I called at 5:45PM no answer. They close at 6PM. The next day I call from a different number only to find out my car hadn't been touched. I take another uber back to F- Auto and ask for my car. Its 10:30AM they open at 8AM. I speak with Louis and he tells me he is sorry for the miscommunication. My statement was... there was no miscommunication, I was clear and so were you... you guys suck. This facility lets unlicensed workers tend to our cars and damage our property. I will have another shop fix my damage caused while at this shop but please stay away from this shop as they are rude, steal car keys, and your car will be damaged and not fixed while under their possession. I made a police report for criminal damage that occurred to my property and have contacted body shop and mechanic that will fix work and body damage caused by Velasquez and Son . Upon receipt, Mr. 'DC' proceeded to contact me to say he put the new motor in but it didn't work. I contacted the motor vendor. They ended up contacting Harvey Auto (DC) to ask numerous questions around the troubleshooting conducted and basic quality check involved with a new motor installation. A Specialist from Ford got involved and miraculously, DC was able to get the motor worked. Approx 3 MONTHS after the July dropoff, I was called to pick up my car. When I arrived, I was told the car had no power and needed a new battery. I purchased a new battery on the spot. After installing the battery, DC then comes in to say the lights inside of the car aren't working and there is no power??? He offered to get a 2nd opinion from another mechanic. I agreed and waited 2 weeks without a word. Upon checking on the status, DC informed me that NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE and to chk back. I did. SAME RESPONSE, but now the same motor that didnt work, then worked...is not working and I need a new motor. I also would need to pay him again to take out the new, non-working motor and put the new new motor in (foolery)! My dad even went there in person 2 more times to talk to DC and better understand what was happening, only to be told any additional work done on the car would be a charge to me....WHAT??? Things that were working when they received the car in July are now not working after the car has been in their possession for 7 months and I'm responsible for the repairs? Who knows what they've done to my car in this unreasonable timeframe!?! After all of this, I'm told to have the car towed and I HAVE TO be present. Due to my work hours, that was impossible. TODAY, February 9, 2018, I scheduled a tow truck to meet me at the shop. I arrive and I'm told they just moved my car to the back and it's running?????? I cancel the tow (BIG Mistake), go to move the car and it won't start! Tried to jump the car...NOTHING! So now Im headed back home to prepare for this massive snow storm and have to wait until it all clears to try again. This shop is HORRIBLE, non-responsive and is only concerned about getting their payments for poor and inadequate work. DC is a smoke blower and has horrible customer service skilsls. One shouldn't have to hunt a mechanic down for an update on a car that under repair and in the shop's possession . I may not be in position to sue, but trust I will copy and paste this complaint on multiple sites in the event is deleted! Forgive any error and broken english but I am beyond pissed!

I will never doubt my first impression of a busness ever again! This is the worst repair shop I have ever encountered and I am considering sueing them! They ran out the gas in my vehicle and I truly believed they did not replace the transmission like they said! The car was dirty when it was returned also. I will be reporting them to the states attorney's office for comsumer protection. Again, "Do Not Do Business with B and G Auto Repair in Harvey, IL! I am a disable veteran and I take service seriously! Also, beware of their finance practices and read everything throughly if you do consider having work done there. He called, gave me the price of repair, I agreed to it. He called an hour later for me to pick up my car that sounded brand new!! My son was so impressed, he left his car, a 2001 Impala that was running loud. Vargas repaired the muffler system in less than 4 hours. That old car sounds new! Great prices for honest, quick professional repairs. They are always busy, so be prepared to leave your car. They do charge 3% extra if you pay with debit or credit card.
