The employee who assisted me was extremely informative, kind, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. After speaking with her for a bit, I learned that she was actually the store manager, Miranda Troncoso. It was refreshing and impressive to see a manager leading from the front and working alongside her team. That level of hands-on leadership really stood out to me. I truly appreciated the way she handled customer interactions, especially knowing how challenging it can be to work with the public--I work in wireless as a district manager, so I understand firsthand. Finish Line has a great leader at this location, and it definitely shows in the customer experience.

This happened to me on the 27 Nov 2015, my wife bought a pair of the 1460 Doc Martens, I realized they were not leather (Store #371). As soon as I made it home from work that day, I told her these were not leather boots. We promptly took them back to exchange for a pair of leather boots. Empl# 420647, tried to convince me the Vegan Leather was real leather. I just told him to order me a pair of 1460 Cherry Doc Martens Leather. The return at this point seemed smooth but to my surprise on 10 Jan 2016, the day our family could gather and celebrate Christmas, we discovered the boots that had been ordered by the clerk were the completely wrong boots (R15265601). We followed the return instructions. Returned the incorrect product to Journeys Inc. The RETURN instructions were followed. The boots were sent via UPS Ground (Track#1Z V52 2E3 06 2605 1968) on 11 Jan 2016. The instructions said the product could not be returned to the store and I would receive a credit to my card once received and processesed. RYAN at the Dock in Lebanon, TN received the boots on 15 Jan 2015 @ 1059. I was NEVER credited by Journeys Inc. $169.99....Still waiting patiently for my refund. On 12 Feb 2016, I called customer service on there packing list 1-888-324-6536. Tragically laughable, Journeys Inc prints they incorrect phone number on their packing lists (Picture Posted) I hunted down the CORRECT number somewhere in the internet. I was able to find the Wide here which Nobody else has. I searched online on Amazon and Red Wings Website. None of them had Wide Sizes. I am so glad I made the Trip to the store because I guessed my size all wrong. Red Wings are incredibly well made in the USA. I have always had Irish Setters but decided to take the plunge and get the Iron Rangers. They are beautiful and as Solid as they come. Oliver answered all of my questions and was very patient. There is a sweet young man, Ruben, who was very patient and helped answer all of my questions as I was trying to figure out proper size of a new shoe with my usual insoles. Upon removing the shoe to wrap up my visit, I noticed a small hole on the top of the shoe. It was slightly hidden, but based on the work I do, I feared the small hole would eventually become a bigger issue over time. So I asked Ruben if there was another pair. I didn't ask for a discount, but he offered to see if there was a possibility for a discount based on the small hole noticed, as he had seen it too. He walked to the back to touch base with the MOD, and she came back with what seemed like a dismissive and condescending attitude. She began inspecting the shoe in front of me, repeating that there was no hole. I pointed it out for her and showed her where the hole was. She said "So you don't want them?". I wasn't going to argue with her, but I also wasn't going to waste Ruben's time at his attempt to save the sale, so I purchased the insoles and left to buy the shoe from another retailer. Had she spoken to me like an adult, or just explained for such a minor flaw she could not offer a discount, or offered to order another pair for me, my transaction would've continued. But not only am I a trained seamstress, with a degree in fashion design, and a small business in handmade leather goods, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I can and will order online, I just feel bad from an environmental perspective doing so when it results in a LOT of trial and error. I don't usually need extra support so I am okay with just a greeting.
