I don't think I can properly put into words how amazing the guys are with 1/2 Price Movers but I'm going to try! Moving is stressful whether it's a personal move or a business. In my case my business was relocating and having known many people who used 1/2 Price Movers for personal home moves, I was happy to hear they did businesses as well. From start to finish I have no complaints. Christine and Jesse at the home office were sweet, accommodating and professional. Now on to the wonderful gentlemen who did the actual move. John C, Anthony, Leo, Steve V, Conner, Erick, and Al. I could not have picked a better group. They are truly the heart of the company. They were personable, respectful and helpful. I didn't expect there to be as much fun or laughter during a move. When is this process ever described as fun! You could tell they enjoyed what they were doing and who they were doing it with. They defined teamwork. They were able to handle anything I asked of them and I never once heard them say they couldn't do it or make it work somehow. They never complained or lost their positive attitudes. I had concerns about some very expansive items that needed to be moved. They put me right at easy and made it their priority to move them with the utmost care. And on top of all of that they were fast but never careless or destructive. On 10/24/23, I called 1/2 Price Movers to have my refrigerator, my glass kitchen table with 4 chairs and a curio to be moved. I was so shocked that I got an appointment right away and on a Sunday (10/29) no less. They told me that I would receive a phone call from my driver the day of pickup around 1/2 hour before they would be there. Well at 8:00 a.m. I received the phone call from the driver his name was Danny, he told me he would be there at 8:30 and at 8:30 Danny and John C. were there. They were the 2 nicest men I have ever met. They went straight to work I asked them questions and they answered them with no hesitation. They had to bring 2 items to storage and 1 item to where I was moving. They asked me which stop I wanted first, they definitely didn't have to do that, they could have just told me where they were going first, but they didn't. I want to say 1/2 Price Movers you have 2 great guys working for you. They were pleasant, polite and very attentive to what we wanted. I called up 1/2 Price Movers in the beginning of the week to schedule an urgent move. I was that nightmare customer that claims they only have "2 pieces of furniture". Eric was able to schedule a truck for that Saturday. Since the beginning to the end of the week I had added more furniture. Danny, John C, Travis, Jones called me ahead of time on the day of the move. They asked if they could bring me coffee! They showed up in a happy go lucky mood (singing while they worked). Every single one of them were happy, professional, respectable with excellent customer service skills, (I kept telling them to be careful and don't get hurt) they took great care in not damaging any walls or furniture. The truck was immaculate and able to accommodate more than my last minute additions. I didn't even have time to price around before the move. I didn't need to. The price was in line with what I expected. There were no hidden costs or surprises that I didn't expect (I knew adding on would raise the price but not by much). Vinny, Blake, and Matt did an amazing job with my move. They didn't so much as graze a single wall in either home, and they packed my furniture with incredible care and intention. I couldn't believe how quickly they worked, but what impressed me even more was how efficient and organized they were. Nothing was damaged, and they were professional from start to finish. When we arrived at my new place, they did a walkthrough first to understand exactly where everything should go, making sure every box was placed in the correct room. As they assembled furniture and positioned rugs, they checked in with me to make sure I was happy with the placement before moving on. They also deserve credit for navigating the moving truck at both locations. I moved from a home on a circle to a condo building with very tight access, and they managed both without blocking traffic or getting in anyone's way. I highly recommend 1/2 Price Movers, but I'll go one step further and recommend requesting this specific crew. Thank you to Mark and Sean's crew for a great job. And Linda at the office was great as well. Linda "walks" you through each room of your house over the phone in order to estimate the cost of your move. The quote given was fairly accurate. The cost ended up being slightly more only because I had a few more things and a few more boxes to move. I have used them and other family members have used them on numerous occasions and every time they have been courteous, efficient, careful and no hidden fees or surprises when it comes time to unload your truck. Some moving companies hold your belongings hostage until you pay them much more than you expected. This has never happened with half price movers. I have used them 4 times in the past 12 years with no issues. I highly recommend them! They do their best to give you your desired start time. I asked for 11am, and the driver called me at 10:30 telling me they were on their way. They take your furniture apart and put it back together in your new place. Moving is stressful enough and mine was an out of state move. I can't thank AJ, Matt and Dylan enough. They were very professional and made me feel at ease since I was stressed. I can't believe how fast they were and insured everything was wrapped properly with quilts not to damage anything and were just as careful placing my belongings in the storage unit. The price was reasonable and they were very courteous, professional and fast. I hope not to move again, but if I did I would call them and RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE. After using 3 other moving companies, I saw this staff to have terrible manners, they like to play around on the job. The covers to my furniture stunk of Marijuana. THEY SHOULD ALL BE DRUG TESTED.. I'm welcoming your men inti my home trusting them with my personal items, I'd like themto be able to concentrate and not scratch my walls many times without saying, for me to see it after the job is done. . I gave a 2 star because the woman o spoke to on the phone was great to my wife. And I know the owner to have done great