Nothing to ever fear at Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology of Lynbrook, NY. Have been serviced twice within the last 3 years for a few ultrasounds, assuring that I'm in tip top shape...and have peace of mind. This location has super professional staff that is genuinely looking to make sure your needs are taken care of. They are very quick and efficient with what needs to get done, in a very clean, sterile atmosphere. You can sign up for their online portal and receive your reports and captured images, just like you doctor. It's actually clear and concise, giving you the opportunity to be prepared to formulate questions prior to discussing with your doctor. This particular visit my doctor was able to immediately see the results live and determine if further action was needed. This was my first time here after a year. i don't know if this garbage was a one time thing and it would be picked up on Monday, but it doesn't speak well of the facility. No one wants to have to go to a radiology appointment but I'm sure glad it had to be here. This place is beyond my wildest radiology dreams! It's the cleanest place and best service I've experienced in the NYC area and it was certainly worth this Brooklyn gal's trip to Long Island! The one thing I can't stand about doctors visits and healthcare experiences in general is how poorly the staff treats the patients and cleanliness of many of these facilities. If I see any staff member treating patients with no respect or not having 'patience for patients', it annoys me. This place-- the COMPLETE OPPOSITE! The bathrooms were clean and didn't even smell like bathrooms-- how common is that?! What?! The receptionists greeted me when I walked in the door. I turned around to see who they were talking to, but nope, it was just little 'ole me standing at the entrance. They were talking to ME!? Oh dear, I felt so special-- well I am! Lol They quickly checked me in which included a self-check in with their iPad-like devices and I wondered how they would work for some of their senior patients that didn't have grandkids giving them daily lessons on how to use the internet or and tech gadgets... One elderly patient kept asking questions about how to use the device and how to answer a question on the e-form. The question may have seemed obvious to others but he continued to walk up to the gentleman at the front desk multiple times for his help. You KNOW I was paying attention to the gentleman's face to see how patient he was with the patient. He helped him each and every single time, actually showed him what to do and smiled each time. Many medical facilities don't have the patience or simply care enough to be KIND to patients and have empathy for their health circumstances. The bedside manner was great! They are thorough in answering questions and explaining the procedure, and guess what? The assistant even held my hand as the radiologist performed my exam to make sure I was okay and not in any pain! I'm telling you, these other radiology centers in NYC aren't doing this-- I've been to almost all of them! This facility seems to have a diverse patient network and it feels like they treat us ALL the same-- with care, no matter what age, race, gender, etc. The radiologists realized I needed an additional test and got her staff on board to help me get fit in for a same day appointment and all I had to do was show proof of referral from my doctor. They got me in and out of there with the testing I needed to help my doctors and I make the best decision. I commend them for having a great deal of empathy for their patients. We already don't want to be there and it's stressful enough for us to even have tests and wait for results, but Zweger-Pesiri makes it SO much more comfortable for us. I have only the best things to say about Zwanger. I've been to this location three times thus far for various issues. Almost always, I'm in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Currently, you can register for your appointment prior to arriving to expedite your intake. There's also a convenient patient portal so that you can rightly have unobstructed access to the images and reports for any scans you've had done. On my recent visit to this location, I was given a blanket because it was a little chilly in the office. There's plenty of reusable bags for your items, too. I walked out of this office with a free blankie and positive news about the test I went in for within ten minutes after being in the imaging room. Can't go wrong here! read more

I reached out about an MRI in a lot of pain and was told that I needed prior authorization. I asked about how much it would cost to pay out of pocket and Lisbeth refused me as a patient saying that I have to rely on insurance for care. This is the first time I've ever heard this and I pushed back because it was unbelievable. Lisbeth then admitted that she did not know how much an MRI cost. She tried to get me to billing but they were closed. Ultimately, I was denied access to care. read more

I waited here 2 1/2 hours for my CT scan. Now I'm going home because I'm in terrible pain and can't wait any longer. I have a disability and let them know that I can't wait for long. They kept lying to me and telling me it's another 30 minutes. Another lady here has been waiting 3 hours and a man has been waiting over 5 hours!! While everyone is waiting for hours, the manager brought 3 boxes of pizza to the back room so that all the employees can eat pizza while the patients are in the waiting room smelling the pizza and starving because they can't eat before the tests. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and I will never come back here again!!! read more

