Came here for Easter because it wasn't full and they had a big table for all seven of us. Service is friendly and our waitress smiled every time she approached our table so you could see she cared about our experience. There are three grills on the big tables so you can spread out and don't need to wait too long for your food to cook. It's All You Can Eat, so you will leave full. Don't over order though because if you want to bring home leftover grill items, you'll have to pay for the overage, which is fair. There's a two hour limit but we were stuffed before then.

I come here every so often because it's local and not a bad spot to gather with friends. Staff can be a hit or miss at times but at least I come for the food. I really just enjoy the overall experience of korean bbq and the sides are always 5 star. Portions can lean towards the larger side even if it's just 2 people so i'm not able to get much variety of meats as i'm full of the first 3. haha

Yuuum. Korean food and all-you-can-eat BBQ in Olympia/Lacey area! It's located next to Atomy Olympia Center in the Tanglewilde Shopping Center. Lots of parking that won't ever be a problem. I didn't realize there was an AYCE KBBQ around the area until a friend suggested it one day. The restaurant had three dinner AYCE options with different prices: $22 for lunch; $26, $30, or $33 for dinner. My friends and I chose the cheapest one and began ordering the brisket, pork belly and shrimp. There wasn't much meat options that we could choose from compared to the normal KBBQ places I've been to, so we kept ordering the same things (brisket!!). The banchan (sides) are really good here. One of the workers (or owner?) said their kimchi is the best, and it was really good! The workers here are very nice even though we would need to call them to order more or get a refill on banchan/water. They came by each time with a cheerful attitude! Happy that there is actually a place for me to get my KBBQ fix during my time here. Definitely place if you want to indulge in endless meats and delicious banchan.

It grilled perfectly. I am not sure if the kimchi was vegetarian or not, I eat fish so I didn't check. My kids got the hot beef broth and liked it. There are many noodle options, including ramen, which the kids liked. They also enjoyed the brisket. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and checked on us a few times. How it works: Select your tier ($35/$45/$55). The whole table needs to be on the same tier. Pick two broths. Select five meat/seafood/tofu/noodle options to start. Go to the self serve area and get your veggies. Go to the self serve sauce bar and make up your dipping sauce. Cook your food. Value: three people, with soda/tea was $135 and I tipped $15. We got the first tier only. Hot food like egg rolls and pot stickers are extra and we didn't get any. Soft serve ice cream and cookies are included at no extra charge. I appreciate the pricing model but I found it expensive. This is more than we spend on sushi.

And if you want something a little fancier, they do have mocktails at $8. I spent $185 including tip and taxes for 3 people. The set up is nice as you can grill and have soup on the next grill. They do have a few booths and then some tables. But if youre a larger party, you might get split up if they're busy. I'd recommend reservations if you have a large party. But getting to the food. For the Hotspot portion, you can pick 2 broths and its set up in a yingyang formatted pot. Then you go to the "buffet line" to get your veggies, meats and etc. They do have some hot foods like chicken wings and some type of fried roll. Hotspot was just okay. I was hoping for more flavor. The kbbq was just okay too. But one thing to keep in mind, this spot does not have the exhaust pipes/hood like they do at kbbq to help with the air, so prepare to smell. Leave your fancy/dry cleaning clothes at home. When my friends and I went, it got pretty hot inside, and there was only a box fan. So being next to a grill and no A/C made it more hot and uncomfortable. Maybe its changed now hopefully. The staff was nice and service was decent. Oh, and they do have an ice cream machine, so that's what made this spot like a 3.5 out of 5.

This spot happened to pop up as a nearby Google recommendation, so we decided to give it a try. Maybe it was the hunger talking, but the food tasted **absolutely spectacular** for something so simple! I ordered the K-Town Combo, which comes with two proteins, japchae, lettuce, and rice with curry all layered nicely in a bowl. I chose bulgogi and marinated pork with the Hot spice level, and everything sat on top of the lettuce, japchae noodles, and curry rice with a drizzle of sauce. It was seriously so good--flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what I needed after a long day. The restaurant itself is very small, with just a handful of tables that look like wooden benches, and there's no restroom, so it definitely feels more like a quick casual spot than a full sit-down restaurant. When we arrived around 6:30 PM, the place was empty, and we ended up chatting and eating until around 8:30 PM when they were about to close. It never got overly busy, though a few customers came in and out throughout the evening, so it seems like a pretty casual, low-key vibe. One thing that did throw me off was finding the place. I came from the direction of the roundabout and somehow struggled to spot it--maybe I was just tired. Parking wasn't too bad overall, but I think I may have approached from the wrong direction when I tried to park in front. I'll be honest--I didn't really pay attention to the cleanliness because I was too focused on enjoying the food. I didn't get sick and I left feeling full and happy, so overall I'd say it was a great experience. My only real gripe was how difficult it was for me to find, but the food alone makes me want to come back and try more from the menu.

