A return trip that was great. We had a half rack of ribs again and they were great. Largest and meatiest ribs. Enough for two and some to take home. Only regret is that the rib tips were out again. Still a great lunch.

Excellent BBQ spot that is worth a stop! Meaty ribs seasoned and smoked to perfection! Make-your-own sauce, if you can't find one you like! Order at the counter, the make your bbq and you can pick it up at the end of the counter. My friend loved their coleslaw (that's why there's 2 on her lunch chicken platter).

Saw this place had some decent reviews and decided to give them a try. Unfortunately my experience was less than average..... There is a fair amount of parking in this area and inside seating. The first thing you notice is this place does smell AMAZING but the food just did not taste anywhere good as it smelled! The service was fine. Nothing to write home about. It was very fast though!! Ok the most important part! THE FOOD: I am someone who grabs chips over a cookies and loves salt, so when I tell you these fries were so salty they are almost inedible, I mean it! Just covered! The brisket tasted old, rubbery and dry. I had to throw the whole thing out, such a waste. They Mac and cheese was very watery in consistency but the flavor was ok. The pulled pork was the only thing that was half way decent. I tried the Smokey, sweet, and tangy Carolina BBQ sauces and didn't like a single one. The flavors were just to artificial. This was just a huge miss for me. Will not be back.

Does NOT disappoint! BBQ here spanks the competition-pork butts down! Moist beef brisket that you can serve to a toothless grannie (it's so tender it melts in your mouth). The ribs are plentiful meaty and delicious (even if you don't stop at the sauce station to concoct your own). Counter service, excellent vibe and best smelling place in Eagan!

We tried ZZQ's for lunch on a Friday. It wasn't too busy at 11:30, but around 12:30/1, the line was about 8 people long. We tried the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, fries, and chicken (part of the kids meal). I am a huge pulled pork fan, and their's was so good! Everything else was okay, but not great. Maybe the amazingness of the pulled pork made everything else dull? The service was really good, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I was really craving some good bbq food since one of our fav spots has been closed. We decided to go out to zzq after a couple of others recommended it. It definitely didn't disappoint! My hubby got the ribs combo and I got a pulled pork sandwich. My hubby said the ribs were up there with some of the best he has had in Memphis and in St. Louis. All of the different sauces were amazing! The pork was so tender and had great flavor. The fries were crispy and the fry sauce was bomb. Also, they offer Coke Zero which makes me happy!

We went pretty late, during a Friday dinner rush. Not a ton of seating here but enough for what it is. The lady at the counter seemed pretty flustered but was friendly and got it all down eventually, especially considering the semi-confusing nature of our coupon. I can't say enough nice things about the food, sauces, and people here though. Just phenomenal work guys! I got the two meat plate, pulled pork with ribs, beans and coleslaw. Everything was so good! The rub on the ribs, the sweet, hot and tangy Carolina sauce and the pulled pork was all perfect! Writing this brings back mouth-watering callbacks definitely asking for a return visit and then some!

My dinner was especially good....the chicken fried perfectly...all dark meat the way I like it. The potato salad was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm used to a mayo based potato salad but this was even better with lots of flavor! The corn was also delicious. Everyone was very happy with their dinners. The chicken and waffle dish was also good. Ratio of breading to chicken was perfect and perfectly seasoned. The honey butter that came with it was also delicious. The New Orleans shrimp bowl was great too. The ratio of shrimp, which was perfectly cooked, to rice was good. Lots of great flavor. I think that everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. The only "ding" would be the service. We had to ask for silverware so we could eat and had to wait for straws because she forgot. I'm still going to give it 5 stars even though the service was lacking a bit. She was very nice but seemed rushed.

