My mother had a very disappointing experience at Lenox Hill Radiology on March 27, 2026. She arrived early for her 7:45 AM brain radiology appointment (at approximately 7:15 AM), yet was met with a receptionist whose demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional. Despite being present ahead of her scheduled time, she was not properly assisted or acknowledged in a timely manner. In a healthcare setting, professionalism, courtesy, and clear communication are essential--especially when patients may already be feeling anxious about their appointments. Unfortunately, that standard was not met. This experience reflects poorly on the level of patient care and respect that should be expected. I strongly encourage management to review staff conduct and ensure that all patients are treated with the professionalism and attentiveness they deserve read more

So, I must admit the reviews of this place had me a bit skeptical and bracing myself for an unpleasant. Well, I am here to say my experience was phenomenal. Appointment was at 7:45AM for a MRI and a XRAY - both completed before 8:15AM. I am glad I didn't listen to the naysayers and drive to another location much farther. The appointment for a breast ultrasound was scheduled for 8:10a. Arrived at 7:52a signed in there was 2 people signed in prior. There more than 3 secretaries at the desk but then where moving slow. Wasn't called to the desk until closed to the appointment time. Handed paperwork walked to the back. Another patient was approached by the staff and was told the wait would be longer would have to wait until 12p there is only one technician. Patient arrived at 7:50a for a 8a appointment but the front staff check patient in late that the time passed for the appointment. Patient was pissed off the staff member told her she would have to go to another location or wait. Customer service up front needs to improvement when checking patients in. read more

Two years ago, I had an excellent experience here; unfortunately, today was very different. If possible, I would give this visit zero stars. To begin on a positive note, the front-desk staff were helpful and pleasant. Allie, in particular, was kind and very knowledgeable. My negative experience began once I was brought to the back. I was instructed to undress from the waist up, place my clothing in a bag, put on a robe, and bring the bag with me into the exam room. I was told I was the last appointment of the day, and aside from the front lobby staff, the area appeared empty. While preparing for my appointment, I noticed there was no robe laid out for me. I stepped out partially dressed and quietly asked if someone could assist me. A staff member came from the back and showed me where the robes were kept. After putting one on and gathering my things, I wasn't sure where I was supposed to wait, as several rooms were empty. I softly called out again for assistance. At that point, Christie, the mammogram technician, came out of another room and abruptly yelled, "WAIT HERE UNTIL I GET YOU," before walking away. Her tone was extremely harsh and unprofessional, and it genuinely alarmed me. It is very unsettling to be spoken to like that by someone responsible for providing a sensitive medical service. Despite arriving early, I was then told--through the front desk--that the technician could not complete my exam and that I would need to reschedule. I hope Christie treats other patients with more respect in the future, but I will not be returning to her for care. The place itself is clean and technicians are great which should be the main reason people come here. However the customer service / reception side of things could be better. Upon walking in, there was no "good morning"from anyone, just an annoyed stare. The reception area did not inform me that I was supposed to take a seat and that they would call me to check in. Even after making eye contact with me, a woman behind the desk just looked at me and let me stand there without speaking a word. Needless to say a little common courtesy could go a long way. How about "have a seat we'll be right with you"? The waiting area in the women's imaging is very small and some women did not have the decency to move their bags from a free seat to allow me to sit there. Maybe a courtesy sign should be placed so people can learn manners? Just a suggestion since maybe people weren't taught that growing up. read more

I'd give this 5 stars but see last paragraph..... We went there for a CT scan yesterday and was extremely surprised at how well a LINDA, on the 2nd floor, handled things. Wow, was she VERY knowledgeable, personable, educated, compassionate, caring and just totally amazing. You knew she had worked there a number of years. She also knew how to make a patient feel relaxed and comfortable., which is very important to the patient. Wish I had a friend like her and if I ever go back there, I'd like her to be available to me. Bobby, also on the 2nd floor, was amazing. He also knew how to make a patient feel comfortable and he was funny. Incidentally, parking was good as well. Now about the FIRST FLOOR, reception desk....NOT good. We arrived 80 mins BEFORE appt. time but after going up to the desk a second time because it was 35 mins. past our arrival time, they basically said, "oops." We were forgotten so this, of course, threw off the schedule for everyone upstairs. They were NOT happy with the way the first floor handled things. Sadly, I see many patients agree with me on this matter, based on the reviews I read last night on various sites. I'd return here if warranted but would check in with the reception area on the ground floor many times (and they'd probably be annoyed). read more

I've been here a few times, and my experiences have been mostly neutral. Place is clean but the waits are sometimes long. However, the most recent situation that I'm currently going through with them has been extremely problematic. I had imaging done for which the results were time-sensitive, despite being referred there by my physician and not an ER. Every other time I have been here, my results were ready and to my provider either same day or the next day (none of those instances were time-sensitive). This time, we are now 6 days past my procedure date and I still have yet to receive the results. My doctor and myself have both called the office every business day since then, to no avail. The office staff has told me different lies each time I've called; telling me it'd be available "soon" or "later today", blaming my doctor, blaming the tech who helped me, giving me different/seemingly fake SLAs (3 business days, 3-5 business days, 7-10 business days). At this point, I'm going to need to go to the ER tomorrow and will need to get the imaging redone there. As the cherry on top, they required me to pay up front and then didn't submit to my insurance, so my payment didn't count towards my deductible. I will definitely be steering clear of this location in the future. read more

