This was my first time at the OBI nail spa (outstanding beautiful individual). I walked in and they were available to attend. The spa looks decent, not super fancy. They were busy for a Thursday afternoon. I went with their basic pedicure but the lady who worked on my feet suggested their special and I obliged. She worked on my feet and did a good job. Felt good and relieved after a weeks work. The overall service took about an hour and I am not complaining. The massage chair is an added bonus if you like one. The prices are reasonable and you have to tip in cash. Overall a good place owned by locals.

DO NOT COME TO THIS NAIL SALON. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! This is hands down THE grossest nail salon I've ever been to in my entire life. I should have checked the reviews before i stepped foot inside here. Lesson learned! I came here to get a mani/pedi during the weekday because i was out in the area running errands. There wasn't a single customer in the salon when i arrived. There were 4 women sitting in the back eating lunch and watching TV. I asked if anyone had time for nails and they laughed and said "well no ones here so yeah". The smell inside was INCREDIBLY overwhelming. Like pungent. I thought it was just from their lunch but come to find out they were actually PEELING GARLIC while a fan is blowing in the back???? Like not just a little either. But seriously WHY ARE YOU PEELING GARLIC IN A NAIL SALON?!?!? That is so unsanitary and gross!! I was beyond SHOOK! I had been soaking in the water for maybe 5-10 minutes when they became angry when i told them it so smelled horribly, i was very uncomfortable and that i didn't want to proceed with my nails and wanted to leave. They started yelling in their language and becoming very aggressive towards me. They tried to charge me full price even though i literally didn't get anything done. These women there were EXTREMELY unprofessional and so rude. I have never ever in my life experienced anything quite like this before so I have made a formal complaint with the BBB. This "nail salon" SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY it's completely UNSANITARY. Pictured is the nail tech with her big ass bag of peeled garlic. BEYOND DISGUSTING TO DO INSIDE A NAIL SALON!!!!! I guess we know why no one was in there now! YIKES

This is two days after a dip powder manicure. Six nails are chipping.

My daughters and I heard great reviews about this nail salon so we went Sunday for pedicures and a manicure for a special occassion. It was a huge disappointment. The three of us all requested the same pedicure treatment but we all received different services. After the pedis were done I wanted a manicure and opted for dip powder. That experience was disappointing as well. The tech filed my nails for just a second or two per nail, didn't push back cuticles and no oil. He was obvuously in a rush so I was feeling uncomfortable about taking his time. After he was done they looked okay but a little sloppy. Two days later 6 nails are chipping. I feel so cheated, ripped off and really disappointed that I can't give this place a great review like my friends did. Not worth the money I spent or the time to drive there.

I didn't catch the name of the nail tech who did my nieces nails but they came out beautifully. Exceeded our expectations. She did exactly what my niece wanted. This was a great first experience for her.

It's really sad to see a business review go down the drain within the last 10 mins of getting my nails done. When I first check the review of this salon it was somewhat decent not bad, so I decided to go and try it out. I had just finished my hike so I was in my shoes. I walked into the shop and was assisted by Tiffany and a guy name Duc. They're customer service was great. Only thing was, my nails aren't really that well done but they were good. Finishing up my nails I waited for my toes to dry. Please keep in mind I understand the language. Another lady comes by and ask me about Yelp and if I had an account. I told her yes and she insist and basically seems like a force for me to give her a 5 stars and told me to do it right then and there. I kept telling her no and told her I don't have yelp on my phone but only on my laptop. After all I haven't checked to see how my nails fully looked. She then insist me to give her a 5 star on google since I didn't have Yelp on my phone. I basically told her the same thing. She was so Verbally forceful that the whole shop knew she was telling me to give her a 5 star for about 3-5 mins. I stuck to my answer and told her I will post a review when I get home. She then left and spoke in the language and said to my nail tech "that girl over there doesn't want to leave, is she done? She's taking up space" at this point they aren't aware that I understand what they are saying. I then waited till my toes were dried and ask if I'm good to pay. The same lady grabs my shoes and took me to the register and mumbled a bunch of harassment and very disrespectful things about me in the language again, because I did not leave a review when she demanded me to. When I paid with cash she grabbed the cash out of my hand instead of waiting for my to hand it to her. She also waited for me to give her the tips so she can distribute to my nail techs but I told her I'll do it myself. So long story short, I verbally say thank you in my language and let her know that I know what she's saying and that that's no way to treat a customer. I gave them a 2 instead of a 1, because my customer service was not bad nor was my technician. My nails are okay/good but my experience was horrible due to what happened at the end. This was uncalled for and no one should be force to place a 5 star review. You should be carefully who walks into your shop doors and always treat everyone with respect. Harassment or hate speech is no way to treat any customer. I will not be back to this shop.

