Our daughter moved to Colorado from NJ and my husband wanted to send her a fruit bouquet for Valentine's Day I placed the order 2/6/25 to be delivered 2/12/25, I figured they would be super busy so I would have it delivered to her job a couple days early. I was tracking the order, called several times and was assured it would be there before 4. The order did not arrive, I called again and they said 4:30, still didn't arrive. She waited until 5:30, as I am arguing with them on the phone, and they tell me their policy is they deliver to businesses until 6. I again told them when I placed the order and when I called I was assured they could deliver it by 4. They finally deliver it on 2/12 but didn't deliver it to my daughter since she was gone and her office was closed. I called again, they tell me they will send out a replacement 2/13 which I agreed to but told them I needed it to be delivered by 3:30 and again they assured me it would be there and again the same thing happened. I had a conversation through text and over the phone and was fed nothing but empty promises. I call again and spent 45 minutes on the phone with an agent that is going to send out a replacement on Friday which never happened because they had nothing available but not to worry I would get a refund! Valentine's Day was totally sabotaged by this company. I placed my $500.00 order 3 days in advance just to be sure it would be delivered on time which was supposed to be TODAY FEB 14TH by 1 p.m . I confirmed this by speaking with a representative as soon as I placed the order. Not only was the order NOT delivered but no one knows when it WILL BE. At this point, it's not about the money, it's about today's planned memory that I'll NEVER get back. When consumers such as myself choose a company to spend their hard earned money with, we expect quality merch as well as quality service, which I received neither. The only thing this company did was IMMEDIATELY remove funds from my account without hesitation, however as of this time right now at 10:30 pm, THEY STILL CANNOT TELL ME WHERE MY ORDER IS OR WHEN IT WILL BE DELIVERED! Today is my wedding anniversary. And my husband ordered a bouquet of flowers to be delivered to my job. It was supposed to be delivered at 10:00 he was tracking it. And he got a notification that it wouldn't be delivered until tomorrow the next day after our anniversary. So he called 1-800 Flowers and was put on hold for 45 minutes and spoke to somebody and said oh yeah we'll deliver it tomorrow he was very upset. Because that's not our anniversary today is our anniversary. They said oh well we'll refund you some fees that doesn't make up for it. So then somebody calls me at my job and tells me that oh your husband bought you a lovely bouquet of flowers but we're going to deliver it tomorrow. I wasn't even supposed to know about it it was supposed to be a surprise so they ruined that for me. This company doesn't care about the customers obviously. I only found out when I had called my mother at the end of the day, the email had said it was delivered when it was not. My personalized message with my photo and personal information was lost. I called twice. Spoke to two nice representatives. They both said they would resolve the issues but did not. Thankfully I paid by credit card and will dispute it with my credit card company and get my money back but it is not worth the aggravation of not having a delivery. Horrible Service! If I could do negative stars, I would. I ordered for next day delivery, which would be a Friday (before a long weekend) to a business address. The flowers were sent via Fedex. Fedex had an issue with delivery and the flowers were not delivered until Tuesday and just left at the door during business hours (I know this is a Fedex employee - but 1800 flowers works with them!)...can you imagine how the flowers were? The recipients response to me when asked was: "I hate to say this, but they look sad." Not the response you expect when you gift flowers. Reached out to customer service via email...because the phone and all the options are a waste of time as is the auto chat...no response to my email. RUN far away! My order was supposed to be delivered today. I spoke with customer service as well as the chat to confirm delivery today, to which they both confirmed. I advised the live representative on the customer service line around 12 noon today that if this couldn't be delivered today I want to cancel the order. BUYER BEWARE!!! I wish I could give less than 1 star! After the first time, I should have known. Both orders, the flowers didn't last more than a day or two before the petals started falling off. For Valentine's Day, the rose petals were coming off the first day. These flowers were delivered with a vase, so they were in water almost immediately after my wife received them. See attached picture. Also delivery seems to be a big problem. I have used this company 2x in the past 6 months. For my anniversary, they delivered the flowers for my wife on the wrong day. I placed a Mother's Day order on April 16, 2023. On May 11, 2023, I was contacted and told that one order could not be fulfilled. The agent promised me a full refund and a $50 gift certificate. I received the refund, but no gift certificate. I received a second and third call on May 11 about the second order. I refused the first offer from the agent who could not promise the same as the previous agent who called and promised that a supervisor would call me back. No one called me back, until a different agent called me and eventually I was transferred to a supervisor, that person also