The Lynbrook location has a very convenient LARGE PARKING LOT, and I was happy to be immediately greeted as soon as I entered the building. My visit was streamlined because when I called for my appointment, the person who made the appointment talked me through how to reach my patient portal. I was able to go on my cell phone and easily upload copies of my insurance card along with my prescription in a matter of minutes instead of wasting time in the waiting room. After my MRI, I asked the technician for a physical disc and as I was leaving, I only needed to wait about 5 minutes for the disc to be ready for me to take home for my surgeon's use---if I should opt for surgery. I would highly recommend this Zwanger-Pesiri location to anyone needing any of their services. read more

My doctor referred me here for two separate things, CT and sonogram. I had to come in advance to pick up the solution I had to drink for one of my exams. Before I get into it, the lady I spoke to from the mainswitch board was great. Patient and professional. Gave me instructions and answered all my questions. Went to pick up the solution the next day and the staff here was very professional. They have this system that works very well. They literally have staff that walk up to you once you come in to assist you. Things run very smoothly and I was taken back by how great the staff are. You can be in and out fast. Side bar, the place is so clean and beautiful! Top of the line equipment. The parking lot has a lot of spots but you might have to wait a few minutes for a spot to open if it's crowded. Today was the actual day of my exams. I did my research and found out I'm only responsible for my deductible and not the estimated amount of almost $200 they wanted me to pay. Do your research on what you're responsible for before you get these exams done. They provide you with the medical codes beforehand so call your insurance company. In order for your exams to run smoothly and quick you must follow the directions they give you. I did but let me tell you it was difficult. Try holding your urine for over 2 hours after having a tall cup of solution/ water they give you all while driving in the rain. The second exam went fast too but I have to say the tech left a bad taste in my mouth. My exam came back negative thank goodness but she had the nerve to say "this was the most boring exam." Why? Because I didn't have abnormalities like geez I don't know, cancer? She literally said I don't see anything wrong with the sonogram which was boring. Thank you for wishing cancer on someone. Very unprofessional but one rotten apple won't ruin it for everyone else. Before I go, once you register online you'll be able to see your reports and images once they become available. Overall have had a pleasant experience but they need to work on their social distancing setup.They kept everyone outside ( mind you it was raining ) to ensure social distancing, to then have you cramped up in a secondary waiting room with 4 other people. Additionally the check in desk is at the entry door leaving you no space between the other patients and staff conducting the check-in process. read more

Other than the less than responsive women at the front desk everything about my appointment at ZP was excellent. The facility is immaculately clean. The waiting time is short and the technicians are knowledgeable and anticipate any queries or concerns. DONT EVER USE ZWANGER-PESIRI RADIOLOGY IN LYNBROOK! I set up an early morning appointment over the phone after confirming they received a fax script from my doctor. Upon my arrival I was advised they did not have the script, could not perform the test without it, and I would have to wait until my doctors office opened which wouldn't be for another 45 minutes. They could not give me an explanation for the mix up either. I left. I called my doctors office after they opened and asked for my script to be sent somewhere else. My doctor confirmed the script was sent and received by Zwanger. First and Last time I will ever step foot in any of their facilities! read more

It takes a ridiculously long time for radiologist to review scan. He didn't identify findings accurately enough for doctor. They are obviously too busy and with poor quality readings. Waste of time and waste of an iodine injection into my body. As a person in the medical profession that has had tests done years ago this was a poor experience. read more

Had my very 1st mammogram, and visited this location. The staff is very caring and attentive. I was greeted as I stepped in. The facility is clean and modern. You get a parting gift which is the reusable tote bag that you are given to store your belongings. There were cookies in the waiting area. The wait was minimal, but I got to have good conversations with a couple of ladies who reassured me that the mammogram would not be as bad as I may have heard. Maria my mammogram technician did an awesome job, she made me feel comfortable at all times and explained what I would be experiencing. She showed me the images and explained the basics. Since it changed to Lenox Hill, this is the first dealing I've had with them, and now will be the last. I was calling to schedule an appt for a test and was on hold for 30 minutes without even speaking to anyone. When they were Zwanger Pesiri, I never had to wait that long. I finally hung up & will make an appt elsewhere. How do you leave someone on hold continuously for THIRTY MINUTES without even having someone pick up the phone? Totally NOT acceptable!!! read more