Not worth the high prices, I was in that side of town and decided to pop in for a manicure/pedicure and was very disappointed. For starters their prices are higher than where I live but that was fine, I would imagine I would receive better service. My manicure is so poorly done, the whole nail is not even painted. I pointed it out to the tech and she "fixed" it but as you can see by the picture it's not. I took that pic when I got home, there are bumps in the polish, sloppy edges, and the gel is low quality too. The tech who did my pedicure did a great job, the only bad part about that was the polish itself. By the end of the day it was also already chipping, and when I touched it, it made some ridges as if it wasn't dry yet but it had been several hours. Really upset I paid for this.

I just paid $75 for a Gel pedicure! The gel was messed up before I left and it was packed! The bottoms of my feet felt like sand paper after the pedi. My gel is already peeling off! I will never go back to this place! I'd recommend people go somewhere else! I remember why I stopped coming here years ago.

Worst experience ever. Fist, I made an appointment and still waited 20 minutes only to sit fir an additional 25 minutes soaking my hands in acetone. I was getting a dip refill so the product I had on was disintegrating into my skin. Then the nail technician moved me to her table and didn't even try to remove the product from my hands and hen proceed to cut my natural nails down from one inch to numbs without asking. I complained and she just laughed. The picture says it all. I was charged full price and will never step foot in that place again!

Really disappointed in my manicure from Obi. I went in for a manicure and pedicure and felt very rushed. They started on my nails while also doing my toes which made the service feel very rushed and half done. She had to carry all the tools over to my lap. She didn't trim the nails at all so they are different lengths and filed them so quickly so they don't feel smooth. When she applied the gel polish I noticed it didn't cover the full nail so I asked her to please paint the whole nail. She went over in an extra coat which made it thicker and still didn't get the full nail. I think it looks really sloppy. I wish I would have asked her to take them all off instead of let her finish.

Hands down the best nail salon I've been to. Very clean and Don always does my nails perfectly. Not thick or oddly shaped, he takes his time and very thorough. He never tries to "up-sell" me. Sometimes if I'm not sure what color I want, I let him do what he wants and they're always on point! Check out Don he's the best!! I've been Getting my nails done for probably 10 years and I've tried many places. This one takes the cake!! Tell him Tracey sent ya! You won't be disappointed!

I have been going to Donny for almost a year for all my nail needs. He is very friendly and is always determined to have my nails turn out just the way I like. As he says" he likes challenges" and I'm one to always have a challenge for him. I visited this morning for a fresh full-set and had a picture in mind for how I wanted them to look. So as I'm getting an amazing pedicure he goes to work on my much needed makeover on my hands. He took extra steps and lots of time to create the depth of what I wanted. Needless to say they came out beyond great! They have a wonderful friendly staff in all areas for whatever you might need. I have tried all services and have never been disappointed and the establishment is always clean and inviting. read more

Been going to OBI for 8 years and usually had a good experience Tiffany is my favorite tech. When I called for an appointment today I was told Tiffany wasn't there and Lily was suggested instead. She was a little rough when scrubbing my feet with the pumice and made the skin on my big toe bleed. She was very quick to put an antiseptic on it. I started to worry and realized that no antiseptic had been added to the soaking water like it usually is. I didn't see her take her tools out of a bag like usual and when she finished with me, the tools were just put in a little plastic basket on her cart. It didn't look like they were going to the steriliser for treatment. I couldn't find anyone who could speak English and understand what my issue was. I am not happy about this and may not go back. Seems like the shop is going downhill. read more

