, chiles, cheese, onions, drizzled with avocado cream and served with red salsa), which was very good. Harumy checked on me, and brought the check promptly. You pay at the counter, not directly to the server. I would have given 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't enable this, so I rounded up to 5 stars. I had to ask the hostess to ask our waitress to bring our drinks because we never saw our waitress again after placing our order. She brought the waters and 1 minute later our food arrived lukewarm. The potatoes were not cooked. We were never checked on again. Then the check came, but the extra bacon I ordered "to go" had not arrived. So she went to get that. We paid at the front with the hostess. It was an extra $5 for 2 pieces of bacon. $2.50 per slice. Is that inflation or price gouging? This is the first time in my life I have never left a tip. I'm usually a really good tipper. And I feel bad about it, but I also want to be taken care of in order to give a tip for good service. This was not good service and the food was mediocre. We found out that DoorDash had picked it up and delivered it to their customer. We found this out because the customer had called us, rather than rectifying the situation. The manager at Firehouse refused to remake our food or issue a refund. He told her there was nothing he could do and that she should request a refund online. This compounded the incident with poor customer service. We immediately notified Firehouse Subs about the issue. Jessica was quick to respond. However, she also said there was nothing that she could do as the store's POS system processed our payment. We therefore would have to get the refund from the store. Jessica added that she would forward the information to the store's ownership and management. It's been months, with no communication from the store. They took our money and did not provide us with food. That is theft. And to add insult to injury, their customer service was horrendous. We had already taken the matter up with management on site at the time, and do not wish to waste any more of our time. Sixty dollars is not much to us. But to others, it may be a lot. The reason why I am writing this review is the principle of this matter. What they did is wrong. According to feedingamerica.org, 20% of Americans are living with food insecurity. I said that $60 is not significant to me. However, for the 1 in 5 that it is, I am leaving this review. The order process online went smoothly and the food was ready promptly. I was disappointed by the gyro and ended up not eating it. For the uninitiated, a gyro sandwich is a pita bread filled with gyro meat, tzatziki sauce, and sometimes lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. The meat is made of a blend of seasoned lamb and beef meat molded around a vertical spit. The spit rotates and the outside is exposed to a heat source. As the meat broils, the chef carves off slices or chunks from the sections that have browned. Typically the gyro meat is cooked to "well done." The meat in my gyro was not browned; rather it was lighter colored and had a mealy mouthfeel. I've eaten gyros in traditional Greek restaurants and casual eateries in Chicago, Austin, San Francisco Bay Area, and now Denver, and this was the first time I've tasted the meat cooked this way. Three stars because the restaurant looked well kept and reasonably clean, the service was polite, and it's possible other people are not bothered by manner of preparation of the gyro.
