I have a three column Thermador fridge setup: A freezer, a wine cooler and a fridge. My wine cooler broke down after only 6 years. Lev agreed to come and replace it with a new one. When he took out the entire unit, we found that huge amounts of rust had formed between the wine cooler and the freezer. Lev told me he has never seen anything like this before and could be due to some leak. He fixed the rusty part of the freezer (still working) for a nominal fee and installed the new wine cooler. Fast forward 3 weeks, I did a small test by sliding a piece of cardstock in between freezer and the new wine cooler. Low and behold, it came out all wet. It turns out when these fridges are installed less than 6 inches apart (which is the case for almost ALL column installations), they need to have either insulation or a heater kit in between to avoid condensation. Thermador did not tell me this (because they don't know how far apart the fridges will be installed) but they said Lev, as an installer, should have known. When I talked to him, he said he has never seen that part installed but since it was causing problems for me, he would come back and install it for free! That's why he gets 5 stars from me. He was the only good part of this whole 3 month ordeal with Thermador.

I felt taken advantage of due to my lack of technical knowledge about appliance repairs. Because of this, I would not use his service again and recommend others ask for a detailed quote and parts breakdown beforehand, better yet, find someone more reasonable.

He does great work and charges what I think are very reasonable prices for the level of skill and quality involved. The first call was at my mother-in-law's house, where Eli diagnosed a broken compressor in her refrigerator that had stopped cooling. He did a great job working with my mother-in-law whose first language is not English. She was very happy. A few days later, he came to our house after some interior lights stopped working following a deep cleaning. He fixed the lights, then went well beyond that. Our freezer door hinge wiring harness had snapped nearly every wire inside, which had also taken out the ice maker. I'd honestly written the ice maker off after a few failed attempts to repair it myself, but Eli came in and showed it could absolutely be fixed, and done right. He patiently soldered and extended close to ten broken wires, heat-sealing and re-sheathing each one so the same failure wouldn't happen again. His fix also cost much less than replacing the whole door which was what I thought was going to have to be done. Finally, when we noticed water pooling under the refrigerator a few days later, Eli came back and dug into the back of the unit to clear a clogged compressor drain. He cleaned everything out in the process and helped put everything back together perfectly. It's more than just his expertise that I appreciated. Eli is friendly, honest, easy to work with, and a just a nice guy. He also took the time to engage with our three-and-a-half-year-old son, who was glued to every step of the repairs at our house, and made him feel like part of the project.