This place is Amazing! So about a month ago some coworkers and myself stopped in here after a long days work and received amazing customer service. Everyone was super friendly the service was nice and our nail techs were very attentive. I got an amazing pedicure then proceeded to get my dip powder mani, the closed at 7 and even with the time rolling well past 7 Donni still took his time with my nails and that's when I knew %100 this was a great nail shop! I will definitely be back here. P.s: im still wearing my powder dip polish and besides Healthy nail growth, my nails still look amazing! read more

Not sure what has happened to this nail salon, I've gone off an on for over 10 years and always had a good experience. The last time I went they tried to up sell me on everything despite me telling me no several times. I realize that times are hard right now for most of us but once you're told no you only want a manicure,don't keep telling a customer that they should get gel nails. A complete turn off. My daughter wanted to get her nails done dipped, and was told that they could but the mail technician that took care of her argued that her nails were acrylics and not dipped! They were dipped at a different salon. My daughter a teenager, didn't know how to speak up and was given acrylic on top of the dip! A mess! I was unaware because I wasn't near her had I been we would have just left and gone to the salon where she had gotten them dipped a few weeks earlier. I was very disappointed in them. Must be new management. Won't be returning ever. read more

It's my 2nd time at Obi Nail Salon. I arrived at about 2p. I wanted a pedicure. All nail techs were busy so I ate my lunch n waited for 1st avail tech (10mins). I got seated at pedi chair by main tech lady. She drew water and asked what kind of service I wanted. I asked for basic pedicure w/o lotions, oils or massages. I did request for additional cost callous remover and French Tip colored nails. Nail tech then removed toe nail polish and asked if I wanted a manicure too. I agreed based on her suggestion. She then said, she would let my feet soak longer and started working on my manicure. My feet sat in the water for a good 25mins to which then the nail tech went to assist a new walk in customer. Nail tech went back n forth with my manicure and new customer pedicure. Ugh! Nail tech then asked another tech lady to finish my pedicure which I had already removed my feet from water since my toes felt like raisins. New pedicure tech didn't cut my toes nails nor did she file them down or removed excess cuticles. She only added callous remove n with stone and started painting my toes nails. I was frustrated and didn't want to stay there any longer. Main tech nail lady finished my manicure which looked great. The pedicure tech finished my toes that looked decent but I knew they weren't clean/done right. I got charged $65 for basic pedicure and basic manicure w gel nails. I left $5 tip and I was out of there! read more

Have been here before and had a good experience. Went a few weeks ago and got a pedicure and a manicure. I waited 30 minutes (which I was fine with) ,but when it was actually my turn they rushed and were absolutely careless. I tipped my nail lady $20 anyways and then af then after only 2-3 days, my nails were chipped and looked terrible (this was after I was convinced to do gel because it "lasted so much longer") very unhappy with the quality and service, would not recommend read more

Got my acrylics done twice and the service was great and nails were always shaped correctly and smooth, but then i went to get them removed and they were utterly torn from my natural nails, despite me asking for them to leave my natural nail length. She ripped my nail off from my skin and buffed them down so much they feel extremely thin now. When it came time to pay she blamed me for having "thin nails" instead of taking the responsibility. I liked them but because of this i will NOT be returning. read more

I am VERY VERY disappointed in the mani pedi I received today. The pedicure started out good but the technician touched my wet toe nail when she put on the flip flop. She told me she would fix it later as she escorted me to her station to give me my manicure. Well it was down hill from there. I can not express the poor job she did on my nails. Her main concern seemed to be getting me out of her chair so that she would not lose her place in line for the next customer. One hand got 2 coats of top coat and the other got one. Honestly when she left the station I thought she was coming back to finish. I looked around and she was giving a pedicure to another customer. She did not bother to clean the polish around my nails. When I complained to the Manager she cleaned the polish from around my nails and told me it would be $37.00. This establishment will NOT be getting my business in the future. read more