I've been here a few times, being diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, and the say is always friendly and welcoming. This appointment was for my second bone scan. The first was done here last year. Megan administered my injection, and 3 hours later, my actual bone scan. She explained things very well and was very personable. Be prepared because the exam room is cold! I did have a mix-up with one of my appointments last year, which resulted in me coming to visit for no reason, but I blame that on the communication between the different locations. Overall, it's a comfortable lobby with great staff! I just wish they offered hot beverages on these cold days [they have public water coolers]. read more

I was sent by the urgent care in Philip's Plaza, Lynbrook, which was also awful to get an X-ray on my hand. It was too late when I got there, so I had to go back the next morning. My X-ray was taken around 10 AM Saturday and not read until 7:30 PM on Sunday evening. They make you create a whole patient portal to access your information. God forbid anyone should actually call you or tell you anything by phone. As unpleasant as ER's may be, I would have been treated with instructions for the care of my injured hand. Utterly ridiculous patient care and the kicker is they want to get paid for this. Calling my insurance company, they should not be paid for their lack of patient care. read more

B.O. Recently, I had an appt for a mammogram in Lynbrook. The desk clerk confirmed my appointment and told me where to sit. After waiting for an hour and seeing several ladies being called in before me, I went back to the front desk to see what was going on. Another clerk was there and stated that I didn't have an appointment scheduled, and the next available test was in 3 hours. read more

This facility is very clean & Well run. Employees are caring and go the extra mile to help you. I had a test done and thought it was done at this facility. The receptionist looked up the procedure and dates and explained that they were not done at this facility. She took the time to call the other possible facility and found that they were done there. I asked her to tell them I would come right over to their location; instead asked them to fax the report to her in Lynbrook so I would not have to travel to the other facility. I appreciated that She went the extra step to accommodate and resolve my problem. Any facility that fosters this problem solving and work ethic should be commended! The receptionists name is Nev I know facilities are rated on their waiting time; my waiting time was minimal and I was helped within 1 minute of my arrival.While it took quite sometime for the other facility to obtain and fax the needed reports. read more

This Branch will make your blood boil!! My wife confirmed her appointment using their own text messaging system and received a confirmation about her appointment. She came 30 minutes earlier than the appointed time of 9:45 am, she checked in and waited for so long and when she asked when she will be called, she was told that her appointment time was moved to 10:45 am! What a disappointment!!! They should have told her that when they checked her in from the time she registered. Management should do something about it! read more

Mammogram and ultrasound Monday. Images posted in patient portal. Several scary highlighted areas. No report. Now Thursday still no report. Oncologist called, was told they are radiologist short-staffed. Report finished Friday, maybe Monday. Totally unacceptable and shameful. Mammogram and ultrasound techs are wonderful. The delay disrespects their work and patients' lives. Update 12 days total for a report. Please improve and accelerate the process so no one else has to go through that wait. I had been here when it was Zwanger-Pesiri but this was my first time here since they became Lenox Hl Radiology. Talk about a change for the worse. I came in for an MRI the front staff was rude from the moment in walked in saying I was late when I was 15 minutes early. Then when I was done and waiting for my disk I asked if they had called was and I was told "I was not taking to you sit down. " I will not return and do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The staff in this place is really unprofessional. I came in 20 minutes early for my appointment. Waited almost an hour waiting to be called to check in as a new patient. I felt like I couldn't approach the staff to ask questions because of the way I saw they were treating others. (They were really rude and especially with elderly people) When I finally came to ask why no one had called my name. One the receptionist said that I SAID I was already being helped---- like what?! Lying on my face. Long story short. THEY made me lose my appointment. The technician said she couldn't see me cause she didn't want to run be behind. Even though I begged them to please let me seen. I don't recommend this place, I have never felt so disregarded in my life. I didn't yell or made a scene there but I should have, cause how they treat people the isn't right. Had a 10:45 appointment, I was pretty sure arrived at 10:40 but after being registered and changed into gown was called back and was told I was late by arriving at 10:45 and had to reschedule. I called the customer service number to ask about the schedule time and why that happened only to be harrassed and talked down to mainly because she said I should have asked to speak to a site manager when I was there! There were several other people that were having issues with their scheduled time as well. It was overcrowded and unorganized. Never going back!! read more

