I came in here with my teenage daughter right after they opened and every single person working at this store was beyond helpful and extremely kind. Everyone went out of their way to pull jeans for her in many styles,colors and sizes. It was so amazing to see such great customer service. They made both of us feel special. A large selection of great merchandise we are always a fan of Zumiez in our own hometown, however shopping here was a disappointment as the female cashier was not wearing a bra and I found it highly inappropriate since we were shopping with our 12-year-old daughter for school I understand that Zumiez is about expressing your personality, but there is a time and place and I felt like she was too exposed. What a fun store to shop at!! We came here for a pair of the retro 80's Vans shoes. We shopped around online looking for a particular one and found it at this location!! When we arrived, we were quickly greeted! We went straight for the shoes! We found the ones we're interested in. The young gentleman climbed the ladder and found our size. Funny thing, this particular pair ran a little smaller. We needed a half size up! The lady at the register was able to special order a pair online and had it shipped directly to our home!! Awesome!! We then walked around and checked out their store. They sell a nice selection of skateboards/longboards. It was way better than when we were a kid!! You can build your own to your style!! They also have great men's and women's clothing line. There's pants, sweatshirts, hats, shoes, and much more!! Overall, a fun find. It's not a store that we would venture in all the time. I've been a long time shopper at this location as my kids love it and I prefer this mall to the arden mall. Unfortunately today I was extremely disappointed to see the store was just mountains of clothes thrown everywhere. Typically it is so clean! I was also disappointed to find out my favorite employe, Oso, no longer works there. She was always very helpful and got my kids out of their shells. No employee has ever been able to help my kids the way she does so when I found out she works at Vans I definitely made the move over there. It's far too over priced, loud, and an overall unwelcoming place. I hope some changes are made to bring back the zumiez I've personally come to love. read more

I am a Zumiez returning consumer until today I came in at 1:20 pm today and was politely helped by a girl with a Mohawk until a really rude guy in a blue hoodie and hat came and started being very disrespectful. I bought a pair of shoes last week I tried on and didn't fit so I tried to bring it back and that's where the disrespect began. He said " is your house that dirty!!" When the shoes are litteraly never been worn. I am now scared to step into this Roseville mall zumiez because I do not want to be disrespected by him again. I am very upset aswell as frightened. jason was extremely helpful and super respectful, but some other employee, i think named dylan or something with a d, was so incredibly rude. i was genuinely confused about sizing so i walked up to this guy and said "hey im a little confused on the sizing, could you help?" and instead of "yeah sure!" i got hit with a "what are you confused about." in a moderately condescending tone. okay fine moving past that, i tell him whats wrong n stuff and after he poorly explained it, proceeds to say AND I QUOTE; "is it hitting to you yet?" also in a snarky ass tone. i work in customer service myself and being treated like this was absolutely insane to me, i think id rather someone kill me than make me treat a HUMAN BEING like that. i literally left after that because i was actually upset with this guy basically calling me stupid. i think he had to be some sort of supervisor or something because the employees kept asking him for things but idk. read more

So yesterday my boyfriend and I ended up returning to this Zumiez location to make our snowboard package purchase. We could have easily stayed closer to home and went to the Zumiez in Arden or anywhere else nearby but decided to head back to Roseville for their friendly and thorough service. Zelda is the floor manager. She was the one assisting us during our last visit so naturally we worked with her this time as well. She helped us pick out a board and get my boyfriend fitted for boots and bindings. She explained all the pros and cons of the equipment available and what would be best suited for him while getting our best bang for our buck. You can tell Zelda has a strong passion for the sport and knows her stuff. From start to finish service was above and beyond and for $323.00 we're set to ride the mountain! (Believe me, we've been to at least 5 different sport stores and other Zumiez locations and nothing compares to the service and information we got at this store.) read more

I usually get great customer service from this location, however tonight when I wanted to exchange a shirt that shrunk an entire size the manager on duty said that it is against policy to take something back that's been washed. WHAT? How am I supposed to know something is going to shrink until it's washed? Even the cashier seemed shocked how much it shrank. To tell me that the company would take a loss if they took it back is 100% ridiculous and poor customer service. I need a call back from a manager ASAP read more