I love this place. I am lucky enough to have Lily as my regular nail Technician and she is more than amazing. My gel manicure lasts 2+ weeks and the pedicure after a full month still looks great. Lily as does my wax as well and does a super job. I am treated like a friend not a customer. A number of times when she was off or on vacation I had to use some of the other girls. They are well trained, super nice and do an excellent job as well. I am one totally satisfied customer. read more

This was the 2nd nail salon that I went to last night to get a gel manicure done. I showed them the picture of the design that I wanted, however no one at the salon could do it. I then showed my second option and the lady said that she could do it. Needless to say my gel manicure looks nothing like the original picture. (see picture I posted) The lady kept saying that originally the price was supposed to be $35 but she is giving me a discount so it's $32. She must've mentioned it like 3-4 times. I didn't even get my hand massage. I originally came to this place because I looked them up on Yelp and there are very good designs here. It was after 7 by the time we were done so I wasn't going to be a b**** and tell her to re do them, and I have friends and family who do nails so I know how hard they work. Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed and won't be returning. read more

I was so excited to find a salon that did a decent pedicure in the east valley. I went about three weeks ago and it was great. Today was another story.... My first concern is when I saw that after applying acetone to remove the polish from my toe nails, there was still some on there. Rather than going back and using the cotton to get it off, she files it off. I can honestly say that I have been to a lot of places and that has never happened. She spent about less than five minutes removing the cuticles and used the file for everything else. "Ummm ma'am your nails are digging into my feet and this water is way too hot." Why would you spend more time rubbing lotion into my legs than applying the actual polish which is a reflection of your work. I was alarmed to see that the cheapest pedicure was 32 bucks so I told her I just want something basic based on the work I had seen so far. Well you guessed it....she pretty much slapped on the polish. The best part is when I went to pay she asked if I wanted to run my card for the amount or more. "Oh you mean a tip? Ok ummm add three bucks and I will check and see if I have cash." I totally lied because technically I wanted to tip nothing cause I knew my feet were a mess. I got home and it is worst than I thought in the light. She didn't even get polish on the whole nail of my pinkie toe. One toe nail is even diagonal in shape rather than straight. I am applying polish to my own feet that I just paid to get done. So with that being said...not going back. If you must go, try going during the week when they aren't trying to get people in and out of the chairs so quick. Otherwise sit in the tub at your house, buy a cute color, and save some money and time. read more

Ouch! As I'm sitting in this chair getting a pedicure and trying not to cry, I'm reading the previous Yelp reviews (should have done this first)! This guy is basically ripping the skin off my feet and digging into my legs with his fingernails! He is also putting all the used utensils back into the "clean" box. Uggh. I should have run away when I used the restroom first and the toilet handle was a piece of string and there was trash all over the floor. Dateline should use this place for one of their nail salon horror stories! Worst. Experience. Ever. read more

Every time I go I get great service and recommendations, so far every technician has done a great job and the price they quote has always been what it ended up being, which is really important being I've been to some salons and they seem to pull the old bait and switch. I would recommend this place to anyone anytime hands-down. read more

Classic pedi = Express (rushed) pedi, even with an appointment. Pros: 1 star for the comfy chair massage. 1 for the friendly technician. Cons: Once she found out I was getting the classic ($22) pedi it turned into "express" - 20 minutes from the minute I sat down to when she finished. Rushed in all aspects. She even smudged my nails which I had to bring to her attention. Granted, today was a busy Sunday but I made an appt and shouldn't feel rushed, especially for walkins. This was my 4th and last pedi at this place. read more

Sooo much better than the place on Gilbert Rd/Ocotillo Rd. (Won't mention the name). Here, they take their time, while you listen to relaxing music. They pay attention to detail and make sure you're happy. Love them! read more

I came here for the first time 30 minutes before closing and I'm glad I chose this place out of all the nail salons I had searched for online. At first, I was a bit worried the nail tech would rush because I came in late but she didn't. Tiffany took her time and she did an amazing job. I loved how my nails turned out. Worst full set I have ever received. My nails are lumpy and uneven with them all turning down like hooked noses. The service was also worse than I remember here. My nail technician acted as if I was an inconvenience to her sighing and engaging with other customers and becoming agitated when she had to do my nails. What a rushed and botched job. Even though they had a special for 24.99 I was still charged 30.00 before tip. I will no longer be referring people here because of the terrible attitudes and service. read more