I ordered the Social salad. It was good but the presentation was trash. I also got a cup of the She - Crab soup. It was also just okay and certainly overpriced. Husband got the Pork Belly Burnt Ends at my suggestion. He asked if they had sauce added to them and if so, to get it on the side. Our server said they are prepared and the sauce caramelizes so no, no sauce. He asked due to being a type 1 diabetic and needed to calculate his insulin. Well, they came out covered in fresh sauce and were too dry to swallow. There were six chewed up bits of pork left on his plate when it was cleaned away. The Texas toast was the only redemption. Lastly the two others shared the half bird entree. Presentation was haphazard and the chicken was visually dry looking. They ate most of it and said the biscuit and sweet potatoes were good. The food alone wasn't bad enough to keep me away; but combining it with the service was. Our server Laura (sp?) didn't make her debut well after we've been sitting 10 minutes. We were there at 5:30 on Sunday. It wasn't busy at all. She was very nice. Her second stop was to take our orders. Food runner came and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for water as my glass was bone dry (I even ate my ice) and others' were 1/4-1/3 full. She said she couldn't bring beverages. It's water...not vodka. Weird. So Laura eventually comes back and filled our drinks and left the bill. She did overhear the birthday happenings and was nice enough to offer a free dessert. She got her cash payment and we never saw her again. Maybe it was the end of her shift? It just felt off. The table next to us had quite a few complaints and had a different server, so maybe there was just a bad vibe with the staff today? Hopefully management can figure it out. Bathrooms were nice and decor was nice throughout the restaurant.

They ordered bbq chicken, smothered chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans & cornbread. If i'm being honest none of the food looked appetizing in the serving trays so I was already skeptical. I've always kind of heard mixed reviews about MS but it was still on my list to check it out. My job allowed us 1 meat option, 1 side + green beans and cornbread. I got the bbq chicken and it was sitting in a watery bbq sauce (which was explained by a coworker serving it as it's a bbq gravy?) I got the baked mac and cheese, which a soul food restaurant should be able to deliver... it was just salty! The cheese burnt on top was inedible and it overall it wasn't good. The cornbread was really dry. Overall not good.

The standout appetizer was definitely the deviled eggs with shrimp -- honestly, they were the star of the meal. The combination of the creamy deviled egg filling and the crispy, flavorful shrimp was outstanding. I ordered the Chipotle-style salmon, and the salmon itself was cooked beautifully -- tender, flavorful, and perfectly done. The tomato rice was also excellent and complemented the fish really well. The only thing I would change is the pineapple salsa, which was a bit too tart for my taste, but it didn't take away from how good the dish was overall. We also tried the short rib mac and cheese, which was rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. The short rib was tender, and the dish was definitely comfort food done right. Another fish entrée at the table was equally impressive, with a perfectly crisp exterior and moist, flaky fish inside. Overall, Hazelwood delivered great food, even on a busy night. Their menu has some Asian twists which I was excited for. They also have wood fire pizzas if you like that. I don't go to restaurants for an overpriced pizza. I go for main course entrees that I'm hoping to get a wow from. We tried the chicken wings as a starter (only thing is that it came out with the entrees). The wings had a burnt flavor with a slight Asian twang. The hot mustard dipping sauce cleared my sinuses and tasted sorta like horseradish. It didn't pair well with the wings to me. For the main courses we tried the orecchiette and the grilled whole fish. The orecchiette was boring and needed more of a sauce. The grilled fish was also boring and was just a fish without any sauce. Is this a thing? I feel like fish needs a little more something. And for $55, I'm wanting a really good fish. The main courses don't come with sides, so you order separate sides that are larger portion "to share". The smoked potato purée was weird and I don't think smokey potatoes should be a thing. Overall, we didn't like any food item we tried or the vibes.

First off, going through the hidden Coke machine entrance is actually really fun and makes the whole place feel like a little adventure. The decor and speakeasy atmosphere are definitely the standout. Very cool space. VERY loud though. Like "lean across the table and say WHAT?" loud at times. The waitress was super nice and recommended a mocktail for me that called Ass in the Sand. It ended up being really good. It tasted like an elevated lemonade and was probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. Started with the rolls and whipped honey butter which were delicious. Very soft, warm, and honestly dangerous because I could've just kept eating bread all night. For the main meal, I did the Wagyu Burger with Parmesan fries. The burger itself was okay but surprisingly didn't have a ton of flavor outside of the grilled/charred taste. The Parmesan fries were actually the standout for me -- hand cut fries and parmesan fries are just hard to mess up. My partner tried the Mushroom Soup en Croute and wasn't a fan because the mushrooms were blended and he said it lacked flavor. He also had a Steak Taco special using their medallion steak and said even with lime it still needed more flavor. Finished with Crème Brûlée which is always a classic favorite for me and this one was good. Overall: fun experience, cool hidden entrance, great decor, good mocktail and bread, but the actual food menu is pretty limited and the flavors didn't totally wow me for the price.