Dr. Lala by far exceeded my expectations. I was so nervous to have an MRI of my brain with contrast so I had IV Sedation. He was comforting and reassuring. The nurses both named Linda were super supportive and reassuring as well. I received a text before my appointment from Dr. Lala with his cell phone number for any questions I may have had! Linda called me after the MRI to make sure I was ok and to remind me to drink lots of water. Top quality care!!! read more

If there were ten stars, I would have given them ten! What a great experience I have had all three times that I have been to this facility. I live much closer to two other Zwanger facilities, but because of the excellent treatment I get in Lynbrook, I don't want to chance going to another. First, I was able to get an appointment for a CT Scan on a Sunday. Great! Second, they have a large parking lot. Always a plus. Third, I was checked in quickly by Judine. In fact, after checking in, I sat down and had to get up right away to go for my test. NO WAITING! Then a staff member took me upstairs on the elevator. I was immediately escorted into the CT room for testing. Again, NO WAITING! The technician was very pleasant. She explained everything to me in detail, even though I did tell her that I'm a P.A. We were able to converse in medical lingo, and believe me, she knows her stuff. I am somewhat disabled and she helped me to maneuver for the test. Everything was done quickly and with no fuss. She even explained how the results would be determined and when they would be ready. My entire experience with this facility was excellent. The place is very clean, uncluttered, and tastefully decorated. The equipment is ultra modern. The facility is run like a well-oiled machine. And they have free WiFi. I would highly recommend this facility. Kudos to you, Lynbrook office! I have only one complaint: As a disabled person, I had to have someone with me to open the two doors to the facility. They need to install wheelchair accessible doors so that people in wheelchairs or walkers can get in easily. That is my only concern. Please make your facility handicap accessible. read more

I can't say enough good things about my first visit to the Lynbrook facility. I went early in the morning so there was plenty of parking. I was actually 15 mins late but the receptionist smiled and didn't say a thing. The forms were presented on an iPad and easy to complete. I was whisked inside quickly. Arielle performed my sonogram and was absolutely terrific - so professionally pleasant and even-keeled, and considerate of my comfort. She did an excellent job capturing the scan. Amazingly, my doctor called about 5 hours after the scan was finished, having received and reviewed the full report. read more

I have been here two times to get procedures done and both times I have been impressed with the customer service. Edith was absolutely amazing and so was Nick my MRI tech. They made sure I was comfortable and I was safe during the procedure. Nick let me choose what music I wanted which I liked. Please play that Nicky Jam I said! Long behold, Nick played my Nicky Jam and made me more comfortable during my procedure. I get really nervous when it comes to MRIs. However, they made my experience enjoyable. They honored my appointment time and I even got a take home bag for my visit! I will return to ONLY THIS zwanger. I live near the elmont location and they are no where near the Lynbrook location. The only negative thing was that they made me register on an iPad which was kind of confusing and I really hope those iPads are not taking away people's jobs! Other than that, I had a fantastic experience at this Zwanger-Pesiri location. This place is has no respect for other peoples time. I made an appointment over a week ago and when I showed up all the staff was nasty and curt from the front desk throughout. I had an appt for 10 and at 1020 when they came to get another patient for the first time I was able to ask when I would be seen. I was advised with an attitude that they "double booked" and I would now have to wait until almost 11 which is one hour past my appt time. I would NEVER come here and don't recommend it at all. I wouldn't even give it one star but I can't write the review without it. read more

I had to bring my daughter here. First time I've been in any of their facilities. I must say.. this is a WELL OILED MACHINE. I got to the very open, well run, modern reception area and a woman that seemed to be "floating" asked for my Info. She took it, was back 3 minutes later with new patient forms and started to take us upstairs for a CT Scan, we had yet filled out all the forms. I was then greeted upstairs by a young man Anthony who I believe to be the X-ray Tech. He took my forms, I said they weren't completed he said no worries we'll take care of that.. as long as my daughter had no allergies, etc.. we were good to go. He took us over to the nurses area, Ellen inserted her IV for contrast, seemlessly and my daughter was off for her CT Scan. My appt was for 11:00 and we were out and done by 11:30. Kudos to this group!!! It's bad enough we need to get these films for whatever reason they are needed but YOU make the process a little easier!! If only my other medical professionals cold follow suit!! I wait for my Derm for an hour at times. read more