Ok service, I went because I needed my nails done for a photo shoot. Usually people go to get there Nails done to kind of relax and unwind but she was done in literally 30 mins. I was surprised because I had no hand massage and had just got there. If your in a rush I would suggest this place. Also the Gel nail polish only lasted a week so I was even more disappointed with this place. read more

I have visited my share of nail salons from east to west coast, and this place is top-notch. They always take their time with the massages during pedicures and the chairs are great. I actually fell asleep during my pedicure today. I request Donnie for nails. He shapes my nails to perfection and they always look flawless. I have been to this spa many times before and have always had wonderful experiences with Vanessa. Unfortunately, she wasn't available this time, so I was scheduled with a different therapist. I have never had an issue here until this appointment. I booked this massage because I wanted to relax and get relief from tension in my shoulders, neck, and head. I never requested a deep tissue massage. Instead, the therapist simply started doing one without ever asking if that was what I wanted. Within minutes, I was wincing in pain and told her multiple times that it was too much. I also explained that I get migraines and prefer a gentler, more relaxing massage that focuses on my problem areas. Rather than listening to what I was asking for, she continued with an aggressive deep tissue massage over my entire body. She never once touched my neck or head as I requested, she focused entirely on my arms and shoulder blades. Instead of adjusting her technique, she told me I had so much tension that I needed to schedule at least 2 or 3 two-hour deep tissue massage. By the end of the session, she even instructed me to ice my body afterward because of how intense the massage had been. That alone should have been a sign that this was far beyond what I had booked or wanted. I came in hoping to leave relaxed, not feeling like I needed to recover from my massage. She also talked throughout nearly the entire appointment, which made it impossible to unwind. The combination of the constant conversation and the painful massage meant I never had a chance to actually relax. She also saw me wincing and said that, "sometimes, you have to do the work." I left sore for days afterward, and the massage ultimately triggered one of my migraines. A massage should be tailored to the client's comfort level and goals, especially after they communicate what they want and say they are in pain. Unfortunately, my requests were ignored from beginning to end. I'm incredibly disappointed because I've always had positive experiences here before. However, after this experience, I will never book with this therapist again.

I should have informed him it's not the pressure it's the excessive rubbing in the same spot. I got a noticeable bruise the next morning and a couple of dark spots that is light bruising. I did not feel the knots loosening, I did not feel any lighter. It's been almost 3 days and my back is tighter than it has ever been and hurts especially my shoulder blade area and neck where he kept rubbing. Idk what all the good reviews are about; both my sisters who also got massages with me said it was not great. I just had the worst experience out of my sisters. The bed was so uncomfortable we had to keep adjusting the placement of our head. I did not sleep a blink. $100 for a 90 minute idk what! If you're going to give this place a chance; plan for the courage to speak up and walk out without paying. This place deserves no stars!

I go here all the time to get my nails done and I'm always happy with the results. Everyone who works here is really nice and they always greet me with a smile. I recently went in to get acrylics and I was introduced to dipping powder, which is a new thing they're doing under the new management. It's stronger than gel polish, but it doesn't destroy your nails like acrylics and your nails come out of it strong, which is the part I really liked when I was told about it. I'm so glad I gave it a shot! It's no more expensive than acrylics, and even though the process is a tad longer, it was totally worth it! My nails look great and they feel nice and light because it's just a powder they put on - no polish! It was really nice to have them tell me about this option because, to me, it showed that they really care not only about making sure my nails look nice, but also that they're healthy and strong. The environment is beyond welcoming and everyone is so very professional. #1 Obi is a great nail salon with great customer service! Lily is the absolute best, I get the dipping powder which is similar to the gel manicure however it doesn't damage your nails and makes them much harder, similar to acrylic but its your real nails! Lily pays a lot of attention to detail and the dipping powder usually lasts about 3 weeks! I woul dhighly recomend #1 OBi and Lily to anyone looking for a great nail salon! read more
