Roasted Beet Salad with salmon - sub no dairy
    Hannah F.

I enjoyed 1 Kitchen for lunch on two different occasions! The interior and patio dining space is beautiful with a modern bohemian esthetic. Think high ceilings, neutral tones, and earthy finishes. Matching the ambiance, the menu features a wide range of healthy farm to table dishes from fresh juices to grains and greens. It's worth noting that their lunch time menu is actually a brunch menu with a combination of more traditional breakfast items joined by more savory lunch type dishes all on one menu. I am personally not a fan of breakfast foods so I was relieved to see several salads, sandwiches and bowls available. During my two visits I tried the spicy carrot hummus bowl and the roasted beet salad, both with added salmon. Both dishes were fresh and filling. While the food was nourishing and satisfying, it did feel a bit expensive. Salads and bowls run about $20 plus or minus a few dollars but added salmon or shrimp adds an additional $12 or $15, respectively. This feels a little pricey for lunch.

Came here for breakfast. The coffee is hot and the service is very friendly. We shared a chicken and waffle, which was amazing. A little bit spicy a little bit sweet and a lot a bit good. Also shared biscuits and gravy with eggs, amazing. Flavors were beyond delicious.

My husband and I are in town from Phoenix to see "The Birth of the King." We found 1 Kitchen on Yelp and chose to eat here because it advertised farm to table dining which we love. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite attractive with a lot of attention to detail ....beautiful plants, cozy evening lighting and wooden elements. Our waiter, Shreyas was absolutely outstanding! One of the best parts of the experience. He was warm, kind and attentive. He gave drink recommendations to accompany our food choices & meal selection recommendations. My husband ordered the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and the calamari. I ordered the mushroom ragu with beef and the roasted cauliflower. Everything was fabulous....by far our best meal in Nashville.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. I had a great burger. They had fantastic bread and butter pickles on the burger. Crisp lettuce and a form tomato. 10/10 I highly suggest you drop by. Lighting and music were on point! Great selection of booze in the bar of that's your thing.

Great vegetarian options here. We love everything we got. Cauliflower - spicy but tasty Squash and Burrata - a must get Brussel Sprouts- delish Sourdough - good but nothing extraordinary Pistachio lemon curd cake - perfectly sweet but not overly sweet.. a must get Servers were great. Ambiance- a cool vibe where you could go casual or dressed up and you wouldn't be out of place either way

Wow, this place is amazing! You'll wanna live here, the vibe is so great. I loved the food; it was one of the best meals we had in Nashville this trip. Everything was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. The service is super nice and helpful. It's not super speedy, but it's not slow either, and I love the vibe with the low lights and everything. It's really well thought out, and you definitely have to check it out. It's just a short walk from the main stuff and the bars, so it's easy to find. We also liked that it's not right on the busy street. You step away a little, and you get some peace and quiet, which is awesome.

This was my first visit to 1 Kitchen, and I had high hopes--especially given the beautiful ambiance and aesthetic of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations . We ordered the shrimp à la plancha, Black Hawk beef teres major, burger, calamari, and Brussels sprouts. Of all the dishes, only the Brussels sprouts and burger were enjoyable. The rest of the food was either underseasoned or poorly cooked, which was disappointing considering our bill came to $250. On a positive note, our server was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and professional, which helped make the experience a bit more pleasant. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning, as the food simply didn't justify the price.

Great spot! Very earthy aesthetic and great for dietary restrictions. The fried chicken is gluten free and it is fantastic. Juicy, crunchy, perfectly cooked and well spiced. I got the chicken and waffles and the whipped ricotta was a great pairing with it. My partner got the sandwich and fries and also really enjoyed it. Loved their lattes as well but not impressed with the cold brew. Service was good as well! Will definitely be back next time we are in Nashville, it was probably my favorite dish of the trip!

This restaurant is top notch. If you are visiting Nashville make sure you stop in to this restaurant. The decor is amazing and the ambiance is top notch. During breakfast they have a dj playing vinyl records never experienced a dj playing from vinyls. Our server Star was attentive and patient with us. We enjoyed our visit and everything tasted great. You will not be disappointed if you grab breakfast, lunch or dinner.

1 Kitchen had a wonderful, upscale atmosphere, and the waiters were all extremely friendly. The food was good, but nothing out of this world. Not a bad dinner, though. Here's what I tried: -Brussel Sprouts: 7/10 - I really liked the added sweetness of the dates and the saltiness of the bacon, but I felt like there was too much dressing/vinegar, which took away from the crispiness of the sprouts. I can never hate a sprout, though. Still great. -Hush Puppies: 5/10 - I wanted to like these more than I did. This isn't something I would normally order but it was recommended by our waiter and the table next to us. The hush puppies were well cooked but they really were just run of the mill. They looked more interesting than they tasted. -Scallops: 7/10 - I loved the leek puree under the scallops, but I wish the scallops were more buttery and that the sauce had been a bit richer. The crispy decorations on top were a nice touch, though. -Chicken Bolognese: 8/10 - My favorite dish that we had. It was simple, but well executed. The pasta shape was fun (mid-length twisty noodles), and the sauce was creamy and meaty. I wouldn't go again but I walked out feeling satisfied!