Excellent customer service. The girl in back was applying paper to the decks of boards and answering our questions. I didn't intend for her to have to juggle so much but she told us to ask. She was friendly, kind, energetic and cheerful. My son and I needed boots and bindings for his snowboarding. We went to Zumiez in the Galleria mall Roseville. Even though the shop was full of people we were approached right away and asked if they could help. I explained what we needed and we were lead to the salesperson that took care of these items. Right away I was surprised at how friendly and knowledgeable the staff was. I talked to 4 different staff members and was treated with respect and friendliness. They took care of my son's needs carefully and expertly. All in all a great experience. The fact that it was 5pm on Black Friday was especially surprising. They've got two new customers here. Shopping for school clothes with my 13 year old grandchild can be challenging. We had spent 2 days shopping and had 1 pair of specialty socks to show for it. Not too good for so many choices in a big mall!! We walked in to the store on day 3 and were overwhelmed by the choices! The store was busy and intimidating for a 13 year old. Quickly an angel appeared in the form of the assistant manager by the name of Nikki! OMG! She took control of my grandchild, treated her like a VIP, gave her undivided attention and made suggestions, gave constructive criticism on choices and thankfully pointed out that socks with pot leaves on them were pretty much frowned upon at every Jr Hi Nikki was aware of. My grandchild had the best shopping experience ever! Which in turn gave ME the best shopping experience ever! Nikki was professional, engaging, knowledgable of her client demographic and was an excellent salesperson. No wonder she's in management! Nikki needs to be a trainer for this chain! We spent $600 and I was happy to do it. Every item was thoughtfully chosen and we're still happy with every choice. No returns. Not one!! We wanted to take Nikki home to our Chico store! . We will drive to Roseville (90 minutes!) to shop with Nikki for as long as she works there. Best customer service I've seen in a long time. My background? Customer Service Management! Love this place! I have to now young adult sons. Christmas time is tough being a mom and not knowing what is cool at the moment. I wish I knew the manager's name but he has been there for years, he is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about today's trends. He literally asks me what the boys are into and gets me in the right section It's my One-Stop Christmas shop. They definitely have the biggest selection of brands that are not found in other places. I absolutely love this place!! Sometimes they try and push a sale on you by constantly asking if you need help. Which can be a bit annoying when your just window shopping with the G/F to get Christmas ideas. But when I did visit this store to do my Christmas shopping (minus the Girlfriend) I got some really good suggestions from the girls working there. And helped me put together a sexy ass outfit (since I'm terrible and making things match and figuring what goes with what) =) But other than that, I love the new arrivals, and the occasional clearance rack. And how friendly and well maintained the store was. 5 Stars from me, and once the holidays are over and I can do some shopping for myself, this will be the first place I stop by. read more

so today i was in the galleria with a couple of friends looking for shirts for my guy friend. he immediately went to the back of the store to look at the MENS t-shirts. one of the employees followed him very closely & asked numerous questions. example : do you know what you want ? what do you want ? what do you need ? my friend repeatedly turned him down because he didn't need any help. me & my other friend waiting towards the front their the cash register & we flipped through the rack. i was talking to her when he came up & kept staring at me. personally he never talked to me or asked me a question. i told my friend about a text i had got & he just stood there like he was part of the conversation. i felt uncomfortable & i wasn't looking to spend my money there so i left & sat at some nearby chairs. my friends left zumiez about a minute or so later & they looked mad. i asked what had happened & i guess the SAME employee that was staring me down ACUSSED my friends of shoplifting. he had an empty bag from another store bc he bought my other friend a makeup related item and she put it in her bag to not get their stuff mixed . the employee applied they were stealing & before my friends could even fire back he assured " i'm not assuming anything " . he clearly thought with the empty bag was for shoplifting . i really used to enjoy zumiez i have made friends with the employees but this little white skater boy employee can suck my ass. read more

I don't know if we just hit them on the right night or if this place is really just freaking amazing. I took my 12yo to buy a custom board that he saved his money to buy. I have learned not to expect much from mall shop clerks. They are usually aloof, faux-hipsterish hot topic refugees. Not the Zumies crew. The two people working there were inclusive, friendly, attentive and helpful. Already they get an A for customer service, but the lady working there knocked it out of the park. She is SO good with kids. She took my son behind the counter and taught him how to build his board. She was engaging and encouraging. Honestly, I've never seen anything like it outside of a school. She said she has worked in skate shops for ten years but is studying to be a teacher. If she treats her students the way she treated my son, she is going to be a rock star. My advice: shop here before she graduates LOL read more
