I stopped into Zoe's on a Friday during lunchtime and there were a good amount of customers but not so many you couldn't find a table. The atmosphere is pretty standard for a pizza joint, but it was clean and bright. I'd been hoping to find some vegan pizza by the slice, but they didn't have any that day. Luckily they have a pretty hearty vegan menu and we could order a whole pizza. We got the plant-based bbq special. It came out quickly and was pretty tasty. My party was greeted upon arrival and the staff was very friendly. Great atmosphere too. The workers all seemed very pleasant. I got a crazy pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. Both the pizza and the knots came out fairly quick and DELICIOUS. Best pizza I've had in a good while. If I lived closer, this would be my go to pizza spot. So good!! Tried this place for the first time this weekend. It was alright. Definitely not life-changing pizza, but not too bad, either. The girl working the counter was pleasant and helpful. Great service. They have slices available for lunch. I got a slice of sausage pizza and a slice of pepperoni. My wife got a slice of their Mediterranean pie. While the price was fair enough, I suppose, the slices were actually pretty small compared to what you get at other places like Falbo Bros. or Rosati's, and Falbo and Rosati's actually cost less money. I'd say these slices were on par with the size you get at Casey's. Maybe a little smaller. The toppings were thin, too. I get that lunchtime slices are never as adequately topped as normal pies, but these were pretty scant. The cheese was thin. The sausage was thin, and there was probably room for another couple of pepperonis on my slice of pepperoni. Again, Falbo and Rosati's top theirs better. The pizza tasted fine. It wasn't going to win any awards, but it tasted alright. If anything, it was a little bland. I had to hit it with salt, red pepper flakes, and a little Italian seasoning to give it a little more life. The pepperoni was okay, but the sausage they used was pretty bland and flavorless. The crust was the best part. It had decent flavor. It was pleasantly chewy. When all is said and done, I would go back if I was in the area and in the mood for pizza, but honestly--there are better pizzas out there for less money. read more

First time to try the pizza here. Most people agree the pies are great but pricey. I would say the same thing but prices are going up everywhere. If they want to stay in business you have to make money and I won't complain about that. We got a cracker thin crust to go and it's a bake it for 20 minutes or so at home kind of deal. It was very good and we are believers. We are in their delivery area and it was delivered at the correct time as promised. My biggest complaint about pizzas is the amount of salt in the sauce and that was not the case this time. We will try it again. read more

I tried Zoe's Pizzeria for lunch for the first time yesterday. I've worked in Waunakee for 4 years and can't believe I've never tried this gem! The pizza crust is just the perfect mix of chewy and crunchy. Pizza was loaded with toppings, but not too greasy. Veggies tasted fresh and I also enjoyed the garlic knots with marinara dipping sauce. The price is on the higher-end for pizza, however, the pizza is great! In reality, this is the price that high-end pizza places charge. I feel like some of the negative comments here are from customers who have never eaten "real" pizza. You cannot compare Zoe's to Sbarros, Dominos, or other chain restaurants. Our family orders from here at least twice a month. We love the pizzas and the pastas. We always follow the Facebook page to see what the weekly special will be. Love most of the weekly specials! It's fun to see what they will come up with next! The crust is the best part of the pizza! We always order the regular crust and you can tell they make it in-house. The crust is delicious. Love the wood fire grill taste. If you are going to order an app the garlic knots are worth it! At my house, we prefer light sauce and when we order online we are allowed to add those preferences, make substitutions, and leave comments. They recently added a lot of dairy-free options and GF crusts. My sister loves ordering here for this reason. read more

The best pizza in Waunakee While I wouldn't rate this as my fave pizza in the Madison-area (Salvatore's in Sun Prairie and the Greenbush Bar share that esteemed title), Zoe's serves up a decent pizza pie. I appreciate that Zoe's offers three crust options (Hand Tossed, Regular Thin or Cracker Thin) since the family and I don't share the same crust preferences . From a textural standpoint, the crust at Zoe's has the right combination of both bite and chew, I just don't find the same level of flavor as the crusts at the aforementioned Salvatore's and Greenbush. The red sauce is better than average. While it does not offer much herbal complexity, it does not have that "out of the can" taste. There are four other sauce options (alfredo, BBQ, ranch and olive oil) if you are looking for something a little different. Besides the standard mozzarella, there are three other cheese options (fresh mozzarella, feta and cheddar). My dad always mixed in a little cheddar one the pizza he made, so I utilize that option when I'm feeling nostalgic. Our household is also a big fan of feta cheese, so we utilize that option quite a bit. The six meat options are pretty standard. It would be nice to have a more upscale option like prosciutto. Topping quantities are generously applied. The same can be said about the 16 veggie topping offerings. The are generously applied, but there are no real gourmet options. The kids LOVE the garlic knots as an appetizer - I can take them or leave them. There are a variety of pasta offerings, sandwiches and salads on the menu as well. I have not given them a try yet, so you are on your own if you choose to wander off the pizza reservation... The staff are friendly and the carryout pizzas are always ready on time. Zoe's recently moved into a more spacious setting, so they now offer a dine-in option. If you are looking for a good pizza in the 53597, this is the place you need to go. read more

Delicious pizza in Waunakee! I always ordered at Rocky's - but recently tried Zoe's, and found my new favorite! I really like the hand-tossed crust (a lot less "bread-y" than Rocky's), and the flavor of the pizza is so good! I don't mind paying more for a much better tasting pizza. Consistently delicious! They have pretty good pizza, but their prices are astronomically high. I was ok with it in the past because I wanted to support a local business. However, they recently agreed to offer a 20% discount on a fundraiser card for the Waunakee swim teams and then rescinded the offer once the cards were printed and purchased by people in the community trying to support the team and local businesses. This makes the team look bad and is a terrible way to do business. I will not buy pizza from Zoe's again. Tasty pizza, friendly service. I've only eaten Zoe's pizza once, but I know I'll be eating it again. The online ordering was very easy, and my pizza was ready right on time. The staff people there were friendly. The crust "crunch" was just right, and the toppings definitely were fresh, and the pizza had lots of flavor. I also ordered a house salad, which to my surprise, was full of darker greens. Zoe's doesn't hand out a wad of iceberg lettuce, which is quite nice! My favorite pizza place in the area. My favorite is their The Works - basically the supreme. Big YUM! I tend to go for lunch and order out. You can get slices during lunch so it's quick and easy. They have a bunch of different specials like 2 slices and a drink at good prices. You can eat in or take out. They moved a while ago allowing for more dining in space. Pizza is really good (I like the cracker thin crust) and service is fine, but the food here is extremely expensive. A single 16" pie with half plain cheese and half sausage is literally $19. I have never seen a coupon for this place and have not heard of any specials. Could get more than twice the amount of pizza down the street at Pizza Hut (no exaggeration) for that price. Sure the 'Hut's pizza isn't quite as good, but still... I'm certainly willing to pay more to support a local place, but not 2x+ more. Giving this place 3 stars just based on low bang for the buck. Will still visit occasionally since at least the pizza is good. read more

This place is so overpriced and has very mediocre pizza. Ordered a kids pepperoni pizza and the crust was black and burnt to a crisp. Also ordered a deluxe pizza on regular crust. Several pieces of the pizza were mostly crust (which had very little flavor). There wasn't enough sauce on the pizza either. There didn't seem to be enough seasoning the pizza.
