Joy Appliance Repair fixed the faulty fan of our built-in Thermador refrigerator (the defroster stopped working and the fan broke). Joyo, the owner, was very responsive in providing us with an estimate, ordering the right parts, and completing the repair. This was not a cheap fix (I guess that's part of the price you pay for a built-in Thermador refrigerator), and time will tell if our refrigerator keeps running smoothly, but we're grateful for Joyo's service and experience. Joyo is knowledgeable about Thermador's products, design, and manufacturing. If you have a Thermador, don't bother calling their service line - just call Joy Appliance Repair and get your fridge fixed. When our Thermador refrigerator started making rumbling noises, we knew something wasn't right. We suspected the fan was failing because the bottom drawer compartment was no longer feeling cold to the touch. After calling Thermador's service line and being told nonchalantly, "it's probably the fan freezing over" and "no way will your fridge die on you", we scheduled a service appointment with a Thermador technician (the earliest appointment was a week out). Lo and behold, 48 hours after that service call, our fridge stopped making noises - because it had stopped working altogether. Another call into the Thermador service line was met with total apathy, so we threw out all the food in the fridge and hung our hopes on our scheduled Thermador technician visit. Fast forward to the day of our appointment, and the technician cancels at the last minute, one hour into our arrival window. Customer service does not care - they simply reschedule us, this time two weeks out. At this point, we've purchased an emergency mini fridge, and we're scrolling through Yelp reviews in search of a refrigeration repair person who's familiar with Thermador and won't flake out on us. In comes Joy Appliance Repair to the rescue - Joyo examined our fridge, explained to us exactly what happened with the fan (apparently it's a known issue with this Thermador model), and laid out a plan for obtaining the parts and completing the repair. It took a few days for him to get the right parts and about 2 hours for the repair itself. His pricing was upfront and transparent, and we appreciated his clear and prompt communication. We won't hesitate to call on Joyo again if we experience issues with our Thermador appliances (fingers crossed we don't)!

Joyo of Joy Appliance repair was super responsive and offered to come the next day. When that didn't work for us and I offered two days out, he said he could come same-day instead! He charges a diagnosis fee for the visit, which you can apply toward the repair if you go with him for the repair. They diagnosed what they suspected to be the issue and said they'd order the part and come back. They honestly warned us that if this doesn't fix the issue it might be a more expensive repair, but they hoped this less expensive repair would do the trick. They offered an additional cleaning service as well for an additional fee, but we declined. He sent us a formal quote and time estimate for the part to arrive. We agreed to the work and about a week later our fridge in working condition again! Overall, Joy Appliance was super responsive, quick, communicative, and effectively fixed our fridge! Thanks for your service; it's a relief to have a working freezer again.

That made a huge difference in both the decisions we made and the final result. Their communication throughout the process was excellent. They were responsive, clear, and willing to engage thoughtfully with detailed questions, even when we were trying to understand more nuanced behavior of the system. I never felt brushed off or pressured into a quick decision. After installation, we had a specific question about how one of the zones was behaving. Rather than dismissing it, they came out, spent several hours diagnosing the system, and made adjustments to ensure it was working as intended. That level of follow-through and willingness to dig into the details really stood out. Four months later, the system is now working well, and we feel confident in both the install and the support behind it. If you're looking for a team that treats HVAC as a system to be designed and tuned -- not just sold -- North Breeze is a great choice.

    5 stars for the customer service, responsiveness, and communication…read more I needed my Viking range serviced as my oven would reach temperature and then fluctuate below/above by 50 degrees. Not a good thing when you're baking and end up with dry cupcakes and flat cookies. I called up Airport Appliance where I purchased my range but no longer in business and given the Viking Range (1888-845-4641) support. Based on location I was referred to De Anza Appliance in San Jose. Chris was very friendly, responsive and mentioned at the onset the visit would be $200. Ouch! Whaddya gonna do when you need it fixed and only trust and Authorized Viking Repair place. Ofa was sent for the service call and arrived within the timeframe promised. Friendly, thorough and professional. Fortunately, not a big issue and corrected with a visit as wiring was hitting metal and throwing off the temperature. In 5 mins he had diagnosed the problem as a faulty compressor. Unfortunately repair would cost more than the fridge so his recommendation was to buy a new fridge.
