The $1.50 advertisement really caught my attention and to my surprise it is really $1.50 cheese pizza per slide ! Who knew you can find affordable food right in the middle of time square? Well just a few more blocks down but still close enough. This pizza was crunchy and it was just the perfect amount of flavor. The cheese or pepperoni flavor was not overpowering , it was just right! I decided to come here on my last day in NY, but I'm making it my first stop on my next trip. The service could use a little extra help but you are there for the fresh pizza. Can't wait to come back.

The name and price certainly got my attention. Having just landed around noon, I was hungry for anything. As it's been awhile since my last NY pizza, thought this would be good as it's few blocks from my hotel. Going in, it's a very small. 2 guys working. Was going to get pizza, but they all looked a bit dry and old. Decided on Philly cheesesteak last min, but had no idea I had to wait 10-15 min. Finally got the food and walked 3 blocks to my hotel. As they were wrapped, it was still warm. Not much meat, but tasted decent. But the fact I had to wait for so long and for very little meat, I wouldn't bother to return. Or maybe I should've gotten the pizza instead as that's what they're know for.

Cheap, quick, and easy cheese pizza for $1.50 The crust was soft and the under carriage wasn't as crunchy/stable but what can you expect for how cheap it is? Service was efficient and since they go thru slices rapidly, the pizzas seem to always be fresh or just made. Would definitely eat at a place like this during a drunken food night!

This place is right at 3.5 stars. But with the 2 pizza slices and a soda deal for $3, this review gets bumped up to 4 stars. The quality wasn't spectacular. The cheese wasn't fully melted, and you can see it on the pizza and judge how you'll perceive the taste to be: just okay. The upside about 99 Cent Fresh Pizza were the topping choices. There was a good amount to choose from. There is another pizza joint diagonally across the street with a similar name so don't get that place confused with this one.

it was so convenient to come here after seeing the insanely long line at joes... and the pizza here is delicious too!! i would def come back if i was in the area and craving a nice slice of New York pizza inside is small and crowded like your typical pizza joint. u just go in and out~ quick and efficient not to mention the price?? such a steal!

Some of these locations are better than others. I think the trick is to go during a busy time because then the cheese pizzas just keep coming and coming fresh out of the oven. This one is close to the Broadway theatres AND it's around the corner from Joe's (which is also good). But if you go after a show like I've done twice now, the Joe's line will be around the corner. This line will just be slightly out the front door. Cash only. Two cheese slices + a soda or water is still cheap = $3. I think one cheese slice is still $1, but someone mentioned it might've gone up to $1.50. We got 3 slices (2 cheese, 1 pepperoni) and a water and I think we got charged separately instead of the $3 deal. But no biggie. It was still only about $6. No sitting tables, just stand at counters and eat. Use the toppings! The pizza when fresh is the best. When it's not fresh, it's just a cheese slice of pizza. Makes a big difference.

Pepperoni and Sausage slices were $2.25 each. Pizza was decent, can't beat the price.

It's 99 cent pizza, so not much to rave about lols. But if you're looking for a cheap slice (or you're rushing to the airport and this is the closest option and you've just been dying to try NY pizza), go for it.

I ordered an 18 inch cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. The pepperonis were super oily, a bit more than the usual NYC pep slice. Overall it's a good deal, $8 for the cheese pizza and $12 for the pepperoni and the slices freeze well. Service was quick, I only waited maybe 10min for fresh pies. Be aware that it's cash only. If you want to stop by for a quick slice, there's narrow planks on both walls for you to eat your pizza there.

When in NY, you gotta have at least one slice of the infamous $1 pizza and this is the place to do it. This is definitely not the best pizza that you will have, but it checks the box for the NY experience. I ordered one slice of the cheese pizza and one slice of the mushroom pizza. The cheese pizza is great bang for your buck! I would pass on the mushroom pizza if I had to visit again because the mushrooms were a little sus (see pic for reference) and looked like they straight-up came out of a can. A slice of cheese pizza is $1. 1-topping pizzas are $1.75 and premium pizzas are $2.50/slice. They also offer a variety of condiments to jazz up your pizza (red pepper flakes, oregano, and hot sauce).

It's a grab and go local pizza joint on the cheap. Can't complain for the price it's a deal.

two pizza + 2 Cheese Slices and a Can Drink or water $4 each , we paid $8 total for 2 people's dinner

Food was 8/10 Service was 10/10 super fast + easy to order , you don't take more than 5 mins ordering and getting your food & drinks We seen a lot of people coming in and out quick to grab a bite. Small area to eat but it was an overall good NYC pizza experience , would come again!

It was oddly a Sunday and we were actually walking a few blocks to meet others for dinner, but I came across this place and couldn't help but stop for a slice...as a snack! And I'm glad I did! it restored my faith in NY pizza, reminded me that NY pizza could never taste like any normal NY pizza even if they said it was NY pizza, but this was definitely NY PIZZA! We got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of Margherita and it just melted in my mouth. The flavors, the perfection of the thin crust, the seasoning -- I wish I lived much closer! We also got garlic knots which were awesome also! I enjoyed the sitting at the counter experience and having an ice cold coke with my slice. It was the best snack before my next dinner meal and I cannot complain at all! This is definitely one of my favorite pizza places in NY!

The slices were huge, thin, and had that signature foldable crust with a great balance of crispness and chew. The Pepperoni was one of my favorites. It came loaded with generous amounts of pepperoni, and the thin crust let all the flavors shine without feeling too heavy. Simple, classic, and really satisfying. The standout, though, was the Meat Lovers. I'm usually not the biggest fan of combination pizzas, but this one completely changed my mind. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the generous toppings were well-balanced without overwhelming the crust. It was easily the highlight of the meal. The Plain Cheese was the weakest of the three not because it was bad, but because it was exactly what you'd expect from a classic cheese slice. It had a nice cheesy flavor and solid texture, just nothing particularly memorable compared to the other two. Service was impressively fast despite the long line, and the Spider-Man-themed décor gave the restaurant a fun, unique New York vibe. Overall, I really enjoyed the pizza and can confidently say it lived up to the New York-style reputation. If I had to compare it to Pizza My Heart, I'd give this place a slight edge.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
