    Crazy Pepperoni 16"

My party was greeted upon arrival and the staff was very friendly. Great atmosphere too. The workers all seemed very pleasant. I got a crazy pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. Both the pizza and the knots came out fairly quick and DELICIOUS. Best pizza I've had in a good while. If I lived closer, this would be my go to pizza spot. So good!! Looking forward to the next visit to Zoe's Pizzeria. The crust and cheese were both well above average on taste & texture. I'm impressed. Well worth the money!

I tried Zoe's Pizzeria for lunch for the first time yesterday. I've worked in Waunakee for 4 years and can't believe I've never tried this gem! The pizza crust is just the perfect mix of chewy and crunchy. Pizza was loaded with toppings, but not too greasy. Veggies tasted fresh and I also enjoyed the garlic knots with marinara dipping sauce. I will be trying some of their lunch combo specials soon!

Found a hair in my garlic knot, the hair was partly baked into the garlic knot.

Ate one garlic knot, went to eat another one and found a hair sticking out of the garlic knot.

New location for Zoe's Pizza - the sign for the previous tenant is still behind the Zoe's banner.

I also love being in restaurants where they really bring in the traditions of the cuisine. For apps, we shared the eggplant fritters (which were amazing!), burrata and salad. Must get the eggplant fritters, they were little balls of eggplant delight! And I am a huge eggplant parm fan so this was right up my alley. For my main, I opted for the shrimp scampi with homemade pasta! I loved the homemade pasta! However, I felt the sauce was very light. I wish I could've ordered this pasta dish with the san marzano sauce. I think that would've made the flavor pop more for me. And for desserts, they were also incredible. Tiramisu, cannoli and the lemon sorbet! Highly recommend the lemon sorbet, was such a strong lemon flavor. Overall, definitely recommend in the Madison area, one of my favs so far!

Food: A nice selection of pizza, split between ones with and without tomato sauce. I got the Lombarda which has Gorgonzola Cream, Pears and Apricot Glaze and Arugula. My wife got a cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion (CSMO). Both of them came out, pipe hot, with nice crisp crust. Nice presentation for both pizzas. They were both good, but I was a bit underwhelmed with the Lombarda. If it had Apricot Glaze, it wasn't very noticable, and maybe was the reason that it needed a bit of salt to enhance the toppings. The CSMO was very flavorful, and clearly the better of the two. Service: Super friendly and helpful service, both when ordering and when the food was delivered. The cashier was patient and happy to give us advice on what their favorites were. Atmosphere: It's a small place. Some interesting vintage large photo print on the walls. You order at the counter, then take a seat at one of the tables along the left side of the restaurant. It looked like there were as many people picking up to-go orders, as there were dining in. Food 4/5 Service 2/5…read moreAmbiance 4/5 Nonno's is a local Italian place with some good charms to it. The atmosphere was nice - low lighting and the decor made it feel like the typical at-home Italian feel. The food was also great - I thoroughly enjoyed all of the food I ordered and the fresh bread that came with the meal. I think my one complaint has to be the service. I admit, I did show up on a Friday night, but I was seated immediately... and then proceeded to wait 15 minutes for water. Getting bread about 10 minutes after also was a bit disheartening, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. Overall - maybe I'd come back on a less busy day, or I just felt a huge amount of variance that day. I'd happily give Nonno's another shot someday, as I truly like their food - just a matter of getting it out in a timely fashion.

Soup and salads arrived but no appetizer. Entrees arrived. I canceled the cheese curds. No apology. My friend ordered another drink. It never arrived. Our server never checked in. It wasn't that busy. Service gets 2 stars only due to the bus staff keeping our waters full. Food. They start you with an olive oil balsamic butter with really crispy focaccia. Excellent. I wished they would have added some grated Romano or Parmesan cheese. This was the highlight of the food. The food gets 2 Stars. It was subpar for what I expected from the reviews. Maybe I'm being harsh but the fettuccine Alfredo was under seasoned, dry and lacked Parmesan cheese. Another diner had the same opinion. So much so I left the leftovers. The shrimp scampi was underwhelming. The cioppino was over salted and the seafood over cooked. The Caesar salad was tasteless. The minestrone was average and the Caesar salad was tasteless. The dressing lacked garlic, anchovies and salt. Not sure it deserves a second chance.

As you enter, there is a decent sized bar off to your right with a few high top tables. To your left is the dining room, which is cozy and intimate. Someone at a table near us was having what looked like a margarita, and that made me want a margarita. So, instead of getting a bottle of wine, we both got a margarita. It was not what the other person was drinking, but oh my was this one of the best margaritas I've had in recent memory! It was SO good. It had a lot of ice in it, so next time I might ask for it straight up just so I can savor it and not let the ice water it down. We also had delicious bread brought to the table with a plate of olive oil and balsamic. The bread was cut into nice little pieces, was warm, and had a delightful texture where the outside was slightly crisped but not enough to impede your bite and the inside was just warm and soft. The have a nice, varied menu and it was hard to decide what to get. I was really craving marinara sauce, so I ended up going with the Cappellaci Di Salsiccia which was a meat and cheese enclosed pasta with marinara. And it was delicious. It also came out very beautifully plated. My dining mate ordered the Penne Pollo e Pesto and loved it. I'm not wild about pesto, but had to sample a bit and the way the pesto clung to the penne was really tasty. They also have a ragu lasagna and chicken piccata on their menu that I can't wait to try. As we were leaving, I saw a sign with two of their featured fall cocktails and both sounded incredible. I will have to be back for all of these things!!
