    A classic pepperoni slice.

A solid slice shop. Stumbled upon it when looking for a quick lunch. Does not disappoint. I went for the basic pepperoni but this place pretty much covers all the bases.

Was looking for a place to eat and came across this Champion Pizza location so decided to stop in. I do love this place already but the special they had that was two slices for, I think, $5 is what really drew me in. The lady took our order and she was so incredibly nice. Our pizza came out hot and fresh in less than five minutes. Like every time I come to a location, these slices were delicious! Nice and hot with a satisfying cheese pull. Haha!! Lots of flavor and like I said, very delicious. Wish there was a closer location to where I live cause I can safely say this is one of my favorite places to get pizza. Two thumbs up!

Hubby and I are always on the hunt for the best pizza in New York City so we stopped by Champion Pizza. They have many locations around the city, but we were closest to the Times Square location. I mainly stopped in to try the Burrata slice, because I've seen so many people post about it on Instagram and I will tell you it was phenomenal! I gobbled it down and even ate the crust. I'm very picky about my crust. This slice was light and airy if you can believe that even with burrata on it. I cant stop thinking about it. As I looked more into this pizza joint, I figured out they are known for their square slices, similar to grandma slices. So we had to try an a few squares. We went with the Tricolor, the Lasagna (which was original for me) and the Upside Down Pepperoni. I will say all were very good, and super thick and delicious! But honestly, I'd d go back just for 10 more Burrata slices. If you haven't heard the story behind Champion Pizza and its founder, Hakki Akdeniz, check out how his passion for pizza led to the creation of this iconic spot.

Stopped by for a quick lunch on a Tuesday. There were a variety of slices ready to be heated. All of them (tried about 5 different types) were really good but my favorite was the meat lovers! The slices are rectangles but they are cut into two squares. They are very filling! I could barely finish them. Clean restaurant with a variety of cold drinks. The gentleman running the restaurant was very kind.

Yep. If you need a quick bite, This place is good. Just a few blocks away from time square. The square pizza is soft and has flavor.

Some people do like ham and pineapple on a pizza, Yum.

Great taste and CRUNCHY!! Best pizza we have had in a while. So glad we found it! Cane quickly. Ambiance was just fine for a walk in pizza place. We'll be back.

Quick, polite and friendly service & a great deal on high quality pizza. Worth it in and over saturated pizza market.

Margherita Pesto Slice and Chicken Buffalo Slice

The pizza was delicious and pretty cheap for how much you get. We liked the margherita pesto slice so much we went back and ordered seconds to go

Absolutely crushed the Lasagna Pizza slices I got.

The crust was very thin, even for a NYC slice, and was alright, being a bit doughy at the top. I found the sauce too sweet for my liking, which almost reminded me of the rather terrible Little Italy chain. There was plenty of cheese, and it had a good pull, even if it looked a bit overcooked on top. I'm presuming the average ratings here and on other sites are because of their location and the fact that a lot of tourists who go here can't tell the difference between Joe's and a dollar slice. Perfectly decent slice on the level, if not worse than many slices in the city, as I disliked the sauce, while the rest was fine.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

You will taste flavors that you've probably never experienced before with a pizza. Also, the different textures of the arugula, creaminess of the cheese, and the perfect crust will make it a memorable selection. For dessert, we shared the Buttermilk Panna Cotta. RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
