I unfortunately did not get a chance to write down the two lovely women who performed my sonogram, but they could not have been any kinder or more helpful at putting my mind at ease during my exam. I also would like to mention the incredibly talented and vein whisperer, Noelle!...I am one of the hardest sticks when it comes to placing an IV, and Noelle was able to get it done on the first stick on TWO separate occasions!!... Let me start by stating that the front desk staff are awesome. They deserve six stars. They recognize old and new faces and are eager to help newbies, like myself get checked in efficiently and with such kindness. They also go over any concerns you have if you ask about it and try to address them prior to. I was worried about dehydration and my kidneys with my first time doing IV Contrast. The nurse took my blood to test my creatinine levels and as a precaution gave me a salene dose pre and post IV contrast. The one star is for what happened on the other side of the door. I was there for a brain scan to rule out something. On the forms and every time I spoke with a nurse or an MRI technician I mentioned that I have rods in my back, to forewarn about pre-existing medical issues. After the scan, I was waiting for the male nurse who got me situated with the machine to finish up putting things away so I could have his arm for an assist in getting up off the table safely and to avoid hitting my head on the mould (to secure my head during the MRI) around it. A female nurse came in and asked me if I needed help getting up. I said, "Yeah, I have a bad back and I get dizzy." That right there was her first clue. She put out her arm and I trusted that her as a healthcare professional would know what to do. NOPE. I grabbed her arm and she pulled me up quickly at a 90° angle and I screamed in agony and then she dropped me back down to the table. Immediately since, I have been experiencing new issues; significant loss of motion, increased pain, and my back buckles when I walk nowadays. It's the scariest thing. I'm pretty sure she tore something like my gluteus. I don't know for sure and I just recently (few weeks ago) had my back and pelvis scanned. Do they have any idea how difficult it will be to request another one shortly after? My range of motion prior to visiting on 11/12/24 was really good (in consideration of my pre-existing back issues). Now, I can't walk without extreme pain and stiffness. I can't sit and scooch to one side without tremendous pain. I can't lie down on the side that was affected by her pulling me up without being in agony. I can't sleep without waking up to pain each night. My walking step strides went from average steps to baby steps with additional new pain. She knows who she is if she reads this and though it was unintentional and an accident there are some basic fundamentals she should know prior to working in a place that has people coming and going with all sorts of issues.... NEVER LEAD WHEN YOU'RE THE ASSIST. Her arm was supposed to be there for support, not as the pull. I rotated to the side and used the male nurses arm after that snafu and he did it right. He didn't try to move me any which way and just allowed me to get up at my pace. Happy scans! read more

I can't praise this place enough!! Staff are kind, calming and go over and above. The place is modern and clean. They were overbooked and got us in for emergency MRI. Barely any wait and really was a great experience. My hubby is nervous and claustrophobic and they helped him relax and did whatever necessary to get the test done. Had a 10am appointment and the first thing they told me at check in was- "We are over 45 minutes backed up!! At 10am?? Really? They don't know how to schedule patients?? I have been to many Zwanger Pesiri's before mostly in suffolk. This was the first time in Plainview. Had to go for an x-ray. The staff was very friendly and polite. I filled out the paper work and was sent immediately in for the x-ray. No wait at all really great. Overall i have never had a problem with any of the ZWANGERS FOR X-RAYS OR MRI'S or Catscans. I would only go to Zwanger Pesiri for any Radiological need. read more