could not help me, and after 40 minutes, the agent could not provide a satisfactory resolution and I refused to cancel the order. On May 11, I contacted Harry and David chat and was told that tracking numbers had been created and the both shipments were on schedule for delivery. On May 12, neither package was delivered to my mother or mother in law. On Saturday, May 13, I called 1800Flowers and the agent agreed to resend both shipments (different items) for delivery on May 16, I would also get $20 gift certificates for each order and a partial refund on the uncancelled order. On May 15, I could not find any information about the new shipments and tried to contact 1800Flowers through the chat. They took so long to reply that I could not wait to finish the conversation. In the afternoon on May 15, I called 1800Flowers and was told that only one order had been placed and that the second order could not be placed since they already did a 'courtesy' for me in the one replacement order. I spoke with a supervisor, who repeated the same thing 5 times and never tried to help me resolve this issue. This was horrible customer service from 1800Flowers. I felt that I was lied to by several agents and was told different things at different times. No one would confirm what I was told by listening to any recorded calls. In fact, the May 15 agents had no record of my speaking with an agent on May 13! I found the phone number for 1800Flowers Corporate office and spoke with an operator there. She is incredibly helpful and resolved my issue, by sending the second replacement gift; it will not arrive until May 23. I am appalled by the awful service by the 1800Flowers agents, but happy to know that the Corporate office takes complaints seriously and corrects mistakes. I understand that it is impossible to maintain a high standard for all agents in call offices, but the fact that 6 people told me several different things and promised several different things and then I was told differently is bad business. I ordered a basket weeks ago and paid extra for a custom card and for the specific day, August 16th, my father's birthday, for a basket to be delivered. I contacted about a week ago to make sure my basket was still set to arrive on my father's birthday and was told everything was fine and it would be there and delivered to his job. I contacted AGAIN today around 1:30-2:00 since I still haven't heard from my father about him getting it and was told my order was placed on HOLD because of the custom card I was ALLOWED to order when I purchased my basket. No one called me. No one emailed me. No one contacted me at all to let me know my order was on "hold" and that my father would not be receiving his basket. I ordered the Easter Egg Basket. The flowers arrived with no basket and no egg. I called customer service. They put in a replacement order for the flowers to be redelivered with basket and egg the next day. The next day (today), I received an email saying that the flowers had been delivered. I went downstairs to the package concierge - he searched all over and couldn't find anything. This concierge is very good - knows me by name and has never had any problem with my deliveries. I called customer service again. They told me they were "concerned" that one of my neighbors picked it up. I find this incredibly hard to believe for two reasons: 1) My building never sent me an email about this delivery (indicating that it had never arrived at all rather than that someone else picked it up - plus, since the package concierge knows me by name, it's impossible that he would've given it to someone else). 2) Other reviewers seem to have had similar problems with this company. I believe they ran out of baskets and eggs and then just pretended that the replacement had been delivered. So that they're not just incompetent, they're also flat-out liars. read more

I contacted them for a refund, which I was denied and a reordee was placed. The reorder never arrived. After that, I called again about the reorder not arriving and wanting a refund. Was denied the refund a second time and a second reorder was placed. The second reorder was never arrived. So after 7 days, I am left with a gift that didn't even last 5 days and never got a replacement. I am out money, a gift and patience. So many problems with my order. 1. Sent my flowers via FedEx instead of via a florist, which completely destroys the presentation and purpose of flowers. 2. Flowers never made it onto FedEx truck on delivery day. Recipient is on last day of her work week and is on vacation next week. Thus, even one day late is unacceptable. 3. Called customer service and reps do not understand ANY English. I don't mean they have an accent or understand some English. NONE. They kept reading the script and when i asked questions, they would sit in silence. I would then say hello and they would respond hello. This went in circles over and over again. 4. After 3 hours of calling I finally convinced them to get me a supervisor. Supervisor speaks some English, but kept telling me that there was another 3 hours in the business day. Yes, but the order is NOT on the FedEx delivery truck which left the station at 4am. It CANNOT be delivered today because it is not on the truck. She refused me a refund. Whether the order is delivered tomorrow or not is irrelevant because the guaranteed delivery was by 5pm today. So I have now paid for an order that was not received. NEVER EVER order from 1-800-FLOWERS. You will not get what you paid for and you will be pulling your hair out trying to deal with their third world country customer service.
