The wait was a bit longer than expected, but it was pretty busy there as it was a Saturday morning. They have limited seating so be mindful if you go during peak hours. I ordered the sunrise with bacon, it wasn't anything special, my eggs were decent and lacked flavor. The croissant was hollow and undercooked on the inside, but had a buttery/honey crust which I enjoyed. The bacon however was delicious. My husband and I took a trip to Fredericksburg for the first time for his birthday week and came to Zulys all 3 mornings we were here. The food is excellent and so is the service! Madison is so friendly and informative. I got the eggs Benedict with haloumi cheese (forgot what exactly it was called), then the scrambled eggs and croissant, and lastly scrambled eggs and arepa. Nobody greeted us when we walked in. When I asked two different employees how to get a table one couldn't speak English and the other was super confused by my request. I ordered the sweet tea and it was advertised as cold and refreshing....it came in a plastic cup with zero ice. When my very expensive food arrived to the table I asked the employee for some hot sauce. I even named off a few popular ones (tapatio, cholula). The employee brought me butter and syrup. Food was getting cold so I went to the counter myself and asked yet another confused employee if they had any hot sauce. Gave them a few popular examples once again and they said they don't have hot sauce, only salsa. STOCK HOT SAUCE, it's a very normal condiment. Last but not least we ordered three different items from their bakery Togo. And they all sucked. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WILL NOT BE BACK. read more

We came here on Sunday there was a small wait, no problem there, its to be expected on the weekend. We grabbed a coffee while we waited. Once seated it took a few for the waitress to stop by, again it was busy no problem there. We ordered and about 10 minutes later a large group came in and went through the to-go line. We waited and waited, nothing no one checked on us or explained anything. The large group starts to recieve their to-go orders even though they ordered after us. We have been waiting for about an hour now. The large group has left. No one has checked in on us the entire time. We finally flag down our waitress and ask why we have not recieved anything and guest who came in after us have. We were told they prioritize to- go orders and there were still 3 orders ahead of us. We were told we could leave if we didnt want to wait. No apologies or offer to get a manager. We opted to leave. I understand kitchens get backed up but this was ridiculous. I have never been anywhere that doesnt work on a first come first serve and doesnt prioritize dine in over dine out. Very disappointed in an otherwise cute place. I can say the coffee was good, but no coffee is so good I would want to come to place that doesnt respect or value their customers. read more

My family and I traveled from Houston for an event in town and went to breakfast at this restaurant which looks nice on the surface but in reality our experience was terrible. We ordered poached eggs which lacked flavor and were overcooked and the plating was tasteless and it looked like they just threw them on the plate and that was it. Another dish we ordered was the appetizers and it was exactly the same bad experience because the dough with which they are made is very hard, dry and the avocado filling seemed several days old, the meat was salty and unpleasant tasting. The only good thing is the coffee and the bread. Money thrown away, I honestly do not recommend the food at all and I think I am not the only one who thinks the same thing because at the nearby tables you could see the plates with all the food on them. read more
