This place is always so busy but service is always excellent and food comes out so quickly. They decorated for the holidays and they go all out! The menu is absolutely huge. Prices are a bit higher compared to other diners but this is a top tier diner.

This is an easy 5 star Diner on Long Island. Centrally located in Bethpage. Easy for Nassau, Suffolk, north shore , south shore. You've heard it all the time Location location location Here's the deal When you think of Diners You think , burgers , salads, chicken .. Not here Stuff filet of sole with crabmeat that will rival any seafood restaurant . Come here and embrace it

Embassy diner is your quintessential Long Island diner. I opted for my usual diner order, two eggs over easy with bacon, home fries, and whole wheat toast. My breakfast was absolutely delicious, every item was cooked so well and there was something about these home fries that hit different. Signs of a great diner: attentive service, constant coffee refills, and crispy bacon. Embassy checked all the right boxes.

The transformation is real! I went to the Okinee diner 5 years ago. I came back and was told they bought over the Embassy Diner so we came here. Here is what you need to know: 1 super patriotic place supporting America with tons of flags and pictures of first responders all over the establishment 2 the food is fresh and fast and the quality is worth the money 3 they support local businesses and they know their customers. Multiple people came in and knew the workers and owner by name. The owner is very personable. This is THE diner to visit if you want a real experience with great food!

12/4/24. Made my Christmas trek to check out their displays. The music and the decorations will surely get you into the holiday spirit. First, we were given a complimentary small sample of sausage and peppers over rice (very good) and a full bread basket. We had the Manhattan clam chowder (heavy on the potatoes and carrots, light on the clams), fried scallops (10 per order) with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce, and a special, mixed seafood fra diavolo (shrimp, scallops and calamari served over linguine $32.95). Pasta was not cooked al dente as requested, but tasty nonetheless. The fried scallops are perfection. For dessert, we split the chocolate mousse and cheesecake. I was surprised how good both cakes were. Def recommend. Leslie our server was brash, not friendly or welcoming. She did her best to rush us and the tables near us. I barely got through the menu and she asked for my order multiple times. I joked to stop rushing us! Managers walking around saying hi to tables was a nice touch. After a little mixup regarding dessert, Robby, the manager did right by us. Management seems to care about the customers, not like some of the servers. I'll be back.

Love coming here!! Food is always good and always comes out fast. Everyone I take here, always come back and recommend others

Do they offer a breakfast special menu?

    yes

I'm confused with the reviews. Is this a 4 star diner or a 1 star diner? I trust my friends Krista, Jim D and Anthony so I book marked the place.

I see mostly good reviews and that matches my experience at the diner. Every business has one disgruntled customer that will never like anything or perhaps the diner had one day when things were not at their best. Just like with the Olympics, I… Read more

The inside was very clean and welcoming and our waitress was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. The food was a bit pricey but the portion sizes were AMAZING. I got the Chicken Souvlaki and it was enough for three people! I was also able to get grilled onions and peppers with it, I was very happy about that. Also the home fries were well done-which I love and it came with a nice sized side salad. I also had a Matzah Ball soup which was light and tasty. Everyone else also loved their food--an omelet, steak and eggs (which was cooked perfectly), silver dollar pancakes and a massive gyro wrap. Everything came out hot and fast and all seemed to be very fresh-we all took home food that we had for another meal. I would absolutely go back to this diner when I am next in town. The menu is also MASSIVE--it took us almost 20 minutes to decide what to get--with so many options included big salads and entree specials.

The TVs had on sports and news. Location is accessible but there are 2 doors to pull open to get to the gender-specific bathrooms - could be difficult for someone in a wheelchair or with a walker. The desserts looked great in the case but they are not house-made, but might be made somewhere locally, hostess was not sure. Lots of "order by number" choices on the first page of the menu - hubby had #2 and I had #13. Lydia let me sub a pancake for the toast and home fries which was a good choice. The pancake came with butter and warm syrup. My coffee was hot & the omelette was delicious but looked more like a scramble on the plate. Hubby liked his meal too. We would definitely stop back when in the area.

Service - 4/5 - went above whats needed. Ambiance - 4/5 - nice vibe and decorated nicely. Overall - 3/5 - ok spot. Service and ambiance were better than expected but food was sub par. Food was pretty lackluster even for a diner. Onion rings were ok, chicken tenders were like every other cheap restaurants. Ordered the Chinese pork roast sandwich and was a total disappointment. Also did not give extras like other diners do. Only saving grace was Banana Silver Dollar pancakes. Service did go above, water was always full, chef and waiter helped get us an order they don't normally do. They went above what was needed. Inside was decorated really nicely, felt very festive and upbeat. Was not expecting that. If food wasn't sub par, would definitely be worth a stop. So we flipped the bit, for the lack of a better term, and ended up at Broadway Diner. WARNING! When you are headed for a certain place, stay on course. It's not good to deviate. I was the first one walking in because I had to use the restroom. I was totally ignored for less than a minute. The guy finally comes over and a lady cuts him off and asks him about the cake, like no one in the restaurant could have assisted either her or me. He was not in a rush to see what I needed. When one of my party of four walks in 2 minute later, he comes over to attend to me. I just had to ask why he did what he did because I felt offended. I'm hearing, K Dot's- "they not like us" in my mind, while all of this is transpiring. Again! IYKYK! I'm watching one worker wipe down the cake cooler because it was foggy. More like going through Pittsburgh PA in the morning and the sun is up. The four of us are now headed to the table and this place has nice murals but I wasn't focused on that, I was more concerned about this restaurant needing to be refreshed because it really shows on rainy days. I'm Just glad that we weren't sitting by any window. I ordered the vegetable omelette, it was bland with no taste, I had to put salt, pepper, and ketchup on the meal to spruce it up a little. The customer service could be a lot better, the server also forgot the honey that was requested. I know, I'm only human, born to mistakes, The Human League said it best. The only excitement I experience is when I went to get the Napoleon, I showed my ID and we got a good laugh from that but otherwise, I'm going to take Eddie Kendricks advice, Keep On Trucking! I don't have any reason to return even though the Napoleon was on point. Still.. Inspire more, Yelp more!

Since this is a Greek diner, you'll also find gyro & souvlaki, along with 2-3 soups of the day and they rotate depending on the day of the week. If I'm in the mood for breakfast, even in the afternoon or evening, I like over easy eggs on corned beef hash with the yolks running over the hash, along with sides of home fries and toast. My wife will usually go for an omelet and she'll get a Farmer's, Western or customizes her own. She likes to get grits as her breakfast side instead of home fries.