Little condiments given, which sucks, because that is what makes the whole meal...saved it, even. Also got the Korean burrito, which was soooo deep fried that the taste of the breading overtook whatever the filling was supposed to taste like. The fried breading was so overdone that it hurt my teeth to bite through and chew it. The staff also had no wrapping foil to use, so they put it in a cup? Bro, WHAT?! I can barely get this thing out of the cup to eat. It was so bad. Genuinely. Maybe it is on me for trying to give a chance to Asian food in Lacey. No need to. Prove myself wrong on my preconceived notions. But, would not visit here again unless it is for the spicy mayonnaise mustard whatever condiment. Only good thing from this whole restaurant. Staff is also so lost in the sauce that you have to reiterate your order. Very small restaurant with not much parking. Only like 3 tables with 2 chairs each, so better to take to-go so you could eat elsewhere... maybe at a nearby park or something. No motion in this restaurant, fr

Sister had to do some groceries and she mentioned going for Korean and getting seafood pancake. Hmm salad, Korean seafood pancake. Let's go. Love the shopping plaza Gangnam is in as it has other international businesses here. Oh yay, real Koreans, annyeonghaseyo! We never grill for ourselves as I mess it up and it never tastes the same so traditional dining for us. Sister says she has to have seafood pancake but as a family we decided on set A. While waiting we had tea. And to my delight, it was rice tea. So I know this place is fo' real. Tea wasn't too hot and so we were able to sip it right away. And for summer, it's a bit cooler so the warmth of the tea was really comforting. First main dish that came out was the fried mackerel. Not that I'm an expert in this but 10-days going through S Korea and getting to experience the local cuisine for each province, this was bringing back great memories of our trip. Since we didn't have anyone to clean our fish, I was more than happy to clean the bones from the fish. Very little bones and so we were able to eat the fish easily without worrying about choking on it. Everything was so good. So much food. As for lunches, never a fan of it, but my sister enjoyed it and said it was good kind of spicy. Two kinds of broccoli, the one noticeably broccoli was seasoned well and I ate that up. The other broccoli was thinly sliced stems that was pickled with jalapeños. I bit too vinegary for me. But I pretty much finished up all the other banchan. The other main dishes of bulgogi and japchae dos not disappoint. The ladies that served us were so sweet and helpful. Told my sister that every year we visit, Gangnam is a must. Oh and price, the meal set A at $49, very reasonable.

My teenage son and I were craving wings and decided to try Ikonic Wings after seeing good reviews…read moreabout them. We recently moved to Washington from California, so we've been missing our usual wing spots back home. Haven't tried any wing spots yet after our move so decided to give Ikonic Wings a try. We ordered in person since we weren't familiar with the menu, and the employee working the counter was super friendly and patient with all of our questions. I didn't see it on the menu so I inquired how many flavors we could select (i.e. 2 or 3 flavors for 18 wings??); She explained how the flavor selections worked depending on wing count (1 flavor for the 2 lowest selections, 2 flavors for the rest, includes Wings Only or Wings Combo). She even let us sample the Sweet Blaze sauce when we asked what the flavor consists of. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3 tables inside, and we waited around 18 minutes for our order (she provided the estimated time in advance and we were willing to wait). There's also a small carryout fee if you order to go. We ordered 18 wings with the Badass Buffalo and Garlic Parmesan sauces for about $30, which felt fair imo. The wings were still hot when we got home, smelled amazing, and the chicken itself was definitely juicy and meaty. They don't skimp on portion size at all, and I actually liked the thick breading texture too. Unfortunately, the flavor just didn't really hit for us. I was hoping for something more flavorful and crispy like Fire Wings back in California. My son and I agreed that the buffalo sauce honestly tasted more like BBQ than buffalo, and it wasn't spicy at all. To me, the garlic parmesan mostly just tasted salty instead of cheesy or garlicky. Even with buttermilk ranch, the flavors still tasted pretty average. I do appreciate that they're veteran-owned and the customer service was genuinely great, but for wings, flavor is the biggest thing for me. I'd rather have smaller wings with bold flavor than bigger wings that taste kind of bland. Not sure if we'll be returning, probably around a 6 out of 10 for us personally. ***Editing to Add (after Owners Response): Appreciate the thoughtful response; please don't take it to heart! We have no issues with the price, just wanted to include as much details with our experience for those unaware like ourselves, so the carryout fee is completely understandable. The staff accurately made the order; the buffalo sauce just tasted more for us like a bbq/buffalo sauce we're used to from frozen store bought groceries, and our level of spice tolerance is higher so that could be why our standards weren't met. As for the garlic parmesan, I'm no chef, but if there is possibly a way to douse some fresh garlic parmesan on the chicken after the breading/frying, maybe that could improve the taste if some of it is lost from the process? Not attacking whatsoever, just food for thought. Also, When I mentioned ranch, we didn't try the ranch here, we had our own at home to eat with the wings, so no shade to your ranch :)