things outside the company. This is the third time I have used 1/2 Price Movers. I have also recommended them to many others. I would not do that unless I had total faith that it would not be something I would regret later. They are so good, I have run out of superlatives to use in my reviews. I just find it hard to believe that each crew works so hard, fast and carefully, while smiling the entire time. I don't think any of the crew would be more careful even for their own belongings. They take pride in their job and it translates to the customer. Moving is stressful enough. Worrying about scratches and breakage are the last thing anyone wants to think about. The crew constantly reassures you that everything is under control. Moving is tough and scary. You worry about your things, how they are going to get there and how much it will cost but 1/2 Price Movers made this a five star experience. It was easy to get an estimate and book a date for the same week. They took my calls as I kept adding stops and items to the list-they were professional and accommodating. It was no stress at all. The day of the move I met Jeremy, John and Mark who were the best- quick efficient, careful and thorough. I can't say enough good things about Balvin, Matt, Daniel, and Zay. They handled a very large move with a truck that was packed completely to the brim, and they were outstanding from start to finish. These guys were awesome, professional, and quick. They showed up to our apartment (when they said they were going to, as well as giving us a heads up that they were on their way), wrapped up the all the fragile stuff for us with padding and tapped it all up, they were in and out before we knew it. We didn't have to worry about a thing. They dissembled, and reassembled the bed and everything. Unloading the truck they asked us where we wanted everything to go, before they put it in the house. They were extremely nice, friendly, and did not break a thing. Not a dent, not a scratch, nothing (and it was some heavy stuff). They handled everything with care, even after they were all finished they went the extra mile and gave us a hand offering to help out lifting some stuff into the attic. I had an outstanding experience with 1/2 Price Movers! We had four movers, all young guys, two of them were Albanian. They were all very professional and efficient. All of them worked seamlessly to make our move as smooth as possible. The movers arrived on time and managed the complex logistics of our move flawlessly. We had furniture and boxes going to different locations, and they followed directions perfectly. What impressed me most was how they organized our storage room. They carefully stacked everything to maximize the space while ensuring that no items or furniture were damaged. This team clearly takes pride in their work, and it shows in their attention to detail. When I decided to move, I started getting quotes from different moving companies since cheaper is most definitely not always better. Linda at 1/2 price movers was extremely polite and receptive to what I needed. On moving day, before they arrived I was naturally nervous and anxious. My crew kept on touch with me as to when they will arrive and when they did arrive it was comedy. All four of this crew were so courteous, professional, and simply hysterical. She was very nice and gave me a price that was literally 1/2 the price of the other companies that I called. The moving team got to my house. TJ, JOJIT, KIRK, KIRILL.They were very nice and very professional. They moved my items with care.They let me know ahead of time how much the items that I did not list would cost before loading them and surprising me with a higher bill. At the new place they put everything where I wanted it. They put my beds back together!! I love this company! I would definitely recommend them and of course use them again! 1/2 Price Movers did a great job moving our family into our new house. i booked it last minute due to the non-availability of the company i originally contacted. The representative who booked the move over the phone asked me exhaustive questions about what we had and quoted me a price that was more than fair. I fully expected to pay more after they moved us but that did not happen. The guys arrived at 8:30 (on time) and were courteous, careful, respectful and diligent. The foreman, Dario, handled all of the financial terms and was quite comprehensive (and fair). Dario's assistants, Matt, Nick and Sean, were excellent and swift workers. Honestly, these guys went above and beyond for my wife, my daughter and me and set our minds at ease during what turned out to be a large move. They got right down to business upon arrival and were very flexible in writing up and moving the "extras" that we didn't account for in our 12 years living in our Staten Island home. I had an amazing experience with half price movers. When I called and set up my appointment the receptionist (Linda) was extremely helpful and patient with me. Then when the moving men arrived (Mark, Sean, Eric,Nick) they were on time, extremely professional, and worked well together as a team. In addition, they were extremely patient and sweet with my 2 year old son who kept trying to play with them. They disassembled all of my large furniture and then reassembled it at the new location so well. I was very overwhelmed on the day of the move because I had my two year old son with me and my husband had to work so I was on my own. After very short notice that I needed to move (landlord of 10 years seemingly overnight decided to sell her house) I called around and got many quotes from moving companies. My brother recommended your company as you recently helped his brother in law move. From the initial quote conversation (thanks Miranda for getting the morning approved) to the moving crew everything went as smooth as a last minute move could go. What's up y'all?!?! I'm just taking the much needed time in the middle of my move to give credit to Danny B., John C. and Tyler. Everybody knows how CRAZY moving can be, and were actually moving out of state!! But as soon as they arrived it was nothing but dedicated hard work. There sincerity, politeness and professionalism made both my wife and I very relaxed and happy knowing that everything is taken care of. We used them when we moved from a one bedroom apartment to the house were currently moving out of again and now to Jersey.
