Very careless movers. They left behind some signage (that included my name) and a box of tax documents in the closet -- yet somehow managed to bring over a mirror sitting right next to the signs and everything else from the closet. When I called, mgmt told me "clients should take special care with special items" and was dismissive. They refused to take my calls. I called, texted and emailed a dozen times requesting a refund. And before people say I should have checked, I have a really bad back & a senior so I was down that day & the next, the movers told me to go to the new place and they would finish (300' away), I trusted them. I didn't realize anything was missing until my neighbor friends told me that they saw my items in the dumpster. Moving is stressful enough -- Best Priced Moving only made it worse. I had to hire movers at the last possible minute. John called me up immediately during business hours to respond to my request made the night before. He was friendly, kind and helpful! The estimate they offered was BEYOND reasonable - his competitors were priced 2-3x what he quoted! I only had a small 1BR to move - he quoted me $570 - I had other movers quoting me 800-$1300! He quickly drew up papers and we were in business for my move 2 days later. The/his movers surprised me by being 15 minutes early when I know this industry is notorious for being behind. They were quick, efficient and communicative throughout loading and unloading. A move they thought would take ~3 hours took barely 1.5hrs! Nothing was damaged in the move and they even offered to help me put furniture together with the time leftover. We used Best Priced moving for a corporate move. I got several bids and this was by far the best priced quote. I am sometimes skeptical of the lowest quote, however John, Adrian, Vinnie, Sergio and Jay were more than fantastic. John is extremely communicative, flexible with dates and times and the moving team is so so fast. We had them pack up the entire office, dis-assemble desk, unhook flat screen TV's, re-assemble furniture and more. In addition, we added lots of other small jobs, moving furniture for paint and carpet, helping get a large delivery up to the third floor of our new building. I'm updating this review......it's been a couple months since our review/move. As we've unpacked items, we've found a bunch of our stuff broken, severely scratched, etc. The team was very prompt and super professional, however, as I'm discovering so many items severely damaged we can no longer recommend this company. We should have spent a bit more money and hired a full-service company who would actually package our items/furniture professionally..... SUPER DISAPPOINTED! **************************** We hired John and his team to help us move our 2700 ft home in So. Cal, to a 1000 ft home in Northern California.. His team was led by Adrian, accompanied by 4 other gentlemen. They packed up about 30% of our items (as we had done quite a bit of packing earlier), and drove them all up to Northern California where they placed them in our new home, as well as an off-site storage we had to rent. During the whole process the guys communicated very well with us, were extremely pleasant, very polite, and worked very very hard during the 2.5 days they were with us. They took great care of our carpet making sure they didn't track anything in from the outside, and were extremely careful about the walls, not one scratch that we could tellJust a really really great group of guys to work with during this stressful time for us. They were very accommodating with any requests we had. A special THANK YOU to Adrian and Keith for accommodating our multiple requests, and always with a huge smile! John the owner, was very easy to work with and always very informative and available. Although a few things could have been packed a bit more carefully, overall the experience was great!! One thing we will do next time is to get the additional insurance to ensure it covers anything that might be broken. So here's the deal we have moved more times than we want to count but I can tell you it's been a dozen in 25 years. We have moved local, long distance and out of state. If you think things are gonna go perfect with your move well guess what...IT WILL NOT!! Your moving your whole house into one or two trucks for heavens sakes! And then there's mother nature who is out of our control and we've been through it; in the snow, rain, and excessive heat!! However, here's the good news. You can hire people who are reliable, have a good work ethic's, a hard working crew and that you can rely on to SHOW UP & trust, etc and get the job done right. This is your company look no further and their prices are very competitive. Just to throw out an example of trust I found an expensive ring of mine laying on the floor in the closet that must've fallen out of one of my jewelry boxes. Yes, you heard that right it was still laying there on the floor and trust me the ring was large enough to be seen and easily slipped into a workers pocket. They showed up early when they said they would try to arrive the next morning after having a very hot day at another long distance prior move. They only took a couple small breaks when the inside of our house was 81° because the weather was at 100° at their drop off. It was nice to hear the guys laugh and talk to one another as well as work as a full team effort to get the job done. They knew exactly what they were doing from taking furniture apart to putting it back together. Moving onto the owner of the small business. I was on a budget due to a hardship I was going