Nice patio view. Love this tee tiny lamp.

This time, we switched things up and hit it for lunch instead. Good call. We grabbed seats at the bar, where Todd was holding down the fort. The guy was outstanding. Drinks never sat empty, food came out smoothly, and he somehow managed to be attentive without hovering over us every five minutes asking if everything was okay. My wife started with the Nashville Margue, which goes down way too easy for something packing moonshine. Light, refreshing, and carrying enough kick to remind you you're in Tennessee. Then Todd introduced us to a Bloody Mary made with a new pickle-infused vodka. Now, that sounds like one of those ideas that should either be amazing or a complete disaster. Turns out it's amazing. My wife loved it so much she's already talking about coming back tomorrow for another one. For food, we started with the pretzels and beer cheese. Simple. Warm. Soft. Salty. Exactly what you want while settling into a Nashville afternoon. Nothing fancy, just done right. Then I went all in on the mac and cheese topped with Nashville hot chicken. Yee Haw. Creamy mac and cheese. Crispy chicken. That signature Nashville heat. Comfort food with a little attitude. Just the way it should be. The best thing about The Stillery is that it knows exactly what it is. Good food. Good drinks. Good people. No gimmicks. No trying too hard. Just a fun place to sit down, relax, and enjoy yourself. Fifteen trips to Nashville (together) and it's still one of our first stops. That's probably the strongest review I can give. Five stars.

They are known for their mac & cheese, which I have never tried in all of the times I have been to the Stillery. Very creamy, cheesy mac & cheese. The Nashville hot chicken has a nice spice to it. A bit mild for the serious hot chicken fans, but the flavor is there. The chicken tenders are fairly standard. And the crinkle fries are mid. I enjoyed both of the drinks. At $14.50, they are at least $1.50 less than the standard Broadway cocktails in the star bars, so iti s a less expensive option to get a drink. I don't think they ever have live music, unlike some others here, so you are going for the food, not the noise. Service was great, as always. The staff is always prompt and knows their menu. It is more bar food and the menu is limited, but what they do, they do well.

I also always appreciate a farm to table restaurant. We got a variety of things to try for our party of four. To start we got the sourdough bread with seaweed butter, kale salad, beef tartare, and yellowfin tuna carpaccio. The kale salad was my stand out app, I loved the fresh black currents in it. We arrived fairly close to closing time, so perhaps that played a role in our experience. We started with the $8 sourdough bread. The bread was clearly fresh, but it was served cold. It came with a seaweed butter, and neither of us felt the flavors worked well together. We asked for regular butter instead and were charged an additional $1. I don't mind paying for extras, but it added to the disappointment when the food itself wasn't enjoyable. My cocktail sounded and looked like a mezcal Old Fashioned, but it tasted more like cough syrup and had virtually no mezcal flavor. After one sip, I decided not to order another drink. I mentioned it to our server, but nothing really changed. The rigatoni had potential flavor-wise, but the pasta was very tough. I asked for it to be cooked longer, but it came back still undercooked. The $40 pork dish was even more disappointing. It was served with lamb's quarter, which I later learned is a wild spinach-like vegetable. The combination simply didn't work for me. The dish also included mushrooms and a blueberry sauce. Somehow the blueberries tasted sour, and the overall flavor profile was very strange. Our server had recommended the dish, saying it was very good, so I went with it. Unfortunately, it was one of the least enjoyable restaurant dishes I've had in quite some time. To her credit, the server offered to bring me something else, but I was ultimately charged for the replacement item as well. By that point it was already 9:30 PM, we'd just come from an event, and we were starving. My partner is generally good about simply deciding not to return to a restaurant and moving on, so we ate what we could and called it a night. What bothers me most isn't the bill--it's feeling like we wasted both our evening and our money. We had been having a wonderful night until dinner. Bad food genuinely makes me sad, especially when I was so excited to try a place with such a strong reputation. Rating: * Atmosphere: 4/5 * Food: 2/5 * Overall: Disappointing experience in an otherwise beautiful space.

The small signage made it a little difficult to find inside the Marriott (see pictures), but from the moment we walked in, heard the live piano player and saw the dining area - we knew this would be a great experience. We started off by sharing orders of Lobster Bisque (see picture) and Burrata with Toast (see pictures). We really enjoyed both of them - the Lobster Bisque was so creamy and smooth and the Burrata was cool, fresh and clean. They were a great combination to start our dinner experience and I would recommend both of them. Since it was a Friday during lent, my wife opted for the BBQ Shrimp Pasta (see picture) and I went with the Daily Fish Special on Blue Corn Grits (see picture). As we always do when we go out, we shared our plates and really enjoyed both of them. The BBQ Shrimp Pasta was rich, buttery and smooth and the Fish Special was a tasty white, flaky and blackened fish served on a bed of rich, creamy blue corn grits.