This is the second time I had an MRI with sedation with Anesthesiologist Dr. Lala (shortened version of his full name which I forget, but it works with his job purpose!) The office staff was very kind and took me in quickly. Dr. Lala called me himself in the morning telling me there was an early cancellation which was a god send due the severe pain I was having for a disc problem. He is calming, very chilled out and has a great bed side manner. Thank you doctor Lala and for the kind tech on call today-(dominic nicholas? too out of it to remember, but you were also amazing), for accommodating me so quickly and taking the fear out of having MRI's. I have been to other Zwanger Radiology locations in the past. Most are clean, technicians ok, but front staff not always helpful, but they try. The Plainview location unfortunately has poor service. Starting from the 5 people working the front desk....everyone other word was pay or you owe us...not a single point about how can I help you. 3 of the 5 people at the desks were having arguments with people about when they would be seen. Service was bad...and that is nice. I understand they get busy but you need to understand people are nervous and concerned when they are waiting. Zero compassion from the staff. I went for a physical last week. My bloodwork results called for further testing. An ultrasound was done and then my doctor said I needed an MRI. Ugh. I'm a 56 year old scaredy cat and I've never had an MRI before but of course I knew what it was about. Being claustrophobic and tense about the reason I had to get one, made for an anxious ride there with my husband and daughter along for moral support. We got to the facility and I was promptly greeted by staff to take my paperwork and sign me in. We were kindly ushered to a waiting area and then I was brought to a nurse's station of sorts were I was prepped for the MRI. Everyone was so kind and friendly. They answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. Then I entered the MRI room and Amanda and Jordan set me up and made me as comfortable as I could be. They assured me that I wouldn't be alone, as I was slid into the tunnel. I had my earphones on which they supplied and Jordan said he would sing some songs for me! Relaxing jazz tunes played into the earphones instead but that was fine! I was worried about the whole experience for nothing. Had I known how professional this whole facility treated its patients, I wouldn't have had a worry at all. To Amanda and Jordan; you turned a nervous patient into a grateful person- grateful for the simple kindness that you showed me. I appreciate what you did. Awful. Waiting room is like Penn Station. Appointment at 4:45 for an MRI. It's 5:30 and still sitting here. No answers, no "we are running behind", just sitting and waiting. Cramming as many appointments and more than they can handle seems to be the norm. Go somewhere else for your medical scanning needs. Unless you have a lot of spare time and don't mind sitting around in a bland and cold waiting room. Avoid. There are a ton of other places to get an MRI. Asked about the time, now 5:35 and told 2 people still ahead of her for an MRI. What a terribly run practice. Will never use another Zwanger facility. read more

I've been a patient for many years. Have always been happy till recently. I had tests done recently at both the Plainview & Hicksville offices. Both times I was told results took from 5-7 days to be posted, when I was told anywhere from 36-72 hours. So I don't think it's an issue with a particular office. Seems to be system wide. if they don't have enough radiologists on hand to read the tests, they shouldn't be taking that many appts. In the past my doctors would have reports withing 24-48 hours. This is inexcusable! read more

Where do i start.. My father was scheduled to come into this location for an MRI as he is due for knee surgery and just had hip surgery a month ago. He shows up and couldnt sit for the MRI because he'd been in too much pain and could not sit still so they rescheduled him which is fine and reccomended a sedative for next visit. We show up a second time for the appointment however, they tell him he needs some other special test and pays almost $300 for the special test then someone says nope thats the wrong test. So again - rescheduled. No problem. We show up a third time trying to be positive; i waited with him for over 30 minutes until he was called into the treatment room and i said to the technician "i'd like to leave my phone number because im going to go home and come back when hes done". Technician says "no problem leave your number w/ the front desk". I figured i leave my phone number because he had to take a sedative and i wasnt sure if he'd be ok to make a call. Some may say why didnt i wait - we all know how long an MRI takes and he had 2 appointments. Home is just 15 min away - it was a no brainer to go home. 2 hrs later i said let me head over he should be almost finished. I get there say 2.5 hrs later and my dad was standing outside leaning against the yellow pole in handicapped parking ! I was furious. I went inside to ask the front desk gentleman why he did not call me. All he could do was apologize over and over again as he showed me the pc of paper he wrote my number down on. I dont know what go's on at the front desk of this location but there is absolutely NO communication what so ever here. This team is not nsync w each other nor their patients. It is unacceptable not only to pay for the wrong test but then to be left standing outside helpless when my phone number was at the front desk collecting dust. I told my dad to never come back here again. My mother wants nothing to do w this place and i can see why. I absolutely do not reccommend this place. They are careless, all over the place and non communicative. My father said he saw the front desk gentlemen outside on his phone and not behind the front desk. Maybe it was his break or whatever but the employee should have had the common sense to say - hey maybe thats the man who needs me to call his daughter for pick up especially seeing my dad w a cane and leaning against the yellow pole in the parking lot. But NOPE. Not here. I am still furious and absolutely disgusted. Of course "the manager left for the day". But i will follow up w a call tomor morning. I will say that one receptionist did call my fathers cell phone (left in the car because he couldnt take it in for the MRI) several times. She was sitting next to the gentleman i gave my number to. This is the first time that I have visited their Plainview office. I have gone to their Massapequa office before and know that they have modern equipment. I must say that I was very impressed with the efficiency of this office. I don't ever recall having faster service at any testing facilities. I was a walk-in for an x-ray and the wait time was 5 minutes if that long and we were not the only ones in the office. They moved all their patients along very efficiently, we were in and out in no time. In addition the office was very clean with large TV's and most importantly NICE & pollite office staff. Office hours were very convenient (up until 10 pm most nights) which is why I chose them. I had to give them credit because credit is due. Keep up the good work! read more

