Extremely happy with this company. Originally had this company move us from Trabuco Canyon back in November 2023 into a 20X10' storage unit in Irvine. The crew worked fast. We had already boxed most of our contents. They took apart furniture, protect wrapped it all, and moved the boxes and furniture into storage in about 5 hours. Storage unit full to capacity. Was so happy with them, we called then back after our new home was remodeled (March 2024) and asked for the same crew (Gilmer, Melvin and Ivan). We got them and they moved us into our new home in Irvine in 4 1\2 hours, including reconstructing furniture. They were great both times. read more

Zuni movers missed the mark. I spent almost 4K for a small move and they missed multiple cabinets of stuff. The owner also quoted me a number and wrote on the contract that the move would not exceed $3200 and then they asked for a check at the end for $3550. I've gone back and forth with them trying to resolve the issue and they are non responsive because I stupidly paid them what they asked (I didn't do the math until afterwards). Poor business practice in my opinion. Find a better priced and honest moving company if you can. read more

Inexperienced and irresponsible. They used power tools to reassemble our Saarinen Tulip dining table and drilled through the marble top in two places. To "fix" it they had someone glue the marble pieces back into the top. Not exactly fixed. You really can't glue stone back together. Now we have to replace the marble top and the company is not taking responsibility for the repairs. read more

It's frustrating to write this review because I just used Zuni Movers for the 5th time in 17 months. Each time spending approx $1500. This last time was my final divorce move & it cost $1500. But this time I was incorrectly charged $75 for packing materials in error & only 30 min lunch was deducted from the hours when they took 70mins lunch (I live in a gated community so can prove this). Despite a phone call (Mary said she would get back to me but didn't) & then multiple emails I was returned $100 as a "fair compromise" as opposed to the $155 that I was owed. It's a matter of professional integrity, both for a repeat customer & because factually I was mischarged. I hope the $55 you saved was worth it guys. read more

Recently, last week, I had a small job of, moving new furniture from the garage to an upstairs office and then moving office furniture to a new down stairs office. if you want to know the meaning of efficiency, watch this crew work. They never had an empty hand going upstairs or downstairs. Always carrying an item. During the first hour on of the movers called me upstairs to show me that he found a $100.00 bill that was probable behind the desk for years. I've just had the most amazing experience. I moved 17 months ago and used a mover " highly recommended" by an acquaintance. Biggest mistake ever! They literally held our possessions captive for thousands of dollars. The story is a nightmare and not what you need to know. Because we moved to (our version) of paradise our neighbors decided to follow us. My daughter moved in this time frame and used Zuni. They were great for her, so our friends hired them as well. This is what you need to know, Zuni Moving is so good, so honest, so helpful that they make the whole experience comfortable. Moving isn't fun! But when you hire Zuni they are on your team. It's the best feeling! I just spent the day helping our friends unpack and I am in shock with the difference in the two moves. The owner of Zuni, Myra, stopped by. She immediately began unpacking boxes as she supervised her crew. My primary job was furniture placement. It was a difficult job as all the furniture was antique. There was no "automatic" placement. Those gentleman cheerfully moved pieces up the stairs and back down. Some of them twice as we worked to figure out this difficult life size jig saw puzzle. Myra oversaw everything with such a cheerful attitude and worked at double speed non stop. She took trash away, donations to appropriate locations and looked for anything else she could do to help my friends out. I can't say enough good things about Zuni Movers. Mayra came to my home a week before the move to give me an estimate. She had great suggestions for packing and her quote was competitive. The guys that came to my home (Hector, Francisco, Edwin and Kevin) were careful with my furniture and other belongings. They took care to protect walls and flooring while moving out of my old home and into my new one. They showed up on time, worked hard all day and were very friendly and polite. Worst experience ever. I have always been skeptical of hiring movers. This company was referred to me from a realtor. I moved to a 3rd story floor apartment. Two flights of stairs. Zuni sent me 2 small guys to move my belongings. I had everything prepared, wrapped, packed and ready. They were so slow in getting my belongings out of the old place and just as slow getting into the new place. Myself and my friend helped them every step of the way. They didn't care how they delivered the belongings. I noticed a crack in my cement coffee table after as well as a crack in the frame around a standing mirror. To top it all off --- once they finished, they backed their moving truck into my new car that was not even a year old. The driver tried pulling away and luckily I had a nice neighbor whom came out and flagged them down to stop them and took pictures. There still are good people on this world . When I called the owner Mayra, she offered to take my car to Tijuana to get my car fixed. Yes I said Tijuana. She didn't want to involve insurance. Ending to this story- My car is fixed through Tustin Auto Works, awesome and efficient by the way! Come to find this company has no insurance. My insurance company has been trying to reach out for 3 weeks now. Lesson learned here- try not to hire movers. If you have to make sure they are insured . read more

