I have never had a bad meal here. Typical diner ambiance. One room is booths, some tables and a counter to eat at, other room is large dining area where groups of any size can be accommodated. Sign up for their text alerts, and you get 15% off coupons. The one thing that really disappoints me is their side salads now. They used to be amazing with carrots, cucumbers, onions and roasted peppers. Now its a pile of lettuce with some onion. Understanding costs are rising, but customers notice chintzy. Came here with coworkers after an event in the morning. We were a fairly large group, and our waitress was great and handled everything perfectly. Everything came out together, and everything was correct! I don't remember our waitress' name, but she had blue hair..and was what all waitresses should be. Anyway.. the food. I got the California omelette. It had avocado and cheddar. I added bacon for a small upcharge. It was delicious! Not overly salty and very filling. Took my son here for his birthday dinner. They sat me and my family at a table all the way in the back, no problem. Then they proceeded to have us sit there for 40mins, no server. They had maybe 5 tables with people so it wasn't that they were busy. Just a note my family is a mixed family and when we walked in they just took us back to the table and gave us water and left. So about a month ago, we ordered take out and I went with an omelette with an English muffin. I got home, no English muffin. Ok, big deal, a sign to not consume all those extra carbs (lol)! Despite the fact we paid the 79 cent up charge for the English muffin, we didn't see it worth making a thing of. This time, we chose to order take out again, omelette with the up charge of an English muffin, and to my surprise, I got the English muffin this time, only it was burnt to a crisp and I couldn't bite into it. Not really sure why they'd pack that up like that. Additionally, my omelette was over cooked as well and was lacking the bacon it was supposed to have in it. Notably, whenever we have dined in there, the service was always good. Punctual, attentive, and kind. It is obviously a lot easier to rectify a less than satisfying meal if you dine in there, but for take out, it's not worth driving back up there and spending the time and gas, which leads us to feel super disappointed. Husband ordered a burger and it was well-done, not medium, he didn't complain because it wasn't as bad as my English muffin! My brother ordered a grilled chicken Caesar wrap and said it was very dry. Most of the dressing leaked out of the wrap and was at the bottom of the counter container, chicken was dry. 2 out of 5 stars for food quality. What wasn't good was the multiple ants crawling on the table and the weird comments from the waitress. She was very nice the entire time while we had a usual diner experience for the most part and then the waitress brought us our bill and said "did you thank Joe Biden for those prices?" We were confused and didn't know what she was referring to. We said what? while awkwardly chuckling and she said "Biden is responsible for these prices" and so on. Tons of red flags that the food would be bad. Unfortunately I was right. First things first. I pulled into the parking lot at noon on a Sunday. They weren't busy. The floors were sticky. Another huge red flag the woman's bathroom was unusable. "Gross "is what the wife said. But she insisted on trying it. The only thing that was good was the Fries. My sons Mac and cheese. Was just hot wet yellow noodles. No flavor. No love. Kraft is better. The wife got a panini. The bread was like gram crackers with no sugar. So hard. Just terrible. At the end of the meal I made a little house with it. I ordered a Ruben on a wrap with pastrami. It was dry Flavorless and was more wrap then meat. I never mind paying for a meal when it's good. The old Rocky Point diner was disgusting but the new ownership has transformed the diner scene in Rocky Point. I was here last night with a friend and we both got the penne a la vodka. As always, made excellent and wasn't too expensive either. Their penne a la vodka was made better than the surrounding Italian restaurants: Pompei, Branchinellis and etc. I loved that i saw a lot of people being there and having a good time. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of their bad job handling traffic and the distribution of people into sections. I come from a family that has owned up to 6 restaurants at a time back in Greece so i know first hand about this. When we walked in, one section was completely filled up while the other was visibly not. Instead of them filling up the visibly less crowded section, they were trying to fill up the already busy section causing a 5-10 min wait. If they can improve that then they'll get 5 stars from me but in essence, the service was quick, the food was delicious and the prices were good! I was a part of a very large group - probably at least 40,. The diner was very accommodating of us. They also gave each of the young kids with us a toy from their claw machine. We were gathering together after a funeral service, so this kindness was much appreciated. All of our food came out really quickly considering the size of our group, and at about the same time. Most of the food looked and was very good. Personally, I got a cheese quesadilla. It was very cheesy and hot, but the salsa it came with was so-so. However, other food looked great.