The Plainview office offers sedation. They are great! The anesthesiologist, MRI technicians and nursing staff are terrific!

People here are nice whether you talking to them in person or over the phone. And that's everyone; the front desk staff, the MRI technicians, nurse and the staff handling requests for results. Place has great hours for us working people so don't have to take time off for the tests and they're well organized so you're in at your scheduled time and out quickly. Would come back here again if I needed their services. read more

My husband needed a nuclear test and every time he called for an appointment no one picked up the phone. He called for two straight days and never got to speak to anyone. Finally the receptionist took a message and still no one called back. He finally got someone on the phone and they said that they would call back to schedule the appointment. That was 6 weeks ago and we never heard back from them. A few days after the last call we contacted Syosset hospital s nuclear department and they were great. The staff is professional and friendly. I go there directly to make my appointments. The will also email you paperwork, which is convenient. They run on schedule, which is great. The 3-D Mammogram is always my preference. I like the private area provided for this testing. My doctors get the results within hours of the test. I also like the patient portal which provides me with the images as well as the report. read more

Front desk lady did not say hello when I arrived, did not even make eye contact. Only asked for my paperwork, script, ins card, and photo ID. After waiting a few mins in the main waiting room, was taken back to another waiting room....dark and dingy. The RN and the MRI tech were wonderful though!!!!! (Erin and Brandon I think?) I had an appointment. It was crowded. I was greeted immediately. Super nice people. I had a sedation MRI. The anesthesiologist was terrific as well as the nurses. Excellent experience. They even called me 5 hrs later to make sure I was ok. That's unheard of. There the best!!!! read more

My first time using them this evening and probably won't use again for anything. Had MRI. Was not happy with service style. Kept me waiting 40 minutes (no biggie), gave me no information about test until I asked the technician, had to take paperwork on clipboard into second wait area in back only to have to bring it back up front when test was over (why?) and told me nothing afterwards about who would get the results and when. What really turned me off, though, was that they seem to have no concept of patient privacy. In the back wait area, a staff member had a conversation with a patient that should not have taken place in front of other patients (staff member also actually sat with person hogging seating so my boyfriend couldn't sit next to me in small area. He went back to main wait area. She should have taken patient out to have their discussion), I was asked personal health questions by the technician literally 4 feet from that wait area (by lockers), after test back at reception/check out in main wait area, a staff member was rude to me then the person who checked me out realized I hadn't completed a portion of the paperwork and began to ask me if I had any cancer history. That person I asked straight out why she was asking these questions in the "wait area" (people could definitely hear). She was apologetic but nonetheless had no regard for my privacy. Run the place like a factory. I did not feel valued at all. They should work on their customer service skills including friendliness and discretion when speaking to patients. At the end of the day, I am a customer and should be treated like one. They are not the only radiologists around. read more

I am a cancer patient. I had a 815 appointment for a pet scan. I had to fast 6 hours before my test and I had to have a no carb no caffeine diet the day before. The pet scan machine was down. The staff did not notify patients who were sitting in the waiting room that the machine was broken. They allowed us to sit there without revealing that the machine was down and they probably would not be able to give us the scan. When I approached the office manager that I had been sitting for over an hour. it was only then I was notified that the scanner was down and she would find out more information when she talked to the technician and tell me. Well I waited another 1/2 hour got no response from her that I want back to the front desk to find out what was going on. The office manager told me she would tell me what was going on but never did I had to go up to her and ask even though she promised to go to me and tell me. This is no way to treat sick people I have had to have 4 scans in the past year, each scan costing a small fortune, and this is the way I am treated.