Had an exceptional experience with Zuni movers! Really cool guys.. Pretty easy move from my storage down the street to the house we just moved into. We agreed to the two hour special they were running. Went well over that time and the extra charges was reasonable for the work that was done. The two guys set up my bed which was damaged by the last movers and creatively rigged it together, so I didn't have to get a new foundation. They moved all my heavy furniture up stairs so I could save my back, and offered to set up anything I needed. They did happen to scratch the teak floors, which where already scratched in several areas, so I wouldn't have known. They owned up to it and took full responsibility. They even took pictures and had corporate document it and contacted me to let me know what I wanted to do. Super professional, would be happy to use again and recommend to others. read more

I usually never write up Yelp reviews, but I was extremely disappointed in using Zuni Movers yesterday for my move. Although the movers were nice, respectful, and showed up on time. I cannot believe how much I paid for a 2 bedroom apartment move. My roommate and I prior to the move spent 3 nights moving all the small stuff as Mayra made sure I was aware that it would be better and more efficient. We didn't even bring all our heavy furniture to this new place. We left 4 chairs, a sofa seat, a table, and a dresser. And it took them 5.5 hours and charged me $810. This is not my first move and I've never had movers take this long and charge that much. I signed up for the move but as I did this very move last year with the same price/hour and 3 men the other movers did it under 4 and it was not even close to $810 and it was the same distance in moving. I moved from Dana Point to San Clemente. I would never use or recommend Zuni movers again. Also the crew took an hour lunch and marked it as 30 min. I had 3 movers by the way. Also I asked them not to close my garage, and they did and now it's broken. read more

THE WORST!! This review is long over due, but AVOID this place at all costs and don't waste your time. We got a call from Mary stating they could take us the next day due a cancellation. Booked it! We had a lot of furniture to donate and we told them upfront. They gave us a price point, time, and even said we'll take your furniture to be donated. Come the day of for them to move our things. Keep in mind we were only asking for them to move ONE BED, ONE DRESSER, ONE WASHER, ONE DRYER, and FRIDGE. It started off with two guys. Mary called and said there supposed to be somewhere else and left. Don't ask me why or don't ask me why it was so unprofessional for them to pack one bed and just leave... in their mustang and not even a moving truck. I called and asked to give me a time frame for their return and Mary said don't worry about it we have it covered we won't charge you for the extra time they need to pack since they left. An hour or two later Mayra, Mary, and their whole team came into my house and say IT WAS TOO MUCH. They priced us $200 more! Imagine the disgust we felt. I get it, the donation pile was a lot, but you didn't have to do it, you offered. At this point we just kicked them out. THE WORST AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL. Told our realtor to tell her and her colleagues to NEVER refer anyone here again. I'm giving Zuni one star because I'm STILL waiting for the owner of this company to respond to my complaint and refund $. I was charged for more time than the movers worked. If you hire Zuni movers (and I don't know why you would), document the time they arrive, time they leave for lunch, time they return & start work, and time they leave. The movers language is Spanish, mine isn't. If you have a dispute with the invoice when they hand it to you-good luck. Guess you never answer a text !!! We should have read your yelp reviews!!!! My daughter is pregnant. This stress and misinformation was not necessary! You quoted 4-6 hours and bait and switched to NINE hours. The incompetence and lack of common sense was seen as soon as they arrived. My son -in-law was very prepared for this move. The garage was filled to the brim with boxes. He consciously brought down most of them to help the movers. He was familiar with the third story stair challenge. His last move was from a third floor to a third floor. It was done in six hours! Your employees left my daughter's clothes in the closet. There were very few items left for this return trip! My son-in-law videoed this as proof of this wasted time. They were gone one hour and forty minutes. They claimed they had a half hour lunch and the rest of the time getting the few things left behind. It could have been accomplished in 30 minutes. All three men were putting the crib together. This is a one man job. The truck was not empty at this time. One was holding the screws. There lack of experience and inept actions lengthened the whole process. Anthony was helpful with a great attitude. No one seemed to be supervising the process. Is that how you train your help to waste time to get more $$$$. They were quoted 4 to 6 hours which was the last moves time. They were even fifteen minutes late. You charged for nine hours. Excuses were made about the third floor difficult job. We will definitely add to the negative yelp reviews. Two hour overcharge needs to be refunded. read more
