    Terrace

Best Poke in Davis! High quality ingredients, tasty sauces and large portions - try it out if you haven't yet. Orders can be made online on in the restaurant and can be taken to go or on site. A nice little terrace offers a great option for lunch.

Still a huge fan of this place - since the beginning, the quality of their poke and all of their ingredients have been excellent and it's the easiest thing in the world to order online and then pick up the to-go order, which is always ready when you want it. For me, the small size is perfect - but I recently ordered the large so I could have some leftovers and try even more of the options. My go-to's are the traditional and the salmon poke, always with rice, the cucumbers, crab salad, ginger, edamame and seaweed salad. Sometimes with some furikake. Every last sauce I have tried have been wonderful - my favorites are usually the spicy mayo or the peanut chili but it depends on my mood. Service is always friendly and speedy - and there is always parking spot perfect for picking up without the drudgery of looking for a parking space downtown.

3 scoops of protein in this one
    Jenn V.

Was hit with a nice reminder of inflation when I had lunch here earlier. $19 for a bowl of poke?!?! Goodness. That was for 3 scoops of protein. The larger bowl, with 5 scoops, was a couple bucks more. Ordering was pretty simple. Pick your size - 3 scoops or 5 scoops of protein, pick your base - rice, salad or half and half, pick your proteins, pick 1-2 sauces which you can also have on the side, pick up to 10 sides, and pick up to two toppings. The fish was fresh and tasty. All the sauces, sides and toppings complemented the protein well. Portions are generous so given the price it's worth it. This is more of a grab and go spot, so while there is a bit of indoor and outdoor seating, you'll find most folks just getting their food for takeout. Last, I haven't tried ordering online, but seems to be a good option to skip the wait. I just went in during lunch and ordered in line and the wait wasn't bad at all.

Great food and ambiance. This is one of my regular spots, but since recently they have switched from paper bowls to plastic and honestly I don't feel like coming as often anymore. I hope it's a temporary issue, but it's been happening for quite some time, so I'm afraid there's no plan to return. I just feel disgusted producing so much trash even when eating in.

Tiny amount of avocado for $1.50, not even fresh looking

Good in person but delivery I have had repeated bad experiences. They are really stingy with the delivery. The sauces aren't full and they gave me this tiny amount of not so green looking avocado even though I paid extra to have it. Also they are too cheap to give utensils or napkins with the delivery.

    Delicious poke bowl!!!

My vacation turned into a flu-cation I had a craving for poke, and had to rely on Door Dash for some of my meals. The selections of restaurants were limited, so I chose Zumapoke. When I took the lid off the poke I was pleasantly surprised by the cutting of the vegetables, and fish!! Everything was presented beautifully!!! Cucumbers were thinly sliced, crab was finely mixed, soy beans lightly blanched, and fish was evenly cubed!!! The whole bowl was delicious!!!!

I love this place!! And the portions are amazing. During Covid they did pick up and it was so easy and even afterwards you can still order in advance and the take away is so easy. The kids bowls are a big hit too. This is one of our favorite spots in davis.

Looking for a quick dinner with friends so we stopped by this poke place to grab food to bring home. Even though they were almost about to close and all the chairs were already put away, they still let us order and patiently waited for us to decide what exactly we wanted! It's $15 for a regular bowl with 3 scoops of rice and $17 for a large with 5 scoops of rice. You can also get crab salad and seaweed salad as toppings too (but avocado and masago costs extra to add). I got a large to try more kinds of fish: - garlic shrimp (favorite) - poke salmon (also favorite) - oyster salmon - spicy tuna - ahi tuna I liked the salmon and shrimp more than the tuna but it's also hard to get super fresh tuna, so if I were to go again I'll probably just stick with the top two. I also like how they have marinated options though instead of just regular fish that they add sauce to. Also appreciate how they let me get sauces to the side instead of automatically adding it in (I assumed the marinated fish would be flavorful enough). They're pretty generous with the amount of fish/toppings packed into one takeout container and didn't miss any of the toppings I wanted!

    Andrea N.

i liked this place! the vibe isn't as good as good friends and it's more expensive, but the quality of the fish is definitely better :)

Absolutely amazing! HUGE bang for your buck here, fish is high quality and the modifications are endless, can't beat it! I travel to Davis twice a year and this is a can't miss every trip!

Shout out for West Sacramento…read more.. Did you know that right in West Sacramento there is a seafood stand selling fresh sustainable caught hook n line fish plucked from the Bodega Bay? Well know you do... Ferrari Fisheries has a stand that sells black cod, ling cod, red snapper which all are year round catches; and seasonal Dungeness crab and salmon. When they have a fresh caught batch; they text their customers what is available catch, and time & date. To get their text notifications; you can sign up on their website. I was fortunate enough to get to their stand early enough on a notification day to buy a couple of Dungeness crabs. The crabs were live, priced at $11/pound. Awesome price! When you get to the stand, there are two lines. The first line you want to get into is the one nearest the big containers where the fish on ice or crabs are kept. If you want your fish filleted, let them know. It is a complimentary service. Then you head into the other line to pay. They take cash and card, I'm not sure about other payment types. Keep in mind, the inventory sells quickly especially the seasonal items. Folks queue up earlier than the opening time stated in the texts. The start time was 10am; I got there at 10:20 am. They sold out as I was leaving the stand. Anthony (owner and fishing captain), his wife, and team are terrific. They all were helpful and had the best attitudes. Welcoming. I'm sure they answer the same questions over and over. But when talking with each customer, they were engaged and provided individual attention. Top notch customer service!

My favorite thing about lunch today (5/7/26) was the service. The food was good, but the service was excellent. Upon arrival, my first time here I peered into the interior of the restaurant to see if my relative had arrived. I was immediately greeted by a very nice young man behind the counter. I exited the building and sat down at one of their exterior tables so my cousin could easily spot me, and the same very nice young man came out and brought me a menu to review while I was waiting for my cousin to arrive. Great spicy food and friendly staff. Food (10/10) - The food here is AMAZING! Perfect balance of spice to flavor and every single bite is electric. The sichuan numbing pepper in the Chongqing soup was DELICIOUS. Mix it with some of the white rice and you have a dish all by iteself. The chicken itself had a nice chew and was very fragrant. Loved the texture and flaovr of the vermicelli; nice bounce to the noodles while soaking in all the spicy soup. My one complaint would be that they have soft bones (sign of long boiling time) so be careful of that! Also got the spicy stir-fried pork kidney... don't diss it 'til you try it. Super good, with that nice bit of chew. Take a bite of pepper, kidney, and white rice and BOOM! Perfect bite. **Recommendation: Rice is a key component for the dishes here. Without rice, everything will be too spicy, too savory, and overall too overwhelming. The rice is the thing that helps tie everything together (as it frequently is) Service (8/10) - Good service; nothing notable. Nice people and I think most of them speak Mandarin. Service and seating was also fast. Order of things to come out of the kitchen was a bit strange: soup for the chicken, rice, stir-fry, chicken. Honestly, not that big of a problem but just decided to comment. Price (8/10) - The price here is a bit on the pricier side; $54 for 2 but there were some leftovers (had to make my own rice though). Some of the dishes are more worth than others. The Chonqing chicken was $25 but you got a large bowl of chicken with soup and vermicelli. On the other hand, the stir-fry for $20 was notably padded with vegetables and I would say a majority of the dish was not the kidney. At the very least, the taste of the food compensates. However, this place is likely not a college go-to. Overall, great restaurant that I will be coming back to again (maybe with my parents LOL) or at the very least, would come with a large group as it is more fitting for family style.