through with my 2 young boys. I called around and was astonished at the prices to move me into a one bedroom on a second story. Thought I was going to have to rent a truck and hire some guys off the street. I got this number from my brother and decided to request a quote. First there was no minimum hours to meet and second my quote was something I could afford IF it was completed in two hours. I stressed that it would take longer but as soon as the guys got there they hustled and went straight to work. About two years ago we used Best Priced Moving to move from San Diego to Dana Point and left a very positive Yelp review. It pains me to write this about a small local business, especially during the pandemic, but I can say that after using this company a second time we will never use their service again. We had a three-man crew lead by the owner's son move do our local move. This was completely amateur hour watching their crew deal with a lightly furnished three-bedroom home. Issues: - Showed up late. - Filled up 3/4 of the truck and then noticed there was a lot more stuff they needed to load up and that they didn't pack things very well. They pulled out half the truck and reloaded adding about 30 mins (costing me $68 in their hourly labor rate). - I saw them literally toss one of my $2,800 furniture sets on the very top of the pile. They damaged an outdoor coffee table. At their industry standard $0.60 per lb insurance that would be an $18 check for an item that is worth several hundred dollars. - I saw individuals of their crew attempt to carry parts of my $3,000 sectional couch solo. Dropping the pieces on the ground and having to re-grip. Rolling the wrapped furniture on the ground to try to lift the pieces into the truck. Why not use a second person on an item you know was high value and important to the customer? - Icing on the cake was that they left two electric bikes at the house. They had no plans to tell me! They were about to leave and I asked them where my two electric bikes were. They said, OH! Well, we ran out of space. Do you want us to go back to get them? They wanted to charge me to go back and get them! Completely unprofessional. - I start to unpack my items two months later and start to see the wear and tear they created on my furniture even though I had them use 20 moving blankets I purchased before the move. The damage to my items is by no means extreme, but it starts to add up after you start to unwrap furniture and start to scratch your head at how they could have possibly been damaged during the move. Most of this damage would have been completely avoided by an experienced crew. I completely regret giving the young guys on this crew a tip. I guess I was naive to think that because these items were wrapped in moving blankets it would protect them from their careless actions. To be honest the worst part of the experience was dealing with the owner John. During my last move, the guy was extremely nice in welcoming me to the community. It was the reason I went with this company a second time. This time around he called after my move and asked how things went. I detailed the issues I encountered. His response was in my opinion extremely aggressive and defensive. You can tell a lot about a business when they have to deal with service recovery. Are they going to make you feel like crap when confronted with mistakes they made? After our call he contacted his son. He then called back and then kind of chalked it up to a he-said/she-said type of scenario where he couldn't decipher what really happened and apologized that I wasn't pleased with their service. TLDR: You are better off with another company that uses more experienced crews. My neighbors used another Orange County moving company and it was like night and day. read more

I contracted with this company for a short-distance move. I was impressed with their reviews and that they also provided moving services for businesses. Our expectations were high. Our previous experience with movers who were veterans was stellar. Unfortunately, I could not locate the firm for our move. Fast forward to our experience with BPM. My wife and I were aghast, and the seemingly cavalier packing of dishes, artwork, furniture, bookcases, lamps, and assorted heirlooms. They packed these items without much packing material and randomly put them in a truck and trailer. I closed my eyes as I knew the unpacking was going to be ugly. We have lots of broken items and when I complained, the fellow said I didn't buy the right packing blankets. I told him, you don't pack china and valuables with blankets! Plus, during the move, they fired someone, apparently for slacking off. All I can say is stay away. This is a business with a high turnover. If you value your possessions, use Mayflower or another reputable firm. read more