Cancelled my mammography appointment twice due to not having a technician. It's not easy to make these appointments and they went and cancelled at last minute. After getting 5 text messages/phone calls to confirm my appointment starting 5 days before my appointment, (why are that many confirmations necessary?) which I confirmed and filled out all their paperwork, LHR called and canceled my appointment an hour before my appointment saying they had an emergency. This place is very unprofessional and unaccommodating. They could have at least scheduled my appointment at one of their other locations for the same day but forget it I wouldn't have gone here anyway. This is the second time I wasn't happy with LHR Lynbrook so I am done. By the way this was the day after the SuperBowl, was your tech drunk and couldn't make it? I have had several tests at Lenox Hill in Lynbrook. I think the whole staff is efficient, caring and can't do enough to help. There is very little waiting time in spite of how busy they are. The online portal makes getting your reports seamless and you can stop in to get a disc of scans within minutes. I would recommend anyone to use this Radiology Service. I arrived 9:04 for a 9:15 appt so the receptionist told me it will be a little wait , so I sat down and waited . They berated me that I should have come in 15-20 mins early for my appointment , even though I have submitted and filed out all the paperwork online . It would have been better to have just say that they are running behind , but they made it sound like it's my fault . Anyway, I sat down patiently but when I noticed that everyone was already being called ahead of me, my husband complained for me . Then they said that I should have been waiting in a different room and the mammo/utz people were looking for me. Again, nobody ever told me that I should be waiting in the mammogram area . When I got there, many more women were inside the room. So I got paranoid that I will have to be wait again for a longer time since I waited in the wrong area . Again, the worker explained to me and again made it sound like it's my fault for coming in late for my 9:15 appt . If they wanted me to come in 20 mins before then my appt should have beef 8:55 - as 9:04 for a 9:15 appt is not late . Never did they acknowledge that nobody told me where to wait . I am a patient and I am not here everyday - so how will I know what the procedures are or where should I wait if nobody told me ? I will schedule my next years ultrasound and mammo somewhere else . read more

The office people there are very unprofessional the office staff think they are doctors and do not do their jobs very rude and shows no compAssion for hurt people. I think the whole office should be selling shoes because they can't do there job correctly if I bring cash for my procedure to get a date that works for getting a ride . Stay away! This facility is a complete ripoff and will make you pay for a deductible that is not even due. My CT scan was scheduled on May 19, 2022 and upon check-in the associate told me that I had to pay a deductible. I told her that I met my deductible and but she insisted and so I paid. I called my insurance carrier and confirmed that I had met my deductible for the year. The Cigna rep did a two way and called Lenox Hill Radiology to inquire why I was charged and asked why they did not check patient benefits to determine if a deductible was due before charging me $270.16. The associate from Lenox hill was not able to explain why but promised a refund would be processed immediately but I'm still waiting for a refund. I spoke with Luz from Lenox Hill today July 13, 2022 and she says that a refund will be processed in 15 days. They have unethical business practices so if I were you, I would stay clear from this spot. read more

Would love to give a fair review but nobody picks up the phone since Lenox Hill took over the Zwanger & Pesiri building in Lynbrook. I've called about 5x in the past week, desperate for an MRI. Every time I'm on hold for 20+ minutes. Last week I waited 35 minutes with my phone on speaker while I did other things. Finally a girl picks up and asked for my first and last name- as I give it she disconnects me. Assuming they have the number in their call log- but no call back. It's unfortunate that LENOX HILL is blowing it bc it is a nice building and was wonderful when owned by Zwanget&Pesiri. I'll be going elsewhere for my MRI- same thing I've heard from others who used to like that location. read more

I would never go back to this location. I went during my lunch break from work and arrived at my exact appointment time. I told the girl my name and time and she replied i have you here and then I was instructed to sign in on the sheet, which i did. 40 minutes goes by and i get a text about contacting lenox hill to reschedule my appointment which confuses me because i am literally sitting there waiting to be called up. when i approach the same girl at the desk she gives me an attitude and starts questioning me about what time i arrived. now why exactly would i lie? i am then sent to the manager who is nice but does nothing for me and tells me that i can sit and wait and see if the next person (a half hour from now) doesn't show up for their appointment cause my clearly booked slot is gone. yeah, let me waste more time sitting there in the sheer hope that someone doesn't show up. i left, wasted my time and my lunch break and will never be going back. sadly wish i read the reviews before because apparently this is a trend. read more

I was very impressed by how the woman at the desk upstairs was handling all the patients she was sent. I think her name was "Gale". She payed special attention to an older couple who needed help with paperwork and getting ready for the test. I appreciated this and it made an impression on me. Everyone else was very professional and courteous also, that made an impression on me too. There was a bump in the road, when after sending me days of emails telling me no water or food 4 hours before the test, someone sent a text 2 hours before the test telling me to drink 2 to 3 glasses of water to have a full bladder. If I missed the text, I would have been upset to lose my appointment time forced to sit downstairs to drink water and wait. Come early: My appointment was at 1:30. I showed up at 12:50 and was out by 1:30! I was told over the phone to show up a half hour early and they seem to respect your time. They also have a large parking lot in the back that they don't seem to want to tell anybody about, lol. I would use them again, also comfortable and clean. read more
