If i could give this more than a five star review i would. When you enter this cute soup kitchen you're greeted with a smile and the best customer service i believe i've ever experienced and they are very personable. The food is absolutely amazing and for a shockingly low price along with options to take home their delicious homemade soups up to a gallon! I visited on vacation and came back the very next day and plan on visiting this restaurant any time i'm in shakopee area. And if you're in a hurry no worries they are fast and offer any item on the menu to go. Highly recommend and i will definitely be there again. Fast food you would wait for, but service is lightning quick. Small place tucked into one of those little strip malls near the target store. Plenty of parking. They do a brisk take out business so there is plenty of booth and table seating. Portions are large and good value. I love the salads. Zuppa is extremely solid. The pizza is so much better than other chain delivery places like Pizza Hut, Pizza Ranch, etc, and the ingredients are much higher quality. In addition, they have tremendous wraps and sandwiches. I personally enjoy the Mediterranean and Italian wraps! Most recently, I ordered the turkey ciabatta sandwich with basil aioli, cheese, and veggies, and it was superb as well! Zuppa seriously does not disappoint. This was our first visit to Zuppa Cucina. Oh my goodness! How did we not know about this place?! The Turkey Focaccia was SO good. We each also ordered a cup of the Wild Rice Soup. I've had wild rice soup at a number of places in the past. By and far this was the BEST I've ever had. A girl named Christine took our order. She said the soup is homemade. Yum! Being that I'm writing this review, I want to also mention that the service was refreshingly good. Christine was friendly and patient with our gazillion questions. I ordered a Buffalo pizza which came with Zero sauce. I called and was greeted with displeasure and argued with over the pizza which I have ordered before and has been pleasant until this time. I was told that it was definitely the pizza I ordered. It's not about the pizza at this point. It is about the service I was given and the fact that I was made to feel like I have never order before. Inconsistency is a problem and the person taking my order is not right. I will say that I have enjoyed this place in the past and maybe a new hire is the problem. read more

This is an update since the last time I reviewed. My first so-so experience with Zuppa was when I ordered one of their wraps. I did not order the right flavor apparently, because we've been back several times since then and I've loved everything else we've tried. PROTIP: when ordering a wrap, ask them to go easy on the greens. I am OBSESSED with their Minnesota Wild Rice Soup. Guys, it is literally the best soup I've eve had. It's so freaking good. Be careful here if you ask for extra protein. They won't give it to you! Even if you offer to pay extra for it. I was up charged for extra chicken and there was hardly any. Complete waste of money. The utensils are cheap flimsy plastic that can hardly hold your food. Greek Salad says it comes with chicken. You'll be lucky to find two pieces. read more

Wow, what a place. They make perfect toasty and melt in your mouth sandwiches. I'd recommend sandwiches on the Ciabatta bun. Believe me you will not wan't to eat at a chain sandwich shop after this. I also tried their soups, which I thought were okay, but not so spectacular. But 10/10 on sandwiches. My recent favorites are the Turkey melt on Ciabatta roll and the marinated chicken breast sandwich. This place is super crowded during weekday lunch hours, no surprises here... so plan ahead. Wow!!! The delicious smell of garlic, pepper and olive oil smacks your nose right upon entry. It only get better from there. I came in for a takeout sandwich and the staff were helpful and friendly. I was recommended the capicola sandwich and it did not disappoint. The blend of meats, veggies and tasty bread was just about perfect. What put it over the top was the vinaigrette. Delectable, affordable, generous, and fast! I can't say enough good things about Zuppa! I'm quite addicted to finding new restaurants on Yelp. This was one of those that I "dragged" my wife to as it is a bit of a drive and seemingly "different" to her. Let's just say that a week after our first visit, she demanded that we go again! They have about six main sandwich options, but you get your choice of breads/style to put them on. They have "gourmet" which is a french bread style bun, ciabatta bread, bagels, focaccia, and wraps. You can do 1/2 sandwiches with soup or go full size and add soups. The sandwich options seem to mostly have a meat such as turkey breast, roast beef, or chicken breast, with the addition of spinach and either a basil aioli sauce or vinaigrette. They are ridiculously good. I've tried three different sandwiches now and its so hard to try anything else because they are so good. I have to say, I'm not very much of a soup connoisseur at all. I don't make it at home often, and I rarely if ever would get it at a restaurant. But I have to say, the wild rice and tomato basil are two of the best soups I have ever had in my life, no question. They come out PIPING hot, so hot I burned myself the first time I tried it. But as long as you are expecting the heat, it is more than welcome. The pizza is not something I would recommend here. After initially trying the sandwiches and soup, I figured the house made breads would result in amazing pizza dough. That is far from the case. The crust was far below average. They should seriously just drop this from the menu as it clearly isn't their focus. Speaking strictly to the food, prices, and staff I have nothing but great things to say. This place *should* be growing and opening up additional storefronts. From a business perspective, they really should actually charge more because the product is phenomenal but the prices are nearly rock bottom. The logo is hard to read and understand, their website is from the 90's, and the location itself could use better finishes and a remodel. I would imagine the brain behind this restaurant is a die-hard cook/baker and not as much a business expert. If they were to put someone on the team who excels in growing the business, I could see a franchise model that explodes - all based on the great recipes and ingredients. Overall, I wish this place was just down the street from my work, because I would be at it for lunch everyday! It is GREAT! read more

I F****** love this place so much I've never had a bad sandwich which is what I've ordered every time I've gone and their basil aloli(idk if that's how u spell it) is to die for in my opinion. The sandwich just blends together amazingly. Ive always gotten the ham ciabatta sandwich. I'll go and get this as a treat every now and then when I'm in shakoppee. Their food is amazing! I have a gluten allergy, so this place is an oasis! Their staff is super helpful and friendly too.

Being right by my house has made this a go to place for me and my family. However, I think we would drive to get the food from here. Everything from here is super tasty and fresh. My personal favorite is the anything with basil or lemon aioli, these sauces improve everything! Pro tip is to add or sub this on your sandwich! Also try the tomato bisque/soup. Wow, we were very impressed! We were nearby house hunting and totally relied on Google and Yelp reviews to find somewhere for lunch.