I was a little nervous about using a moving company rather than rounding up family and friends to help us move like we have always done in the past. I met with John over the phone and he was as professional as they get and he took the time to break it all down so that I felt comfortable. His moving crew showed up early and these guys absolutely amazing. They were extremely polite and VERY hard working. I have already referred them to two of my friends . One last thing, the move cost that we were quoted was another pleasant surprise, It wound up being less than we were quoted and this made it easier to tip the movers, and there was not one scratch on any of the items that we moved. Don't use this company. Showed up an hour late. I had them move furniture and my total was $1555. They told me if you pay cash you would get 5% discount...on my quote it also said this. I almost paid cash but decided to use my credit card anyway and also added $100 tip (even though they were late, I know how hard the 2 guys have to work). When I paid, they said that they would be charging $1655 total to my card. Later in the month I had the $1655 charge on my ccard and also noticed an extra $50 charge. I called to see what that was and they said it was an extra 3% credit card charge. They claimed they told me...which they didn't. This would have made it a 8% discount for cash...on the quote said 5%. John refuses to refund and says that we told you. Why didn't it say 8% discount on the quote and why did he tell me the charge would be $1655 on my ccard? $50 is not much (I tipped double that) but its the principal!!! John was the 3rd of the 5 companies to respond, but was the most professional, most caring and was the only one to follow-up when I hadn't yet made a decision (was swamped with moving in...) It pains me to write this review, as I truly loved working with John (the owner), he is fantastic and honest, but moving requires a lot of time, emotion (i.e.: entrusting strangers with every item you own including a house) and money and I feel it is important to help others when researching movers for this task. The 3 stars are for John and for the fact that the crew was nice enough, and for the reuasable crates (actually a separate company but so great to not deal with boxes!) My displeasure comes from the fact that since we were moving to a new house we purchased, and have a newborn baby, we decided to go all out and get packers and unpackers- a splurge I've never done. The packers were a total waste of money. They worked quickly (5 hours as opposed to the 2 full days alotted). When they were ready to go I asked why so much was still unpacked (full bathrooms, all our hanging clothes in closets, random things in different rooms, pictures and paintings hanging) and was assured this was typical and would be taken care of on moving day. We discovered they used up all the 80 crates and were shocked because we don't have much stuff (we later discovered it's because they packed things horribly! Example: they filled an entire crate with one teddy bear and one moccasin, filled another with a backpack that was wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and tissue. The day of the move they loaded the truck quickly and were about to take off (I was tending to the baby outside) and I stopped them when I realized full closets were still left unpacked! They only brought one wardrobe box (apparently the other was broken but there definitely should have been at least another) so they quickly filled that and then put the rest of my nice work clothes in garbage bags. I found all my dresses balled up at the bottom of the one wardrobe box when we were unpacking later. Since the crates were all loaded they left no room for the rest of our items and so had to pile them into their pickup truck- very unnerving seeing all your bikes, surfboards, baby furniture and nice clothes tossed in the back of a pickup truck (see picture). My husband had to hang back and finish packing up the house and stuffing his car full of stuff- our poor dogs had barely an inch to sit in the car on the hour drive to the new place. Equally unnerving was watching guys carry your clothes across the street as silk tops fall in the grass and road. Ugh. John was extremely accommodating and reimbursed me for a portion of the packers since we were so dissasitisfed. He was responsive and courteous which I appreciated. We paid extra for floor protection At the new house since our life savings went into purchasing it- this turned out to just be a roll of 2 foot wide neoprene rolled out across the hall. John reimbursed me half what I paid for that since it was truly a joke.Thankfully the crew was careful and nothing was damaged. At the house we moved out of there was wall damage but I have been assured they would send someone to fix it in the next few weeks- hopefully we still get back our rental deposit. We proceeded to pull an all nighter after our baby went to bed the next 2 nights to unpack ourselves- we cancelled the unpackers since the packers did not inspire confidence. The haphazard nature in which the boxes were packed created a lot of extra work for us. Luckily John was understanding and reimbursed us for the unpackers we prepaid for. Overall, our stuff was transported from point a to point b with minimal damage, but not without stress. Even with all the reimbursements the move cost more than the service was worth- it amounted to almost the same we paid to move cross country from NYC one year ago. In summary, I'm glad we don't plan to move again for many years! read more

