    A welcoming porch

East Simpson is lovely for the coffee, the pastries and the atmosphere. It's a greta place to come and sip coffee or chai (or even a London fog) while working or reading and especially for catching up with a friend! The staff is always friendly and there is always art on the walls from local artists. I will keep going back!

Mmm coffee so good here! They recently added more tables and another building so there is lots more seating now! Still one of my favorite hometown places to sit and get some work done :)

    Strawberry croissant!! Yummy!!

I love love love this amazing coffee shop!!! Obviously the coffee is amazing but so are the teas and my personal favorite; the dairy free hot chocolate!! Omgosh so thick, chocolaty and not too sweet. It's better than my homemade. Add to that the array of baked goods and breakfast items tailored to entice everyone's palates. Service is hit or miss depending. I've had fantastic friendly and I've had snooty indifference. I've not had outright nasty service ever. The ambiance is so laid back with books and plentiful seating and that amazing porch. If I was a young 20 something in college I'd definitely be here often doing schoolwork. All in all I come here every chance I get. The strawberry and chocolate croissants are freakin awesome!! If you've got a minute to chill, love coffee or hot chocolate, come check them out. You won't regret it.

Cute coffee shop, plenty of seating, lots of coffee and tea options as well as food. I will be back to try more from the menu. I had the dirty chai -spiced which was incredibly flavorful! Unlike many chai mixes that are pre-made, this seemed like they did a lot to it in house which I really appreciated!

    Delicious matcha latte

This was a beautiful start to my morning. I was traveling in the area for work, so I had no experience with the neighborhood or other coffee shops around. Nice small town location with outdoor seating, very walkable area. I ordered a muffin and a hot matcha latte. The muffin was subpar (but I still ate it!) and the matcha was great! The workers were all very kind and working efficiently to get quickly through the line building up. I would recommend for a slow casual morning coffee with friends!

The Latte art was a beautiful bonus!

Why does East Simpson Coffee Company always have a crowd? 1. The coffee is great. They seem to use OZO coffee, which if you are from Colorado, can vouch is a spot on cup of Joe. On top of that, they have plenty of options for our more adventurous coffee lovers. With an array of homemade simple syrups, you could splash up your day with a little Rose, Vanilla, Lavender, Cinnamon, Honey and more. Don't love a latte, they had all of your classic espresso options: Cortado, Macchiato, Cubano, etc. I went with an ole fashion latte with a hint of Cinnamon. The sweetness level was just what I asked for, but what blew me away was the artwork on top of my latte. It may have been the best leaf I've seen! 2. The food option is VAST! I saw scones, croissants, torts, pies, breads, pre-made breakfast burritos, paninis and GF options. For me, the ham & cheese croissant was calling my name. If you're cool with it, they will pop it on the grill to make it warm. My advice, "DO IT." It's a sweet buttery baby of crunch and flakiness that your body will thank you for later. 3. The service team is a bunch of allstars. I was happily greeted by a super kind barista to take my order, then given my drink by another super kind barista. They both had a comfortable energy that made you feel seen as more than just a customer. 4. The atmosphere is cozy! It's built in what looks like an older home, however, they've renovated it to be quite open and inclusive for whatever their customer's desire is. They have common workspace areas for remote workers, smaller tables for friends, as well as, a grand outdoor patio with fire pits in the fall/winter and umbrellas in the summer/spring. I grabbed my order to go, but I'm looking forward to going back in the future and enjoying one of these areas.

Grilled Pesto Chicken Sandwich & Choclate Cheesecake Muffin. Warm, gooey, DELISH!

Quaint and quiet spot within a neighborhood where my daughter and I stopped in for a bite. We split a pesto chicken grilled sandwich for lunch and chocolate cheesecake muffin for dessert. And wow! Impressed, impressed, impressed. Light, simple and delicious. We sat outside where there are a multitude of seating areas, heaters, and chairs strewn throughout this cute little property. Even the dark brew coffee hit the spot. Felt like we were being served a home cooked meal. Just the type of place we were seeking. This is a revisit for sure!

Adorable coffee house that I just read was the old Town Hall building in Lafayette! Friendly barista and great coffee and pastries.

They have GF clearly marked on the menu, I ordered items that needed no modification. I did not have a reservation as I was by myself both nights so I sat at the high top at the bar. This place seems visited regularly by the locals/regulars and I heard more than one state it was the best happy hour in the area. I ordered the same filet both nights, with a dinner salad to start. I loved the butter lettuce and the herb dressing, it does get soggy quick...be prepared it is not crisp. The steak was cooked how I ordered it, medium, both nights. The second night they did charge me a steak meal that came with spinach and mashed potato ( I did not order and did not want). I did try a bite of the mash and they needed some seasoning. I did not ask for a refund on the items I did not order. Overall, great place. Expect a bit slower service when seated in the bar area. Very nostalgic for the past and take a moment to look up at the unique ceiling fans.

There were a good amount of parties upon our arrival at 5:30. I ordered the 45 day dry age ribeye. It was bursting with flavor. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The Old Town Old Fashioned was also quite nice. So nice I had 2 . Get the lemon torte and thank me later. I'm not a sweets guy, but it is a must try. The only minor downside was the service was a bit slow. They were almost at capacity by the time we left around 7:30 which may have contributed to that. I'd definitely come back and take a seat at the bar to travel even further back in time.
