I did not come back into my apartment until the next day, only to find that the traffic areas were the same and the spots that have been on the carpet were still there. I started by contacting multiple cleaning services via Yelp (messaged each one) and Golden Shine was by far the friendliest and most informative. They seemed like they actually wanted my business. So we proceeded with booking a day for them to come. The booking process was simple and they recommend making a list of things you want to be handled first, to make sure they get your required places cleaned in case they run out of time. I was also told the cleaners were required to go through a background check, which was comforting. We ended up booking a specific amount of time and set a cut of time so that if the cleaners weren't finished by that time, they would leave and we wouldn't continue to get charged. Well it just so happened that the day our cleaners were scheduled to come, I went into labor. The LAST thing on my mind was the cleaning service, but they were on top of things and called my phone to let us know about what time they would arrive. My husband was able to answer and explained to them what was going on. We still wanted them to come even though the thought of strangers in our place without one of us there was nerve racking. They were so accommodating and were willing to go to the front office of our complex to get a key (that we requested for them). They let themselves in our place to clean, and cleaned away. We got home two days after the cleaning, but it still smelled freshly cleaned and looked great! My only negative comment is that they put two of our cast iron pans in the dishwasher - huge no no! I ended up having to re-season both pans. But I can't blame them, the two pans were sitting out (I had forgotten to put them away before going into labor and didn't remember to tell them not to worry about the pans), so they were just doing their jobs. I would only hope this review will help and the cleaners are explained the cast iron pots should never, ever be put in a dishwasher much less cleaned with soap! Overall, I'd recommend this cleaning service! Just make sure to be specific about things you do/don't want!

I am utterly peeved. I truly believe that this company has their family or friends write fake reviews. Because there is no way this company can have so many reviews & maintain 4 stars, no way. The woman that came to my house, stated her name is Cheese or whatever. She came in with her own supplies & I left her to clean my condo. 3 hours later, my fiancé comes home during his lunch break to escort her out, not able to check her work. I came by the following day & saw that nothing had been cleaned with the exception of the windows. She cleaned my windows for 3 hours?! I complained to Maria regarding Cheese's work: -Bathtub was not clean (I wiped my finger on the bathtub & dust came off, refer to picture) -Bathroom sink was not clean -Kitchen sink was not clean -Cabinets in the hallways were not clean (picture) -Cabinets in kitchen were not clean (picture after 2nd "cleaning") -Kitchen countertops were not clean Cheese came by the following day, not happy that she was back. The worst part was that she came back & did not want to clean some of the items that Maria & I discussed! She did not want to wipe down my granite countertops because they were granite. All she had to do was use a cloth to wipe it down... & after the fact, I still had to clean everything because she did a crap job! A week after, I bought a Swiffer Wet Jet & the towels were black after each use. She never mopped my floor like she had stated she did (picture).

They are hard working, honest!!!, pleasant, smiling, they speak English and their fees are not that bad and definately well worth it. I have a huge, high maintenance house, and before I found Ace of Maids I spent hours each day cleaning myself or I had to hang around all day while the cleaning was done for me. With Cheryl and her crew, they are in and out in a matter of a few hours. The owner, Cheryl, works right along side her crew and they are not slackers in the least. My house just sparkles when they leave. I am so thrilled with this company that I have recommended them to help my 86 year old mother with her housework too. They just don't come any better. Unfortunately, the two team members who did our scheduled "deep clean" did no such thing. In fact, I ended up contacting Niche and Clean minutes after they left because: They did not clean the oven or refrigerator (part of deep clean services). Additionally, they did not thoroughly clean bathroom (shower wall still had mildew/build-up). So, they returned 10 minutes after they left and cleaned shower and refrigerator. They forgot the oven. Again. After they left the second time, I noticed they dusted around items on end tables. So I had to dust myself. My agreement with Maria when we scheduled deep cleaning, was: 1 bedroom, 1 office, kitchen, dining room, family room, refrigerator, and kitchen. We agreed on a discounted price (she took $60 off total) in exchange for a couch in our office that we are not using. Her team did not even end up cleaning the one bedroom and, of course, did a terrible job in bathroom, family room, and kitchen. While Maria was gracious and tried to schedule a time for her to return so she could clean our oven herself, our schedules did not work. Then, this: 1) She texted last week requesting payment AND to say she needed to pick up the couch. 2) Since I did receive anything close to satisfactory service, I said I was not going to pay for services that were unsatisfactory. In retrospect, I can see that was a pretty unreasonable statement and a reach for me; I imagine how unsettling that would be for a business owner to hear. That said, she did tell my mother-in-law that if the job isn't done well, there would be some recourse. 3) An hour after her text, Maria shows up on our doorstep demanding payment in cash or Zelle (we had neither). She wanted the full, not the negotiated payment (since she was not going to pay $60 for our couch). I completely understand paying for services. I do NOT understand demanding FULL payment, without offering a discount for service recovery. Yes, Maria was so kind and tried several times to return and clean our oven. But - what about the other things her team members missed? They had to come back 10 minutes after they left to clean things they missed. Regardless of the oven or the couch - there seemed to be NO consideration for the one bedroom they did not clean OR for the generally poor quality of what they did clean. Maria's defense for this was, "But I already paid the two workers. So now I lost money because I already paid them." I am not sure if or how her team members were paid their full rate (apparently they have since been let go). And I am definitely not sure how that responsibility was placed fully on me. I understand that my complaints about unsatisfactory cleaning services pale in comparison to most issues people are facing. I also think this information (or ratings in general) can be useful. I think those of Maria's clients who receive wonderful/stellar service are lucky. I know she has loyal and appreciative customers.