This is the second time I've used them. Overall happy. They are fast, they work hard. I am no happy that there was some damage to one of our dressers and also to the wall leading into the kitchen due to collision with fridge. They had to take the doors off and "butterfly" the fridge in, in doing so they took a 1/2 inch chunk out of the molding on one side and scratched the other. Adrian, told me to have someone fix it and send John the bill. I haven't talked to John about it yet. But I just moved into a new home and really don't have time right now to find some to fix those two things, pay for them, then go to the owner for reimbursement. Three stars because they moving guys were nice and professional. They took a REALLY long time and broke a few things and drug my 6 month old couch and tore the back of it. When I spoke with the owner about the amount of time it took (8 hours for a 675 square foot one bedroom), he became sarcastic and rude. I've done this move many times before and it's never taken longer than 4 hours- my friends recently moved their three bedroom HOUSE and it didn't take the same number of crew members as long as it took my movers. I feel they took advantage of me because I'm a single lady living alone. I wouldn't recommend these people at all, you can get better movers at a better price without them breaking so many things. It was Saturday night and we had been at it for a couple days already, eating pizza not looking forward to the next day. The girlfriend hopped on Yelp and found Best Priced Movers, messaged them. They got right back to us within an hour or so. They were busy the next day, but were available today (Monday) gave me two guy quote & three guy quote. We opted for two guy. The showed up on time, were super nice & very professional. Quick, clean, on top of things. Wrapped everything with blankets & shrink wrap. Quote was spot on and no surprise fees came up. They moved us in to our new place yesterday. It was a three man job. All three guys were friendly and courteous. Found them here on Yelp and booked them based on their reviews. They did not disappoint. Got a quote over the phone and it was right on. They finished a little quicker than they quoted us which was great. All furniture & appliances wrapped, packed, disassembled & assembled as needed. When everything was completed, they asked if there was anything else we needed to have moved. Great bunch of guys. Let's start with what I consider the obvious. Moving is one of the least fun activities I could possibly plan for myself. For this move I used Best Priced Moving to pack my house and move everything to the new residence, including getting up in the attic to remove all the holiday and storage boxes up there. Gary and Grant pack up our stuff quickly, effectively and they had great personalities to boot. We had the house all packed up in record time and when we unpacked, everything came out beautifully. I decided to use them for my move. I also had them come and pack up the house. Gary and Brett came a few days before we moved to pack up the house. They were fast and efficient and got out entire house done within 6 hours. On the day of the move, we had 2 trucks and 4 guys come out to move us. Best Priced Moving was wonderfully helpful, especially the owner John. Due to a major flub on my part, I had confused the dates of our move. I got a call from the movers saying they were on the way over to start the move, but I didn't think we were moving until the next day. I checked my email, and it turns out they were correct. I needed movers in the South Orange County area for two moves. I called and spoke to John. He was amazingly helpful. I told him what I needed and he was quick to send me an email with info on pricing and availability. I even spoke with Adrian about changing some dates around. He worked with me and was very understanding. The guys they sent for the first move, Tim and Virgil, we're not only awesome, they were professional and quick. The first move, (a roommate), from Mission Viejo to Newport Beach was timely and everything handled with care. It was so good, that I requested Tim and Virgil for my move a few weeks later. When my moving day arrived, the guys arrived on time and were very nice. I got Tim and John this time. They wrapped everything up to protect my furniture and all of that was included in the quote. I moved from one apartment in a building to another, so it seemed easy enough, but it was hard going from and upstairs apartment to an upstairs apartment. Book them for your move! I moved cross country and my pod ended up arriving earlier then accepted so I was scrambling to find help to unload it. I called them and he said give me a few minutes to see if I can get something for later this afternoon. Not even ten minutes later he calls back and says I have 2 guys that can be there at 11:30 am. I was thrilled! They came and went above and beyond. Because the pod came earlier it had to be placed further away than I would have liked and without missing a beat they got to it. I am writing a follow-up review regarding the outcome of our move by Best Price Moving (original review by Ana G., my wife) performed about a month ago February 2020). As I am now going through the storage unit the the movers put our household boxes, furniture, Christmas decorations, etc. along with various items moved into our residence, I'm discovering that Much if our expensive furnishings, clicks, and electronic equipment sustained extensive damage. In particular, our furnishings put into to storage had heavy boxes stacked on top which broke many of our dining room chairs and severe damage to many of the other furnishings. The Christmas decorations we have had for 11+ years were thrown all around the storage unit with no care at all. I've had to throw a number of pieces away since the damage was irreparable. After having discovered the destruction to much of our household items I reached out to the owner to discuss remediation but to-date have received no response. If you have furniture, collectibles (of which one was completely destroyed), and other valuable items you wish to have moved long distance, DO NOT USE TJIS COMPANY! They will move you fast but do not expect your furnishings to be in the same condition in which they were received by the moving company. If I could 0 "stars" I would because its going to cost me thousands to have everything they damaged to be restored! read more
